Costco Wholesale

As far as Costco goes, this location is on par with the others. There is a gas station here, and their selection is great. A word of warning - it is located in a mall, so parking is an absolute nightmare. The lot is always full, and this location is packed every time we come here. You have to do a lot of maneuvering to get a seat in the lunch area. It's best to come at odd hours or early in the morning when it first opens, if possible.

This Costco is spacious, clean, and well-stocked with great deals on bulk items. The staff is efficient, and samples are a bonus. The food court is fast and affordable. Parking can be hectic, but overall, it’s a great spot for value and variety.

Loveeee Costco! You could say I’m a loyal fan. Always has the staples you need and fun stuff to try out. Deals for days and if you’re not familiar, sizes are everything. The motto is: the bigger the better. The staff are so sweet and helpful, I haven’t seen a happier staff working in a warehouse with tons of people coming in and out each day. Samples are also available at certain times- not quite sure when but people go crazy! (I honestly try to go when crowds are low). The food court is also great! Try it all! Pizza has a lot of calories but I’ve heard it’s worth it (hits your protein goals) and the ice cream soft serve always hits. Get. A. Membership. Do it! So worth it!

I and my family usually having bad experience at Costco every single time we visit Costco, we usually lift up the cases of water into the self check out to scan them even if they are self check out assistance there, and they will never assist us with their wireless scanner, if we asked them, they're always mean to us for no reasons. It usually Carmel and the old white lady Angela were at the self check out. This incident happened on July 27th at 12:30PM, It was the worse day because they didn't want to help us while we asked them to scan cases of water for us. They actions were priceless against us. Carmel was near us he stepped away while he saw us with 4 cases of water, at the same time we were calling the old white lady Angela to help us, she went to assist someone else and left, but we have to call her twice, and she came back with hanger to scan only two cases of water, and my husband has to remind her about the other two cases but she didn't care, and she was telling my husband to scan the dishwasher soap like we were going to steal it, while we were purchasing some stuff with a different card. We've tried to report it to their supervisor Mike, which it seemed like he didn't care at all. I think he treated us like we are dumb people by saying, you're a member, so that issue will be reported. We felt like it was just the way to make us shut up so he can not write a report. That's why i do call this specific type of employee (company destroyer!). We will regret if Costco do not take actions for this such of behavior against the customer!!!

As of the time of writing, they no longer allow people to view the store to see if they want to buy a membership. While you can view online goods, this is NEVER a good indication if what is in the store nor the quality of the store in general. Perhaps it would not have been as bad if I didn't have to drive an hour to get there.

Lady at checkout let there be an entirely separate line going to one register waiting to checkout where there shouldn’t have been, then got mad at us for waiting in the proper line and going to a register after being directed to by an employee. A line going up through the middle of the store and then cutting off the people who waited in the correct line. She needs to check herself and there should be better line regulation.

Been to this location a few times and no real complaints. Gas is as expected though I wish the card scanner worked better for digital cards. I also used the car service for a torn air nozzle and they were very friendly, got me in quickly for walk in and I picked my tire up a couple hours later. The only thing I wish was an option was checking out through the app, more of a Costco in general thing so not taking stars away. BJ's has this feature which saves me a ton of time ringing my items up as I shop. Considering the check receipts at the door, I don't think it's a hard ask. Otherwise I like Costco, may still keep both memberships, but the customer service here is great! I've had to call a couple times throughout the years and I will always praise customer service lines that don't antagonize their already agitated consumers.

Great stuff, very busy store so try not to come during busy times if ya can. But if not no sweat, I've never had any problems walking around and getting what I needed, you don't really notice it until checkout and then the line will be backed up. But in terms of service and product selection you'll enjoy it, get a membership!

This place is ALWAYS busy; prepare to battle for a parking spot close to the entrance. The selection of items is pretty standard of most Costco's, but the service at the pharmacy here is superb. They're very quick to fill prescriptions and are friendly and helpful. Those on cashier duty are very quick to check you out, which makes up for the hoards of people you have to wade through in the produce areas. Expect it. Don't be in a rush. But if you find that you are, this is not the place, friend, you need to go elsewhere!

