It was a decent stay. Our rustic cabin was really small, not a great design, as the bed was against a wall, and the bathroom layout was cramped. It was not the cleanest, but it was good. The views were fantastic. We booked through Expedia, and the property reached out to us in advance through the Godo Property platform (via email), unlike other properties with a building number and instructions, which was really appreciated. This is an autonomous property, but they ran it like a professional business unlike others we stayed at. At the reception office there is zero waste amenities, food and cooking items left from other guests, which was nice. You can also grab towels from there for the GeoSea. This was the worst smelling water we encountered all trip, but that’s the fun of it. The hot tubs were overrated, as they would have been downhill (5 min walk in the cold) from our cabin walking in the bush. It would have been better if they provided robes.

Great place with great atmosphere. Comfortable and cozy cabins were we enjoyed our family stay and there is so many things to do that it was too short. Next time longer. Thanks

Loved our stay at Kaldbaks. The cottage was such a perfect place to land after exploring northern Iceland each day, and it is located within an hour’s drive of so many sights. The birding here is outrageous as well. Just outside the cottage we saw horned grebes, tufted ducks, greylag geese, mergansers, and even a red necked phalarope, as well as all of the black headed gulls and Arctic terns. Húsavík itself is also great for birding - you can spot guillemots and puffins on the water and the puffins and fulmars nest on cliffs nearby. I cannot recommend this place highly enough.

This is a beautiful place to stay near Husavik. The cottages are very cosy and private and have great views. It is a very peaceful place surrounded by lakes and birdsong. The pretty town of Husavik is close by with good facilities and whale watching trips.

Such a great cabin! One of my favorite stays in Iceland, with gorgeous views of the lake, ducks, and mountains across the bay. The natural geothermal hot tub was a little too hot for us to stay in it very long (42 C, whereas we prefer 39), but it was fun to try, and only steps away from our cottage. The flies were a bit annoying in the cabin: I wish the windows had screens to keep them out. But they didn't bite, and left us alone at night. The cabin was comfortable and had everything we needed to self-cater. I enjoyed the walking trails and the pretty horses on the neighboring farm.

We stayed in cabin 15 that overlooks the lake. it is an amazing view of the lake, with the fjord and snow capped mountains beyond. It is also very peaceful. The perfect place for a wind down drink after a hard day enjoying Iceland. The cabin is very nice and had all that we needed for a 2 day self catering stay. we would loved to have stayed for longer. It is an easy 2km walk, off the main road, in to Husavik. Elene, as host, was extremely helpful and friendly.

Fantastic location, great to see the northern lights, to relax and enjoy the nature. There's a hot tub although it wasn't super hot, but it felt really nice with the sunset and the view to the mountains. It is close to the lake and we could even use the small boats.
