Cougar Ridge Resort

We stayed at Cougar Ridge Resort for two days and loved every minute. Our villa was spacious and comfortable with a king bed and bath upstairs, with a kitchen and cozy living room (plus a gas fireplace) downstairs. After hiking, we recharged in the hot tub, steam room, and sauna which was a perfect way to unwind. The breakfast was an unexpected bonus, and the grounds were absolutely beautiful. Total relaxation from start to finish. Elena was a friendly, professional host who even accommodated our late check-in. Highly recommend Cougar Ridge if you’re visiting Torrey.

We stayed in the villas and had the reception here for my best friend's wedding and I was absolutely blown away. The property, staff, and villas are all incredible. Everyone is super friendly and helpful. The property is gorgeous, peaceful, and well maintained. All of the rooms and furniture are comfortable. Don't even get me started on the showers, because it's truly luxury living there. The gym and pool area is incredible as well. Couldn't have picked a better spot to spend the weekend. Overheard that there will eventually be a restaurant on the property, which will be a wonderful addition!

I enjoyed three days at Cougar Ridge with my two eldest sons. Everything was outstanding, from the check-in staff to the grounds to the self-service breakfast. A great place for families and groups. Developed a deep friendship with a big Longhorn bull that loved having behind his ears scratched and a mini goat wanted to join us for a ride in our truck…luckily I was able to lift him out. It is the perfect base for exploring the region and returning to excellent accommodations and things to do on the grounds. Thanks for an excellent stay and we will return.

This resort was incredible! Everything was super clean, new, and gorgeous. It’s only minutes from Capitol Reef National Park, which made it so easy to get in and out after hiking. The property was incredible with 2 friendly dogs, horses, baby goats, llamas, a donkey, and even a longhorn. The amenities were just as great: a beautiful pool with cabanas, a sauna, changing rooms, basketball courts, a complimentary professional laundry room, and a full gym. We stayed in the King Ranch, which felt like a luxury condo. It had an upstairs, a walk-in shower, two porches, a brand-new full kitchen, and a pellet grill. It was the perfect place to relax after exploring. The staff was welcoming and incredibly friendly, which made the whole experience even better. I highly recommend this resort if you want comfort, luxury, fun, and the best location near Capitol Reef.

We had the most incredible 3 nights at Cougar Ridge! The upper king villa was so cozy. The bed was extremely comfortable. It was great sitting on the balcony on the second floor and watching the night sky. The stars are so bright they are mesmerizing! Loved watching the animals in the morning while having coffee on the covered porch. The heated pool and steam bath were so relaxing. Loved this place! Thank you Jake for being such a wonderful host!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Absolutely the best week of our lives! We just spent the most incredible week at Cougar Ridge Lodge celebrating our daughter’s wedding to Dan — and it was truly unforgettable. The lodge, the setting, and the experience exceeded every expectation. Elena and Jake were amazing — warm, attentive, and incredibly helpful every step of the way. They made us feel like family. It was also such a pleasure to meet Gary, the owner, at the reception. His passion for the place really shows, and we’re so grateful for everything he and the team did to make this celebration so special. From the stunning views to the thoughtful touches throughout the property, every moment felt magical. We’ll treasure this week forever. Thank you, Cougar Ridge

Wow! What a wonderful luxury getaway conveniently located just outside of Capital Reef National Park! We thoroughly enjoyed our accommodations, the ranch, and the staff’s hospitality! If we are ever back in the area we will definitely stay at Cougar Ridge again!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ My wife and I had the most unforgettable stay at Cougar Ridge Lodge. From the second we pulled up, we were blown away by how beautiful and peaceful everything was. The red rock views, the quiet setting, and the attention to detail everywhere, it honestly felt like we had discovered a hidden gem in the heart of Utah. We stayed in one of the private villas and it was incredible. Super clean, beautifully designed, and had everything we could’ve wanted: kitchen, fireplace, private patio, even a Traeger grill. At night, we sat outside just watching the stars. You’ve never seen a night sky like the one here. The staff was absolutely amazing—friendly, welcoming, and genuinely happy to make our stay perfect. They made us feel like family and had great suggestions for exploring Capitol Reef and the surrounding areas. What really stood out, though, was how relaxing and quiet the whole experience was. It felt like we had the whole place to ourselves. Whether we were soaking in the hot tub, watching deer wander by in the morning, or just enjoying the fresh mountain air, it was exactly the kind of escape we needed. If you're even thinking about staying here just do it. Cougar Ridge Lodge is something special. We’re already planning our return trip.
