Best fudge this side of the Delaware. Freshly made daily. Soft and creamy. Best flavor is pistachio but they’re all delicious. I had to go back and get the seasonal pumpkin spice flavor and I can never leave LBI without a box. Everyone is friendly and helpful. And sometimes you can watch them make it right in the store. Pretty cool place.

Love this fudge with old fashioned feel store Walked in and first saw the fudge being poured into a tin, then smelled the aroma of glorious chocolate and sugar. Got a lb with a few flavors to try. Very smooth , usual melt in your mouth fudge. Great location, you can stop in and head over to the beach for a quick sugar high nap in the 🌞

Big disappointment. Used to visit this shop annually but haven't been back in a few years. Was happy to buy a box with 4 flavors today and immediately dug in for a sample. Our first bite of the maple walnut was full of sharp shell fragments. Immediately returned and reported it (with fragments in hand) and was told they buy shelled walnuts from a distributor and got a half hearted thanks for telling them. As a business, find the current batch you're cutting from and pull it. Offer to replace the customer's fudge. As a QC measure, train your employees to check nuts for shell fragments. The lame response wasn't appreciated. They make tasty fudge but be careful of the shell fragments, which can be dangerous if swallowed.

When we first walked in, there were a ton a different flavors. We got the personal box with mint chocolate chip and m&m which were really good. The prices weren't too high considering we were on LBI so everything is a little expensive on the island.

Love Country Kettle Fudge. We get some to bring home every year. It is the best around. Stay to watch them make it, it's remarkable! Highly recommend.

A must-visit every time we're on Long Beach Island! it's pure heaven. The staff friendly, generous with samples, and happy to explain the different flavors (which is helpful because you'll want to try everything!)

Cute vintage store with delicious homemade fudge. Freshly made every day, their fudge is soft and sweet. They have so many flavors to choose from! I usually end up getting regular chocolate, and oh my god is it good. The smell of the inside of the store is just 🤤

So I go in and order cranberry and pumpkin pie fudge. On the counter is a sample platter. It was clam fudge. Yes clam. I tried it. Interesting is how I would describe it. Haha. Made with clam juice. It was like eating a sweet ball of clam fudge The other fudge was very good.

Amazing fudge! I always make sure to visit this place to get my fill of diverse and tasty fudge. The staff is always so friendly and helpful. And who doesn't like the smell of sweetness when walking into any storefront.

I picked up a few flavors of fudge yesterday and was disappointed. It had been a couple of years since I'd had their candy and it didn't have the same flavor. Not sure if management has changed but it just wasn't the same. Staff didn't seem too enthusiast either as I ordered. Probably try another place for fudge the next time I visit LBI.

Absolutely the best, creamiest, tastiest, freshest fudge I've had in a long time. I forgot how good fudge can be. Did I say FRESH? Not being a chocolate fan, I tried the vanilla walnut and the maple walnut flavors. I enjoyed the maple walnut MUCH better and kept ordering it again and again every few days. My husband tried many different chocolate flavors and liked all of them.

Maybe the fall and winter are not the best seasons to go here but, this was the forth time I went to both locations and they both suck. The fudge was so stale and there was not taste. At $20 a pop I won't go to surf city or beach haven for fudge. I can't believe they know that their selling a stale product and they could care less.

Whenever I want to send someone a unique gift, I mail order a 1 pound box of their fudge online. Everyone I've gifted it to is so impressed with the flavor.

