Cosmopolita Hotel Rome, Tapestry Collection by Hilton

"Why book? A smart, good value accommodation option from a reliable brand in Rome’s historic centre. Set the scene With its unassuming, faded façade, you could easily mistake the Cosmopolita for one of the many dated properties dotted around Rome. And you’d be right—the Cosmopolita has been around for years, run by an ever-rotating wheel of hotel chains. But now that Hilton has taken over, the Cosmopolita has never looked better. Step inside and you’ll be pleasantly surprised: for one, the sleek and shiny lobby has had a facelift, all cream stone and marble desks. Milling around are impeccable dressed guests, all drawn to the central location, smart rooms and great value prices.  The backstory There’s no shortage of Hilton hotels in Rome, but this is the first one to open under the Tapestry brand, which focuses on unique design based around the hotel’s location, as opposed to standard, similar rooms in every property you visit. The rooms Very few of the 76 rooms are identical, but the décor is mostly neutral across the board (pale wooden floorboards, white-washed walls, linen throws, neutral grey decor). It’s decidedly soothing after a day out in the city. The design team have made the most of the ancient buildings shape, bringing plenty of light in through shallow vaults and arched openings. Not all rooms come with views – reason enough to upgrade to the higher room categories (you’ll need to select ‘with view’) for vistas across Rome’s rooftops. Food and drink Breakfast comes in the form of piping hot espressos and buttery croissants—a step up from the often-saccharinely sweet breakfast pastries you find in Italy. Best of all, it can be enjoyed on the hotel’s new rooftop. The neighborhood/area Via di S. Eufemia is about as central as it gets, right near Piazza Venezia. The crowds a mixture of suited Italians on their way to work, grandmothers doing their market shopping and tourists out for some daily sightseeing. The service The concierge service is one of the best we’ve found, and staff were flawless, from the check-in to booking out the business rooms for last-minute work meetings. For families Rooms are surprisingly spacious and some of the quadruple rooms have two bedroom. There are also connecting rooms, ideal for bigger families who don’t want to be in the same room.  Accessibility Quite a few rooms are accessible but need to be requested before arrival. Anything left to mention? The new fitness center is worth a visit, with state-of-the-art equipment and full-length mirrors for weight and strength training." - Maresa Manara

I was a little hesitant reading some of the other reviews but this hotel is amazing. We knew the room would be smaller than what we are used to, but these rooms were a decent size. We had a room with two twins and a room with a bed and sofa sleeper. The elevator is small and the stairs are spiral shaped. We took the stairs almost every time (all that pasta and gelato), stayed on the 4th floor. The AC worked really well. The onsite breakfast is overpriced and not great, we have had better. The cafe attached to the hotel makes great coffee and the wine and food was good too. The location of this hotel can’t be beat, short walk to pretty much everything. Staff was helpful and pleasant. Will definitely stay again the next time we are in Rome.

The hotel was good for us. Close to almost every attraction and restaurant all within a walking distance. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. The rooms were clean and comfortable with an excellent AC system. |Downsides, the TV doesn't have many English channels and no way to stream or screen mirror to. The room was a good size but not enough space for clothing especially if your stay is a long one. Being centrally located, it does take in a some noise from the streets especially after 1am from a bar nearby but not overly loud. Being higher up from the ground level helps eliminate some of it. |Overall, we had a very pleasant 10 day holiday.

My husband and I stayed here and the service was wonderful. Front desk is incredibly kind and accommodating. They offered great recommendations since it was our first time in Rome and booked them for us as well as offering to book dinner reservations. They insisted on bringing us wine glasses instead of standard water glasses in the room when they saw us enter with a bottle of wine. Overall very clean and friendly, and walking distance from SO many great places.

We loved the location of this hotel! I was worried when I read the other reviews and after staying here I’m wondering if we stayed at the same hotel. We stayed on the 5th floor in a quiet, modern room facing the inner courtyard. It was a King room with a chair bed and I thought it was a decent size for three of us. |Truthfully we were only in the room to sleep so I wasn’t expecting any amenities other than a clean, comfortable room with a/c. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful and gave good restaurant recommendations. |You can walk to Trevi fountain in 8 min, coliseum in 10. We also walked to the Vatican but that was a little far. (45 min). |I would stay here again for a short trip to explore Rome. |Yes, there is only one elevator but we didn’t wait very long. |We got breakfast in the run- did not bother with the breakfast which was 25 euro a person.