Visited this location for the 1st time. Pulling up you would think it's packed inside. It had the Saturday shopping crowd but they got you in line and out quickly! I was able to find some good eats and deals! I'll be back!

We have been to the Costco nearby multiple times in a year so we have never asked for help. The selection had an extremely long selection of self care,food and household items. Value was like grocery store items but in bulk. Food court was a good experience and delicious food.

Now that we live in a rural area, it's quite an excursion to go to a Costco! We're smack in the middle of the Costcos in Fredericksburg, Glen Allen, and Charlottesville, with each being about an hour from our house. So, we emptied out the back of the car, put in some coolers and ice packs, and headed to the Fredericksburg store. We found our old favorites -- Cape Cod Chicken salad; Mexican cheese. Some new things that we wanted to try -- Olive Garden salad dressing: hemp hearts. Nice fresh fruits and veggies -- red grapes, banana. And, some good sales -- chicken thighs ($6 off) and Tide Oxipods ($5.40 off). Check-out was relatively smooth; they always seem to be busy! But, the real measure of success? All of our refrigerated items fit into our coolers, and the rest fit in the car!

This location is always under staffed. The line to get out the door is unreal. The staff that is there are poorly trained in customer service. Things are always in disarray and they have a poor selection of quality produce. Fruit flies are always on the fruit and vegetables during the warmer months.

I LOVE the cinnamony (Is that even a word?! ) churros! And the free samples are ALL THAT and more! God bless you all, repent and let Jesus in your hearts!

I love this Costco! I come here once a week for my grocery shopping, and I have yet to have a bad experience. I grab my cart and flash my card, and everything from there is just a breeze. I eat a lot of fresh fruits and vegetables, and I really appreciate the variety of organic produce to choose from. I usually get here between 11-1, and there are sample stations set up throughout the food sections so that you can try some of their products! The return policy here really can't be beat. I'm never scared to buy clothing here without trying it on, becasue I know can try it on at home and if I don't like it, I can just return it the following week. You don't even need a receipt, just your Costco card! I grew up in the DC metro area, and I can honestly say this one isn't as insanely busy as the one I went to growing up! Bonus: there is a huge selection of beer and wine!

Something new happening at Costco! We were grabbing a LOT of stuff for the holiday. Not only were we are there during the peak hours - we moved through the line faster than ever! We were in and out in an hour! Whatever Costco is doing - keep doing it! Best Costco Day!

Let me begin by saying SANDY, and the optical department is extremely rude and unprofessional on the phone with customers. I called to inquire about placing an order for contacts, and she acted as though I was seriously bothering her by looking up my information to see if I was able to order them there. Sandy hung up on me while I was still asking a question. This was today at 4:18 pm. I came into the office and simply did not speak to her. Allen was extremely helpful, pleasant and professional! Also so was the staff at checkout, which are only reasons why I am giving 3 stars versus 1. Costco has a place where people visit sometimes just in there downtime, therefore, customer service truly needs to be Paramount.

