Costa's Pizza & Grill

Since the new owners took over we have had back to back awful experiences. The first time the food wasn't right, there is no flavor in their food. We tried them again tonight and it took 1.5 hours to get our food delivered when they are less then 5 minutes away. We ordered two large pizzas and a cheese steak wit. They gave us shoestring fries which usually are the best but unfortunately they were freezer burnt before frying and now taste like cardboard; also there was no seasoning to them. Then the pizzas are no longer seem homemade dough and again has no flavor. I could get better flavor from the grocery store freezer section. If you are from out of town and want a cheese steak....NEVER get them from here. There was absolutely no seasonings and the cheese was lazily put on top instead of mixed in with the meat like it used to. Because of this we now need to find a new pizza joint because this jawn went down hill.

My family and I order from Costa’s almost every week. The food is Amazing. It always gets delivered fast and the food is always hot and fresh. The girls who answer the phone are always pleasant. One of the best places in Northeast Philly to get pizza the sauce is soooo good.

I had a great meal last night. Nice little seafood platter, crunch chicken (their special hand breaded chicken) was great, a hint of honey and a crunch had it pop 👌🏼 The staff are always kind and helpful when I come in. I'll be back to try the shrimp Alfredo soon! 😋

Constantly forgets drinks and to follow special instructions. I've given these guys way too many chances, and (with the money my family and I spend) I should have written this review much sooner. Ask for fries well done and they come soggy...order 2 drinks and they deliver 1...you get the idea. Trust me...pick somewhere else.

I’m an OTR Mailman & Today we delivered to the Philadelphia NDC. When I checked in, I WAS TOLD YOU MUST GET A PHILLY CHEESE STEAK sandwich from Costa’s! We called & Helen took our order. She was very nice & patient with us. Another team from Dallas,Tx ordered with us. (THANKS HELEN) THIS SANDWICH WAS DELICIOUS!!! I will definitely be back NEXT MONDAY!

1. Do not be fooled! The food here is downright terrible (old, cheap, recycled, dirty, greasy). 2. Costa's has a dismal two star rating at the other leading consumer review site (it starts with a "Y"), the lowest rating of any restaurant in the entire city! 3. Mouse waste was found in the food by the city (read some of the other one star reviews for proof). 4. I would not feed Costa's "food" to a dead rat! 5. My dog literally refused to eat Costa's pizza and cheesesteak, even though he eats almost anything. 6. I do not believe even one of the rave reviews and wonder who actually wrote them.

Horrible tasting pizza and sandwiches. Stale, ultra-cheap ingredients are used. Filthy premises! Mouse waste was found in and near the food by health inspectors (google 'Philadelphia food safety inspection reports'). Costa's has a mere two star rating at Y*LP, where it is difficult to post fake reviews. Costa's tries to cover up their spoiled, rotting food with too much salt and other cheap seasonings. But they fail miserably. Even the lowly chains serve infinitely better tasting food.

Great cheese steak and pizza! Great friendly service! Delivery is quick, and pick up is also available. This place is now my favorite go-to for dinner when the fridge is empty at home! Their fries and onion rings are also delicious!!

Literally the worst restaurant in Philly. But lots of phony five star reviews are on the other major review site, G--gle. Notice that they have the same grammatical errors and make the same fake points, LOL. Thank god for Yelp, where it is difficult to post bogus reviews. Where do I start? The pizza has the cheapest possible ingredients, some of which have expired. The steaks have low-end imported beef that needs to be chopped into thousands of pieces just to be made edible due to the huge amount of gristle present. The hoagies have body hairs and $2 per pound supermarket lunchmeat. Yuck! Ew! Gross! None of the food is fresh. Almost all of the ingredients are old and come out of a can or freezer. Even the rolls are usually stale. And the desserts often have mold! And all of the food (except the stale rolls) tastes terrible. Even my dog literally refused to eat any of this pig slop even though he likes almost everything. Could it be because of both the horrible flavors and the plethora of mouse feces found all over the premises? Search the City of Philadelphia's last three health inspection reports for this restaurant if you need proof of the mouse poopie problem (note the staggeringly high number of disgusting violations in their most recent thee inspections). I have witnessed the staff handle filthy garbage bags and money, and then prepare the food with their unwashed hands! And seen the old woman sneeze into someone's salad without even trying to cover her mouth. There are reason that Yelp gives a mere two star rating but G--gle gives an unreasonably high four stars. Thanks again, Yelp, for making reviews more honest. This garbage dump survives because of the plethora of fake reviews posted on G--gle.