Great location and friendly staff but doesn’t offer anything apart from a nice but basic breakfast and a small work out room. Bedrooms are incredibly small with little place to hang clothes never mind store luggage. Very noisy area and a tiny lift that is very slow |Location is good but it is very expensive for what is really a guest house approach |Hilton site says it has a restaurant and lounge. It has neither |There is a bar next door for a drink not otherwise you are in the main tourist traps ||Good for a one or two night stay but nothing longer. Better places available at the same cost. This does not meet the standard for Hilton

To start, the hotel lacked the elegance and grandeur typically associated with Hilton’s four-star establishments. Instead of walking into a grand lobby, guests are greeted by a neon sign and artificial greenery, with staff seated behind computer screens at a large desk—not the most inviting first impression. While the hotel staff was friendly and helpful, providing recommendations for local restaurants and attractions, as well as offering to make reservations for dining or golf cart tours, the overall experience fell far short of a four-star Hilton property in Rome.||Despite being a Hilton Diamond member, recognition was minimal, limited to bottled water and breakfast. No room upgrade was offered, nor did we receive any exclusive perks. T||The absence of an onsite restaurant was disappointing, and the breakfast was underwhelming, especially considering the premium rates. Having stayed at multiple Hilton properties during our two-week vacation, we expected a much higher standard. In comparison, the Grand Hotel Villa Toretta in Milan far exceeded expectations, whereas the Cosmopolita felt more like a Hampton Inn masquerading as a four-star Hilton, at a Hilton price.||Additionally, there was not even a minibar or convenient food options, aside from a half-empty vending machine. When I attempted to bring a yogurt to our room for my husband before an early tour, I was refused a spoon—no silverware was provided, and disposable utensils weren’t an option either. This was a first for me in all my years of traveling, especially at a Hilton.||We inquired about the golf cart tour the staff had told us to consider to get pricing and availability. We were told the hotel would call us while we were out, but we never received a call, and by the time we returned, the person was gone. There was no message or attempt to follow up.||Finally, accessibility is a concern. If you cannot climb stairs, this hotel is not a viable option, unless you limit yourself to the first floor and forgo breakfast.||Overall, the hotel and its breakfast area are in need of a facelift. While the staff was friendly, the property itself simply did not deliver on its four-star Hilton promise.

Went to the hotel as a family and booked two rooms and taxi transfers to and from the airport, through the hotel. Taxi transfers worked perfectly and hotel was easy to communicate with, in English. Taxi fares to and from the airport are fixed and reasonable value for money. Random taxis about town are a rip off and I anticipated this which is why I booked this hotel - it is within reasonable walking distance of all the major attractions and even just a 45 min walk to the Vatican. 15 mins from the Colosseum, 15 mins from the Pantheon and Trevi Fountain, 20 mins from Spanish Steps. If you are looking to hit all the tourist spots without paying for transportation then this is a perfect option.||The hotel has excellent staff and the rooms are clean and well appointed with plenty of pillows. The air conditioning is excellent and the showers and bathroom are relatively new and there is good hot water. There are power outlets with USBA and USBC connectors next to the ned and a table in the room so no need necessarily for plug adapters. The hotel printed out attraction tickets for me without fuss and were happy to help at all times. ||There is a breakfast room and the breakfast is good quality with helpful staff on the fifth floor roof terrace which is enclosed. They offer to make you tea and coffee and the buffet is standard Italian options but good quality. The cooked breakfast is a reasonable attempt but not really up to much. I stuck to the continental options and juices.||The main downside to this hotel is that there is no room service or on-site restaurant for lunch/dinner. There was a vending machine but it was poorly stocked and had, for instance, no coke zero and was only filled up on our last day. There is a fridge in your room to keep drinks (and as a Diamond member, I got 2 bottles of water per day), which is good, but if you want food then you need to go out and get it, which I find very inconvenient. The hotel did what I selected it for - got me close to the tourist sites for 3 days, but after my trip I think I would rather go somewhere that has a restaurant and room service and travel a bit further that stay again at this hotel but that is my personal preference based on wanting some time in my room without needing to go out for food rather than because the hotel was, in any way, poor quality.||Overall, nice hotel in the centre of Rome but to get close to the attractions, you sacrifice the ability for room service and a restaurant. It is your own personal choice which one you value most.

