Coto-Coto is located at one of the upper floors of Shinjuku Milord. It's very popular with young girls and had a huge line. You have to put your name on the sign in sheet first and select weather you want your own table or the big shared table in the center of the restaurant then have a seat around the corner of the restaurant to wait.
I was drawn to the restaurant because of their truffle cream udon. The bowl is huge and they put a raw egg yolk on top, along with several pieces of shaved truffle.
When I got the drink, the dish came out very watery and bland. The udon was quite unevenly cut and there wasn't much of a truffle smell, despite several pieces of shaved truffle. The shaved truffle pieces didn't taste or smell much like truffle either.
I ended up eating less than a third of the dish and wasting the rest because the dish was disappointing.
