John and the CRE team curated an amazing Costa Rica experience for our family. Not an easy task - we had 11 people ranging in age from 6 to 78 with different levels of ability and dietary restrictions and a desire to see multiple aspects/regions of Costa Rica in 7 days! He truly listened to our needs/wants and delivered one of the most memorable vacations of our lives. Every tour, guide, driver, van, accommodation was fantastic. Even when we encountered travel difficulties that caused us to lose out on the first day and a half of our vacation (thanks Delta Airlines for delaying, cancelling, and rescheduling our flights AND losing our luggage!!!), John was always a phone call, text, or email away to help us reschedule our transportation and excursions. Costa Rica Escapes planned THE BEST vacation for our group of 6 people (3 couples) in October 2023. We worked from the west side to the east side and every place was better than the last - it was truly the best vacation of my life! All of the staff we met for all of our activities were professional, friendly, and had a great sense of humor. The drivers who brought us from place to place were knowledgeable, thoughtful, and punctual. We just had a fantastic trip to Costa Rica because of Costa Rica Escapes! John Vargas made the entire process simple, from the pre-trip conversations to receiving a very thorough itinerary just before arrival. He heard what we wanted and he delivered. We were a family of 4, 2 adults, & 17 & 14 year old teenagers. We explored, adventured & stayed in La Fortuna and also in Guanacaste. My family of 4 (8 and 10 year old children) traveled throughout Costa Rica - San Jose, La Fortuna, Monteverde and Manuel Antonio, over a week's time. Why go any other way? John and Costa Rica Escapes created the perfect trip for our family. At first we were trying to figure it out on our own. Mistake! Costa Rica is an amazingly diverse country and without John and CRE whatever we came up with on our own would have paled in comparison to what John and his team crafted exclusively for us. We have an active teenager so John thoughtfully cranked up the activity level all while still making it an enjoyable experience for his parents. Rain forest? Check. Cloud rain forest? Check. Beach resort? Check. Animals, culture, great food, amazing lodging, spa time, bonding with the locals, activities, safe transport, and more? Check check check! It was amazing. Everything was thought out and optimized so we got the trip of a lifetime. And when we wanted to tune as we went, no problem! John and team were on it.
