The Cottesloe Beach Hotel

We reserved a space for 40+ people for a work lunch function. The food was great (beef or chicken) but what really stood out was the service staff. All of them were friendly and attentive. We had table service and never had to call them over or wait for a drink. Thank you CBH!

Came here on a Sunday to celebrate a friend’s birthday and had such a great experience overall. The venue was busy but still felt really well run, and a huge part of that was the security team. The security staff were genuinely friendly, approachable, and professional the whole time. They weren’t overbearing at all, but you could clearly see they were on top of things and keeping everyone safe. As a group of girls, that honestly makes such a difference — it felt comfortable, relaxed, and well managed, even as the venue filled up. They handled everything calmly and respectfully, checked in when needed, and just had really good energy overall. You could tell they were doing their jobs properly while still being kind and personable, which isn’t always the case at busy pubs. Perfect spot for a birthday celebration, especially on a Sunday session. Bar staff seemed to be under the pump and all appeared to handle the pressure very well, still had time for great customer service and great manners. very impressed with this venue and will recommend to all my family/friends

Food is very average. Salt and Pepper squid was oily and not to my liking. The chicken wings were dry and oily. The chips were okay. Relaxed atmosphere and good sound levels. Beach feel.

We loved the Cottesloe Beach Hotel - straight off the plane on a Friday afternoon the front bar was humming. A short wait and then such a lovely warm welcome from reception staff. We carried out suitcases upstairs and then to our beachfront double and a view to die for. The room was like dated but look out the window and love it. Old carpet and a bit dated bathroom but such a nice vibe with great staff, cold beer and cocktails downstairs. Great beach access with chairs and umbrellas one can take. Super cool and super nice and the noise not too bad. Great intro to Australia. Dont expect lux but if you want a great beach and chilled vibe then stay here.

Ordered a steak, requested steak knife, never came. We ordered gf calamari, told we ordered chicken wings...ummm no we didn't! Ordered and paid for 3 lemoncello spritz, paid $19 each and got drinks made of lemoncello and soda, no Prosecco as advertised. Noisy, couldn't see what was in front of us due to blinding light and staff seemed under the pump!

We had our Davey Real Estate quarterly awards at your venue last week. The staff, food, service, and location were fantastic. We all had a great time. Thank you! 🎉

I had an amazing lunch experience with my girlfriends today but it would not have been the same without Amelia’s vibrant and enthusiastic energy whilst she served our drinks. It made our whole day and what an amazing start for summer! Thank you Amelia ☀️🐚

I have never had such a terrible beef burger, DO NOT waste your money! Also a friend had the mushroom risotto and he said that was terrible too. He left most of the risotto and I left half the burger. Sorry guys the food standard needs a very big pick me up, what we had was absolutely rubbish and the service was not much better either. We had to request knives and forks and services. In short- bloody terrible, spoilt a wonderful night with family.

This place was quite good (although very loud). Our servers were attentive and the menu has a nice variety. It was MIL'a birthday so just a small party of 7. We had our young niece and nephew who are picky eaters and thankfully they had a good kids menu. My MIL got her fresh oysters and she said they were good but just very small. I shared the kingfish with my husband and it was perfectly marinated and refreshing. I ordered the market fish which happened to be grilled barramundi. It came with some pan fried greens and what appeared to be pinto beans and it was amazing. Also a side of broccoli. We also started with some fries for the table. My niece was happy with her kids pasta and marinara. My husband ordered a half chicken which he inhaled. There was a lot going on at this venue today. A big outdoor patty with a DJ was on the patio. It can be a bit overwhelming but if you are able to drown out the noise it is a nice, enormous place to dine.