Yesterday I had a wonderful experience at the fudge shop in Bay Village. I have never been there before and I know my mother wanted some fudge while I was at the shore. This food shop had a great collection of different flavors they have the family box and also a personal box of fudge and so many different varieties that even if you loved one certain kind of fudge, you would wanna try a different size box with other selections of flavors. They also had end cuttings which were about $4.75 and had a chunk of delicious fudge, too. In the end, I brought home.... pistachio, salted caramel, M&M's, triple chocolate almond And chocolate. Everyone in the house was very satisfied and happy

For me, fudge equals vacation at the shore - I wouldn't say I love fudge or crave it regularly, but it's something I always like having when I'm visiting a beach town. Country Kettle definitely delivers the goods. A standout shop in Bay Village, Country Kettle welcomes you as you enter with glorious views of fresh fudge still in the pan along the back wall of the shop. The variety is crazy, things you never thought could be a fudge flavor, are! There are a number of different box sizes to choose from, each being able to hold a certain number of flavors. I went with a box that hold six and chose coconut, Mexican mole (spicy!), maple bacon, salted caramel, Toll House, and M&M. Each flavor was unique and delicious. I also appreciated that the fudge wasn't too sweet, which made the flavors shine even more. Definitely stop by here if you're in LBI.

How did I miss giving this candy delight spot a review?! so sorry. Cute little shop, the staff was helpful in deciding on fudge flavors. I'm kind of a purist and just like the fudge regular and with nuts- divinity is my favorite but I have yet to find a store out here that carries true divinity fudge, I think its the weather that plays a factor. It's a little bit expensive but its crafted confections so I am ok with that - now, if I bought it allll the time then yes, it would be pricey - but as a treat or for special occasion or season - sure splurge a little!! Good stuff.

I am sorry I have to write this, but! IF YOU are going to place your name on a fudge-making outlet, as John Maschal does at his County Kettle Fudge stores on Long Beach Island, the least you can do when your customers purchase $50 worth of your product is to make sure the vanilla fudge you sold him tastes like vanilla, and that the rocky road tastes like rocky road! I spent $50 on fudge that I handed out as gifts back home, and the rocky road tasted like mint, the vanilla tasted burnt, the "Toll House" was more burnt vanilla with a couple of chocolate chips and walnuts thrown in, and the triple-chocolate tasted of mint. The triple-chocolate was the best of the bunch once you got past the initial mint taste. Such an embarrassing gift, but I guess John Maschal's Country Kettle Fudge IS like a box of chocolates...you never know what you are going to get for your $50! Ugh!

An over-priced yet necessary part of any visit to Beach Haven. Come during peak hours so you can see the magic of fudge making. On the Bay side of Bay Village, has been here forever and will probably be there in 100 years! Make sure you sample some of the strager flavors, they're really good! Get your fudge last as it wil melt in your bike basket!

Since my mom is a complete and total fudge fiend I knew that I was destined to find some to bring home for a gift during my Long Beach Island Rendezvous. Fortunately Country Kettle made it fun with their fresh and unique flavors and many gift box offerings. Usually the fudge game will offer your typical chocolate, dark chocolate, peanut butter, and either of the above with nut or marshmellow added. But the Kettle took it up a notch by offering varieties like mint chocolate chip, pistachio, and maple BACON! all are dished out by the pound, but the gift box offerings make it so simple to walk out with several options, that I ended up walking out with 8 good sized varieties for under $25. Add in the solid customer service and samples when needed, and it was a gift well shopped for. Just make sure you don't make my mistake and Yelp check in beforehand so you can get free salt water taffy with your purchase!

I absolutely love this place! I live on the west coast and when I travel to the east coast it's a must go! I really recommend the Oreo mint fudge, it's so flavorful and delicious.

My mom and cousin both sent fudge to me. Both times it arrived stale. The tiny bit that was edible was not good fudge. My mom called about the order she sent me to let them know it was stale. I was hoping they would do the right thing and refund her. My mom had sent the fudge for Christmas and I know it wasn't cheap. They didn't offer to refund her money. They only offered to send another box of fudge. However, they never sent it. Not only do the have bad fudge they are not true to their word. Stay away from this place.

We needed to bring back some fudge for some coworkers so this seemed to be the place to go. I was under the impression that fudge was just that...chocolate fudge...no sir-ee bob... You can have tons of different varieties of fudge. Pistachio, really? It is a cute little place. You can watch the fudge be made too. Sadly I did not try any. I overdosed on Ben and Jerry's prior. It did receive rave reviews from the coworkers.