costco is a corrupt company who is only into profiteering without care for certain people that were injured due to their negligence. i was injured on their sidewalk the first day i signed up. they had a wiring taped from a mobile toilet they hired directly from the parking lot into their bldg. i didn't see the wiring & i fell flat on my face (left side brow bone) along with the rest of my body. they didn't even block the sidewalk that morning so no one will get injured especially with a protruded wiring on a flat sidewalk. i was distraught & they asked me to fill out a pc. of paper about the incident. as i was writing, a bump started to appear on my eyebrow while i was feeling a throbbing pain. after i finished, i thought i will still be able to shop for items i went there for, but a headache & left shoulder pain started to bother me so i decided to abandon my cart and headed towards my car. i noticed they blocked the sidewalk and the parking lot after my injury. it took several hours filling out the paper cause i was in a daze and pain wouldn't allow me to concentrate so i decided to go home to relax. i ended up rubbing the pain with essential oil blend i mixed on my forehead (i learned from aromatherapy course), then i laid down to rest but i wasn't tires, but fell asleep & woke up after midnight. the next day i called costco headquarters about the incident & they said they will take care of it & i will hear from them. they never did call back or showed any concern at all. after 2 days, i had a black-eye & i started having back pain every time i exercised. i even called a lawyer so i can get compensated to pay for holistic therapy, but no one would take my case & i felt abandoned to deal with my pain. i did the best to help myself through holistic teachings i learned through books & other resources available. to make the story short, the people who saw my injury while i was filling out the paper & the other employees who tried to help me in legal matters disappeared & the man working at the legal dept. at the headquarters no longer worked there, so i was left dumbfounded & upset for a whole year until it was time to renew my membership in which i removed any access to my debit card to prevent them from renewing. it was definitely a conspiracy & injustice on their end. the back pain is still there when i exercise in certain position. the emotional damage will never go away and how their hypocrisy & greed for money will always stay in my heart. it's just a matter of time when god will step in to bring justice to the trodden ones, vs. those who participated in their unlawful operations & conspiracy. not even offering at least some compensation of a sort to show they're a caring company. costco ended up blaming the mobile toilet they hired and vice-versa, but what about the victim who suffered? disgusting without integrity!!!

Always good quality, pricing and the service is exceptionally good. Their return policy is why I choose to shop there for big ticket items,,, only had to return 3 things in over 20 years... Best value/service for the vehicle tires and batteries. Can't beat their prices on liquor/beer/beverages compared with name brand stores. Gotta love their hotdog and soda!

Fresh food, great prices! You can buy everything there. New deals all the time! I love the rotisserie chicken and their huge cakes!

This store needs to work with their personal on moving people through the check out lines. I had to wait for my cart of items purchased so that the checker (helper) could chat with another worker in a check lane. When I finally received the cart the individual did not apologize for the wait he just gave me some sarcastic comment making it sound like it was my fault. I would suggest your train your personal on the using some business sense as this is not a bar with a lot of chit chat.

The cafe here is a joke. 4 minutes to get a hotdog and soda. There was a woman in line ahead of me who waited at least 10 minutes for them to hand her a cup. That was her whole order, a soda, 10+ minutes. I hope she didn't want the lemonade because it was fizzy like a soda and didn't taste much like lemonade. I asked for onions, they didn't have any. Not "I'm sorry, we are out." Just "we don't have any." The pump condiment machine did have mustard, it was out of relish and nearly out of ketchup. Flies in the dining area.

This Costco is part of the Spotsylvania Towne Centre, connected to the mall, so you can walk around and do shopping and then end up doing some bulk shopping afterwards. Just like other Costcos, they offer are appliances, auto/tires, items for babies and kids, clothing, handbags, computers/printers, electronics, furniture, hardware, health and beauty products, home/decor items, jewelry/watches, office products, patio/outdoor items, items for pets, and travel/luggage items. There is a huge influx of people here, especially on the weekends, but the cashiers seem to be pretty efficient - I noticed that they didn't have all of the lanes opened, but the lines moved quickly. Staff members are all friendly, and there are more samples available on the weekends. The 'food court' dining-in area is a little tiny, and the lines in front of the ordering area can be a little in the way of those who are checking out. Plenty of parking in the Towne Center lot. +attached to the Spotsylvania Towne Centre +friendly staff

Good value for items. Bulk is good but sometimes I wish size of bottles to be medium rather than large.

Walking out of Costco a few days ago, I had just a few items, the lady checking my receipt insisted on touching all of the contents in basket, I asked could You please wear a glove if you insist on touching everything, she said "I don't need to wear anything , just get out of here , shut up and go!" I am 45 years old so believe me when I tell you I couldn't believe what I heard. I mentioned it to one manager and she said oh no not her she would never say that, even though it was in front of my wife and kids and brother as well. Finally asked to speak to the warehouse manger and he said he would talk to her. So who knows if he even did. And like somebody else said on here, she won't check everyone's receipt and items.

