Our stay at Mandra Edera was great! Lessons are adapted to one’s level (from complete beginner to advanced) and the excursions are absolutely beautiful! The horses are really well taken care of, I have never seen such beautiful, nice and healthy horses on a horse riding holiday. Moreover, they are all very high level horses. Everyone here is very nice and Paola gave me great jumping lessons. I can’t believe how much I progressed with just a week of riding with her! The pool is great to relax after riding and having the horses walking freely in front of the room really felt like paradise. They are not scared of anything and use to people coming and pet them. Mandra Edera also has a lot of dogs, all looking for cuddles and play! Horses, dogs, the one cat, Romeo the singing donkey and humans all live in complete harmony there. We did two excursions at the beach, one going in the sea with the horses and the other one walking along cliffs with an astonishing view. ||All the staff was really nice and always happy to help you out! They were also very flexible and never complained if we did not fully respect the breakfast and dinner time. ||This horse riding experience was the best I experienced, on all level. Leaving at the end of the week was really tough, but we already decided to come back next year! || I would just highly recommend to rent a car for the stay, as a car is needed if you want to go around and visit a bit :)

Upon arrival we immediately felt a sense of calm descend. Jessica welcomed us with information about what we could expect from our riding holiday over the coming days. During our stay our accommodation was a little house in the gardens with a view of horses roaming freely. It had a bedroom, bathroom, lounge area and outside seating - perfect for the two of us. The rooms were cleaned daily along with replacement towels and toiletries. As our holiday had all meals included we could choose meals for the following day during the evening meal - a great choice of hearty home made deliciousness served by a friendly team of staff - (Stefano and Danilo). The highlight however was the opportunity to experience all Sardinia has to offer on horse back. Our fabulous guides Daniel and Paula led us on our fabulous horses Quassio and Milindrosa through the rugged and wild scenic mountains, forests and coastal areas. It was a ride of diversity - six different landscapes in as many days. We stopped along the way to enjoy picnics, farm lunches and barbecues before returning to our accommodation to relax and take a dip in the (icy) outdoor swimming pool. Fabrizio was always on hand to help with saddling and driving us to the next location and cooks the most amazing barbecue pork! (Its a good idea to hire a car as then if you have a spare hour you can visit the local narghe or picturesque town of Bosa). You need to be saddle and ride fit to make the most of this holiday, able to brush, saddle and care for your own horse and be willing to learn from Daniel and Paula and their wealth of riding knowledge. We came away richer from our experiences and had an amazing time - thank you all at Mandra Edera for your hospitality and allowing us to be part of your world for a time.

I stayed for 9 days at Mandra Edera in their high season in August 2019 as a last minute trip I booked to get away alone from Manhattan New York City and be with horses in nature. I found it to be a rustic location with a relaxed and attentive atmosphere for those who enjoy a quiet and natural experience. The pace and activities you wish to do are at your leisure, there is no stress here. ||The horses are beautiful and well cared for. The lessons by Stefano will really help you improve your riding, no matter your background or skill, he is so sweet and patient. Paola and Daniele are excellent hosts and professional riders, their attention to detail and love for the land and animals will instruct you how to be a better horse person and show you their unique historical Sardinian culture .||The rides out (excursions) are varied and well guided, if you come here seeking riding in nature you are sure to find a little bit of magic. You will ride among grape and fig groves, see ancient architecture, and maybe get invited to a local festival. If you decide to explore the area, there is much to see and discover in this rich and ancient island.||The food is plentiful and simple, if you are hungry from riding you will enjoy that it is prepared and served with love, and meant to be eaten slowly while you watch the dogs and horses and garden.||They have a wine cellar and you can enjoy local wine which I recommend. ||I'll be back, and I highly recommend this rural spot

This is a simply delightful place to stay, with wonderfully kind and friendly staff, excellent food, and a memorably tranquil atmosphere. We felt really welcome, and quickly relaxed to spend a very happy week at the hotel. The traditional menu at lunch and dinner was varied, superbly cooked, and eagerly anticipated. The restaurant staff gave great recommendations for wines from the well-stocked cellar, and we enjoyed some of the best and most authentic wines that we've ever experienced, at reasonable prices too. The horses are very well kept and have lovely characters, and a high standard of riding instruction was offered by three friendly, multi-lingual staff. It's a great place for children and adults to receive riding instruction from beginner level upwards. We look forward to a return visit.