LOUD bar - but a good location on a delightful beach. This area is easily accessible and definitely not a tourist trap. I took the train from the Perth airport to the beach (well, 1K from the beach). It was a quick walk, although half uphill and half downhill. The hotel is a great old building. No elevator, but easy to get around. The neighborhood has a few places to eat, but this is NOT a tourist-centric area. Across the street is a nice beach where there's a great sunset anytime the sun is out. Above the beach is a terraced area where folks come out to picnic, drink wine, and watch the sunset. The beach gets pretty windy in the afternoon. So mid-day is the best time to hit the sand. Water is very nice. The neighborhood is nice to walk around. If you're looking for a quiet place to hang out, enjoy the beach, and spend some quiet time, this is it. Quiet except . . . At check-in, the dude said I've have no trouble finding the bar because it's deafeningly loud and you can hear it from down the hall and around the corner. Because there's almost nothing else to do around there, I ate in the bar everyday and had a beer or two there every evening. It's nearly impossible to hold a conversation without yelling or going out on the patio. Around the corner, the bar also has a "club" where a young crowd comes almost every night. So if you like the younger crowd, you can always hang out with them. This is a great jumping-off place for a trip to Fremantle, Rottnest Island, Perth, and all places available via train.

My wife and I recently relocated to the other side of the world from TGSOT (i.e., "The Great State of Texas") and spent our first 10 days at the Cottesloe Beach Hotel. Staying here for our transition to Oz was one of the best decisions we've ever made! Beautiful little beach hotel a stone's throw from the Indian Ocean with a nice bar/restaurant, lovely rooms with the nicest ocean views, and convenient access to the train station. But the best part, without question, is the incredible staff! Michael, the concierge, is one the most superb human beings that we've ever met (no lie!), and he went out of his way to make our stay even better than we deserved. Sharon, the lead housekeeper, was (and likely continues to be) one of the sweetest people we've ever met, and she upheld the tradition of exceeding expectations with her exemplary service and hospitality! Cori and the rest of the bar staff served us with a smile and made our stay awesome (and Cori - you better smoke that $70 cigar that I paid six bux for in the US! Ha ha!) If you ever have the opportunity to visit Western Australia, and you don't stay here, then you're a loser and you suck. Sorry, but that's just the way it is.

Outrageously priced beer. Flat beer. I'm sure if you are a local cool person this is the place to be, but the tables weren't cleared and the service had nothing resembling a smile. My second crack at this place after a five year absence. My heart has not grown fonder

Stumbled upon this on Anzac Day after realising everything else in Perth was closed... Anyway, it was a nice accident! Very comfortable atmosphere conducive to spending much time with friends! Great range of drinks, and a very interesting menu. I had the steak and it came with some great onion rings. I'm fairly interested in going back for more even just based on the descriptions found within the menu. The staff were friendly and attentive, the wait times between ordering and service were pretty much as expected - wouldn't have been more than 15 minutes. I think it would make a nice place to stop by even for just a few drinks as local pub if you weren't wanting to eat as the setup allows for plenty of different groups to fill the space with everything being centred around it's middle bar. Give it a go!

New year's day started in style as Tom T and I headed out to the newish Cott & Co at the gorgeous Art Deco Cottesloe Beach Hotel. We skillfully arrived in that lull time between lunch and drinks, which meant we scored an ocean view table with ease. Tom had already studied the form guide and had his heart set on the oysters, amongst other things. In the end, we gorged ourselves silly on five dishes: fresh oysters for Tom, scallops for me, then we shared the whitebait, the barramundi and some delightful octopus. Topped off by interesting cocktails, it was the perfect way to see the day out. This is another establishment where there is a variety of seating: tall stools at long tables, soft fabric squares by coffee tables and standard tables and chairs. The decor mixes rustic furnishings with an abundance of fresh produce, spilling over bowls as you enter. The bar and kitchen are open to view, but opposite the crystal water of the Indian Ocean and the passers by, so there is no contest. I don't need to watch them prepare my lovely meals when I can watch the diamonds on the water as the sun dips towards the horizon. As expected, the meals are pricey and the service was a little casual. But the view and the variety on the menu makes up for it. All hail the seaside venue that serves quality seafood. I would happily return for a special occasion.

