This place is a solid 4/5. I got the daily special and it was pretty good not spectacular but I would definitely eat here again. I sat about 10 minutes before a waitress came over but once she took my order the food came fast. All entrees include a one trip salad bar which is nice. The star of the show is their cantaloupe water drink. I got 2 of them it was so good. Price was amazing… I got the daily special a trip to the salad bar and 2 cantaloupe drinks for $15. Very clean restaurant and very friendly staff. Definitely recommend

Was there about 10 years ago and they had the best salsa. Mom had to ask several times if they had any other salsa and finally they brought out the best salsa we ever had in our lives. I don't know if they keep it for preferred regular customers, or if they still use the same homemade salsa, but ask for it. It's 🔥🔥🔥

Grate place to eat! Ms Irma was a nise lady. Welcomed us and helped us with superior service. This is a must if you want to eat and not break the piggie bank! Steak was sizzle

Everything was great, food delicious, service wonderful and the atmosphere is friendly, and home. The menudo was really good, (spicy if you like spicy 😀). We were told that most things are spicy, so if you can't have spicy like my wife, always best to ask or they will ask you. The price was great! $47 and some for change and we had Menudo, pork chop, eggs, bacon, pancake, toast, chicken fried steak, coffee and a juice. We will come back again sometime for lunch and hopefully bring guest. In all excellent place for breakfast. Don't forget to leave a tip❤️👍🏽

The food is pretty good. It is sometimes too noisy and gets annoying, but that doesn't keep me from coming back. Today, I tried the pork chops. They were tasty but a little too tough for my taste.

This establishment was recommended by a few friends. Sometimes when you get the chips and salsa and that is good you expect the food to be that good. I got a Mexican plate to sample various items. The Enchilada was good. I also liked the Chile Relleno. The rice and beans were ok. The only issue was the tamal. It had an interesting flavor but it was crumbly. It was dry, it needed more moisture. The taco was good. If I had ordered the taco plate I would have been satisfied. On certain items you get a trip to the salad bar. The salad bar is not big but you get some prepared salads like chicken or tuna salad. I will go back and try other items. They are open late during the week and on Sunday they close at 2:00. Try it for yourself. It is far from town but it does not need to advertise. Sometimes there is a line to get a table. There are plenty of tables and still there is a line to get in.

They serve Breakfast all day. Big plus in my book. Had porkchops and eggs. Pefectly cooked to my liking. Hot sauce was homemade and hot, just the way it should be. Friend ordered the ribeye steak and eggs for 8.99, repeat 8.99. It was a generous portion steak that would cost 20.00 or more anywhere else. Cooked medium rare on the dot. Other buddy ordered two fajita burritos thinking they were small for so cheap. Nope, not at all. They were big. He added queso on top. Locked in my favorites abd returning as soon as possible. Ok so the food is just ok. But we only ordered the American fair. I'll have to try the Mexican fair But the salsa is one of the best salsas I've had. It was a bit too spicy for me but the flavor was so good I was burning my mouth eating it. I bought two jars to go!! Come get this salsa you won't regret it!!

Fast service.. Sat down and got drinks and chips and salsa right away. I had beef taquitos and salad. I thought it was plain - no guac just sour cream. Rice and refried beans were good. Hubby had chile relleno, taco and cheese enchiladas. They had a small salad bar, everything was fresh. Friendly service. I would give it a five if the food would've been more flavorful

Excellent speedy service! Nice little hidden gem in Clint. When we sat down we were immediately given a basket of chips and a nice spicy salsa. Salad bar is full of fresh well prepared items ranging from macaroni salad, fruit, lettuce with lots of toppings and dressings. Portions were good and all of the food tasted fresh. I had red enchiladas and the sauce was good with a nice bit of heat. Rice and beans were fresh. We got Capirotada on the house and it was delicious. Impressed by a lady who seemed to be the owner also jumping in to help bus tables and check on customers. Overall very nice place for an afternoon lunch.

