Costco Wholesale

Recently became a member. I have enjoyed wandering through seeing all the products available. Everything you ever wanted and I do mean everything 🙂 Pricing is pretty good on most things. I have done Sam's club and find costco to be a little cleaner and open spacially. After an hour (or honestly more like 2) of wandering I purchased a winter puffy jacket for $20 and a few yummy snack foods. We then indulged ourselves with a huge all beef hot dog and a rather large cup of soft serve ice cream well under $10

I shop at Costco Wholesale often and always have a good experience. The store is clean, bright, and easy to walk through. The staff are friendly and willing to help when you need it. I like the wide selection of groceries, household items, and seasonal products. The prices are fair, especially when buying in bulk for a family. The checkout lines move quickly even when the store is busy. It’s a dependable place to shop in Ankeny and worth the membership. *price match within 60 days too

The food here is the cheapest, and the portions are generous. I especially love the sampling opportunities; you can try the food, and if you like it, you can buy it. It's great!

It would be great if we could find large containers of laundry detergent here. There's plenty of food, and it's hygienic and fresh.

I am very disappointed in this store. The staff here are very rude and talk down to you. I also don’t understand that if I bring a friend with me and they would like to buy something, that the register people look really offended. Seriously, why wouldn’t you want people to spend their money in your store. I pay for an executive membership. I was a long time member at the West Des Moines store and do not remember ever having a rude encounter with the staff. I loved that store. I only decided to go to Ankeny because it’s closer to where I live now. I think this company needs a training program on how to treat customers with respect and friendliness. Perhaps they are trained to be rude instead?

Very accommodating for people with walking aids. There is a very large side entrance right by the free aids they offer both motorized and non motorized wheel chairs. The entire store was accessible. It's nice to see accessibility was actually easy to use.

Epic Mega Costco!! It’s huge! The biggest in the Midwest in fact. It has a very well thought out layout. Other than the crowds, no complaints! All the staff were very efficient and helpful. There are a few differences from the West Des Moines location: 1. Optical is to the far left by pharmacy 2. Alcohol is in the back left corner area 3. The back is similar but bigger, pet stuff is tucked in its own section in the back 4. There is a fridge section next to the freezer section with cheese, meats, etc. 5. Food court has a nice self-service. It’s super easy, just hit buttons, pay and then wait to pick it up! 6. Tire shop is a little further back on the left (from entrance). Hope this helps!

Roomier gas station, better parking and more room for general shopping in store compared to West Des Moines Costco. For now... Seems they're putting up a ton of buildings around it. They have frequent sales on top of what are already mostly good deals.