Very disorganized and slow membership services. I'm sure other aspects of Costco like their gas and wholesale part are fine but memberships team was absolutely horrible.

SOME NEED REFRESHER TRAINING FOR BETTER CUSTOMER SERVICE! Self check line: use this 2-3 times a month. One guy is great, very proactive, and courteous: scans the membership card and my usual 2 to 5 items, boom, we're done. Give that guy a raise! Other employees are not so great. One guy in particular might helpfully point to an open terminal, if he's not too busy with his phone or chatting with another employee or customer. If they aren't busy, he might even turn his back on you as you approach. One-on-one, he is rude and impatient, as if scanning something is interrupting something more important (like playing with the phone, but I repeat myself). Another woman today had almost the same work "ethic" of standing around with her scanner and chatting. Food court is courting disaster. 1115, ordered the standby hot dog and drink. 1130, went for a refund! 2 women working behind the counter, the one at the cash register seem to be better at flapping around uselessly than getting orders out. Things should be ready to go at that time of day, but long lines there have been so common lately that I have opted to go elsewhere. Gas prices are best around. Wish they had diesel fuel.

Purchased 2 sets of eye glasses from the Costco Optical department from this location. The first set the lens kept popping off the frame, they was no warranty but I complained and they covered it. 2 years later same problem. They don't make that frame anymore as it is discontinued. Did not offer anything and did not want to help me until I got a new eye exam. I told them that I'd go somewhere else did not seem to bother them offering nothing. Customer service was non existent.

This is for the Tire Center at this location. Needed a tire repaired for a nail in the tread. Showed up at 10 AM to try and get in early. Found out they only allow appointments. Thought I was lucky to get an appointment at 3 PM the same day so I waited around until it was time for the appointment. When I dropped the car off and told them what kind of car it was two of them started debating whether the car had noise reduction tires and one said "I'm not messing with a noise reduction tire." They charged me a $10.99 fee (apparently non-refundable) and told me it would take a couple hours because they only had 2 people. So I waited around again for an hour just for them to tell me they "couldn't" work on the tire due to the noise reduction foam. They said it was because the adhesive for the foam interfered with the adhesive for the plug and said they did it once before, it didn't work and they were told to never do it again (nevermind the guy said he "wouldn't" do it earlier). On top of that, they said they didn't have ANY new tires in the size I needed. Basically a whole day wasted and despite me providing the make and model when I made the appointment no one looked and thought to contact me earlier to not waste my day.

Costco is awesome, I just left a 22 year relationship with BJ's wholesale club after a terrible experience with their front line workers and managers. Costco could teach BJ's a thing or two about customer care and service. Thank you Costco for greeting me with friendly well trained individuals. Thank you Costco for providing complimentary masks for your members amidst covid19 Thank you Costco for cleaning my cart and having it ready for me to use when I walked in. Thank you Costco for making the sign up to become a member painless and for having professional individuals working. Thank you Costco I look forward to a long term relationship with your organization.

I have never paid money to be talked to like I was today in Costco. We were in self checkout and the label on our watermelon was torn so we could not use the scanner ourselves. Nita, who was working the self checkout (and who we have have noticed on prior trips has a attitude) came up to here we were. She said (really rudely) put the watermelon in the cart and I will scan it. It had not been 2 seconds (for us to respond to the request) and she said, I said put the watermelon in the cart so I can scan it. Probably one of the rudest persons I have run into in any establishment. I realized people are stressed and working hard, but this seems to be the norm for her. May be time to take my business somewhere that sass isn't served up with my groceries.

We shop here often and have a membership with Costco for 20+ years. We bought 2 bottles of Moet Chandon champagne for a celebration out of town. We opened the bottles and they smelled and tasted like CABBAGE! Yuck! We looked it up and found that it comes from the store buying cheap pallets of bottles that are stored improperly. Each bottle was $37+ . Never will buy wine/champagne here again.