I have two favorite Mexican Plates in the whole world and Cotton Eyed Joe's serves one of them. I have family in El Paso and when I'm here, I pig out on Mexican food. In my opinion, El Paso and New Mexico have the best! Cotton Eyed Joe's is full of local farmers, workers and law enforcement daily. Very few will care about my review, they know good food! Still, there are a few motels with travelers that may not be familiar with Cotton Eyed Joe's. They have something for everyone. You want Mexican food, a steak or a hamburger. They've got it. It's really hard to go wrong here. There is nothing special about the ambiance, just a lot of tables and good food! Even though their chicken fried steak looks heavenly, I seldom am able to pass up the Mexican plate! I get my three favorites; Taco, Enchilada and Chile Relleno. And it comes with a trip to the salad bar! The taco is my favorite. The shell is fried and it is filled with plain ground beef. No taco seasoning! That's the way I like it! The enchilada is also really good. They use a thick and slightly spicy enchilada sauce that's really good! I like onions with mine. The chile relleno is also exceptional. It is stuffed with a lot of cheese and uses Hatch chile. They will cover it in a slightly sweet tomato sauce upon request. That's the way I like it! While there, we noticed a lot of steaks coming out. It turned out that the Rib-eye and a baked potato were the special. Add their pretty complete salad bar and you've got a Texas meal that's hard to beat! While we were dining, one of the severs made her way around offering their patrons a small bowl of pineapple with whipping cream as dessert. I thought that was a nice touch. Yes, this is the place. I can't imagine not finding something to enjoy!

Nice joint off the 10 near El Paso. Chili rellenos were delicious and the caldo de res that came with it was equally delicious. The tamales were a good compliment to the over easy eggs and frijoles. Biscuit was meh. I'd go for the toast.

The food is great AND cheap! Chilaquiles were spicy and tasty. Best menudo in El Paso area! Hidden gem!

OMG what a hidden gem! We looked for a breakfast joint near the El Paso area but the name caught my eye first, Cotton Eyed Joe's! Little did we know this was going to be the best Huevos Rancheros and beans EVER! Those beans are on point, and you know it's a great place when the beans are good, or in my opinion Excellent! And when clientele is nothing but locals and ranchers, you know it's good! Great atmosphere, excellent food, two thumbs up!

Food is lousy for a texmex. No seasoning. Service is horrible and atmosphere is poor. Music is way too loud can't have conversation with friends with such loud music. Wait staff don't follow directions for ordering food.

Our order took too long and when it came the enchiladas were soooo spicy I couldn't eat them.. The waitress went to sample the sauce and said it was real spicy but that she loved it because she loves spicy food... At the cash register the lady said that is the sauce they use.. I can't imagine a kid eating them. So I payed for beans and rice.. The enchiladas stayed on the plate...

Had never heard of this place but was in the area and thought I'd try it out. It was good. Just a good old fashioned dinner burger. Tiny little Mexican restaurant with a American classic items added. Breakfast served all day. I wouldn't go out of your way to eat here BUT if you happen to be in the Clint, TX area and hungry, it's a good spot. Friendly service and good food and a fair price. Whats not to love?

Food was good Felt discriminated against as we were the old white people in the place. Everyone got a little bowl of ice cream but she just kept walking by us apart from that it was good

I was back home visiting the parents and they took me to this, one of their favorite spots. It is conveniently located off 1-10 for all travelers and directly across a gas station/truck stop. It has plenty of parking and a motel is directly behind it, in case you need to sleep or rest a while. The service was great. A new girl was serving us but she kept up with our order, was on time - even with the crowded dining room - and was very friendly. She offered drink refills, as well as chips and tortillas. The food was good. My parents always seem to get the daily special, which they claim changes daily and weekly. (They usually call ahead of time to get the scoop on what it is.) The price for the food is outstanding. With your special, you are allowed one trip to the soup and salad bar which is generously stocked. Thanks you for taking care of my aging parents, Cotton Eyed Joe. You friendly service to them means a lot!