There are three main areas to "The Cott" - the large downstairs bar that has a more casual 'come and go' crowd as well as an area that hosts live music on some days/nights, when things get a bit more brash. At the back is the sun-drenched beer garden, which is the place to get amongst the Summer vibes during the warmer months. Upstairs is a mildly classier, dance-ier bar that gets a bit more 'Cafe del Mar' with house music and slightly plusher surrounds. The upstairs balcony also takes in those unparalleled Indian Ocean views. Upstairs I like. Between the scenery and the dancing it's a fun place to be late on a Sunday. Downstairs, I generally avoid. The crowd, like the floors are a little bit sticky. As for the beer garden; a great time with mates but quite variable depending on the time you go.

The Cott used to be my favourite place in the entire world. Internationally renowned Sunday session with a line up around the corner, amazing beer garden, pumping upstairs dance floor, the best Tuesday night in Perth, all with the backdrop of the sun setting over the Indian Ocean. Unfortunately those days are gone. With a recent change of ownership the Cott has shifted towards a more upscale venue, and it hasn't worked. The beer garden has been leveled and now lays bare, the upstairs dance floor is only open for functions, and the legendary Sunday session? A distant memory. Sad face. That said, the Cott is still a good pub if your aren't a party goer yearning for the olden days like me. Good bar food, live music on a number of nights and of course there is still that view. Good place for a first date. If you are looking for a big night out, look elsewhere, but for bar with good food, laid back tunes and a beautiful view, the Cott suits

The Cottesloe Beach Hotel is famous for the view from the bar's verandah. It is a popular spot for a Sunday session, sipping at a cold beer with the sun on your face with a view of the famous Cottesloe Beach. It is a chic spot whose menu and prices reflect such chic ideals. Sharing platters in the bar are very inviting but if you're hungry then wait , a platter of prawns to share costs $20 and you receive 4 prawns, not helpful if more than 4 of you are sharing. Saying that, if you are wiling to spend a few more pennies than usual, then this is the place to wind away a couple of hours and reflect on why you live where you do. There is also a Craft Beer Garden that sells local and imported beers and attracts all sorts of people.

Great spot for sunset beers! Ordered mussels which were delicious and I struggled to finish them - healthy serving size! A must-do Sunday session!!

The CBH now has three new and unique areas to attract patrons. And, all are pretty cool, just depends on the company, time of day, and your mood. I'd probably give it 4.25 stars. The quality/value of everything doesn't stack up to a 5, but a solid 4 IMO. 1. The newest is the Cott & Co Fish Bar up front. We went on opening night for dinner and it was great! The best fresh oysters in town (something very hard to find in Perth!). This is most mature venue of the three since it's about the food, then the drinks and the ocean views. 2. The Beach Club out back is awesome, great scene, sunday sesh, good people watching, fun for groups, 3 bars, and the food is good here too. Don't dress like a slob folks, keep your boardies and singlets at home for the Beach Club and wear a polo or something! 3. The Bar up front, the classic, casual beach style bar with great ocean views. This is most casual of the 3 and great for anytime of day/night. Solid food and drink here. Occasianally good music; though they seemed to have stopped to live music here. All-in-all, it's a winning venue. I hope the CBH keeps up the progress, continues to encourage and enforce service, quality and respect from all employees and patrons alike. It's not a difficult formula yet it's rare in Perth. Keep it going CBH!

I love the Cott now they have re-done the back area. It is bright, nicely set out and just in general a great place to hang out on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon. It is located right across the road from Cottesloe beach so its has some amazing views, especially from the front bar. Its usually quite busy on Sundays as they have big Sunday sessions so you need to get in early in the afternoon if you don't want to line up for too long! The food there is really good, notably the pizzas. Last time I went there I had the chilli prawn pizza and it was sooooo good, I can;t wait to go back to have it again! The outdoor area is HUGE so its a great place to have drinks with a large group of friends and the atmosphere of the place is fun and laid-back at the same time. It is a bit more expensive than your average pub but its definitely worth it!

