9 Places to Shop for Travel Gear on Small Business Saturday

"An outdoor gear company named after one of the world’s most active volcanoes, Cotopaxi stands out for its bright color-block products that instantly bring a smile to shoppers' faces, with everything from travel packs to apparel to accessories, including packing cubes and face masks. Better still, founder Davis Smith is working on tackling global poverty through the Cotopaxi Foundation, inspired by the inequality he lived through growing up in Latin America."

Yelp
Very nice place to grab a sandwich or something hot like a burger or a Chicago dog. The store has a variety of things, including a hardware section.

Yelp
Perfect place to grab a quick bite and get supplies. Friendly cook for made to order meals. Kids devoured their hot dogs and corn dog. Got a bag of ice for camping and on our way. Closes early, but have a ton of essentials for your campsite.

Yelp
What luck! If you are not a local and you are hanging in this area, the chance that you are out for rock climbing or rafting is pretty steep. And did you drive out all this way only to find, like, no stores. No cafes. No diners. No gas stations? Thank goodness for this little, worn in store with its connected Sinclair gas station. The spot appears to be run by a man and a woman who have perfected the ability to run a business seemingly without speaking much to one another. Seriously, they are so calm and quiet. Inside, you will find a deli offering a full breakfast along with breakfast burritos and sandwiches. Yes, a pretty decent egg sandwich with your choice of meat for less than $5. There are plenty of lunch options also. And the place is stocked full of necessities like chips, brownies and other sweets, pre-packaged foods, jerkey, water, soda and more. They even have a car care and hardware shop inside, just next to the dining area. Perfect munch spot for passersby.

Yelp
Yelp has this joint listed as a grocery/hardware store but it's more than that. It's a gas station, convenience store and cafe, too. We stopped in for lunch today--there just isn't anything else close. Mary had a BLT and I had a cheeseburger. Portions are not large and service is not very quick but our food was hot and fresh and the folks working here are very friendly. We spent about 16 bucks for the two sandwiches, two small orders of fries and two cans of Pepsi. Menu includes lots of sandwiches, tuna salad, burritos, etc.

Yelp
I just love this store. In a world of chain stores and strip malls galore, it's great to find a store like this. It bows to no norms and that is so appreciated. This store has a little bit of everything, including a hardware and repair section in the back. Need a soda, a hammer and a wedding cake...no problem. I also love the diner. Yummy food and super fair prices. It felt great to grab a cheeseburger and have a seat in the dining area with other locals. As a bonus, check out the awesome vintage shopping carts! They harken to quieter days. This little gem of a store is a great place to stop in along your travels, so don't pass it by.

Yelp
Great takeout breakfast this morning at the Cotopaxi store. Two sausage patties that were outstanding. You can buy the sausage patties and homemade sausage right there at the store. They've been making it for 40 years. At $6.75 for a full breakfast it's hard to beat.

Yelp
This store has everything, literally. A truly great general store in every sense. What do you need? Dry cleaning, fishing license, wedding cake a pint of Ben and Jerry's? They have you covered. The deli/grill serves great food too. I enjoyed the veggie burger and onion rings very much. Fun hidden gem to experience.

Yelp
Nice little store with stocked shelves of essential foods and sundries. Some fresh vegetables. Great grill food and sandwiches served all day. Small hardware store is part of the place. Gas station and small inn next door. A definite locals place yet great for travelers to stop and get what you need. Owners are courteous and helpful. Great if you're camping nearby or just passing thru and want some good food!

Yelp
Cotopaxi store is awesome. What do you need?...fuel, food, t-posts, work gloves, plumbing supplies, tools, maps? They got it..I was told "if you need it, we got it, because if it was something you needed, we would have stocked it"
