I traveled with my husband and (adult) son to Munich - the Cortiina hotel did not disappoint, we all loved it! We’re from the USA, and communication was easy as the hotel staff spoke excellent English. There is an elevator to the room, and the facility has A/C that worked perfectly. Our room was completely quiet. Rooms are quite modern - the beds in some photos we saw looked small, but our queen size was a true queen sized bed. The bed is 2 mattresses placed on a single slat frame, but there was no gap in between and the bed was amazingly comfy! Pillows were really thin, but fear not - there is a pillow “menu” with descriptions of all kinds of pillows that are available - neck support, back or side sleepers, firm or soft - very cool! Just go to the desk and ask for what you want. The closet is quite large with hangers and several shelves, and the bathroom is very nice. Be aware, at least in our room, that the tub/shower is somewhat elevated so it may be difficult for some people to step into, and there were 2 steps up to get into the closet. We did not request an “accessible” room, so there may be rooms available to accommodate people with mobility issues. Also - the shower door is unusual - it covers about half the length of the tub when opened up - don’t open it all the way or you’ll SOAK the floor - open the shower door so that the part that swings open remains in the tub, sort of making a little “room” for your shower space. I know this makes zero sense as I describe it, but when you’re there you’ll see what I mean. Everything was sparkling clean, and they had DAILY room service! What a treat! The only thing I didn’t prefer was that they have refillable hand/body soap at the sink and in the shower, which I seriously dislike - seems potentially quite unsanitary as people can tamper with this - but it’s really rare now for a hotel to offer new, travel-sized products anymore. The location is great, we were close to everything! Honor bar in the room, key required to enter the building for peace of mind. We did a tour of Dachau and the Neuschwanstein Castle, but we walked to the touring facility and the only Uber we took was to the train station when we left Munich. The city (at least from the hotel area) is quite walkable, people are out at least until 10-ish when we retired for the evening and we felt completely safe. Close to restaurants, shops, everything! Recommend 10/10.
