When we arrived Peggy the owner was there to greet us . She gave us names of places where we could eat as you come out of the gates there is a coffee shop ice-cream and gym lovely pastries too . Peggy Is a lovel lady and very helpfull. We enjoyed our stay there i would recommend this place and definitely stay here again

Owners of this place are fantastic! Mrs Peggy met us on arrival and was sweet as can be, super helpful with giving us a quick rundown on a local pharmacy, places to eat, and arranged transport for us. There’s a small courtyard area to relax in and a pool. For the price, the location can’t be beat and is a short walk to the beach and all restaurants & bars in south Hopkins. To anyone complaining about the rooms or pool… really?? People are obviously staying here on a budget and in our opinion the friendliness of the owners and proximity to everything in town this place exceeds its price point.. there’s a place 300 ft away that has a nice pool that I swam in for 700 a night

Peggy is a fantastic host. She is professional and very knowledgeable of the area. She gave great advice on places to eat, visit and reputable vendors. Our room was perfect for us and kept clean regularly. We also appreciated how close it was to the beach and great restaurants around. We would recommend a rental bike/ golf cart to go into town. But honestly we enjoyed the walk and if we got tired we just waved a golf cart down for a ride. Everyone is super nice and it’s a very safe place.

This place is quite nice and the proprietor is very friendly and welcoming. It's on the south end by the big resorts but a nice walk via the beach into town. They can also call a taxi for you if that is preferred. The room was clean, well appointed, and the coffee was good. I enjoyed the artwork in the room as well. A good choice on the south side. Unrelated note, in my opinion the sand gets finer the farther north you get if the sand in the south is too coarse.

We had a preconceived idea about the smaller Hopkins Village hotels despite the photos. We had friends who live in Silk Grass personally check the place out. The ONLY place to stay in Hopkins Village. Clean as an operating room. Fantastic, noiseless air conditioning with very comfortable beds. Good refrigerator and coffee maker with a small set of dishes. Remember that when you buy a candy bar in Belize, it's liquid in the wrapper until you freeze it. You can buy ice cream from the freezer in the store and it's soup by the time you get back to the hotel. Quiet as a mouse at night. Harold, the owner got us a dune buggy for 45 USD a day. Dirt cheap for such a vehicle. Both he and Emily are good people and will give you EXCELLENT advice about what to do and where to go. Excellent choice of places to eat in easy walking distance. Free parking if you have a rental car. There are only seven private rooms/cabanas so you might have to reserve months in advance if you're going during the height of tourist season (We did not) but WELL worth it. Skip the more expensive hotels. It's money in the garbage pail. Thanks Harold and Emily. You took wonderful care of my wife and I. We loved your Dubai stories!!!

Had the most amazing peaceful week at this beautiful hotel. Peggy and Harold treated us as though we were family. The cabana we stayed in was very comfortable, clean and just perfect for our week long stay! I highly recommend this hotel! This was our first time visiting Belize and Peggy and Harold made our vacation absolutely the best! Please reserve your room at this hotel when you are planning your vacation to Belize you will not be disappointed!

The property is in a good location and very well maintained except for the pool which needed upgrading/renovating. The owners were very helpful and friendly. This is an excellent place to stay if you are not looking for luxury, I would certainly go back.

The room was clean and comfortable. Very nice outdoor seating area. The highlight of our stay was how helpful the staff was. We arrived late and had just about given up on doing the night tour in jaguar preserve but the owner made a phone call, got us an amazing private tour with Angel, and helped us find some good food. Highly recommend!