What they've done out the back is DOPE!! What was once a baron sand pit which was formally the Cott Hotel beer garden, has been transformed into 'The Beach Club', and I highly recommend checking it out. It's loungey, spacious, indoor/outdoor options, really cool design, really cool fit out, great food and wide selection of drinks. In short they've nailed the re-development of the area and I foresee a lot of time being spent here in the summer months kicking back with friends and sipping on extremely cold and delicious beverages. Go have a look people, keen to know what others think!

Customer service was on point!!!! The best I've ever had in Perth which was refreshing. Vic was so accommodating and went above and beyond to make sure we were happy. Thanks Cott Hotel!!!!

This place I have visited MANY MANY times. One goes here for the fantastic views, to meet new people or just chill out and have a quiet beverage. The place is broken up into a few different areas, with the front bar primarily for just hanging out, checking out the local wildlife and having a feed off the bar menu with some beverage to wash it down. There's a nice little enclosed area that has table service in the middle section, access from the front bar or via the entry on the side street. Ideal for a more intimate dining experience, business lunch or group meal. The rear of the place is where it all happens on the weekend, a couple of bars, lots of seating in an open arrangement with the ability to have a private function that is able to be closed off to the public that comes complete with security. The food here is always good! variety of offerings from pizza to hearty mains and light lunches. Excellent beverage selection. Food is usually pretty quick to arrive unless the place is absolutely pumping, then a wait may be in order but that's to be expected. The kitchen can be viewed and one can see what's happening in there, so that's a bonus!

Cottesloe Beach Hotel had been evolving since the area started on the main beach road with breath taking views across the ocean and their vibrant "The Beach Club" restaurant for an anniversary lunch. Cool breeze and the smell of the sea against some truly fantastic decor/design. The restaurant/bar had spaces undercover and outside, making the most of our climate all year round. Inspired by the decor, here is a round-up of black and white, metal and yellowy goodness

It's more than just your average beach bar, it's an environment filled with an extremely fashionable bunch, great food and really chill beats. I didn't get to experience the food, but did get a good view of everyone eating calamari and chilli salted chips with Wasabi Aioli YUM! I will definitely be coming back to this venue for dinner or another sunday sesh!

On the expensive side but I quite enjoy the veiw and the beach club is nice for a little bit of sofistication.

Brilliant spot for a summer afternoon beer or wine watching the sunset. They do decent pub food, probably even better than decent. A nice place to be and service is good too. Really just how a beachside pub should be. Should be on every tourist's top ten must do in Perth - a few hours on Friday afternoon at the Cott.

It's quite obvious that the Cottesloe Beach Hotels main things are the 3 bars/restaurants they have that surround the 14 rooms they hold upstairs. We stayed in one of their beachfront rooms that I bought as a part of a weekend staycation with my bf. The rooms are simple, and a bit worn - marks on the walls, torn up leather on the foot stool on the balcony, decking doesn't go all the way to the balcony and you can see the grimy stonework underneath. Little things were amiss such as fingerprints all over the windows and cupboard too. In general, it's clear this is their 2nd priority, but it's not bad. I found it a shame that they had no link to the restaurants as well - you cant charge things up to your room or anything like that. If you're looking for a good nights sleep and you're there on a weekend then you may as well get into the spirit of things and go down to the verandah bar, because you can hear everything up in your room - it is NOISY. They can also offer you parking permits for the big parking lot down the road (Number 2 car park) which is handy. The Verandah bar had a good beer list with things like Feral Hop Hog and Nail pale ale on tap which was great. It's got a casual beach vibe but really smells like a well used pub. The Beach Club is decked out beautifully and you get a real holiday vibe from there - it reminded me of Sea Circus in Bali. The service was fine, but the beer list wasn't nearly as good as the front bar. We ordered a mixed grill from the woodfired oven and some sea salt n rosemary bread and were happy with both but not blown away - the meat was a bit dry. We didnt go into Cott & Co fish bar, but it looked beautiful.

