We celebrated our anniversary here and had no regrets. Going here was easy via a tour package. We got a ride from Metro Manila to Bataan, then a boat ride, then the same way back. The tour was very enlightening, educational, and well prepared. We loved all the things we saw, touched, and learned. We also got lunch and drinks. I highly recommend visiting this place for couples, singles, even families with kids to learn and appreciate history together in a very personal way.

My trip to Corregidor island was very significant. Learning more about the Philippines history during WW2 was very interesting and important in my eyes. As our tour guide said, “these buildings are our memories of what happened here, and without memories there is no history”. I highly recommend to everyone living in the Philippines to visit this island, now especially is a good time because there are few visitors and according to our tour guide the buildings will not last much longer before collapsing.

It was such a great experience to explore the tunnel, the tour was so fun and the tour guide was friendly. I learned a lot while I was here, will definitely go back to stay overnight.

Historic Landmark - see tips👇 As at this writing, #Corregidor is only accessible via Bataan: a 3-hour drive from Manila, followed by a 20-25 minute outrigger boat ride. The full-day tour includes a 3-hour island visit with lunch. Hotel pickup was at 4 AM, with a return around 4-5 PM, making for a long day. Post Easter visit, it was hot and dry but pleasantly quiet. Our 3-hour drive was informative, as the driver also served as a guide, highlighting historical landmarks. The island tour was conducted via Tranvia bus, with good pre-ordered local meal, choice of pork or chicken. The museum was decent but in need of maintenance. Unfortunately, the Malinta Tunnel Lights and Sound show wasn’t available. Note: Booked through Travel & Tours Guia del Mar via Facebook, the company was prompt, helpful, and accommodating. Communication was via WhatsApp, with tour details emailed. A deposit was paid by bank transfer, and the balance in cash at their Bataan office. Special thanks to Flor (Coordinator), William (Guide), Tony (Driver), the boatmen, and Ferdie (Hotel Transfer) for their excellent service. Tips ❣️For summer tours, bring sunscreen, a hat, water, and wear comfy walking shoes.

Corregidor Island or otherwise known as Fort Mills is one of the fortified islands of the US military during the Second World War. Various guns and mortars are located within the island and most of them are accessible via the then available tour (courtesy of Sun Cruises). These photos were taken during May of 2018 when the ferry service from Pasay was still operational.

My love for the Philippines built after this experience. I'm a lover of not just nature, but history. Maybe because I'm from a country that doesn't have a lengthy history. So history forever interests me. Well I was NOT let down. We had a ferry ride to the island from Manila. It was comfortable but I was freezing cold 🥶. Good for some, bad for me. But as soon as stepped off we were greeted by our well knowledge guide and tour car. Although it was a group tour, I still felt it was very interactive and personal. That says a lot about the tour company (Sun Cruises Inc)! We had a buffet meal included and it was pretty good with a good variety. The special drink they gave us all was super tasty; very unique. I loved the light show. It seemed like something straight out of disneyland. It really shows the amazing potential Philippines has with their tourism to make it up to date with first world countries. To be able to walk through and EXPERIENCE it as of you were in the cave with the officers. It was truly a time machine moment. Please mark this review as helpful and follow my IG travel blog page entitled Mame Dee World 🥰 All I have to say is native and foreigner should both come and support this beautifully preserved historical island. 2500php/person Includes: Round trip ferry Island Entrance Fee Guided Island tour via tram Buffet lunch w/ 1 round of drinks 200php/person Lights and Sounds Show 30php/person terminal fee

We did the walking tour and we had so much fun! Yes we sweat a lot (which we were not prepared for lol) due to the hot weather but the hike and a little treck to the tunnels that the Japanese created was worth it. I strongly recommend this if you are fond of historical places, i wish they would include this as part of the educational field trip cause this is indeed an educational site. This place made me appreciate the Philippine history more than ever. The stories behind those ruins amazed me.

A must see, expensive : 3500 pesos for the Ferry, bus, guide, and brunch but really a must see. The tunnel is great for the history but boring and he don't deserved the additional price.
