SUPURB! The best and most creative Sicilian cuisine I have had in several years visiting the Island. Caponata was delicious. Bruschetta with straciatella and tomatoes was perfect. The spaghetti Norma with salted ricotta was amazing. The milk and honey pork had sweet and savory sauce with pink peppercorns and served over wild greens was very good and uniquely flavorful. The night we went they had live entertainment to complement the dinning experience. We did not have room for the pizza, but it looked great! Highly recommend Cortile Alessi.

The perfect restaurant. Cozy, special, relaxed and romantic. I am writing this review as we just finished eating and we don’t need many words to describe this place: Simply amazing ! Food- just perfect ( in the photos you can see the veal-perfectly cooked and the pork in the milk reduction with honey and red pepper ), drinks-nothing to complain, freshly baked bread in the oven, dessert- perfect. Service was fast and the waiter was amazing, very polite and friendly. Location is very close to the city centre, in a very romantic and cozy ambience. They also offer a garden but we had a table on the street which was even better. Would definitely recommend it. A must restaurant while in Catania. Enjoy, you’ll not regret it !

The restaurant had a nice atmosphere and location - a bit outside the clutter of the main streets. The food was good, although not great. Overall it would have been a nice place for lunch and short respite from the long day of the tourist - if it were not for the overwhelmingly slow service!!! Without any warning of delays or any glimpse of remorse, we were served our lunch 2 hours after we sat down!! At the same time, local customers who came in long after us, were served before us as they were obviously well acquainted with the personnel. Maybe it was accidental, maybe there was a good reason for it, I don’t know. All I know is that the family had an unpleasant experience and we lost 3 hours of good sightseeing time. Will not recommend, especially if you are with a small child, like we were.

Amazing food at a very fair price. An experience you want to live. Taste, atmosphere, service, everything was as it should be. A must-have point if you care about original, delicious food in a good atmosphere.

It was a great dinner with romantic atmosphere on our first day of vacation 😍 The pasta alla Norma is the best, and the bread 🥖 they serve is soooo warm and tasty 😋

The food is amazing - tasty and big portions! The service is super friendly, fast and nice. totally recommend this place! Meat is the best! It serves on the hot plate and you finish cooking it by yourself.

A good place, but with a few problems. The main issue is that we had to wait 75 minutes between the "antipasti", that arrived quickly after our order, and the mains. Unfortunately this is an important element of the dinner, since, of course, after we did wait all that time we were not anymore very hungry, since our antipasti was already being digested. This being clarified, it is fair to say that all the plates were very good; parmigiana di melanzane, wild vegetables, spaghetti norma and mezzi paccheri del golfo were well prepared, with quality ingredients, Another issue was the wine. We ordered a glass of red wine, but it arrived at a very low temperature, basically over 20 degrees: it was boiling. We did say to the waiter the wine was too warm and they did change the glasses, using colder ones. It did not really improve the situation and, most importantly, this shows that they're not keeping the wine in the right place, at the right temperature. So, two stars because a dinner is not just about food, is about the whole experience, and, unluckily, the whole experience here was not sufficiently good.

Oh My GOSH!!! Go here! Wait Staff are happy, fun and ready to serve! The drinks are heavy on the alcohol and the food will melt in your mouth!