Once again on our quest to find local restaurants we stumbled across this little Hidden Gem it's right off of the I-10 and the Clint exit you walk in and you're automatically taken to a place of your grandparents days. We were automatically greeted by a smiling face we were told where to sit and right away we had great service, menus and drinks were on the table quickly and the food was absolutely delicious everything tasted like it was made just for you I got the red enchiladas with beef they were filled nicely and had a great spice to them not overly powering. my date got the breakfast pork chops and he devoured them he absolutely loved the hash browns and said that they were buttery and crisp and perfect, they even give you a little dessert at the end. Great prices and absolutely greasy service... will we be back? Of course we can't wait to try out the dinner menu

Comfort food when I need it!!! Friendly service and sensible prices. We go frequently and have never had an issue.

A little old people cafe. Somewhere you can take grandma for coffee. Small town vibes

I like going and the food and people are great, the only part is that it gets full fast and sometimes its hard to get around. People come from different places because it right off the highway East, so we get a little of all and not all are nice. But other then that its all good.

Good Mexican breakfast. Loved my green enchiladas Montadas and pancakes! Recommended if you are this far away from the city.

Cotton Eyed Joe's is a jewel in the outskirts of El Paso. It's located off I-10 near Clint. The menu is diverse and can accommodate many appetites and is very reasonable in price. So make the trip just east of El Paso and enjoy.....

Passed this location up for the dickeys barbecue in the truckstop across the street on my way out west. Thought it was a bar as it was night and busy. When I came out of the truck stop to get back onto the interstate realized it said restaurant. On my way back east decided to stop in to try out the food to go. My first suggestion is that you have some type of knowledge of Mexican cuisine. I went with something average chorizo eggs burrito. It is Sunday and busy but not completely full. Customer Service was amazing. Everyone that worked there spoke both languages. Spoke English quite well. We're quite attentive to assisting me, my non-Spanish food knowledge or language, with what I wanted. I will stop in here again when I have more time to sit down and actually go through the menu. I appreciate that the chorizo was not greasy as you run into in a lot of places. The burrito was OK it appeared to be fresh.

This restaurant is in my weekly lunch rotation. the food is good and the prices are too. they have the daily special board which is $7.50 a person. you get a drink, a trip to the salad bar, a bowl of soup, main dish, and a small dessert. it's tough to finish it all, but you can take your leftovers home. The main plates are always changing, but the soups seem to follow a schedule. Monday - tortilla soup. Tuesday- caldillo (ground beef w/potatoes.) wednesday- chili beans. Thursday - caldo de res. Friday- meatballs with vegetables. Salad bar is small but still has the essentials. They also have many different choices of pasta salads, as well as some fruit and cottage cheese. Main dishes that I've had are pork chops, chile rellenos, fried shrimp, chicken breast with chipotle sauce or cheese sauce, chicken fried steak, Mexican plate, spare ribs, and hamburger steak with onions. Everything is good. desserts rotate, Jell-O, pudding, fruit, cake, while sopaipillas are served on Friday. They also have a menu to order from, including Hamburgers, sandwiches, and mexican specialties. Eating here is completely worth the drive, it is a family owned business and multiple generations of the family are always around and very friendly. It pains me to give them a four because they make the experience so great. My only con is that sometimes the service is subpar. Our meals have been lost and forgotten sometimes and sometimes the waitresses attitude isn't always welcoming. But Vanessa is great is always helpful. If everyone was like Vanessa, I'd gladly rate this place a five.

Very bad service..... constantly having to wait for service (tips are pooled, therefore no reason for waitress to render good service)... Moreover, ordered a hamburger& this is what I got...(see picture), but the worst part about it is that charged me for food that was not eaten/returned...

