Cotton Court, Lubbock (Lubbock, Texas) Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"Not a renovated courtyard motel but a purpose-built courtyard-style boutique hotel, Cotton Court is the work of the savvy Texas-based Valencia Hotel Group, and is by a considerable distance the most stylish hotel in Lubbock. It’s set a mile from the Texas Tech campus, and close to the nightlife-centered Depot District. The rooms are contemporary and quasi-urban in style, though with plenty of West Texas character, and the suites are not just larger but more decadent, with freestanding tubs and cozy velour sofas. Midnight Shift, the restaurant and bar, is a lively local fixture, and the hotel features live music and plentiful outdoor lounge space." - Tablet Hotels

My wife and I stayed here for two days in late August on a car trip through West Texas. We enjoyed it here very much. It has features not commonly found such as fire pits in the courtyard outside of the guest rooms, and several guests congregated each night in the courtyard area to enjoy the Lubbock evening breezes. We liked that feature. The rooms are comfortable, with full size 1950-style white refrigerators in each room. It was quiet each night and we slept well. It was definitely West-Texas themed and peaceful. The on-site restaurant, Midnight Shift, has great food and service. Kudo's to our server, Cheyenne, who was just so nice. Large outdoor pool with plenty of chairs and shade, nice staff and car valets. All in all, a wonderful 2 night stay.

Painfully average hotel at best. First off, the lobby area is nice and inviting. The restaurant, “The Midnight Shift”, has luck luster food with very slow service to accompany it. I experienced this twice with two separate menu items, two separate servers, and on two separate occasions. Next, the rooms are quaint are nice with some character and a nice added benefit of a moderately sized fridge that is stocked with usual sodas and alcoholic beverages. The bathroom layout is abysmal and offers zero privacy from the rest of the room. It features a barn style door and does not enclose any moisture, noise and/or smell from the bathroom whatsoever. Beds and pillows were fine and were comfortable enough. Additionally, the pool is a complete waste of time. Online they advertise a resort style pool which is heated for your comfort. The pool is nowhere near resort sized and it definitely wasn’t heated. The pool in my HOA is bigger than the pool at the Cotton Court Hotel. The only worthwhile amenity of the pool is the bar. Lastly, the location can definitely be considered sketchy at night. Lock your car, take your valuables and just make good decisions. I give it 3/5 stars only because it truly is the only hotel like it in Lubbock, TX apart from your usual chain hotels.

Let me just start off by saying I’ve stayed at MANY hotels and I honestly don’t often write reviews for them: TOP MARKS - all categories. This property is unique fun and so incredibly well done. Rooms are awesome. The courtyard is so fun and above all the staff wow. Go to the bar in the restaurant and ask for James Bond (yes that’s literally his legal name) if he’s not there you could ask for Shawn, or Bekah or Nick or the venerable Trent. They all rock. I felt like family with the level of customer service provided. Food is stellar and drinks are perfect. Or if you need something else just ask Cesar he’s the bomb. But it goes beyond the bar - the housekeeping is conscientious and extremely thorough. Front desk and valet as well as management receive top marks as well. We found a gem in Lubbock and we will be returning.

This is such a great hotel! Comfy beds, great staff, good security, nice restaurant, large courtyard with many seating areas around fire pits, pool, live bands and just overall relaxation. Very family friendly atmosphere with the feel of an upscale resort. We have been several times and will always stay there while in Lubbock!

We loved our stay at Cotton Court. A beautiful hotel, great atmosphere, comfortable beds, and the most accommodating staff. The rooms were well thought out, and we loved the Smeg fridge. Snacks and drinks were well stocked in the room. We will always stay here when in Lubbock.

This place has so much potential and many pros and cons. It has a beautiful, well landscaped courtyard, pool and lovely places to sit outside. However, the air conditioning units are so loud it is not very enjoyable sitting out there. The rooms are huge and the beds are comfortable. We stayed in room 141 directly in front of the pool. Non of the windows open and we had no view, but if the AC units were not so loud it would have been nice sitting outside. There is the $18 destination fee which will be credited by the front desk IF you eat or drink at the restaurant. The meals at the restaurant are tiny portions. Overall, I felt the price of the room and the meals were overpriced.

