This resort was incredible! Everything was super clean, new, and gorgeous. It’s only minutes from Capitol Reef National Park, which made it so easy to get in and out after hiking. The property was incredible with 2 friendly dogs, horses, baby goats, llamas, a donkey, and even a longhorn. The amenities were just as great: a beautiful pool with cabanas, a sauna, changing rooms, basketball courts, a complimentary professional laundry room, and a full gym. We stayed in the King Ranch, which felt like a luxury condo. It had an upstairs, a walk-in shower, two porches, a brand-new full kitchen, and a pellet grill. It was the perfect place to relax after exploring. The staff was welcoming and incredibly friendly, which made the whole experience even better. I highly recommend this resort if you want comfort, luxury, fun, and the best location near Capitol Reef.

My husband and I had an incredible 3 night stay at Cougar Ridge. This place is a hidden gem! Exceptional service, beautifully appointed rooms with amazing views. Wonderful amenities- pool, gym, sauna. Close to Capitol Reef and Grand Staircase Escalante. Highly recommend!

Cougar Ridge was incredible and unique. The instructions to find it were a bit long and confusing at first, but after a couple of reads, we made it. The staff were great and even gave us their phone number in case we needed help. We opted for one of the bigger rooms, and it was stunning. The room was fully equipped with everything needed for a self-catered stay. Both the living area and bedroom were well-presented, clean, and very comfortable. The ranch/farm surroundings were beautiful, and we enjoyed breakfast on the balcony, overlooking the lovely view. The breakfast was generous and self-serve, which worked perfectly for us. We even grabbed snack bars for our hike through Capitol Reef. Had we known how great this place was, we would’ve loved to stay for 2 or 3 days, but our itinerary didn’t allow for it. I highly recommend staying here for anyone visiting Capitol Reef!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ My wife and I had the most unforgettable stay at Cougar Ridge Lodge. From the second we pulled up, we were blown away by how beautiful and peaceful everything was. The red rock views, the quiet setting, and the attention to detail everywhere, it honestly felt like we had discovered a hidden gem in the heart of Utah. We stayed in one of the private villas and it was incredible. Super clean, beautifully designed, and had everything we could’ve wanted: kitchen, fireplace, private patio, even a Traeger grill. At night, we sat outside just watching the stars. You’ve never seen a night sky like the one here. The staff was absolutely amazing—friendly, welcoming, and genuinely happy to make our stay perfect. They made us feel like family and had great suggestions for exploring Capitol Reef and the surrounding areas. What really stood out, though, was how relaxing and quiet the whole experience was. It felt like we had the whole place to ourselves. Whether we were soaking in the hot tub, watching deer wander by in the morning, or just enjoying the fresh mountain air, it was exactly the kind of escape we needed. If you're even thinking about staying here just do it. Cougar Ridge Lodge is something special. We’re already planning our return trip.

Family Wedding - Amazing and Magical! CR staff, thank you for creating such a beautiful lodge/resort in such an amazing area. Everything was great - the rooms, the pool, the service, just everything! You helped our family have such an amazing wedding that we will remember for the rest of our lives. Hoping we can come back soon for a vacation and spend more time in this amazing part of the desert.

My husband and I had an amazing weekend stay here over the 4th of July. This resort is beautiful from the land, to the room, to the additional amenity spaces. We loved the laid back feel, but the upscale quality. Everyone was extremely welcoming and helpful. It’s a quick drive to Capitol Reef National Park as well as other restaurants in town. We highly recommend staying here!

Cougar Ridge is an experience all to itself. I was recommended to stay here by a friend who stayed 2 years ago. My goal was a dream vacation where my family and I could experience all the Utah national parks. Cougar Ridge is the perfect location for home base to make that all happen. It is about 2.5 hours from Moab (Arches and Canyonlands), 2.5 from Bryce Canyon, and 3.5 from Zion. It is basically inside of Capitol Reef.|This perfect location allowed us to hit all.of those parks. The GM, Jake, and all staff were super friendly and hospitable. Elena and Cameron gave us tips that only locals know. That was to visit Goblin Valley State Park, and the Lower Calf Creek Falls in Boulder. BOTH hikes were amazing and ranked higher on our list of favorite experiences than most of the national park hikes.|My kids loved the animals, especially the baby goats that followed them everywhere and allowed them to pick them up.|The gym on site is MINT. It has everything you need to do crossfit, bodybuilding, or cardio. There is a pool, hot tub, dry sauna, and steam sauna. Outside there is basketball, pickleball, horseshoes, spikeball, and a volleyball court.|Breakfast is delicious and has gluten free options, as well as almond milk and oat milk.|The views and sunsets are amazing. Lodging is top notch and comfortable. The only bummer was the lack of an oven in the villa. However, there was a traeger on the porch. The pavilion has an oven, grill, and traeger. So we could still cook pizzas and sausages. Just a short walk away.|Cougar Ridge is a vacation destination by itself. Even if we went here with no plans to see the parks, we would have had an amazing, relaxing, quiet, and rejuvenating vacation.|Thank you to Jake and family. You have truly created Eden in Utah.

The bed was amazing, one of the best vacation sleeps we’ve ever had. The shower was equally outstanding. The floor was really well textured, the water pressure was amazing. There was a fridge in the room that actually kept our food cold!||Goats on the farm, and we were encouraged to pick them up and pet them.||Breakfast was mostly prepackaged stuff, but there was some fresh quiche and fruit, and everything was very clean and well taken care of. There was a small store and I got a hiking hat because I got sunburnt.||Check in staff was very kind, friendly and welcoming, but it took us a long time to find the reception area. The instructions they emailed us were correct, but Google maps definitely took us through the back entrance and we were very confused.||Like any place in this area, this is a great place for stargazing.
