Sundays are busy days for Costco shopping, be prepared for a line at both the check out and the door verifying your receipt. That being said there are some pretty good samples to be had through out the store. Costco meats, poultry, and larger volume products are generally a better deal (and great quality) for items that you can use and dont spoil, or for immediate use.
Today's trip was just for a couple items and we were in and out within 30 minutes or so. Associates are always friendly and helpful - you never have to go far to find help if you need it. The store is always well stocked and some items are season or new, and change from time to time. Their pizza and drink for $2.50 and their hot dog and drink for $1.50 have been a staple for years.
If you are looking for electronics they generally have what you want in stock, and usually are around 10-15% standard retail, plus some items have a longer warranty through Costco without additional cost.
While you have your yearly membership for Costco take the time to with has, which has for an average of .20-.30 cents off per gallon. Honestly the gas alone is worth the basic membership in my opnion.
For those that have a family or do a lot of grocery shopping they take EBT (food stamps) and their larger quanity items can help you save from a standard grocery store. If you couple this with a higher level membership you can earn money back per year, and for some pays for the higher membership fee in the first year back in cash rewards.
So in conclusion Costco is great for saving money for food, gas, and quanity purchases that will over and above cover your membership if you go there regularly. Their customer service is great and often have extended return policies that are better than most retail stores. I got a great deal on Michelin tires with road hazard included at no extra charge for my car recently. Great place to consider replacing for your regular grocery runs, plus a whole lot more. Note: I am a satisfied customer and do not work for Costco.
