South Carolina Animal Sanctuary Seeks Volunteers to Cuddle Its Pigs
"The Cotton Branch Farm Animal Sanctuary has long been in the business of rescuing animals in need. According to CNN, in 2018, the sanctuary rescued 225 neglected pigs from a property in Kentucky. The sanctuary has been hard at work finding new homes for the pigs over the last two years and has successfully placed 75 of them in loving environments. However, the remaining animals all need a bit more time in the sanctuary to develop relationships with humans before they are ready for new homes. So, they're calling on the public to come volunteer and cuddle these piggies to help them get ready for forever homes sooner." - Travel + Leisure Editors
My daughter and I visited today. It was an awesome experience. I never realized pig’s hair feels like broom bristles. The guy running the place (I’m horrible with name) told us lots of interesting facts and stories about his pigs. Will definitely go back!

The tour was amazing. Animals are well taken care of and super friendly. I got to feed most of the animals and it was essentially a personal tour because I was the only one that showed up. They offer one-time and monthly donations as well so if you visit, you can choose which animal/animals you would like to sponsor. Overall, a great place that takes care of animals humans obtained for selfish reasons and simply abandoned when they’re tired of them.

This is an experience that will change your perception of farm animals for life! Not only are you able to meet and pet these lovely sentient beings, but you will get such a rich history of these animals and the mission of this farm sanctuary. The people here love their work and their passion shines through. It's a great way to spend a Saturday- easy drive from Fort mill, SC (Charlotte area0 or Charleston for that matter. Book a tour and you won't regret it. I highly recommend a visit. Plus Columbia has fantastic plant based restaurants so you can take your tour and then have a lovely meal afterwards.

Cotton Branch Farm Animal Sanctuary is an amazing place, run by people who know what they're doing. They will not sacrifice their ethics and will always do what is best for the animals and the Sanctuary. I'm proud to be a monthly sponsor to help with all the expenses. Go check them out. You will meet great people and a lot of wonderful animals.

This is an ALL ANIMALS sanctuary. A forever home for neglected and abused animals. Jan the director is a sweet and caring woman. You can schedule a tour to meet and feed the animals. I suggest bringing fruit and veggies with you to give the animals. They loved apples, carrots, kale, bananas and strawberries. Also, this place depends on donations, so I would contribute if you're able to.

I visited the sanctuary last weekend for a workday. We helped put in a new fence for the goats.
I had a great time helping out and really loved the being part of a group of wonderful people who love animals. I look forward to another visit.