I would not go there 5 people talking in store with no mask I was the year ago they game me wrong order. second time something again. Plus food is not so great.. There is better pizza places around ..

Great place and great owners! Love the food especially the costa's seasoning wings and crunchy chicken! Highly recommend eating at costa's!!

I've been ordering from Costas for abou 5 years now but tonight will be my last time sadly. Ordered the buffalo chicken quesadilla and at first glance it looked ok but when I bit into it yuck too much sauce not enough cheese and chicken tasted like straight hot sauce! Idk who's the cook now but they need to be fired. I ate it because I'm on my lunch break and it arrived 10 mins late but this is the last time I'll be ordering from here.

I would never order from this place again. I ordered a cheesesteak and the bread was COMPLETELY drenched. I have never ate a cheesesteak in where the bread was completely saturated. I also ordered fries and legit ALL THE FRIES were soggy and also drenched in oil. Do not go to this place unless u wanna waste ur money.

The pizza is good here. I've ordered a few times, and it's not bad. Having said that, the last time I ordered, the driver decided to break the law by writing in a tip onto my credit card slip. Had I been a bit younger, perhaps this would have led to some bruises and maybe a little bit of shattered glass. Yeah, this makes me angry. I gave the guy a cash tip, and he hands me the receipt, where he had already given himself a tip. Costa, just so you know, that really is against the law. I'm 100% positive that it's not your fault, but If you'd like to know the penalty for such an offense, let it happen just one more time.

Great pizza, wings and cheesesteaks. This is our go to place whenever we order out or have parties and everyone always loves the pizza.

I always love there food. But there wings sizes changed!? Now only 10 or 20 or 50? 12 wings is customer who only does 10?? I'll be getting them elsewhere. Many places do 12,18, 24 etc. we get them all the time. I was so bummed when I called to order.

Once again speed in, Chicken salad deluxe stood out enough to warrant a review. It's a straight up garden salad with olives, tomatoes, ice burger lettuce, green pepper, cucumber, etc etc... Topped with two heaping scoops house made chicken salad. The chicken salad is balanced, heavy on the shredded chicken breast and just enough mayo to avoid it being dry but not so much it makes it a calorie laden mess. Makes a good lunch, very taste.

I am impressed! I called close to closing last night & ordered from them for the first time. The calzone my lazy @ss had delivered was stuffed with yummy ricotta cheese fresh baby spinach that was not over cooked & sloppy! We added garlic because we like to keep the vampires away at night making for a tasty meal. The crust was not too thick or dry & it was still crispy when delivered! Another plus is that their minimum charge for deliver is only $6 which most of the items on the menu fit comfortably around.

The pasta sauces are too liquidy, not thick enough. I wouldn't come back here again since I can make an awesome sauce with pasta for under $20 with much more servings. And the girl at the front is a bit condescending and rude.

So gross...I ordered two sandwiches and waited for them while they were making them.They had the phone girl that answers the phone, and hands dirty money over to customers, as well as drivers make my sandwich. When I saw her dip her bare hands into the g.p / condiments jar and slap it on my sandwich I almost vomited. I understand this isn't gourmet food (no gloves) but come on....... can you at least go wash your hands after touching everything that's non food related?? I was physically there while they prepared my sandwich, so I cant imagine what happens to your food when you order delivery from them...

Very disappointing! Ordered two burgers, mozzarella sticks, and chicken nuggets at 3:57 and we received our order at 4:55. An hour long it took, all of our food was cold, and it's shame because we always order from he but definitely not again!

Tried back after a few years. I work across the street so staying away has been a pain. First two orders went fine. Pizza on the first order was good, pizza steak on the second was good. Third visit reminded me why I stayed away. They forgot to make my order, made it wrong, and apparently it was a different cook, so even though I ordered a pizza steak a week later, this one was horrible. Some things never change.