So, this is a local restaurant that gets pretty full. Personally, my food experience have been great. The small salad bar, soups, breakfast is good. But I haven't had much luck with lunch. Chicken and meat entries are really dry and tough. It's alright.

What a nice place to eat and very friendly people. We stayed the night at the Adobe Inn next door and were very thankful to be able to walk just a few steps to this family friendly and reasonable place. The portions were big and the price was small. We would definitely return.

Good service tasty food... You can't go wrong eating here. The soup and salad bar has a decent variety of fresh vegetables and pastas with all the extras to make a great salad. Price was reasonable Soup, Salad and Drink: $6.05

Ribeye special $7.25 came with soup and salad bar. You could nearly see through the thin steak but come on its $7.25. It did have a good flavor however and came with steamed broccoli and baked potato. Soup was like a meatball soup very good and salad fixings were fresh. At the end of the meal they dropped off complimentary sopapillas and honey. Service was fast and efficient. We were full, happy and on our way in a half hour. Would definitely stop again. Added bonus fuel at station across the street prices are really low.

I Have been to this Place many times it was a good place to have a good meal with family. 2 years ago i stopping coming here due to the bad service. Waitresses just have dropped the ball on how to serve you. I dont know if it's just that they don't really care since they have so much traffic, or they just don't care. I recently attended this place again to meet with family. I was reminded Why i Stopped coming to this place. We sat there for so long i had to ask another waitress who was going to help us. It still took the waitress a while to show up with menues. Waitress was either having a bad day or just didn't want to be at work. Her attitude was unwillingly wanting to wait on us. When we finally got our drinks it took her another long while before she tried to come take our order. When we finally got our order in. It took so long to get our food that we even notices other customers come in after us they were already halfway through their meal, and we where still waiting on our food. I had to go ask someone about our food. The waitress finally came out to just let us know it was almost out. Ugh. When we finally got our food i had to go located some utincles to eat. Smh bad service all the way around. I Will Never eat here again. Food was terrible also. NOT WORTH THE WAIT.!

If you're looking for a place where service is poor, waitresses get mad at you for complaining on their bad service and the owner doesn't give a damn, look no further! The most recent experience is one for the books. Waited 30 mins for cold food, while 3 other tables that arrived after us got their food first. What did we order that required this much time: 2 pancakes, 1 burrito and order of chilaquiles. Si está buscando un lugar donde el servicio es mediocre, las meseras se molestan por llamar atención a su mal servicio, y la dueña le vale madre, no tiene que buscar más! Media hora para una orden de pancakes chilaquiles y un burrito.

Stopped at this little hole in the wall on the way back to California. The place was packed and now i know why. Very reasonable prices and tasty mixture of American and Mexican food. Service was good. Everyone was satisfied and enjoyed their meal!

It's my home town, I'm biased. The country-ness atmosphere is cool. Simple plating. Good and simple and it's comfort food at its best. Mexican food in el paso is almost guaranteed to taste good anywhere you go.

We were very hungry for breakfast and glad we could still get huevos at lunchtime. The place was packed yet the service was attentive and food came out hot. Over easy eggs were done right. The portions are big and the restaurant had a lot of workers in for lunch. Did not get soup but it looked good.

Its is the best restaurant you can go to in the lower valley, all the food is scrumptious, my all time favorite is the sheered beef tacos, and wed- chili beans are to die for. Staff is very friendly and welcoming!!!

My first time at cotton eyed Joes. I ordered a Mexican combination plate with 2 red enchiladas one taco and one chile relleno with rice and beans. It was good. Enchiladas were good chile relleno was Ok and the taco was also good. Wasn't offered any salsa for my taco which I thought was weird or is it me I love salsa on everything. Lol! My husband had a breakfast plate. He said was good to. Nothing there to rave about that we have tried yet. The green chile burgers looked awesome. Maybe next time we'll try one.

The food here is good, and the prices are reasonable. This place does get noisy during dinner time since it is small, and busy. This is definitely a great place to eat.
