Cotton House Hotel Budapest

We had a very nice stay at this themed boutique hotel. The building is lovely. We stayed in their suite which was spacious, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was tasty and set out in the beautiful basement. The old atmospheric jazz club/cinema room on the same floor is worth taking a look at. All of the staff were friendly and helpful and tried to accommodate our needs, such as supplying a kettle so that we could make tea as and when we wished. Would definitely stay again.

In my review I want to specifically mention the politeness of the staff and readiness to support us, good breakfast, convenient location of the hotel and its unique atmosphere of the 30's. Together with my husband we spent wonderful 4 days in the hotel and I will definitely recommend it to my friends and other travelers.

Great vibe of jazz club straight from 20s. Very friendly staff and beautiful interior design. I hope one day live jazz will also return.

I stayed here one night on 21st of September 2024, the owners replied to my first review pretending I hadn’t actually stayed here, so I’m writing it again. Feel free to check my name and date, you’ll see I booked the most expensive room that night ;) The receptionist woman with shoulder length brown hair was disgusting. I informed her of an elevator malfunction and she screamed “why didn’t you tell me this sooner??” In front of everyone in the reception room. She then started blaming me and become very angry with me for pointing out the malfunction. Vicious woman.

Nice boutique hotel with jazz theme. Ideally located close to lots of the attractions in Pest, all within walking distance. Room with king size bed, a bit low to the ground for us but ok, bedding very nice. Wardrobe with safe, shower with wc. Breakfast a lovely continental choice in a fabulous setting in the basement. Staff all spoke good English and were very nice.

Fantastic hotel! Top service, great buffet breakfast & lovely room with high ceiling, huge windows & lovely character furniture. The customer service start to finish was great - from late arrival to end of stay. Appreciated the transfer (with Daniel) who was friendly & flexible when our flight was delayed. This hotel was very clean and has a bit of personality. Give it a go.

Wonderful hotel decorated sumptuously in classic style. Our room was spacious and came with a good bed and decent tv. The bathtub was great. The staff was polite without failure. The location is about as central as can be and it’s just a few minutes walk to a big train station with tram, metro and bus connections. Very affordable too. Here and there the room did show a few marks of age, but you’d have to look quite carefully to spot them. The breakfast was fine and offered a decent selection.

The hotel is very nice in a 1920s vibe and the service is very good.||The rooms are not the biggest. We got one of the rooms without windows, which is okay, but it gets very dark. The room is quite noisy and we can hear all other gets bipping into there rooms or every time the ones next to us or upstairs are using the bathroom.||The bathroom is very small, and the toilet is so close fitted between the wall and the shower that it is uncomfortable. The shower itself is so small it is hard to turn, and not possible to stand upright if you are tall. On the bright sight you also don't really get any water out of the shower. The water temperature doesn't remain constant but changes from boiling to freezing. ||The breakfast is very good with a wide selection of food, cakes and beverages.