Google
Check-in was a pleasant experience! The complimentary waters and beers were a thoughtful and much-appreciated touch. The hotel’s location is convenient, and the overall atmosphere is inviting, with a charming courtyard, live music, a pool, and a comfortable seating area. The bar is a nice spot to relax, and the food is decent. The room itself had a cozy aesthetic and was generally comfortable. However, cleanliness left something to be desired. There were noticeable issues such as hair on the shower floor and visible dust in multiple areas, which detracted from the experience. See the attached pictures. While there were no major concerns, a higher standard of cleanliness would be expected given the rate. In addition, while the hotel is dog-friendly, which is appreciated, the designated areas for walking dogs were unfortunately not well-maintained. The presence of pet waste in these spaces made them unpleasant to use. One would expect a dog-friendly property to uphold a higher level of cleanliness in shared outdoor areas. I understand prices may surge during busy times like graduation, but at $500 per night, expectations naturally rise, especially regarding basic housekeeping standards. While I wasn’t expecting a luxury experience like the Ritz (this is Lubbock after all), cleanliness is a fundamental aspect of any hotel stay. Overall, I’m giving 3 stars. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the amenities and atmosphere were enjoyable.

I stayed here one other time a couple of years ago and was very impressed with my room, but this time, I'm extremely disappointed. I arrived after driving over six hours and was utterly exhausted. I get in my room, and the first thing I notice is the lack of cleanliness. There were little black things & hair on the bed spread, stains on the couch (I didn't want to sit on it) and the bathroom floor had dirt near the toilet area. Also, the bathroom counter had fingerprints on it. I then went to take a shower because I remembered last time, the water pressure was awesome, well, not this time. It barely trickled out and it took forever to wash the soap & shampoo off. I was too tired to complain & change rooms, so I'm stuck in an obviously dirty room for the night. I'm glad I brought my own disinfecting wipes, so I could at least clean the counter, remote control and bedside table. Clearly the maids are in a hurry and doing a quick tidying up instead of a full fledged clean. The next morning, I tried making a cup of coffee, only to discover the plug in the bathroom doesn't work when I tried plugging the coffee maker in. Oh, add another plug is out next to the bed along with the light. :(

Yelp
Cute and comfortable stay is what to expect at this hotel! The courtyard common and pool areas are perfect to enjoy the outdoors. The rooms are spacious, clean, nicely decorated and comfortable. The fridge is stocked with drinks and a basket of snacks are available for purchase. The Midnight Shift restaurant is on-site which had a great selection of food and drinks. This hotel is perfect for families or for a couples/friend's getaway.

Yelp
Stayed at the Cotton Court Hotel over Mother's Day Weekend which also coincided with graduation. This hotel is part of the Valencia Group which include some of my favorite hotels in San Antonio and San Diego. This hotel is a bit more casual with an open faced courtyard. Not only did they have valet parking but there is plenty of street parking around. Lobby is right across from the restaurant and pool area with plenty of seating around. I must say though the valet team was so friendly and were always able to bring out our cars within 5-10 minutes. The restaurant itself had an ample sized bar and damn were their old fashioneds delicious. I also was impressed to see fernet branca on their menu. With the number of rooms here, I never waited for more than a few minutes to get a drink. Sadly I didn't have the chance to enjoy the pool, but it was very well maintained with plenty of lounge chairs. It is a family friendly hotel, so just be aware there are some kids (though not many) that were staying here. What I really enjoyed about the courtyard was all the open space and lounge areas. My family and I had rented out one of their event rooms for a law school graduation party for my brother which turned out super nice. We were allowed to go in and set-up during the day which was nice. The only thing to keep in mind is that the rooms are not soundproof, so the party next to us having a dj blaring their sounds definitely rolled over into our space. So much so that we didn't even bother trying to play our own music. I think this should be handled better, especially when minimum spends are required. The food and staff working though were nice. We did have to ask for staff to pick-up dirty plates and glassware as they weren't initially but it was smooth sailing after that. Now my room was the 5-star experience. Obsessed with the style of the room and decor. The vintage fridge was so well curated and there was space to put in leftovers. I also appreciate you could adjust the fridge to fit other things without an "automatic" charge. The king size bed came with a full sized couch, smart tv to bluetooth your music, desk, armoire, full walk-in shower, and it was a true safe haven. I totally recommend staying in the main building which had more of a true hotel feel. The courtyard rooms were open facing. Overall it was a decent stay but I do believe outside high-demand weekends it makes sense this hotel goes for around $200 a night compared to the $400 a night when we went.

