This boutique hotel was absolutely stunning and one of the best properties I’ve ever stayed in. We booked the ‘Sponges’ suite as there was 4 of us in total. Huge balcony with stunning lemon, fig trees and pretty gardens. Love the quality, antique furniture, decent towels and exceptional bed linen. Air conditioning worked well. Delicious breakfast. Excellent location as 10 mins walk from the port and restaurants, tavernas. Leonard Cohens house about 10 minute walk away from the hotel. We were greeted by Giannis who was so helpful as told us his restaurant and beach recommendations which was brilliant! You need to get a boat from the port to most of the beaches on the island which are well worth visiting. This island was stunning, loved the architecture, plants, beaches, sunsets, food, the local people and this hotel. We would book this hotel again if we ever come back to Hydra.

That is the place to stay at Hydra. |The rooms as neatly decorated, updated and comfortable. Every room has its own personality. Personnel is a bit more laid back than you would expect from this level of hotel, but we were off season. View is not a main feature of this hotel, but it still has plenty to offer as a place of rest.

We stayed at Cotommatae Hydra for 4 days and had an incredible time. The hotel is charming, beautiful, quiet, spotless, and perfectly located to enjoy the island on foot. What really stood out, though, was Yannis’s thoughtfulness and support. He helped us arrange a boat for the day, recommended the best beaches and restaurants, and made everything feel easy. We felt genuinely looked after — and that made all the difference. Would absolutely come back. Highly recommended!!

Gorgeous estate converted to a hotel with seven unique rooms. Friendly staff, delicious breakfast, unexpected on-site tortoise. It's well worth the 10 minute uphill walk from the port (and you can hire a mule to carry your bags). But there are some issues. The mini-split climate control units are interconnected, so if you want to use air conditioning but another guest is using heat, you're out of luck. The front desk keeps limited hours and there's no guidance for how to reach them after hours. (You need to call the main phone number here in Google Maps.) And while the Cellar room with its lofted bed was spacious and beautiful, I wouldn't recommend it to anyone taller than 6 feet (180cm) due to low doorways and crossbeams. Would stay again

Beautiful. Well preserved 19th century house with charme and style. Warm service and great breakfast. In the center of Hydra but secluded from the port and its noise.

Terrific stay. Located near port and all the restaurants but on a quiet street. The owner/manager is delightful and very helpful in terms of suggestions and making dinner reservations for us. We had a large first floor suite and it was very comfortable and well appointed. Breakfast was excellent - great variety and sitting in a nice outdoor patio. Great views from the outdoor veranda as well. Highly recommend.
