The staff were very accommodating with any and everything, including arranging airport transportation if you need it. The hotel is in a quiet location and it's very easy to walk to the September 24 Plaza and to restaurants. The hotel offers an awesome free breakfast with several options to choose from. The wifi was good and the air conditioning in the rooms worked well. There is a hair dryer and a mini fridge in the room, and they provide 2 bottles of water per day for free. The bed was very firm, but that's the only negative. There is a bakery/restaurant attached to the hotel (Doble Chocolate) and their dining room is inside the hotel. There isn't a traditional front desk, you check in at the bar immediately inside the hotel entrance.

The bar check in is confusing but still perfect and friendly. The breakfast was very wonderful. The staff very friendly. We stayed two different nights and had both room facing road. It was fine. This place is packed and offers some great pastries from doble chocolate. Great location near square.

A highlight of surprising Santa Cruz was our accommodation ... the Cosmopolitan Boutique Hotel, where the word boutique is deserved. Our three course designer breakfast was beautiful, the room was chic, the lobby is also the popular cafe, Doble Chocolate, the staff are a joy, especially Franklin on his first day. The murals are gorgeous and special, as is the entire property, which spans a city street.

When you enter in the hotel you don’t find the reception, because it doesn’t exist. You are in a bar and the check in happens with the bar cashier.||There is no elevator, so you climb with your luggage on the open air staircase. As it’s raining you reach your room already wet. Convenient, as you can skip the shower now.||The room has no windows and receives light from a hole in the wall beside the door. Which must be kept screened all the time as every body passes by on the other side of the glass. ||The screen saves you from the people but not from the noise coming from the very frequented bar downstairs, that helps you improve your culture by keeping you awake and reading.||You are helped waking up if you forget to set up the alarm by the conversations of others guests as they are having their early morning, 6 am, breakfast four meters under you in the open air space beside the staircase.||The worst accommodation I experienced in the last thirty years of touristic traveling.

Terrible and zero empathetic reception staff. And more, do you want to get into a crowded teenagers bar to do your check in? As we did book the room to stay only till 10 pm ( not overnight) due to our flight schedule, we asked to get a bit sooner into the room. It was 11,30 and they made us to stay or pay an extra 50%. At two o’clock we had to claim for the room. However the worst were the manners of the reception staff. Good luck with your booking….

A small hotel with nice rooms and excellent service. Very good breakfast. Within walking distance to the main square, but not a very nice walk due to lot of traffic and a bit dark and scary at night time

Great little hotel in the city center, rooms are very comfortable, AC works great, it is nice and quiet, and you can walk to all the attractions within the city center.||Beds are very comfortable and very good water pressure, all the things important to me. ||Breakfast is included in the room rate, and it was wonderful. Selection of eggs, bacon, cheese, fresh fruit, orange juice, and coffee. All made fresh order.||Mostly English speaking guests when I was here, and most of the staff speak english, which is helpful if your Spanish is poor like mine.

Pros:|Close to the main square|Very stylish and modern rooms with comfortable beds, A/C, and two shower heads!|Good breakfast with excellent coffee|High speed WiFi|Helpful and attentive staff, they were able to accommodate a last minute late check out request. ||Cons:|The check in process was not smooth as the hotel hosts a restaurant in its lobby and there is no check in desk. It is unclear when you step in where are you supposed to be. A dedicated hotel guest space would be recommended as there is also no room to wait with bags in middle of the restaurant||The pool is nice but the location is not great. It is located at the lobby level where the restaurant patrons are seated.