Google
The room was updated and Americanized, I wasn’t specifically looking for this but did want air conditioning during our visit to see our kiddo during study abroad. We stayed nine days and toured around. The room was large enough for our kid to take a break from the sorority clones she got stuck boarding with. Excellent front desk and breakfast staff, great service and so helpful. Beautiful view at rooftop breakfast cafe. Exceptionally comfortable, clean room and great amenities. Very quiet even though we were adjacent to an excavation site - fascinating. The location can’t be beat - it’s literally between ruins and Le Domus Romane di Palazzo Valentini - just astounding! No complaints!

Yelp
I've just arrived at COSMOPOLITA HOTEL ROME, TAPESTRY COLLECTION BY HILTON, centrally located at Via Di Santa Eufemia 5, 00187 Rome, Italy and I couldn't be more thrilled to spend my last few days of this incredible European trip in Rome! The Monti neighborhood, where the hotel is located, is perfect for soaking in the true essence of Rome--so many iconic sites are just a short walk away, and there's no shortage of fantastic restaurants right around the corner. It's an ideal spot to end my adventure before heading off to Madrid. The moment we stepped into the hotel, we were welcomed with warm smiles from both front desk clerks, instantly making us feel at home. Kimberly took excellent care of us. Even though we arrived early, she stored our luggage and directed us to a lovely local restaurant for a classic Roman meal while they got our room ready. When we returned a couple of hours later, our room was all set, and we were ready to dive into exploring the city! Kimberly went above and beyond, offering us maps, directions, and helpful advice on tours, which really set the tone for an amazing stay. Our room includes breakfast, and while it's small (as is common in Rome), it's beautifully decorated, spotless, and has everything we need. The only issue is the lack of drawers, so I've had to live out of my suitcase a bit more than I'd like. The room is on the pricier side, but I guess that's to be expected for such a central location. The one thing that held me back from giving 5 stars is that I could overhear conversations from the neighboring room while in the bathroom, and the finish on the bathroom walls seemed a little rushed. That said, I'm still very happy with my choice. This hotel's charm, location, and the genuine hospitality from Kimberly and the team have made it a great start to my Roman adventure. If you're planning a trip to Rome, I'd recommend booking directly through Hilton's site for the best rates and to earn Hilton Honors points.

Yelp
Our family of 4 just left Rome and we spent a few nights here. The rooms are lovely and clean w AC, not huge, but who comes to Rome to stay in a hotel room? The breakfast on the fifth floor garden is lovely with very nice employees, and a great way to start the day. The location is wonderful, we walked everywhere from this location. All of the welcome desk personnel are fantastic, and the managers we dealt with were fabulous as well. Need to do a special call out to Massimiliano Pezone, Operations Manager and his staff. The evening front desk dept. Kim and Lorenzo really helped us in a bind even after we checked out and needed some support. Cassetti, Federica, and Fatima were also so helpful during our stay! I feel badly if we missed more names to mention. Best staff ever!!! Can't wait to come back again!

Yelp
This hotel was reasonable walking distance to most of the tourist attractions in Rome. Anything further, you can easily get a lime bike, scooter, or an Uber. We walked to The Colluseum, Trevi fountain, and Pantheon without trouble. The hotel was helpful in setting up dinner reservations for us at the nearby restaurants, and everyone we interacted with at check-in and check out were very hospitable.  Breakfast was adequate, and I used the gym a couple of times, which was clean and with working equipment. The room was a standard European size with clean linens and a tiny bathroom. The hotel itself is obviously older and a bit dated, but overall, it was a nice affordable stay.

Yelp
Amazing location if you dont want to use taxis! This is walkable and has such great views. The staff was so friendly. The room was on the small side but very modern and very clean. Loved it. Breakfast has amazing coffee but not the greatest food. Food was mid

Yelp
Reasonable hotel to book into on your visit to Rome. Fatima at the front desk is very helpful with any dinner reservations you need to make. Also with assistance on anything in town. Mr Clemen is the man to speak to regarding anything in the hotel or for your room. Central location to most sites in the area. Enjoy your travels.

