As far as I'm concerned, this is the only place worth staying while visiting Capitol Reef National Park or any of the many other tourists stops. This property is very well maintained and built with the finest building materials. The service here is top-notch and goes above and beyond to make sure each of their guests is completely happy. This is a ranch with several animals bringing an atmosphere you can't find anywhere else. The fresh air here is unbeatable, also making it a great place for star gazing. There are several activities and tours as well as national and state parks within a short drive from Cougar Ridge. I highly recommend this establishment for your lodging needs.

I used Hilton Honors points for my stay, and Casitas provided the best lodging experience I have ever had! It was definitely a bit awkward to get to our room and find our way around the property, but a quick phone call cleared things up. They upgraded us for free on arrival, and we got this awesome two bedroom suite with climate controls specific to each room. This place was really well-built and high-quality. There was a nice little electric fireplace and the beds were very comfortable. My only issue with the stay is that breakfast starts pretty late, and we were already out the door by then. An awesome experience and I would definitely go back.

What a hidden gem! We stayed a few nights with our two dogs and we all loved the property. Our villa was beautiful and relaxing- the stone work, the showers, and the furniture were all perfect. The attention to detail was obvious. The pool and common areas were private and beautifully furnished as well - more unique tile and stone work. We also opted for a grill box so we could enjoy the views and grill at "home," the meal was so well planned and super fresh, it was a nice change from eating out while traveling. If you're traveling to Capital Reef NP or passing through like we were, make sure to spend at least a few days here to relax and recharge.

Cougar Ridge Resort is AWESOME!! It's a great place to stay when visiting Capitol Reef National Park or on the way to Bryce Canyon. Suzie and Elena are so welcoming at check-in and easily available throughout the day.The rooms are gorgeous, comfortable and VERY well appointed. The complimentary breakfast is plentiful. Everything has been thought of to ensure a comfortable and relaxing stay. The views are breathtaking. And, make time to see the animals at the resort including horses, cows, llamas and alpacas. We highly recommend and would certainly return.

This place is a real treat. Exterior buildings look plain, but rooms are wonderful.||We stayed in a Lower Indian Villa and it was terrific. New, great granite counters throughout, large shower with excellent huge shower, nice patio with chairs to relax. Dimmers on lights in bedroom, something few hotels do.||They have a central room in their clubhouse building which has great options for a self-serve breakfast. Decent espresso machine, juice, yogurt, fruits, breads, quiche slices to warm up. Well stocked.||They have a pool and exercise room and sauna—did not see or use those.||Location is excellent—make sure to get easy directions to check-in from hotel, not Google. About 15 minutes from entry to Capitol Reef where there are great hikes (Chimney Rock was excellent, as was Gooseneck Overlook).||We were there for the fall colors—drove about 30 minutes north to the Fish Lake National Forest and the Pando Aspen Grove which were absolutely beautiful. ||Loved Hunt & Gather for dinner—see that review separately—an easy 10 minute drive from the hotel.||This is a really special place in Torrey that should not be missed!

This place was gorgeous!! The rooms and the grounds were very clean and quiet. The bathrooms were clean and beautiful. The bed was so comfy! But,hands down my favorite thing about the place was the animals!! The goats were precious and super friendly!! They also have the sweetest kitten, Pattycake, that would find me and greet me every time she saw me walking around. This place was not just a place to stay while visiting Capitol Reef, but an experience!!

If you're planning a visit to Capitol Reef National Park and searching for exceptional accommodations, look no further. We recently spent four nights in one of the casitas and were impressed by both the natural beauty of the surroundings and the high-quality design and comfort of the resort. The room was spacious and the bed very comfortable, making it a true haven for relaxation. The resort is peaceful and the soundproofing was excellent—you could hear absolutely nothing to disrupt your sleep. The property also has a stunning spa area and outdoor pool, with every detail thoughtfully curated. If you're considering just a one-night stay, do yourself a favor and extend your visit—you won't regret it. We wish we could find accommodations like this one in every national park!

They highlight of my trip! So glad this was added to the Hilton portfolio and I had the chance to stay at this property. The pictures don’t do it justice. For this big city dweller, to be able to step outside and see the Milky Way was incredible. Room was beautiful and clean. Not to mention the animals everywhere! Don’t hesitate to book here!