As long as you don't mind buying higher quality products in larger sized packages, you'll absolutely love Costco. I look forward to receiving Costco's monthly member's savings booklet every month. The store's prices are already great and when something goes on sale, you know that you're getting a really good price. In shopping at Costco for about ten years now, I've rarely had a problem with the quality of their products. Their products always outperform the products at BJs and Sam's Club. Before the pandemic, when Costco offered lots of free samples, you could literally walk around and have a meal while you shopped but those days are long over. Oh, and I forgot to mention, talk about a return policy, Costco has to have one of the most generous ones. You just can't go wrong shopping with them. In fact, the policy is so good that you'll be more tempted to try new products because you know that they've got your back. Now to what I really wanted to write: I can see that Costco employees are always working really hard, doing their best under very stressful conditions. I'm always amazed how helpful and courteous they are even when they're surrounded by, well, you know what I mean. They, like the hardworking employees at Walmart and other retail stores, are my heroes and I salute and thank every one of you for everything that you do.

I've been to Louisville, Sarasota, and this one is ok. They seem under-staffed though, at the Reception Desk. I enjoy shopping there; even when lines are jammed Fri mornings!

Walked into Costco for the first time ever with the intent on purchasing a membership. I was lied to by two separate employees about what information they needed from me to join. (I don't blame them, I think they were trained to do this as part of convincing people to join) I'm sensitive about my personal information and was told by both of them that they only needed my ID and payment info. As I was filling out the form he asked me for my phone number. I asked if that was needed and he said yes, I asked if there was anything else and he said an email address. I told him he didn't say any of that earlier and he apologized. Very not happy at this point and I asked again if there was anything else? He said just payment which I proceeded to do. Then he dropped a bomb and asked me to take a picture. I said no and he told me he couldn't get me a card without it. I told him he just told me I didn't need to give him anything else and he said he didn't think I would mind. My bank doesn't need my picture and I wouldn't have gone near that place I knew that was required. I immediately asked for a refund and left.

While my wife and I generally enjoy our Costco membership and experience, my wife did not appreciate the service at this particular chain. The person that checked her receipt was outright racist. She smiled and laughed with people of her same melatonin levels without checking their receipts or inventory but treated those not alike with scorn, treating her like a would be thief! Shame!

Had to make an emergency stop on a Saturday morning in the busiest part of Fredericksburg....for a phone charger! With only a few minutes to spare, we accomplished our task in less than 15 minutes! The staff was exceptional! They moved like they were working on a busy Friday after Christmas sale. Cashier lines were open throughout the front of the store, the merchandise pickup area had staff for each customer. There was simply no waiting! Kudos to their attention to exemplary customer service!

The workers at Costco in Fredericksburg are wonderful!!! This morning I went to get my regular items. When I got home and was unpacking my items, I realized that the batteries that I bought were not there. I went back to Costco. The ladies there were amazing. One particular lady, took my receipt and searched on the camera to find what happened. Unfortunately they could not find anything because of video and the time stamp. So the lady asked one of coworkers there to get a pack of batteries for me. She was so kind and so helpful. They were awesome!!!

Want to acknowledge Keenon and especially Joel in the Costco Tire Department for probably saving my life. I stopped by the Tire Department tonight to get some air in a tire I have that was leaking. I told Joel I was leaving in the morning for a 900 mile one-way trip and so he made sure my car got into the shop to check my bad tire. He found three leaks in the tire and it probably would not have held up during the trip. I honestly think he saved me from some horrible tire blowout/accident on the highway. I am forever in his debt and am so grateful to Costco to have such great employees!

This is for the tire center. Paid for tires on 7/31, called on the 8/3 to see if they were in, they weren't. Than on 8/7 got a voicemail mentioning my interest in the tires, called a few days later, gave my name and mentioned the message I received and was told to come on in to have them put on. Show up on 8/13, as my schedule allowed, and was told order had been cancelled by Donald who originally helped me. So they didn't have my tires but they still had my money. Worst service ever, stay away from the Tire Center!!!!