Yelp
Three nights here in January 2023 and you absolutely can not beat this hotel for the location. It is two blocks from the Trajan Column and the Victor Emmanuel II National Monument. A short walk to the Colosseum and Palatine and all the ancient Rome you can stand. As a top tier in the Hilton Honors program, I was upgraded to room with view. I had a city view and while I could hear the occasional ambulance, it was great to look out at something other than a courtyard. The room was quite nice, but I experienced a few problems during my stay. I would probably choose another hotel next time. There is a hot water kettle and some packets of instant coffee but no coffee cups. Who pours boiling hot water into a short glass? At 5:00 am of my last morning in the hotel, I was awoken by a banging sound and something that could have been furniture moving. I doubt it was the hotel and may have been the neighboring building. At 6:00, there were a couple doors slamming. I did not get back to sleep. The bed was comfortable and certainly had plenty of pillows. In January, I would have liked some heat. I cranked the thermostat up and set the fan to maximum but there was no change. I checked the fuses and they were fine. I just tolerated it. The first night, I had the "do not disturb" on the door and yet the housekeeping staff still knocked on the door. They returned later and reset the room well but I did not like that my stuff was moved around. I usually put my things away if I'm going to have housekeeping. The second and third nights, they did not disturb the room. Comfortable shower with plenty of hot water but no shelf or other area to set my razor and such. I'm not sure why they don't have anything like that. I like that it's a "full" shower, not the usual "half door" that I usually see in Europe. Breakfast was included in my room rate. It's a nice set up on the top floor that requires climbing a flight of stairs. Eggs, sausages, bacon, beans, lots of pastries, bread and a toaster, coffee machine, fresh orange juice, cereal and more. The attendant was quite pleasant and it was very nice. I don't know how much breakfast costs when it's not included. [Review 19104 overall - 279 in Italy - 74 of 2023.]

Yelp
Great location in the heart of Rome. Colosseum is a 15 minute walk, Trevi Fountain 10 minute walk. Surrounded by good restaurants. Clean rooms, although small, are enough for a good sleep and breakfast buffet is typical for Hilton properties. Buffet was not included in our reservation. For buffet 25 euros. A little expensive. There's a great cafe just out the door with breakfast for 10 euro. Front desk staff is very friendly and helpful in making reservations, car service, recommendations on local flavor. I would definitely stay here again in the future. FYI, car service from FCO was about 80 euro. To cruise port 180 euro (approx. 1.5 hours away).

Yelp
Hotel Cosmopolita is a newly Hilton acquired and currently still being renovated Tapestry collection hotel. Originally my traveling friends wanted to pick a Garden Inn that was much cheaper but about 30 minutes transit north from this location. We opted to stay here instead for the convenience of WALKING to everything Trevi Fountains (7 minutes) Pantheon (10 minutes) Colosseum (13 minutes) Spanish Steps (15 minutes) Vatican City (37 minutes) this didn't feel that long. Lots to see along the way We had arrived around 0300 in the afternoon on a Tuesday, mid 11/2022. The hotel entrance is kind of "tucked" away in a smaller street/alley off from the main street. There are 1-2 receptionists there at almost all times ready to help you with SMILING faces Check in process was simple overall, with some hiccups. Originally, had booked a queen bed room and a double twin bed room. Per some other reviews here or maybe TripAdvisor, it had said rooms on 3rd and 5th floor were all renovated so we opted to change our room to the 3rd floor with a queen bed for a newer room. The room was nice and renovated but a bit small. Downside about renovated old hotels is room's VARY in size. Our two queen bed rooms were on the same floor but one was much larger than the other, so we opted to change back to the twin bed room which was on the 1st floor but was MUCH larger (both in room and bathroom size, even had like a "mudroom'') The queen bed room was nicer IMO, room and bathroom (with rain type shower head and sliding door). The twin bed room was indeed MUCH larger but the bathroom was weirdly designed causing a very small walk in shower with NO place to put anything. So i guess its a toss in what you want more. The hotel is located next to a main road, so no matter which side of the hotel you're on, you'll hear traffic noise, and if you are lower (like on the 1st floor), you'll hear all the talking from people passing by when the windows are open (more on this below) Like I had said earlier, I had came mid Nov 2022. It being an older but newly renovated hotel, means some things were still old, like their HVAC system. There is no way to turn on the system for AIR only or AC. Receptionist said it was a central system and is currently on HEAT, so had to bear with opening the windows as much as we can. It was unbearable hot with just a crack open on the windows so... yeah Overall, stay was decent. VERY convenient location. Literally walked to almost everything except the Roma termini (walkable but was early/late) and a dinner reservation that was quite far away.