You know I had to stop in here to get some fudge and salt water taffy before coming home. The place is very pricey but they sure do have delicious fudge...I spent 50 bucks in there and could have spent more. The salt water taffy was very fresh and I got some for gifts as well.

This is probably the best fudge I ever had. I highly recommend the sea salt caramel. They give you large pieces and it's a really cool place.

I've been coming to LBI for years and it has always been a nice place to stop at when shopping in Bay Village. I was there today and was very disappointed. The girls behind the counter seemed to bored to actually help you. Sorry to bother them, but that's why it's called work. Most of the fudge was as delicious as usual, but I purchased a sampler pack and one of the samples tasted like plain sugar as if someone forgot the extra flavoring. I'll give them one more try to see if the staff is any better. Just because the fudge is good doesn't make up for bad service.

Was down in LBI for the weekend for the first time and stopped here after dinner for some fudge to bring home. I wish I had checked in before I left because I would have gotten a free box of taffy! They had TONS of flavors of fudge. I got a box of 6 and it was a little over $19 which I didnt think was bad. They cut the fudge chunks right off the big batches. The only thing that bothered me a little bit was the girls that were cutting the fudge didn't have gloves on. I hope their hand were clean!

Holy fudge! Pardon my French, but this is a must-do when shopping around in Bay Village. Skip the candy store on the boardwalk and make a bee line for this place if you have a giant sweet tooth. (like me, guilty as charged) Their fudge is just wonderful, done right and absolutely delicious no matter what flavor you get. Their good old chocolate and peanut butter fudges are my favorite. Nothing like a huge chunk of fresh fudge to set you back a couple of pounds- there goes that beach body. But who cares, we're on vacation here in LBI so its totally justified (right?). Anyway, you can't go wrong with their fudge whether its for sharing amongst the family, bringing back as a souvenir, or stuffing your face with alone in a dark closet isolated from the rest of society.

OH FUDGE!!! Best place on the island for fudge!! My family and I make at least one trip to CKFS during our stay on the island! Free samples. Amazing smells. Homemade fudge made right in front of you. Fudge.

We wandered in here in here on a rainy night and I felt like a deer caught in headlights. There were too many choices, people in line, lots of folks behind the counter trying to take our order. I couldn't think straight.... I ordered what I thought was a small amount of fudge - 2 different flavors and as I thought out loud to BF the woman just plunked them into a box and handed them to us. UM I was just asking him if he was cool with the flavors, that wasn't a "I'll take that" it was a "hun what do you think of these two?" and he said well I guess it's too late to change as she handed us the box... ah ok I guess... WTF? Then I was more shocked when I got to the counter $11 for this box of fudge! I wanted a taste not a lb of the stuff! Next time (if there is one) I will be clearer with my order. I should add that BF really liked the fudge though and I don't think it's too bad myself.

Tourist trap. Sit on the beach long enough and a plane towing their advert will labour past, exhorting you to come and watch a fudge demonstration (not a live sex show, I'm afraid). Their fudge is excellent with inventive flavours, but what the hell is the deal with their salt water taffy? Being a filthy foreigner, I expected something with such an olde-timey name to be made of edible ingredients. Stupid foreigner. Check this ingredient list: corn syrup, sugar, partially hydrogenated cottonseed & soybean oils, lecithin, mono & diglycerides, salt, natural & artificial (the devil is in the details) flavours, and a whole bunch of colours designed to keep your nails growing after you've popped your clogs. Why does the banana one taste like nail polish remover? Tis a riddle for the ages.

Large selection of fudge and a quick service. They make fudge in the store and it's very fresh. You can try the fudge before buying. My personal favorite is maple pecan.

This fudge shop became my prototype fudge shop. Basically, anytime I smell fudge, I immediately think of the shore. Thanks Country Kettle!