I was here buying stuff found out they charge me extra, went to customer service trying get my refund, the lady was being rude n impatient, n wasn't welling to return me the Correct the price

Been going here for awhile now ever since I moved to Fredericksburg. I can say that I used their auto center and it was a great experience. They were extremely quick and the deals they had on tires were great!

I was in there today with my daughter all I can say the cashier Dee dee was very rude she should take note from Kevin in electronic he was amazing and took time to explain some tv questions I give Kevin 5 stars

Costco is the worst place to get a membership at! Well, at least the one here in Fredericksburg. This one man, Xavier, who was working at customer service who lied to me about the documents I needed to buy a membership. I knew I needed ID to buy a membership, but this man made a who fiasco about the ID needing to have the same address from both card holders. It's more complicated to get a valid card at Costco than it is to get one at the DMV! If you want better customer service, might as well go to BJs or Sam's Club. Or maybe, just get an ID card at the DMV, they have better service there. I never thought that Costco's membership was such a federal card to need address verification.

I'm rating this Costco low based on there customer service. They have the worst customer service ever. It's not just one occasion it's every time I go in. I questioned whether or not I should even renew but remembered the deals I get. I just wish the people were more pleasant.

The first reason I love Costco...They have a MAX 15% markup over cost. You can find amazing things there for a good price. Over the years we have purchased many big ticket items like tables, tv's and their temper pedic like mattress. The tables were twice as much at other stores. The tv was 900 more for the same model without a stand at best buy and the mattress you cant even compare. When I can, I buy the Kirkland store brand. The quality is top notch and you can rest assured that you're getting good stuff. Costco and Wegmans, how do we live without them.

this complain is made to Diana at customer service. Diana is chewing gum every time when I went to customer desk. It is very annoying to see someone moving his or her mouth while serving customers, especially working at service department. About 5 staffs at customers desk, i noticed that only her chewing gum all the time.Plus she was not professional like any others with smile.

I see a lot of people complaining because they had too many kids or they didn't like this or that. These people are generally unhappy people who often ask to speak with a manager everywhere they go. Costco is awesome. This Costco and all Costco's are awesome. I've shopped here for years and wouldn't change it for the world...expect maybe to add a few more checkout lanes. That's it. I. Love. Costco.

Produce problem appears resolved! Costco threw out all of the old produce and started fresh as of this week. Buy produce at Costco it is delicious again!! And good cheese that go with the fruits and vegetables are a bargain!

Love this place! Great values on almost everything. Only place I will buy tires. Checkouts and parking are hit or miss but that's to be expected. I just don't like when cashiers try to go so super fast that they are having to back track and 'fix' error(s) making the receipt confusing (usually happens about once every 3-4 visits) worse is when error is not caught until walking away bc then it spending 25 min to have it fixed at customer service desk. I do always find things to buy here, I shop here more than anywhere.

I stop here once a week. Everyone who works here is always super friendly and helpful...but I must say, Day, the greeter at the front is one of the nicest, most cheerful and wonderful people ever! Every week it's a joy to see him and his smile. He's always enthusiastic and making small talk/giving stickers to my toddler. I just love his energy and he brings joy to my whole week!

This is CostCo. I don't know what to tell you people. Buy lots of things on the cheap. Free samples = free meal. I did pick up some awesome sweaters for cheap. Pro: it's a CostCo. Cons: Parking can be competitive.

Missing some of the essentials. I guess not all cost is were created equally. Didn't have the tortilla brand I normally get from Costco which is my main reason for going. Porkyland tortillas are the best.

Same old Costco, different location. Always busy & crowded. I like the free food samples & if you're looking for bulk items, it's good pricing. Nothing stands out at this location either good or bad.

Pharmacy...thumbs down! Previcox is priced way higher than other places. No price match, no refund...told to check prices BEFORE I purchase from them. SERIOUSLY?? My $120 yearly membership should ensure that I'm getting the best prices.

I enjoy being a Costco member more than I enjoyed being a BJs member. Costco has some great specials and super cheap bulk shopping prices. However, it is worth it to compare costs because on typical food items they are sometimes similarly priced with Wegmans. I also wish they had more organic fruit and veggies.
