Cortona Resort - Le Terre dei Cavalieri

Le Terre dei Cavalieri is a true gem nestled in the heart of Tuscany. From the moment we arrived, we were enveloped in the warm embrace of Tuscan hospitality. The restaurant is a beautiful setting with its rustic charm and breathtaking views of the rolling hills. The food was nothing short of spectacular. This is beautiful property in a stunning location. Our room was spacious and spotlessly clean, with lovely views of the Tuscan countryside. The bed was very comfortable with a nice firm mattress, shower was great and nice big towels. The pool area also took advantage of the amazing views. Staff were friendly and breakfast offered an excellent selection. We were only staying one night and hoped to eat at the restaurant, but unfortunately we were staying on a Sunday and the restaurant is closed on Sundays. Since there is nowhere else in walking distance this was really disappointing. The lady who booked us in and told us was very apologetic, but that said, we may have considered booking elsewhere had we known. Since the hotel was so lovely I have not reduced the overall rating, but I would respectfully suggest that it be made clear to guests who book for a Sunday and they are advised about the restaurant closure, in view of the remoteness of the hotel.

They upgraded us to an outstanding room. Really felt like you were living at home. Most important- the food OUTSTANDING. We kept ordering more dishes because each kept getting better. They pre-split every dish for us to share (in attached pics it is half portions) Everything felt home made and organic. We had an amazing/ romantic view of the hills

Tranquil resort with an exceptional chef and sumptuous breakfasts. Why haven’t I reviewed before? Because it’s one of those places you want to selfishly keep close to your heart. This is our 5th visit and now it feels like coming home. The entire staff, along with the family owners, make you feel as if you belong here. You’re so close to everything yet a million miles away.

Beautiful surrounding of the hotel, we were Lucky enough to be there during sunflowers blossom, Room was spacious, pool lovely with pergolas and open bar with drinks and ice creams. We had dinner one evening at the resort’s restaurant which was really good ,the house Wine was also good. Hotel guests was mostly families with kids.

What all the previous reviews have said is true about this magical farmhouse. We stayed just one night, which was a Sunday on our way to Rome and we were just one of the few guests there. ||When we arrived, though, there were two different Baptismal lunch parties being held which were quite festive and loud that went on into the early evening hours. When we attempted to check there was an older woman who happened to be the owner of the beautiful estate in the reception area on the phone and her demeanor was one of annoyance at either of us interrupting her or the large noisy groups in the restaurant area. Either way, she called over a charming younger woman who checked us in. We never saw the owner again, but her staff was perfectly charming and helpful in our short stay. ||The location is perfect down on the plains of Tuscany with Cortona looming over head on the mountain. It was a welcome respite from the crowds we had just encountered in Venice and Florence, and we enjoyed walking out into the countryside.

Just got back from an amazing stay here for three nights for a wedding party. Everything was so wonderful! The rooms and suites are clean and comfortable. It was so nice to relax at the pool with Aperol spritz in hand next to beautiful views of Tuscan fields and mountains. Make sure to sign up for a cooking class! The friendly staff provided excellent service, and they were so generous to let us experience the Tuscan culture. You can't go wrong with a stay at Le Terre Dei Cavalieri!

The location was beautiful, in the middle of a sunflower field. But also really hard to do anything without a car. We had to taxi everywhere which took time to organize and expensive. Really wish we had rented a car. The breakfast was great. The pool was beautiful and clean. Our room was huge! Two floors and way more space than two people needed! Disliked · The restaurant food for dinner was very fancy. It was great to try new things but would've been nice to have a couple simple options as well. Online says the restaurant is closed on Tuesdays but it is only closed on Sundays. They do offer light lunch (sandwiches and salads) at the pool for lunch. This was great since we were planning on dinner at the restaurant on a Sunday so we got some sandwiches to save for dinner. The hours of the lunch and happy hour (late afternoon where they just offer drinks) were confusing. The signs said one thing and the staff said something different. One day the happy hour didn't even open which was a bummer since we had nothing else to do at that time and were planning on being able to have drinks.