The best fudge in LBI! Also have to grab a box if I'm in the area. They give you free samples which makes choosing which flavor you want even harder since all of them are super delicious. 2 of my favs are Vanilla with Oreo cookie and the Maple Walnut.... Mmmmmm!

omgomgomgomgomgomgomg. This is by far my favorite place to get fudge ever! They are open year-round, but their selection is limited off season. So if you go in the summer and expect the same selection in the offseason you'll be disappointed! but not by much - you still get the same chocolatey fudgey yumminess reserved for this establishment just on a limited scope. I always make it a point to stop here when I'm in the area.

Love their fudge! Hate that they don't use gloves. It's just gross. We bought it and didn't even eat it =( Not one person was using gloves in there. Bare hands on your fudge = ick!

My daughter bought a small box of fudge there and she asked for peanut butter and triple chocolate fudge. She received maple walnut and triple chocolate fudge by mistake. When I called Country Kettle I was told that they would not take back the maple walnut fudge because it was brought home and they would only give us the peanut butter fudge she ordered if we paid additionally for it!!! The maple walnut fudge is right next to the peanut butter so it was clearly a mistake on their part and they would not replace it???? The maple walnut fudge was not eaten!!!! That is poor business. I cannot believe it. I have never heard of such a thing!!! I will never go there again or recommend it to anyone else!!!

Quality fudge with over a dozen flavors to choose from. I went for the Oreo flavor and was quite happy. The shop has a simple interior and the kids working there were open to just shooting the breeze.

I have visited a lot of different Fudge shops and they are pretty much all the same. This location sits in Beach Haven village on the bay side near the water park. It doesn't look like much, but inside they make the fudge fresh everyday at 4pm and they offer more selections than I have ever seen in any shop. Plus they allow you to taste test any selection and sell the fudge in all different sizes allowing mixed boxes. The staff is all young kids but they were very friendly and helpful and offered selections on what their favorites were. We enjoyed buying samples of each however the prices are a bit steep. After all, it is only fudge but these prices were almost like buying truffles. Other than that it was great tasting and a nice treat!

The fudge is very, very good. The service? Not so much. I went there late morning, early afternoon on Friday, August 25th with my husband and almost-year-old daughter. We were looking to purchase some maple fudge for my daughter's birthday; we thought it'd be nice for her to enjoy some for the first time. Unfortunately, the young man who was working at that time (tan, thin, with black rimmed glasses) was extraordinarily rude. I get that customers get in the way of beach time, and God forbid employees have to deal with them, but all we wanted was some fudge and maybe a little professionalism. Instead, this kid looked at us, no greeting, no smile, then looked down at the floor, then looked at us again, and back down at the floor. At this point I was testing him to see if he would ever greet us. He didn't. I finally said, "Hi," and he said, "Hey." Never did he ask if he could help us, or if we were looking for anything in particular, etc. I asked for a half-pound of maple fudge and he got it, and then just handed us the box and stood there. Again, I waited to see if he would thank us for our business, but apparently this was too much to ask, as he never said a word. I was annoyed at his lack of people skills and severe unprofessionalism, so I said, "Thank you," and his response was, "Yup," like he couldn't care less. And he walked away. Either this is a classic case of nepotism, or management holds applicants to incredibly low standards, as his behavior was unacceptable. All my family wanted was some fudge to enjoy for my daughter's first birthday. Instead, we got attitude. It will be a long, long time before we return. I do not see the point in driving so far out of my way to get "service" from moody teenagers who make it very clear to the customers that they'd rather be at the beach instead of working. Standards! Please consider hiring people who actually care about having a job and preserving the integrity of a business. Lazy management = lazy employees.

I can't say I'm the biggest fudge fan that ever walked the Earth, but I was with a group of friends who wanted to go. So in I went and was intrigued by some of the flavors. Asked for a sample of Mexican Mole Fudge and ... had to buy some. Sweet and Hot, how can you not?

