Frustrating and Disorganized Service - Wasted Over an Hour
I had an incredibly frustrating experience at Costco Tire Service. Service representative Anthony was condescending and Rena uncommunicative.
I arrived 15 minutes early for my appointment, but as it was my first time there, I mistakenly parked behind a car being serviced. I immediately moved my car when asked--no issue there. However, when I went back to check in, the employee who sold me my tires, Anthony, condescendingly told me, "For future tire service, don't park behind another car," and followed up with, "That's what the parking spots are for." His tone was unnecessary and made for a poor first impression.
I continued checking in with Rena, who asked for my keys and where I had parked. After I answered, she took my keys and walked off without explaining what she was doing, how long she'd be gone, or whether I was finished checking in. Then, Anthony and another employee left the counter, leaving me alone with no clear confirmation that my check-in was complete.
Assuming they had what they needed, I went into Costco to shop while my car was supposedly being serviced. I never received a call or text saying my check-in wasn't complete. After 45 minutes, I returned, only to find that my car hadn't been touched. I waited another 10-20 minutes in the service center before finally being told that my check-in never went through because I hadn't signed paperwork--something no one informed me about. Because of their lack of communication, they let my appointment lapse and refused to fit me in, telling me I had to come back the next day.
They had my number to call when my tires arrived and made my appointment, I don't see why they wouldn't call when a complication arose completing the appointment.
Ultimately, this was a complete waste of my time due to poor organization and terrible communication. I ended up just requesting a refund and leaving. Safe to say they won't have to worry about me parking in the wrong spot again, as I'll never be back.