Yelp
This was the best place to rest after a long travel day. Extremely clean, comfortable, and quiet. Perfect!

Yelp
Loved this hotel!! I was driving across the country and my sister was staying here on business in the presidential suite with an extra bed!! I lucked out. I loved the decor, style, and vibe here! Not sure what the price point is, but I can tell you it's worth it. Great soaps, shampoo, and conditioner! Loved the bathrooms, and the free postcards! I will be back! The restaurant was great too!!

Yelp
Great place to stay. I love the outdoor courtyard with lots of areas to visit in hammocks, by the fire pits, at the pool cabana, or while playing corn hole. The restaurant is excellent and has a fun vibe with outdoor seating too. They had a great band playing in the courtyard in the evening and our group really liked that too!! The pool is very small unfortunately. It was crowded so we didn't get to swim as we had planned.

Yelp
The Cotton Court is a wonderful place to stop when you're on a long trip like from South Texas to Colorado or New Mexico or something like that it's a very nice hotel and it's nice and quiet and it's dog friendly. You have dogs food good it's very pretty people are kind and I just find it to be a delightful hotel I've been twice and it's very good service and my dog feels at home there

Yelp
The Cotton Court hotel on site restaurant the midnight shift has shifted down to double low. Until recently, it was an awesome destination, dining location however, they have replaced the chef I need just now just basic burgers, no ambience and sadly disappointing. Highly suggest to check out one of the nearby restaurants for a more extensive menu and elevated dining experience

Yelp
Wonderful place to stay! Very clean, comfortable, and an awesome outside court yard. It is also pet friendly. The staff is very accommodating.

Yelp
This review is from my stay 1 year ago, I originally reviewed on google but want to sure here as well because my stay was that fantastic! Let's start off with "wow". Stefan greeted me at the front door, opened it for me then checked me in, extremely friendly, talkative and just all around welcoming. This place is beautiful, very nice and the staff are insanely friendly. I stayed with my family which includes my 10 year old and my 5 month old. It was quiet and respectful all night which isn't so common with hotels. Most importantly it was CLEAN. Everything was clean. From the counter to the table, the couch the sheets. So impressive. The beds were oh so comfy, the pillows like clouds, the comforter thick but soft and plushy. Aside from that, the price was perfect. In fact, they could charge a whole lot more with out question for their service and cleanliness and comfortability. All around an amazing stay. Thank you cottoncourt for making my family comfortable and keeping things so clean.

Kallie B.

Yelp
The whole place is an incredible little vibe. We truly have enjoyed our times there. It's a great half way place for us going and coming from Colorado.

Yelp
Elated to say, the charge process has been refined, service remains exquisite & Gus ensured everything went smoothly. Thank you for your revision & attention paid to guest requests! I feel this above & beyond service recovery!

Melhaine G.

Yelp
Hotel is fantastic love the retro look with the modern comforts. Fully stocked fridge and snacks if you wish to purchase. Court yard has plenty of meeting areas with fire pits games and pool. So neat. We are breakfast this morning and had the inlet with potatoes and truffle oil and the eggs Benedict. It was the best breakfast we have had in a very long time. This place is worth every penny. Parking is limited and only the drawback. Personnel is outstanding and friendly.

Yelp
I love the hotel it was very very very nice and everything seem to be cleaned I didn't inspected but very nice

Nick C.

Yelp
This was my second time at Cotton Court and the last. On the positive side, the rooms are decent and have a fun vibe. The outdoor areas are relaxing and if you have a dog, there are plenty of places to walk around and play. However, I strongly suggest that you DO NOT use valet parking. A pair of expensive sunglasses were stolen from my car. On top of that, we were charged for minibar usage that didn't happen. When we complained, there was no response from management. Overall this could be a great place but hiring a staff that steals from customers and managers that back it up is unacceptable. I doubt I'll stay at any of the properties if this is how they are managed. ***UPDATE*** Someone named "Gus" on Yelp reached out and asked me to send them an email. They didn't leave an email to contact them with, so I added a ".com" to the end of what looked like a partial email address. I sent an email to help with more information. The email bounced. So it looks to me like responding on Yelp is just to look good when management isn't actually interested in improving.