When my fiancé told me we were going go LBI this summer, this was the first place on his list! He has been going here since he was a kid, and this was my first time trying the fudge... and HOLY CHOCOLATE was it amazing! If you want Fudge, you go here. End of story! :)

Tried a bunch of their flavors, wasn't really impressed by any of them (except maybe for the java chip). Tastes like straight sugar more than fudge, which might be more acceptable if they didn't have such high prices. The "spicy Mexican chocolate" tasted like nothing but cinnamon and the maple bacon was just bad (and I love bacon). Salt water taffy is okay. Would suggest looking elsewhere for your fudgy delights.

This fudge is fantastic and comes in so many flavors you will want to get the four-pack and bring some home to share with friends and coworkers.

Best Fudge EVER. Every year we end our vacation by taking home the family size box. It is delicious. You can't make a bad choice. My personal faves are the tollhouse w/ walnuts and Rocky Road.

Great place to go with the family. You can see the fudge made at 4:00 PM every day. If you go to see it made you can get it fresh and that is always the best. County Kettle Fudge is a must on LBI. What a great staff and there is an old tan pick up truck out in front of the store. Do this before you leave or trust me you will regret not going.

This place has great fudge, but a sketchy business. Not only is their SMALLEST box $10, but when I saw their ad in the paper there was a coupon at the top for a free box of salt water taffy with the purchase of one pound or more of fudge. Their smallest box is already a little over a pound, so I thought it was free salt water taffy. I bring the coupon in and get a box of fudge, but when I get to the register the cashier tells me the coupon is only valid with the FAMILY size box. I'm extremely shy and I wasn't going to argue over a coupon, so I bought the taffy without the coupon (not to mention: an extra $10). This place definitely takes advantage of being the only fudge/taffy place in the area. Don't come here unless you're desperate for fudge; just don't come with a coupon.

I don't even like fudge normally but they make excellent fudge and it's made fresh on the premises. You can also try before you buy. Try the chocolate with marshmallows and the vanilla with walnuts. Yum!

Yes yes yes and more yes! Look, MAPLE BACON FUDGE!!!! Your invalid is argument! The very fact they let you sample each and every fudge before selecting your choice is worth it already with its robust selections, but how awesomely sweet and fudgey the fudge is. If any of you work there, please send me some fudge here in Orlando....why not open a shop down here by the way??? We got room, plenty of room! If any of you are in the Long Beach Island area in New Jersey, you better NOT leave without going to this place or something wrong with y'all! Go there NOW!

i traveled so far to go try this place because i heard so much about it from my mom and auntie and i was so disappointed with my visit by a lot of things and i will say those things first off, i was excited to see the masterbeaters but there was no one there and i just wanted to see some beating done and when i asked about positions they didnt tell me how to be a masterbeater secondly, that taffy is nowhere resembling laffy taffy and its supposed to be special but i dont see nothing special bout it if it dont taste like laffy taffy where my banana at huh the manager was cool though so 2 stars instead of one star witchhouse \m/

Definitely the best fudge I've ever tried. While other fudge tends to be extremely sugary, Country Kettle makes it nice a creamy. Warning, it can get a bit pricey. A sampler or one with only two flavors can usually be bought for anywhere between $3.99- $8 something. However, anything more can climb into the tens, twenties, and even thirties. If you're buying for the whole family, it's more of a really special treat. About the same as taking them all to ice cream. That being said, it's not too different from the average gourmet fudge place charges and the taste is vastly superior. If you're in the mood for fudge and can afford a treat, Country Kettle's the place to go.

If you want to get over charged for your fudge than go here. I ordered two one lb. boxes should have been $26 but was charged $35 oh chuck said too bad if you want I will shave some off. After two calls to the shop to talk o the owner John first I was told he was there than a second later told he stepped out guess he agrees with over charging his customers. Too bad I urge anyone that reads to boycott this store or you will be ripped off.
