Knocked our socks off! Initially we were confused upon entering if it was truly a buffet experience, but indeed it is once you go to through the back. I don't go to buffets often and found myself piling up my salad plate at the beginning just in case the mains weren't exciting.. of course I was wrong.. everything was amazing. Today there was a delicious pan style pizza bread, delicious pesto zucchini and lovely roasted pumpkin. Truly this place is extremely healthy and nutritious, more than most restaurants. They are extremely generous on the amount of toppings and in general, choices you have every single day. Their vegetables are cooked perfectly, the soup temperature is also just right. Everything is packed with flavor and you will leave full as a tick. Easily my favorite place in Prague, and you should not skip it... Their lattes are also yummy!

A gem in the centre of the city. Big selection of salads, toppings, sauces, protein and soups. Reasonable prices, everything vegan, convenient always-on-hand location, yet quiet and hidden with outdoor seating and fast (buffet) so you can get on with your activities if you need to. It's become a staple in our Prague visits.

(Vegan) food doesn’t have to be bland and tasteless to be considered healthy! I’ve been vegan for 8 years, and this was by far the blandest food I’ve ever had. The staff were great and place looks nice, but unfortunately, that doesn’t make up for how flavorless the food was; especially at those prices.

This restaurant has fabulous vegan food. You can fill your plate and they weigh it. I had a full plate, a slice of homemade cake and a scoop of homemade ice cream followed by a coffee and it was about 13 Euros. I loved the place and the food so much I went twice so here are the 2 photos of what I selected. You have to go here. It is in Praha 1 near Mustek metro station.

It is a fantastic place with great location and facilities. There are plenty of options for food and drinks. If you are into healthy food with acceptable prices then this place should be one of your option. Simply just go and enjoy your healthy meal. Cheers ✨

So, I visited here a while ago and I wasn't too sure what to expect. A buffet-style veggie/vegan restaurant?... My friend and I got here at 4ish - and managed to get a reduced price per 100g! The food was absolutely delicious - super fresh with lots of choices of salad, drinks and even dessert! The lady serving us was also super friendly!!! Thank you for your hospitality. Greetings from the UK🇬🇧

Yelp
I ate there twice in my 6 day visit. The first was on the recommendation of a friend. Delicious and healthy vegan food for very little money. Pleasant atmosphere. It's a buffet and there is plenty of choice. The food is sold by weight. Highly recommended.

Yelp
I am literally Country Life's #1 fan. It's right next to where I have classes and it's such an easy place to go get a meal when you have some free time. It's buffet style which is great because you can choose how much food you get. The best part is that it's so cheap! I rarely spend over $4 (100czk) and am still always satisfied after each meal. 100% recommend Country Life to any vegan, vegetarian, or even meat eater, because they always have options with imitation meat!

Yelp
Although I'm not vegetarian, I like the occasional meatless meal, so I was happy to see this option. The food was mostly good, there was a modest but varied selection to choose from, and it was a good value for the area at $9 for a soup + big plate of hot food + dessert + drink. Two things keep this from being 4 stars. Coming at dinner, it was "happy hour," meaning a discounted flat rate rather than paying by weight. Looking at my receipt, it would have cost $5 more at lunch time, which loses the value. The other ding was the pizza, which compared unfavorably to my elementary school cafeteria.

Yelp
This is a self-serve vegan place which I highly recommend in Prague! Their salad bar is insane with all the fix-ins you could possibly want. Their hot food is delicious with a lot of variety. Definitely try their soy creamy dressing it is simple yet delicious. Plus you get as much food as you want at a decent price!

Yelp
Nice vegetarian restaurant with take-away. Not that much to choose from - you pick your dish yourself and then weigh the total. It goes quick to get and pay your food. They accept card (visa). Dining area is clean and ok but not especially cozy in anyway. You go here to eat cheap and fast.