Yelp
Amazing!!! Beautiful design of the place and the rooms. Heated pool , small restaurant and bar. Visit the bar at your own gamble bc if it's a bad band night you'll need earplugs to ignore another bad singer. The staff outside the restaurant/bar are on point. Big thanks to " Shaelyn" I apologize if I spelled your name incorrectly. Big white soft robes, in room large fridge w/ all kinds of good booze. Snack basket for kids too. Soft Sealy brand mattress but fairly firm. A fair amount of attention to detail and convenience went into the room designs. Ice locker right outside rooms . Good WI-FI. Large shower with bench. Hot water yes!!! Fireplaces in the main room and outside court, valet and a sand pit for volleyball and ground games like bag toss, etc. an elevator, cabin like exterior walls very manly but a few soft touches for the ladies. Nice view of the court below if you stay upstairs. They need to dismiss band set up on more crowded events in town bc it prohibits guests from getting a meal or drink in their restaurant/bar. I mentioned it nicely so we'll see if they agree. They lost a lot of money on the restaurant/bar that college graduation night but probably recovered some on the room charges. Still it's a nice place just don't count on enjoying the restaurant/bar. For the room price they should give a free or discounted breakfast. Enjoy

Yelp
stayed 2 weeks only employes good where the i think manage with long hair and a bread and dae dae they tried to steal our pillows we purchased mid stay at a walmart and stole my mothers phone charge and mine please keep your items with you if you stay here clearly the staff has some sticky hands

Yelp
Worst experience of my life. Just arrived into town - have a reservation at this hotel. Went to check in - front doors locked no one at the front desk - "check in is 24/7". Waited at the front doors for 20+ minutes knocking, calling their number. Currently trying to find a new hotel. Do not stay here.

Yelp
What a awesome Botique Hotel. We came here because we stayed at the Lone Star in Austin so we picked a same brand hotel in Lubbock. The atmosphere is great! Family friendly! Fire pits everywhere! Rooms are a good size. Enjoyed the sitting area in the room. Restaurant was nice. Had a live band and nice big fireplace. It was too cold to enjoy the pool but looked awesome. The lobby was beautiful with great decor. Definitely will be back.

Yelp
Literally loved this hotel so much. We were on a crazy rushed mission so didn't get to enjoy it quite as much as we'd have liked but seriously. So cute, so chill and cozy. Tons of little amenities that just made the hotel super unique and a good place to land while traveling. The pool, outdoor fireplace, big Jenga game, the restaurant and really just everything made the hotel different and fun. The grounds are lit up super pretty at night and there are little waterfall areas that make even just walking around really beautiful and relaxing. A bunch of high school kids were there for prom and I was so jealous they had such an awesome place to go for prom. If we head back to Lubbock for another concert we would stay here again 10/10!!! Also dog friendly and our pups loved it as much as we did!

Yelp
I was impressed to see a chic little downtown hotel in Lubbock. This was a great little hotel and overall it was a very positive stay. I am a little more critical here than normal as I travel a lot for business and stayed in a bunch of hotels. 1. The room was very cute. The old fashioned fridge stocked with everything you need was awesome. The look and feel of the room was chic and was really cool. The function was not good. No real place for suitcases. No drawers. The armoire/closet was in the bathroom. No lock on bathroom door(I hat that). Towel hook was far from shower. Vanity mirror was useless. Bed was great and everything works. 2. Service - I thought everyone was very friendly and helpful. They brought a roll away bed quickly. We did a lunch on site and serving team was great. Bartenders at restaurant were awesome!! Can't say enough great things! 3. Amenities- the pool was great with an awesome little extra bar. The individual seating areas with fire pits was really cool. You could set up a new spot each night. There are lots of out door games like cornhole. A real fun hang together and chill vibe. They have good live music On weekends. Restaurant was pretty solid, and we had breakfast and frequented the bar. In general is was a very good stay and will go back and would recommend. But like many things in Lubbock missed a few details, like I mentioned on the rooms, only one elevator in the main building, parking was a bit strange and bad flood control when it rains. Still worth the stay for sure and we will be there next time we go back!

Yelp
Excellent hotel! We had a board retreat here. Staff, food, rooms very nice. The staff is exceptional!! Hard working, eager to please people. Rooms are large with a great retro feel. Comfortable bed with super great pillows. Board room is great. Quiet, easy to access! Dinner was in the banquet room with fantastic food!! The pecan crusted cheesecake was my favorite! Our board was so impressed with the Cotton Court! We will be back!