Yelp
The staff was so friendly and helpful, they greeted us warmly whenever we came through the lobby and gave us great advice. We had to leave for the airport at 3:15 am and the night desk guy arranged a cab for us which was a big relief because getting an Uber or cab during the day had proven difficult. When we first arrived I didn't know how to turn on the shower and they sent someone right up to show me. The bed was very comfortable. The room was small but served our needs and the best thing about the hotel is the location, it's walkable to almost all attractions. The view from the breakfast area is magnificent and the breakfast is nice.

Yelp
This is a 5 star review for a 4 star hotel. This hotel's location was what persuaded us to book, and it turned out to be very convenient. There is a nice bakery right downstairs, and it is 2 minutes from a taxi stand. The front desk staff was so friendly and nice! Thank you hilton. Lastly, the breakfast pastry was really good, as was the fresh juice, and the great dining area. Watch out for the loose tiles on the floor, they should fix that! I nearly tripped.

Yelp
Ignore older pictures, purchased by Hilton and reopened June 1,2022 after renovations. Of course no body does it like Hilton! They managed to keep the charm of a historical building while updating the inside! Rooms are smaller but very efficiently arranged! Beds very comfortable and nice decor. The staff was amazing and so friendly! Breakfast for Hilton honors members was great! Location perfect for walking to many sights! Would highly recommend this hotel! Only regret was that rooftop was not open in evening to relax and enjoy view!

Yelp
Giving this hotel 3 stars for the staff and proximity to the city centre. Other than that, the rooms feel very small, especially the bathrooms. If you're using credit card points, take your business elesewhere. They seems to dislike points users, regardless of their Hilton status.

SHERRI K.

Yelp
This hotel is in an optimal location for what a tourist would like. We are currently in this hotel for one night. It smells as if a dead corpse is in room 114. My father was a funeral director and would return home after getting a corpse that expired days before found smelling like this gorgeous unfortunate room. We are enroute to Capri in hopes we do not smell like this room Do better Hilton... do better per favore.

Tricia J.

Yelp
Not sure how to explain this however I shared with the housekeeper today to NOT do anything in my room accept leave 2 bottles of wated and empty the trash. She said she understood and okay. I come back after a long day and WHOA! she only left 1 bottle of water, made the bed and in doing so moved my luggage to a shelf behind a curtain???? So of course it could not be located. (There are no closets in the room so it was VERY easy to see the luggage was gone.) They had to call her at home to find out where she put my luggage. WHY would you put it behind curtains??????? and make the bed and not leave water as requested. The easiest things make for a great experience. Hilton I know you are better than this!

New Y.

Yelp
Staff were nice and friendly but not helpful with the situation. They say that the air conditioning is centralized but it's not kept at optimal temperature at all. It was so hot that you cannot utilize the room for what you booked for which is to rest and rejuvenate. It felt like a sauna. Sure they provided the fans which is equally useless. If you try to keep the fan at lower temp available it rises back to higher temp. Overall felt beaten up both adults and the kids with the room condition that made us sick without the needed rest while traveling. Don't call it a Hilton group of hotel OR just fix the issues for a comfortable stay for what's it is worth. This is not what you pay for (478$ per night), just felt like we were looted. And it's a whole different story with the bathroom with stinky smell and the shower place not draining as it should. I will definitely be aware of these and not stay here again just for this to be in the prime location.

Yelp
When I come back to Rome, there is only one hotel I would consider booking and that is, hands down, Hotel Cosmopolita. First of all, the hotel is located in almost the exact city center. This is obviously fantastic because you never have to walk far to get to any of the famous sights. During our two week stay we never once needed to use the metro because everything was in walking distance to our hotel. Then there is the wonderful rooftop terrace breakfast. Oh my gosh what a view!! The breakfast selection is really nice too. They offer a spread of pastries, fruit, yogurt, scrambled eggs, hard boiled eggs, toast, ect. Plus orange juice, pineapple juice and they have a coffee machine that allows you to make several types of hot drinks like cappuccinos, tea, ect. All this for €7 per person. We ate here almost everyday. With that view, that selection and at that price, why eat anywhere else? The room itself was great. It was clean, a decent size and most importantly, the AC was awesome. I love to sleep in an ice cold room at night and this room got freezing cold! I would shiver in there, it was awesome!! (I turned down the AC all the way, you can turn the air up if you want) Last but not least, the staff was absolutely wonderful!! Especially Kimberly at the front desk. She was sooooo sweet and so helpful! I can't rave enough about this hotel. I loved it. It was exactly what we where hoping for and better than expected! Perfect price, perfect location, all around five stars!!

