The location is excellent for local transportation and also getting to other parts of Taiwan. They serve a welcome drink which you can redeem at a cafe for up to around NT$250. Children get a nice bath bomb. The breakfast has a good spread but the food was reasonable. There was a well equipped gym at the top level with a nice view of the city. Overall, the stay was pleasant although one must not expect too much from a rather dated hotel.

Overall this 4 nights' stay is quite pleasant. The choice of room coffee and tea is nice. It showed that the management team's care for its customers. The room for a family of three is just ample and though this hotel exits quite some years, the maintainence is good. The shampoo soap and lotion is a choice of good taste of the hotel too. The hotel site is also very convenience no matter to mrt or nearby amenities. My first time stay at this hotel was 24 years ago but after all these years it still is my good choice. Great job!

Stayed for a week at cosmos hotel Taipei, it is really an excellent despite it being a little old. The design are kinda vintage but maintain in good condition.|Cleanliness is good, housekeeping did a good job. There is a bathtub and a glass door is installed to prevent water from splashing out, this is really very brilliant. Most hotel don't bother with this.|Location is very good and central so travel around is so convenient and next to the station exit.|

Love the location, just divided by street with Taipei Main Station. Family Mart and 7-11 just next to the hotel. The breakfast option was really complete. The room feels vintage in the best way. There is bathtub too. Will definitely stay here again

The hotel was very convenient with the MRT station right under it so we didn’t have to walk very far and the family mart was open 24/7 so we could grab a midnight snack if necessary. One thing we didn’t like was the laundry since we stayed a week was that the service they offered was overpriced and we had to do it ourselves in the sink and air dry it. The staff was very nice and there were a lot of amenities like free water, coffee, etc but the bathroom we had only had shampoo and conditioner no body wash they also didn’t have toothpaste or a toothbrush so we had to use the one we brought and request toothbrushes. The window we had was a view of a wall and had no view of the city.

Cosmos Hotel Taipei is situated just steps from Taipei Main Station (MRT exit M3). The hotel is also accessible to nearby shops, convenience stores and local eateries. It is walking distance to Fuhang Soy Milk where we had our breakfast. While the rooms are slightly dated, they are clean, comfortable and come with complimentary drinks in fridge and bath bomb for bath. There is a "Hello AI" device box which respond to our requests though not getting them right most of the time. Hotel issued vouchers redeemable at cafe for a wide variety of speciality coffee/drinks.

Picked this hotel after reading reviews and liked that it was close to main station. Wonderful experience! Breakfast buffet was amazing. Room was quiet. Bed so comfortable. I was impressed with little touches in the room (eg complimentary water, digital control for lights). Only stayed one night but for sure would recommend and stay again!

My recent experience at this so-called 5-star hotel was disappointing and fell far short of expectations. Room Cleanliness and Hygiene - I found a small to medium-sized cockroach inside my room, which was extremely unsettling. To make matters worse, my sister’s family also encountered a cockroach in their room. This points to a serious lapse in cleanliness and pest control. - The carpet in my room had a strong, mouldy smell that made the environment uncomfortable and raised concerns about hygiene. - The cupboards looked old and dirty, further diminishing the feeling of staying in a premium property. Facilities and Amenities - There is no swimming pool, which is a basic amenity expected in a 5-star hotel - The breakfast spread was repetitive, with only minor changes each day, making it monotonous for guests staying multiple nights. Despite the hotel’s convenient location near the MRT, these issues overshadowed any positives. The lack of cleanliness, outdated furnishings, and limited amenities make it impossible for me to recommend this hotel. I will never return, and in my opinion, this property does not deserve its 5-star rating.

Yelp
We stayed at the Cosmos for 5 days while in Taipei. It is walking distance to the main station and to several restaurants/shops. The front desk has a money exchange available which was incredibly convenient. The local banks have better exchange rates, just remember to bring your passport if you go to a local bank. Hotel experience was nice and hotel staff really did their best to help us with the language barrier. The room was a decent size for two. Comfortable bed, view overlooking the main road. We had a mini fridge, and a 7/11 next door which was very convenient for drinks and food. I will say the shower tub is very high, careful climbing in and out. If you are tall, then watch your head. I am 5'2 and I could touch the ceiling of the shower. They provided all the toiletries we needed for our stay. Trash cans are very small here and hard to find outside. The bed was very comfortable except for the middle section. They pushed two beds together so there is a really hard spot right in the center. There is a safe, we kept all electronics and money there. We only had house keeping come in once. With no issues they provided us with new sheets and towels. We did try to eat the breakfast buffet at the Jade restaurant upstairs, be advised its not free. You have to purchase the package at booking or pay the front desk which is what we did. It was embarrassing because we did not know and due to the language barrier they turned us away. But the front desk manager was super helpful. The buffet is a mix of Asian dishes like congee, stir fry noodles, miso soup and some American dishes like eggs, hash browns and cereal. It might not be for everyone. Overall it was an enjoyable stay, and the location is prime since we relied solely on the transit system. Which is awesome, you can get anywhere by rail.