Yelp
Decided to take a shot and stay a night at this hotel in the downtown area. Close enough to Tech (only a mile or so away -it's a straight shot down Broadway). The property itself is clean, well-managed, really really charming - the staff is excellent, very comfortable. If I'm rating the hotel I'm giving it 5 stars for the hotel (absolutely!!), but let's face it - Lubbock has a homeless problem and it's quite unsafe to walk very far away from this property without running into a few "locals". Travel outside in groups if you can.

Yelp
My husband and I had a few friends in town staying here so we decided to try this local hotel opening weekend. The Cotton Court is the newest property in the Texas Valencia Group chain. We've heard good things about their properties, so we were excited to see what they offered for west Texas flare. For opening weekend, they did a stellar job. There are rooms with exterior doors facing the courtyard. We stayed in an internal room. The room was clean and the 100% cotton linens and bed were comfortable. The two robes were incredible quality. We didn't see an in-room coffee maker, but we aren't coffee drinkers and it looks like they have one planned because they have disposable coffee cups and mugs. The "mini-bar" snacks were on point. We couldn't resist the late night chips and salsa. The decor was simple, yet thoughtful and reflective of west Texas. The courtyard is fabulous with many different places to hang out; pool, fire pits, plenty of seating, picnic benches, fireplaces, outdoor music, corn hole, giant jenga. They hosted the after game party (TT v UT). The restaurant is not open yet, but we will definitely return to check it out and enjoy drinks in the huge courtyard. This place is definitely worth trying if you're in Lubbock!

Yelp
What a find! Nice hotel with beautiful grounds. The staff was incredibly friendly, the rooms were clean, and the price was right. Plus, it is within walking distance to restaurants, breweries, and nightclubs. Thank you for making my stay in the Hub City a memorable one!

Yelp
Very pleasantly surprised at the cool factor of this hotel. We had a ground floor room by the pool and courtyard and it was so nice. The layout creates a resort community atmosphere. The manager and front desk staff were super nice and very accommodating. I highly recommend the Cotton Court.
google avatar

Nick C.

Yelp
Not sure how anyone could give anything but 5 stars.. deserves 6 stars really. The courtyard is supercool. So many comfy chairs w proper fire & water elements to enjoy. Bed is amazing. All the decorations are spot on & the staff was on point. We had a fantastic time!

Bill J.

Yelp
Great place to stay nice staff not far from tech or the depot district reasonably priced good amenities
google avatar

Daniel T.

Yelp
Charming, retro updated decor. Built like a historic motor court with very pleasant and friendly staff. The restaurant has an amazing American breakfast which I highly recommend adding a pancake as well making it a great way to start the day of travel. Best place we have stayed in years.

Jennifer J.

Yelp
This was the best place to stay in Lubbock! The vibe is perfect! It's different than other hotels and i love that! The room was absolutely perfectly fashioned in the coolest retro style. It had everything we needed. The amenities were like no other and the price couldn't be beat. We will be booking the hotel again and again!
google avatar

Melissa S.

Yelp
Probably the coolest hotel spot in Lubbock. However guest parking is very limited as the hotel restaurant is quite popular and much of the parking seems to be taken up by that. The management should have signage outlining overnight guest parking. When we got to our room there was previous guests' food still in the fridge and a giant pile of sheets and blankets sitting out on the bed. We did eat at the restaurant and the food and cocktails were awesome. Overall a really comfy fun space.

Katy T.

Yelp
The facility is great, courtyard is awesome, rooms are a cool retro-industrial vibe and staff is very friendly and helpful. Parking, however, is not great. I travel frequently and this is the first hotel I've stayed that does not have enough parking spots for the number of guest rooms. Parallel parking on the street is an option but not enough spots there, either. During dinner hours non-guests come to eat at the restaurant (which also has great food and drinks), but this creates even more of a parking issue.
google avatar

Amanda S.

Yelp
The hotel is great! We love it! But this is the 2nd time we have stayed at this location and the restaurant won't serve food past 9:40 even though their hours say they serve until 10:00pm on Friday and Saturday nights. We stayed here in February when there was no one here and couldn't get food past 9:30 and today when it's busy and they stopped at 9:40. Any restaurant I've been to will serve up until the time they close the kitchen. Don't expect to pull in from driving out of town for hours and expect to be fed.