Yelp
I first came to Country Life - a food court style veggie place - in 2008, when - as far as I know - it was the only vegetarian option in town. Me and my wife were kind of tired of all the meat and just wanted to explore other options. This was mentioned in our guide book, and it was tucked into a corner right near the old square. We found it tasty and refreshing then, and it's not changed much since. A couple of days ago, I decided to go full vegetarian. I could probably have timed it better as Prague still doesn't quite "get" vegetarians. If you don't go to a dedicated vegetarian place, your options are mostly "something with cheese all over it" and people are not aware of calf rennet, so you have to assume that if it's got cheese, it ain't truly vegetarian. SO! Nice to come to Country Life! Where all the options are vegetarian, and quite a few are vegan! You get a tray and some plates and start loading up, anything from beetroot chunks to buckwheat roast via tofu casseroles and veggie pizzas. Most things are simply weighed at the till and off you pop to s table to eat it all. It couldn't be much simpler, though it's sometimes a bit difficult to know exactly what you're eating. They have a good variety of food, and even if you take small portions, you'd be hard pressed to try everything in one sitting, unless you're insanely hungry. The food court style isn't for everyone, and it's not an inviting place to sit for a long time and enjoy yourself, but for a quick lunch it's tasty, reasonable and fully vegetarian! Recommended!

Yelp
My friends got me all excited for this entirely vegan buffet! The evening happy hour is quite the deal: half off your tray after 4pm. The buffet was quiet with a huge selection, so I got a variety. It reminded me of a nice college dining hall, but with much better food. The menu rotates, so my shining stars may not be helpful. The broccoli roll was amazing! The biscuit surrounding it was flaky and tasty. The cooked carrots, cooked veggies, potato patties, buckwheat forced meat, and a dark sauce that began with "h" stood out in my mind as my favorites. I wish they had more meat substitutes like tofu, as it was nearly all veggies. The brothy soup was extra, and was no where near as flavorful as the rest of the buffet and I didn't take more than two spoonfuls. With the soup, it ended up costing more than I expected. Next time, I'll probably take a smaller portion of only a few items, as the selection is overwhelming. I'd love to come here again and experience the changing menu.

Yelp
Country Life is a restaurant where it really depends what time you come there. If you come around lunch time the food looks and tastes fresh. If you come in the late afternoon the food kind of looks unappealing but still tastes good - especially for the very discounted price :) - last time I went there before 7 pm we had meal for two plus a desert and paid 150 CZK - it's a steal for the centre of Prague. The prices are reasonable - there is the happy hours where all of the food is discounted. The shop's sortiment is really good, they have quite nice baked stuff. I always stop by when I walk around have a bit of craving to have a small bite to eat. As some people mentioned the food is not overpowered with spices - in Prague you have basically Country Life vs. Dhaba-Beas (which is full of spices). Choose whichever you prefer.

Yelp
We stumbled upon this place after trying to avoid the many restaurants catering to tourists. Tucked away a bit, however it was exactly what we wanted. We ended up with 3 plates full of food and a dessert for $12. The selection was more than adequate and we were able to experiment with different foods as it is a buffet-style restaurant. A great alternative to anyone looking for a less heavy lunch compared to traditional Czech food. We will likely (surely) return again before we leave Prague. Highly recommend!

Yelp
This place is great! I have no idea why other people have not gave it a better rate. This is a vegetarian place, hence most likely you have to like veggies to like this place? . Anyhow we got 2 plates of food and a vegan dessert for around $12USD. We would have at least pay $30USD, if we purchase the same amount of food in Whole Foods. There is a salad bar and a hot food section. The place is not fancy, but is pretty (who cares about having fancy chairs. I care about the food). The food was delicious. I didn't care much about the dessert, it was ok. Great value, great food. If you are looking for super heavy food like beef goulash, this might not be the best place for you. But, if you are looking for healthy and delicious food that makes you feel great afterwards, you need to try it :)

Yelp
Yeah, the prices are fine, but why do so many vegetarian places think that seasoning is a crime? Salt is a rock, you know, so why not use it? The food is beyond insipid - flavourless, uninspired and sad. And the decor is a joke - it's like some third-rate college cafeteria. Combine all this with a staff that alternates between smug and spaced out, and I just can't see why anyone would go here. Sure, way back in the day, when vegetarian options were super limited. But now? There is no reason to come here at all.

Yelp
Just avoid this place. We came based on a guidebook recommendation, but found the food to be unbelievably bland and tasteless. It's like eating at an elementary school cafeteria, both in terms of food taste and decor. For a much better vegetarian buffet close by, try Restaurace Beas.