Yelp
My husband and I stayed at the Cosmos Hotel for the entirety of our very first trip to Taiwan, and we very much enjoyed our stay. This hotel is very conveniently located near the subway station, making it very easy to get around town or to many major tourist attractions. As our trip was only four full days/four nights, we were really able to maximize our and make the most of our short time in Taiwan. The entryway of the hotel was very elegant, and the staff were very professional. We were given coupons for the dessert shop near/attached to the lobby. The room was clean and neat every day throughout our stay. My husband and I received a room that was meant for 3 people, so the room was spacious. The room itself could use some updating/modernizing, but the main thing is that everything was working and clean. Breakfast was included with our stay and the breakfast consisted of different foods to cater all kinds of dietary needs. They had a salad bar with fresh greens or cooked greens, a station for porridge with toppings, a grill area for noodles and scallion pancakes, a dim sum area with a small variety of steamed goods, and a drink area. The drink area had various juices, milks, soymilk, and a probiotic drink. The food choices did not change from day to day. Overall, our stay with Cosmos Hotel was a very positive one. My husband and I agree that we would definitely stay here again the next time we visit Taiwan, and we recommend staying here if it's your first time visiting Taiwan and/or if you have a short trip and want to be efficient with your time!

Yelp
Chinese styled accommodations but many amenities in the room. We were on the top floor and for a last minute reservation through Priceline. They can use these cute brick figurines as a VIP check in. Room was comfy. They didn't have two beds available. But we got a large room. The service was very good. And it was convenient to be next row Taipei Main Station and Tim Ho Wan dim sum.

Yelp
Excellent 5 Star hotel in downtown Taipei. My room was a very spacious suite, with a lovely living room and separate bedroom area. The hotel is in a very busy downtown area with lots of parks, museums, shopping, all within walking distance. The room offered modern facilities and plenty of outlets for plugging in devices. The hotel also offers a morning breakfast with a variety of Chinese and western items. The air conditioning in the room was a bit disappointing in that it didn't work as well as some of the other places we stayed at in a Taipei. But they got us a table fan, and with that the room was cool enough for a good night's rest.

Yelp
Awesome place for our stay in Taipei! The room was clean and comfortable, and you really can't beat the location. Getting around the city and nearby villages was so easy, as the hotel is located right outside of the M3 exit of Taipei Main Station, which has the MRT as well as railway lines. The hotel came with great amenities and very friendly and welcoming staff. At check in, we were given coupons for drinks at the business lounge and a mango shaved ice dessert at the dessert shop on the first floor. The room itself wasn't incredibly spacious, but fit us well and suited all of our needs. Everything was clean except for one of our hand towels, where we found a single strand of hair after unfolding--but all of the other towels were fine. The only drawback was the floor we were on had a bit musty smell, but the room smelled fine, especially because we were able to control the level of air flow there. The room decor doesn't feel the most modern, but again, everything was clean and we didn't have a problem with our room. Overall, it's a great, affordable hotel in the heart of Taipei, making it super convenient for tourists to stay while traveling around the city. Would stay here again!

Yelp
Came here for a meal only (did not stay at the hotel). Met lots of family here for a reunion meal and the staff did a good job of making sure the food was out in a reasonable time and taking care of the drinks. The banquet room was pretty clean and the staff was pleasant. The food was good and we had a great time. I didn't stay in the hotel room so can't comment on how the hotel itself looks.

Yelp
The rooms are extremely small. My coworker's room was described as a bed and bathroom. He mentioned there was no room to place his luggage on the floor. However, the rest of the hotel is very nice. The hotel has deals with local food places for discounts, along with a good compliment of its own restaurants. The room was clean and amenities good. And the location is excellent! It's right next to Taipei Main Station with access to MRT, high speed rail, and standard rail lines! From this hotel you can get to most places in Taipei with a little light rail (MRT) travel and walking.

Yelp
I stayed here recently with my fiancé and his family. We had the total of three rooms. Besides the fact of how convenient the hotel was to the main station, the rooms itself was pretty bad. As soon as you walked in to the room, you can smell how musty and old the rooms are. It felt like they need to change the filters in the rooms. I had to sleep with the window open to get some air circulation in the room and the a/c didn't not work very well. Oddly enough, I had to have to window open with the a/c on to cool the room down (luckily the temperature was cool outside). When I closed the window (cause the noise pollution was horrible) and have the a/c on, I would have a smell of cigarettes coming in the room. The smell was coming from the vents. So ask for a room with a window!! We had one room with a fake window. After a shower, the room became even more humid due to poor air circulation. The trash cans are small and some of the rooms where cramped. The reason I am giving it a three and not lower is because the customer service was great. The rooms where fairly clean and the employees helped us when we needed help getting to places. They allowed us to extend one of our rooms with a half a day charge since our flight didn't leave til later that night. So good location and customer service but horrible air circulation and cramped room.

Yelp
we stayed here on the taiwan portion of our asian vacae and for someone who's never been to taiwan and doesn't speak mandarin very well, you couldn't find a more convenient hotel! located above a major subway hub means getting around is ridiculously easy. just figure out which subway line you need to be on to get to whatever night market you need to get to and viola, chances are there's a subway platform just below. woot. staff was friendly and many spoke english (i think a couple spoke cantonese for hk peeps too). rooms were average size for asia, modern enough, and clean. free wifi was available in lobby but i don't recall how good it was. the included bfast buffet available to guests in the dining area was awesome. we started our day usually with some simple taiwanese fare but you could get omelets and bacon, etc...if you so desired. the hotel is also located near restaurants and places to shop but we didn't really venture near by too much. i'd definitely come and stay here again if only for the convenience to the subway station below.

Yelp
Located in a convenient location, the Cosmos Hotel is basically in the center of the city area. There are plenty of places to shop and to especially get food in the vicinity. My room was clean and decently sized. The staff is very polite and the hotel itself is clean. The restaurant in the hotel is not recommended mainly because there are places outside in the area that are much better in terms of portion and quality of the food. Great hotel to stay in nonetheless.