Yelp
Found this hotel by searching Yelp & Google while on a road trip and so glad I did! Checked in at night and left early in the morning so apologies for no daylight pics. But I cannot stress enough how amazing this hotel is. The bed was comfortable. Everything is clean! The decor is trendy, comfortable & minimal. Location is on the right side of the interstate. The COURTYARD has a wood burning fireplace and a fire pit, pool area, string lights and numerous seating areas. Only blocks away from student housing and restaurants. A previous review mentioned the homeless population so wanted to speak to our experience-we saw none near the hotel and only 3 individuals, sporadically, closer to the hot restaurant spot about half a mile away-none by the hotel and we felt absolutely safe at all times. There are many office buildings/businesses nearby. Walking into the front lobby and experiencing the ambiance, we knew we made the right choice. Tyler at the front desk was fantastic!

Olivia J.

Yelp
Very cute hotel but the food wasn't great. It was in a bar, so expect bar food. Did like the room and the service was great. Btw, self parking is a block away (valet only available on weekends) and it was raining so that's something to consider as well.

James Riley M.

Yelp
Turn down service leaves much to be desired. Staff is less than friendly or willing to help. Had no hot water for entire stay.
google avatar

mike W.

Yelp
The Cotton Court still has that new hotel smell. Nice design, huge courtyard and the rooms were great. The elevator wasn't working but a nice staff member walked our bags all the way around and upstairs. Unfortunately during the current pandemic I did not feel safe with my family. 3 of the 4 staff cleaning the rooms were not wearing masks. The mask signs posted in reception were not enforced and I watched maskless guest after maskless guest pick over the breakfast options.
google avatar

Heather B.

Yelp
Great hotel. Loved the inside courtyard and band. Could have more TVs outside besides 1. Rooms are cute! Beds could be little more comfortable my husband and I had sore backs. Water pressure in shower is awesome! Bath towels were plush but left lint on your body. We will be back and hope they work out the small kinks!

Lisa D.

Yelp
We stayed here a couple of weeks ago as a family as we were visiting Tech - my son wants to become a Red Raider. We stayed two nights and after the cleaning staff came to clean, my husbands PJs went missing. We checked everywhere and they were nowhere to be found - he left them hanging in the restroom. We called the front desk and they didn't seem to care very much. Upon checking out, I inquired again about the missing PJs - all I got was "that's weird". I was told they would follow-up but nothing! I hate it because if my son ends up at Tech we will not be returning to this hotel. That's weird" is all you have to say? We paid over $400 for the weekend and couldn't even get a call. "That's weird"!

Ayse I.

Yelp
NOT ONE MASK!! Front desk had noses out other staff didn't have masks at all. On the good side hotel is very cute and the grounds are nice.

B B.

Yelp
Great establishment! I highly recommend this hotel. I normally stay at Marriott but when I'm in a town that has a Valencia hotel I always stay there. Great restaurant too. Great rooms and great customer service.

Christy G.

Yelp
Had several members of extended family stay here recently due to being in town for a funeral. This place was amazing and the staff was awesome especially the front desk staff. Will definitely recommend and will have family and friends stay there again.

Kaybird85 ..

Yelp
Had we been told that the courtyard and pool area of the hotel is a live amplified country music venue until 10PM we would have stayed somewhere else. Had we known this hotel provides about 15 parking spaces for its hundreds of guests and everyone else is expected to park on the street or in an unsecured parking garage a block away we would not have stayed here. Decor is trendy and comfortable but for us it doesnt make up for the fact that we came here to sleep. Which we hope to do as soon as the music ends. Cannot hear the TV...we should have been told. I bet they have quieter rooms.

Momoftwo R.

Yelp
We visited with friends who were staying here and we thought the new hotel was very nice. It was decorated in Texas decor and so that made it different than your typical hotel. My big issue is that they advertise that they wear masks and sanitize, but 3 out of 4 staff were not wearing masks. Customers were not wearing them either. Lubbock is having a significant Covid problem still and I think they should wear them.

Laura P.

