This is my go-to Costco for food and gas. When they expanded and added an extra gas pump to each line, it made a difference. If everyone used the long hoses, they'd get out of there much faster!
Do yourself a favor and park aways from the entrance. If you come at peak times, it's a mad house if you try to park close and you'll start to lose your insanity going around in circles. There are plenty of spaces in the area near the tire shop. Better yet, come early and NEVER on a weekend! If you like snacking new product at the demo stations, then don't come early...
What do I buy here? Always the roasted chicken ($4.99). Can't beat the price and it's delicious. Raspberries and blueberries, Doritos chips, packaged quinoa & brown rice (perfect for the lazy cook and yummy!), frozen mini won-tons, coffee, fruit juices, packaged broccoli salad or Chinese chicken salad, Japanese seaweed (!), butter, Craisins, jars of artichoke hearts, thermal underwear, roasted almonds, double fiber bread, vitamins, booze, etc.
I try not to buy in bulk since it takes forever for two old people to use, and it takes up too much precious space in my pantry and freezers. I just buy what I need that comes in small quantities.
The $1.50 hot dog and soft drink deal is pretty good. I think I need to try the chicken bake since everyone raves about it. If you remember, buy them at the regular cashier line where you purchase all of your goods, then you don't have to wait to pay in the long line at pick-up. There is a separate line for pre-paid food. Yes, it's worth it.