This used to be our go-to spot in the area for pizza. They had the best pizza and sandwiches! But something happened...I don't know if they got a new cook, or what, but the pizza has really fallen off. It's a shame bc we used to order from them every Friday religiously. They new our names and our orders when we called! Very very nice people, but the pizza is just not the same :-(

Hey y'all! I'm from the south and I'm extremely picky about my food how its prepared how it is handled .. the whole 9 yards. I'm very reluctant to try new places here in the north because a lot of restaurants have bragged that a certain food item is the best and so on and so forth and well when I have tried other establishments food ... um lets just say i wouldn't even feed it to my dog! One afternoon i had the surprise of my life.... My sweetie came home with food from Costa's (right around the corner ...literally) and said I want you to try yet again another "philly steak and cheese" I reluctantly said sure I'm game......Just because other establishments have extremely failed in the philly cheese steak department doesn't mean this new place is the same as the others......... TO MY SURPRISE........ It was out of this world delicious... I know what you are thinking shes from the south she doesn't know food ...well you are wrong ...I have 36 years of food behind my words to back it up...... 1) Food was fresh not out of a can like other establishments 2) It was cooked with love... I know that sounds crazy but you ask any real chef/cook and they will tell you that a dish made out of love or from the heart is the dish you wish to get again and again! Anyways back to my story.... I was so tickled pink with the order my sweetie brought home for me I asked him where it came from and he said Costa's I nearly fainted I said WOW that's amazing food...... it was so amazing I got on the back of the motorcycle and practically jumped off after arriving at Costa's parking lot ... I ran in and didn't say anything at first i watched from the waiting area to make sure I was witnessing fresh food and well I was ...imagine that an establishment actually using real fresh meats and produce I was amazed! I love the cheese steaks and the pizzas as well ...Cant eat there too much I have to watch my calories but when I do cheat on calories Costa's is the first place i call on speed dial........ Oh and for the nay sayers I haven't had one problem with any of the staff they see me walking in and smile and say hi to me always and that's important to me ...being from down south we always acknowledge each other weather we know them or not and well up here its rare to find someone being friendly cause they want to be friendly not because they have to be

I can here for Sicilian pizza and it is very delicious despite the fact that if you get a lot of toppings aka all the veggies...you'll be paying almost 30$, pizza is good, but the wait is not the best. The appearance inside kind of grosses me out, but when I want Sicilian I come here.

Have ordered from this place numerous times and find the food to be good from the items that I have ordered. My only peeve is the counter person/manager that takes the order. She is very rude and makes us (the customers) seem we are wrong whenever we try to explain that the order was wrong. She seems to think that she is always right and gets the order perfectly. Sorry but no one in this world is perfect especially you!! And after the order gets delivered and we call them to let them know, SHE wants us to pay extra/or double what we paid due to their mistake. She does not have customer service skills and I wonder why is she is the manager, if she can't keep the customer happy???

If you like the cook touching you're food with his bare hands then go ahead and order from this place. I placed an order over the phone and showed up fifteen minutes later. When I got there, the cashier was outside smoking a cigarette...then followed me inside. When she gets inside the cook than walks in from the back and begins preparing my food after I placed the order fifteen minties ago. I ordered a burger and he touches the roll with his bare hands. The cashier (that was smoking) grabs bacon with her bare hands and puts it on the grill. The cook grabbed pickles with his bare hands and puts it on the burger. He did use a spatula to put the burger on the bread...but then manages to use his bare finger to slide the burger off the spatula and onto the bun. Mind you this is all in front of my face...disgusting. The place looked disgusting as well. I can't confirm if they washed their hands or not but I can say I didn't see anyone washing their hands. Either way...wear gloves...use tongs to handle people's food. Never ordering from here again.

I've ordered from Costas well over 15 times in the past year or so. I mostly get the steak stromboli which is always perfectly cooked (I hate getting a stromboli that is under done). The steak fries are always freshly cooked and piping hot by the time it gets to me. The chicken parm dinner is also delicious. The chicken is HUGE. Cheesesteak fries are also something to try as they are a meal in themselves. The only thing I didn't care for was the crunchy chicken as it wasn't crunchy at all when it was delivered. All in all it's the best pizza delivery place in Somerton. Hands down.

Come get your cheese steaks here! Done just right, fresh rolls and the service was friendly. My future son in law told me he knew where Philly's best cheese steaks are...Costa's is a great!