Yelp
We stayed at the Cotton Court Hotel while passing through on our way to Austin. We are so happy to have found this gem! Everything is brand new and has a industrial/modern farmhouse look. The beds were comfortable and the room was clean and had everything we needed. The hotel has a fun vibe with a beautiful pool and lots of outdoor spots to hang out and relax with a beverage including multiple fire pits, fountains, and games like corn hole. We ordered room service from the restaurant (Bacon cheeseburger, fries and 7up cake) which was delicious! We definitely recommend this hotel and will stay again if we are ever back this way!

We made same day reservations as we decided last minute to take a road trip with no real itinerary and we contemplated staying another night bc the hotel was so cute. The green space is awesome, everyone was so friendly and the rooms were spacious and clean. Loved that the fireplace by the restaurant was still roaring in the morning when I went to let the dogs out at sunrise, ambiance is top notch. We were only there for a handful of hours before we hit the road again but it was great

Yelp
We've stayed several times in the suites and in deluxe rooms. This hotel is long on style, facilities are lovely and fun, well stocked Smeg refrigerator in rooms is fun touch, beds are comfortable, bathrooms are large, location is excellent, towels are big and soft and bathrobes are very nice. The downsides: the hotel is short on attention to detail and short on service. The staff is not particularly gracious or welcoming, with the exception of one young man on the front desk yesterday. We have stayed here approximately six times. The phones have never worked, not a single time or single stay have we been able to call the front desk or the operator. There are no extra hangers in the closet, so it's not possible to hang one's clothing on the clothes racks. Little things are noticeable. The television screen has a permanent message referring to room 101 "beadroom" rather than bedroom. We asked for extra pillows with the reservation. They were not in the room. I went to the front desk and was able to get one and the young man said he would bring me another but he never did. There is no valet service. There is no Bellman service. Parking is very scarce and difficult. We decided not to leave the hotel for dinner and had dinner delivered so that we would not lose our parking space. The hotel was built quickly and is missing some details. In our current room, the barn door leading into the bathroom will not stay closed, and bottom rails were never installed on that door. There is a nice vanity but no vanity stool or mirror except directly over the sink. Accordingly, only one person at a time can be grooming with a mirror - And if that's happening, no one else in the room can get to the sink to brush their teeth or wash their hands. It seems that the designers thought about how the room would look: cute, trendy and upscale but not how it would actually work. Certainly for these prices, one should expect very friendly, courteous and impeccable service. That does not occur here. The first time I came, I felt like checking me in was a troublesome task for the staff. At this point, I don't know that I would return to this hotel. It would depend on availability of other facilities.

Yelp
I don't really like writing bad reviews cause I tend to let things go but not in this case. In a nutshell the water pressure in the shower was a joke and their barn door idea won't keep the door closed. The front desk made me feel belittled the times I had questions. Be sure they remember to give you a placard so you don't get your car towed cause their parking lot gets filled quickly especially on the weekends. I believe the restaurant is open to the public so it's get questionable on parking. You'll have to park elsewhere and hope the garage elevator works since you have to park on the 3rd and 4th floor. The pool wasn't available due to an incident. Then during my stay I was given maybe a 12hour noticed that they were going to cut off the water after 10 for the remainder of the night to upgrade their water softener system. This was an obvious sign this was planned ahead and scheduled. I understand some things are it is what it is but I was never given a notice about it when I checked in. Almost like they didn't want to tell me in fear I'd go elsewhere. So no water for the rest of the night. For the money I had to pay or you may have to pay you may find better "experiences" elsewhere cause I got nothing that they described here. There were many little things that were a bit frustrating. And also never knew about a Valet service till I looked on their website to write this review.

Yelp
We stayed here previously during the Christmas holidays and had a wonderful experience. I am here now and it's the complete opposite. I have a critically ill parent who is probably not long for this earth. I have dealt with extremely loud partiers when I called the front desk they tell me they told them three times to be quiet. They continue to scream and I don't mean talk loud I mean scream. The parking is abysmal they do not have enough parking for the amount of rooms they have so I was forced to park at least a half a block away at the restaurant and walk in frigid temperatures. To say I won't be back is an understatement. I love the room and the decor is on point, but this is unacceptable! Not everyone is here to party! Some people are here possibly mourning the death of someone, or on business, perhaps have a baby sleeping, etc, and need a good nights rest. Which is what I paid for. The front desk is responsive verbally, but nothing gets done!! I keep hearing "we've told them 3 times!" The noise is still ongoing and I may very well have to pack my $hit and go to another hotel at 10pm at night 11pm Florida time. Not happy!