Each person working there will help make you as comfortable as possible, thanks to Jessica, Alina, Barbara, Coco and his kitchen and everyone else . The room is comfortable and they make it very clean for you, this is a good place to come alone or with your children. The food is plentiful and simple, if you are hungry from riding you will enjoy that it is prepared and served with love, and meant to be eaten slowly while you watch the dogs and horses and garden. Everything here is done with pure intention. I also hope that others feel this way when visiting here. They have a wine cellar and you can enjoy local wine, which I recommend. The pool was cool and clean, and a nice place to take a nap after you have been out riding all morning. The large garden is clean and well groomed, the horses sometimes graze there. The way of life here is slower paced and relaxed, come stay for a week or more and you are certain to be enchanted by a simple commune with nature this country club facilitates. The rides out (excursions) are varied and well guided, if you come here seeking riding in nature you are sure to find a little bit of magic. You will ride among grape and fig groves, see ancient architecture, and maybe get invited to a local festival. If you love horses and meeting others who also share this love, you will leave feeling better than when you arrived. I'll be back, and I highly recommend this rural spot

My husband and I spent the Ferragosto week in Mandra Edera (August 11-18). It has been a beautiful week. I am a horseback rider and I booked the “Country and Sea” package which consist in 3 rides in the country side and 3 rides on the seaside. My husband is not a rider so he took the “liberty package” (10 points to use as you wish for lessons and trail rides). He took some horse riding lessons and was really pleased with what he learned. ||But even if the horses are a great attraction at Mandra Edera, the place is also excellent to relax and having great lunches and dinners. There is a beautiful veranda were we were having our dinners. There is always a traditional menu and a vegetarian one. The kitchen personnel are super nice! Our room was junior suite with private garden. Room and bathroom are nice and spacious.||All the rides I did were beautiful. We trotted and galloped on old paths in the middle of olive trees, raisin trees, cork oaks and Nuraghi archeological sites. We encountered herds of sheep and cattle. On the sea side we were able to walk in the sea, on cliffs and see an old Spanish tower. The horses are all beautiful, healthy and well kept. Some are champions in various categories. The personnel are very knowledgeable. I even took 3 jumping lessons. There were 3 trainers which were able to teach in Italian, English, French and German.||We had a great week and I warmly and without reservation recommend Mandra Edera. It is a beautiful way to visit Sardinia.

We stayed at Mandra Edera for 12 days at our hooneymoon at Sardinia. It's truely an idyllic place where you can relax in a quiet athmosphere and idyllic sourroundings. Really fascinating with beautiful horses walking around in the big garden outside the hotell. Riding courses available if you like that sort og thing. Great service from the staff when you need something. Swimming pool beside the garden offers some cooling opportunities when needed. Recommended for a relaxing vacation with your loved one or the entire family.

We stayed at Mandra Edera from 8 to 11 Aug and absolutely loved it. It's the ideal place for horse lovers. Here are my higjlights:||Garden suites are large enough for a family of 4 with a nice terrace in front with comfy chairs. We really enjoyed it with a glass of wine watching the very bright stars at night or horses grazing around in the morning. ||Food and drinks are hearty and not expensive. 25 euro for a 3 course meal plus drinks and dessert||Horses are lovely and grazing around the large gardens without fear . You can tell they are happy and treated very well. My advise is bring some carrots and play with them. They have a variety of horses to suit all needs whether you want to ride or jump or your big or small or experienced or not. The horses are trained not spooky to accommodate absolute beginners. ||Riding classes: the instructors are great, happy and helpful . Big thanks to Stefano and the team who are very experienced and take care of both your fun and safety . ||Excrusions : we only tried 2 although they have a variety of sites, experience level and duration. We tried the forest Excrusion around the estate for 3 hours and it's great. We also had the beach Excrusion which starts with a lovely forest ride and ends on the beach. This was the icing of the cake and big thank you to Paola who guided us. Paola is lovely and fund person and instructor. She put confidence in my wife to trot and canter for the first time by herself. ||There is also nice pool in the garden which we used to in the morning to afternoon between our classes. During our stay, the day passed very quick as there is something to do or enjoy every minute. ||Finally, all the staff were great, and everyone went out of their way to accommodate our requests whether in lesson / excursion timing, food and fun. Also there is a family feeling amongst the guests who happily interact with each other. ||Looking forward to our next holiday there and lots of love and respect to these real horse people.
