I finally went to 10 Corso Como this weekend to look for a gift for my boyfriend (a watch). This shop is very famous in Milan so my expectations were very high. As all of the previous reviews say, the shop has pretty high prices, however you can find some small gifts in the 30-200€ price range.
As I was walking through the shop section, I felt like I was walking through a Milan model's borrowed clothes closet. Of course you have some of the famous designers and their pieces here like all of the reviews said, all with high price tags, but none of them really stuck out to me as pieces that I though "wow! this is so unique and special". I felt like this store was a hybrid of Nordstrom, Anthropologie, and even a little Urban Outfitters. After I left, I wondered how they manage to stay in business. 10 Corso Como is a Milan Institution no doubt, so I'm sure the owners have managed to network their way into the Milan's richest circle to keep this store afloat. Perhaps their art gallery and hotel bring in the revenue, I don't really know. I didn't see anyone actually buying anything in the shop, just a lot of browsing.
I didn't check out the art gallery, rooftop garden, hotel or cafe, maybe if I go next time.
I wouldn't say this shop is a must-see in Milan, but if you have some free time and are browsing cafes in the city, it's ok to stop by.