This was a great venue for a group lunch and Perth turned the sun on for us so we could enjoy the outdoor seating and view at the beach club. I devoured a bucket of chips with spicy salt and Japanese Mayo - couldn't stop once I started! My main was the Many Grain Salad, which had juicy pomegranate scattered through - highly recommended. There's was about 11 of us, and all mains were served promptly at the same time, except for the pizza which came out a little earlier than the rest. No complaints from the group, and they are using the new mobile billing app to track your tab so you can just whip out your phone to add to your order, when buying more drinks for example.

Bar staff are fab. The mixed grill was amazingly yum. Loved the beach club beer garden and had a lovely few hours relaxing over great food and wine. Will be going back

lovely place to eat and watch the sunset whilst having a top notch meal! The decor inside is very rustic and due to the number of sharing tables, pushes the sharing theme. This is also supported by the menu that has plenty of sharers and suggested that 2/3 sides could easily feed 6 people. Online you can't really see what main's they serve as each day they change, however all good! The portions are a good size, not too small and not too big! It does however get very warm inside, not sure how comfortable it will be in the high of summer.

Been here three times now, and twice we have been disappointed. The menu is good, but the food is not great. Pizza is about as adventures as id go there. The main issue is the service in the restaurant at the beach club. It's always bad. The food never comes out together and you usually wait up to 20mins for a drink. Last night we waited almost 25 mins for a second drink, we'd already finished eating... The staff change frequently and the manager was just plain rude. This could be a great place, but the service lets it down. We get this feedback from many of our friends aswell. We won't go back again.

Great location, quality food and ice cold beer more than make up for the generally slow service. Great place for a sundowner!

Lots of beautiful people in this place. I fall in love many times when I go there. Chips are delicious and reasonably cheap. Sunday sesh is always worth visiting!

Upon arrival at this awful place I was immediately greeted by the overwhelming stench of cigarette smoke coming from both inside and outside the bar. The waitresses have appalling manners and you can almost taste the condescending contempt they have for their patrons. The seating is horrible - there are far too many tables for the amount of space that they have, and you'd better hope you don't have to use the bathroom because you'll be apologising to people for bumping into them the whole way there. They neglect to check ID when you're ordering a drink, opting instead to take the drink off you after you've already started it. They are ridiculously strict on this policy, which is weird because they seem to be very relaxed about the health code. Do NOT order a burger here, because they come out half cooked which, for a mince product, can actually cause crippling illness. Not only did they refuse to fix this atrocity, but they had the nerve to send 2 different people to our table to argue the point. Eventually, though, we got a replacement delivered to our table. Don't order pizza, either, as it is paper thin, floppy and rather bland. Considering that you can get the best truffle pizza you've ever had in your life just down the road, this is really an unacceptable thing to be happening. The drinks were rather poor, having far too much ice and not enough of the actual drink, despite fact that they cost a bit. They told us on the phone that we could bring a birthday cake, but when we got there they immediately changed our mind and were very rude to us because of it. They demand that you order their own desserts. My main problem with this is not that this seems to be the only place with this policy, but that their "desserts" are a blob of ice cream in a paper cup with an Oreo, with a wooden paddle in lieu of a spoon. Basically, don't order a burger, don't order a pizza, don't order dessert and don't talk to ANY wait staff or have picky demands about not wanting to eat potentially dangerous materials. This place was a such a terrible choice that we actually drove all the way down to Peppermint grove just to order a coffee somewhere respectable.

Nice location, especially on the street level watching the water and people stroll by. Not a bad atmosphere on a sunny afternoon, a bit hard to find a seat. I was not overly impressed with the food, the portions were tiny and not good enough quality to put such a high price on them. For a pub meal I expect more value for money. All in all though when you have a such a nice view you can get away with it.