Yelp
We check out tomorrow. We have been here week and half. We have loved the location. You can always find the hotel because you can usually see the "wedding cake" monument of Victor Emanuele II Clean hotel. Yes it could use updates but we come to Italy for the history. The rooms, doors, showers, space to hang clothes, elevator are all small. So what,, you are in Italy! The air conditioning doesn't get very cold, the hair dryer is horrible. The staff are very friendly and they speak pretty good English. Breakfast is so so. The areas is quiet at night, we never heard street sound. We would stay here again.

Yelp
When we arrived at this hotel that was rated a 4 star hotel I was disgusted! The shower was completley full of black mold, the floors were disgustingly dirty, they do not supply blankets only a thin sheet, the wallpaper was peeling off in all over the room, the AC made a ungodly loud knocking noise to the point you couldnt sleep, the beds were extremely small and extremely uncomfortable and the pillows were paper thin! Expedia should not rate this hotel as a 4 star I have traveled the world and stayed in hostels nicer than this hotel. The pictures are extremely deceiving on Exoedias website and expedia claims it is an English speaking hotel and i only came across one staff member that could understand what i was saying! When we left early because of the hotel conditions i was told they could not refund me because it was booked through Expedia so when I got home i took it up with expedia who contacted the hotel for a refund and they refused! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU DO NOT STAY HERE IT IS A HORRIBLE, DISGUSTING CESSPOOL!

Yelp
This hotel is small, dated, and not very clean. However, breakfast was good. Also free Wifi is available. Also the door to our room was broken, therefore you could push it open when locked. This hotel needs a major update, otherwise I don't think I'm coming back.

Yelp
Location is the best part! Right in the middle and a short walk to everything. Very nice staff that worked with us but this hotel doesn't have much, like room service or a bathroom that I fit in to. But if you are in Rome, are you really looking to set inside the room, except to escape the cigarette filled air that drives us non-smokers crazy. Laundry service was reasonable, in that it has been a standard across the board in my month here in Europe. The bed was firm and this pillows not to my standard. But that most of Europe that I have encountered. I would say that they might have used a little extra starch in the sheets, because my skin feels especially exfoliated. I walked from this hotel to every point even to the Vatican seeing the Pantheon, and every structure possible. As I said above, this location was perfect for my love for exploring.

Yelp
This is a 3 star hotel in American standards, 4 stars for EU ones. But if you embrace that, everything else makes up for it. Great location (really the only reason why we booked it), nice view, tiny beds and wonderful receptionists. One receptionist had terrible English, but the rest paired with her and made up for it. We opted for breakfast to be included so we took advantage of the buffet. The first day we mistakenly tried to walk away with glasses of water and the waitress scolded us. We thought housekeeping could take our glasses from the room but I guess not, oops! But I'll never forget when we were dealing with a cancelled flight at 6:30am a men at reception called in complimentary coffee for us from next door. I loved this place and would certainly come back!

Yelp
We actually stayed here a few times throughout our Italy travels and I can say that I really liked this hotel. The location is unbeatable and the price is reasonable. The breakfast buffet is a really great deal! While there is plenty of seating for breakfast, I would suggest getting there early. The only thing that was kind of blah was the cappuccino/espresso machine- taste like it needed to be cleaned. The food was pretty delicious though. Our first room was quite large and had a very big window with shutters that opened up over a busy street. It was SO VERY ITALIAN, opening the window and listening to the bustling below. Such great views from both rooms. One thing that I really feel needs to be mentioned about this hotel are the showers. If you're a larger person, you can forget about fitting in these showers. I am 5'8" about 135lbs and I found it very tight and a bit uncomfortable to wash my hair and body without knocking something over. It didn't matter to me though as I wasn't in Rome for the showers. Haha. I figure though, it might be uncomfortable for someone larger than me. In the shower there's a bottle of 3-in-1 Dove brand shampoo/conditioner/soap available for use along with a blow dryer. The service at the hotel was AMAZING, they really work to accommodate you and help you upon your request. Each time we stayed here we had great experiences and we will definitely stay again if for anything, the convenient location.

Yelp
I booked this hotel through Priceline. I requested 4 stars hotel and Priceline booked this hotel. This is barely 2 stars hotel. Unfortunately my booking was non refundable. The price paid was even more than their website. This is scam. 2 stars is for the young lady at the front who always has smile on and very helpful. The hotel does not have room service. Lots of stairs and old. I will never again use Priceline. This is not 4 stars hotel.

Yelp
It's clean which is ALWAYS a plus but very very tiny and the walls are so thin that you hear EVERYTHING out doors. Even if someone is just walking and not talking....you hear the steps! Good thing we didn't plan on being in the room all day. Nice stay, but I'll most likely choose another hotel on my next visit.

Yelp
Great location and staff! We walked to all locations in the city! Id say it is a 3 star hotell and not a 4 but the location makes up for it! I would recommend the hotell if you will be out most of your stay and only want a central location with a comfortable bed.

Yelp
Great location but the room was very small and the bathroom even smaller. There was a stench that came from the bathroom that was really unbearable and the room had no soundproofing so you could constantly hear people walking by. No breakfast included and no good views from the room we couldn't even open the windows because all that was there was another building. I give one star for the friendliness of the staff and another for the location of the hotel by I wouldn't stay here ever again.

Yelp
Stayed the first 3 nights of our italian vacation at the hotel Cosmopolita. All in all it was very good for the value. Clean room attentive staff, nice restaurant downstairs, excellent location. We did have an issue where the front desk didn't accept a package I had delivered, which was a birthday gift for my wife. I informed them to expect it on our first day. When UPS tried to deliver it the next day, the desk refused it. The excuse given by the desk was that the name on the package didn't match any hotel guests. When we eventually got the package after it was forwarded to our next destination, I saw that the name was spelled perfectly. So they screwed up on that.

Yelp
Stayed for a week about a week ago. Room was small but clean. The two receptionists were so sweet! Loved that we could walk everywhere!

Yelp
Probably a high 3 stars hotel, but clean with very friendly personnel. Great location, walking distance to the heart of Rome. One thing I would suggest to the management is a bit better breakfast - which btw, is not included in the price of the room. I'm in Rome, please do not make me drink an horrible espresso/cappuccino made by one of these commercial low level coffee dispenser!

Yelp
Great location. Most of Rome is walkable from here as you are in the center of it all. Room was comfortable but a little tight. The TV had a loose/broken cable connection that interfered with reception. It was more of an irritation than anything else, we'd much rather see Rome than watch TV anyway, although it was good to catch up with Amanpour on CNN whenever we could (no one else there does real journalism.) Breakfast on the rooftop adds another 7 euro to the bill per day and it is a good deal. It's standard breakfast but fresh. Only complaint is the small coffee machine everybody waits in line for that makes tiny cups of coffee. These machines are pretty popular around Europe but if you are a Starbucks "grande" type of drinker you'll be a bit frustrated, if you're a "vente" than you'll easily go into detox while you are waiting for your fix. The desk staff was very helpful and happy to arrange ticket purchases and make valuable suggestions. WiFi was good but a little slow (as we found everywhere else in EU)

Yelp
Got an exceptional deal here during off season!! Location is absolutely unbeatable, the room was nice, and the service was good. All stars are definitely for location, location, and location, as we were able to walk through the entire city without ever needing a cab anywhere. Definitely will stay here again if/when we go back.

Yelp
The location was great. We were about a 20-minute walk from all the sights. That's about the only positive thing about our stay. When we arrived, we were given a room key and sent on our way. This was our first time in Italy, so we did not know that the key also gave the room electricity (it took us at least 10 minutes to figure that out on our own). We could have used an explanation. The room size was fine - bigger than other ones in Europe. The room was definitely inhabited by a smoker before us, as that smell stayed in the room the entire stay. It was musty, and there was definite water damage in the wall between the bathroom and the bed. The free wifi was nice, but it was barely usable (the signal was weak). There are other hotels very close to this one and therefore close to the sights. I would suggest you look elsewhere.
