[You can only pay cash here!!] The service here is great and everyone was super knowledgeable about the menu and ingredients!! Great recommendations for our table to try everything too. The schnitzels were made to perfection and we will be coming back for that! The other dishes are just okay. The sauces could be more flavourful since the dumplings didn’t taste like much.. Great portion sizes and came out steaming hot, but the taste was less impressive than the schnitzels. The white bread for appetizer could also be warmed up before serving? I really struggled to spread butter on the slices when both were cold..

A warm, homey spot for comforting Hungarian classics. The portions are massive and are great for sharing. The wooden platter is a must try- you get a bit of everything: two types of schnitzel, sausage, cabbage roll, dumplings, beets, potatoes! They also have a great selection of Hungarian desserts which were also very well priced. Looks small and unassuming from the front but there is a good amount of seating inside! Staff are very friendly and accommodating.

Sadly, this place will be gone forever as of the end of this month (July 2023.) If going for dinner, go EARLY as the line up last week was unreal. This wonderful restaurant has been around for 60 years. If you’ve never had their Weiner Schnitzel, do yourself a favour and go before the doors close forever. I can only hope their closing is like the Who’s final farewell tour, which has happened four times, but I’m pretty sure this is your last chance.

Having been all over Eastern Europe, especially Czech and Hungary, I’ve been searching for a restaurant in the city that does authentic food and this is it! One of my family’s favourite places in the city it’s so good! Schnitzel is massive, cucumber salad is simple yet delicious, pierogies are tasty and even their vegetarian options are solid. Chicken paprikash is like you’re sitting in Budapest! Staff are great, and very attentive. Tried a ton of other so called authentic Eastern European places around the city and this one takes the cake. I’ll be coming back here for many years. I believe it’s cash only so make sure you come prepared

One of the best classic restaurants of Toronto. If you don’t know it yet you’re saying to find out what a delicious treat it is. Bring your appetite and cash! The platter for two is really more for two people... for 2 days. I crave the delicious crispy wiener and Parisian schnitzel‘s, caramelized onion pierogies, cabbage rolls and sauerkraut and the dumplings. My family has been going there for decades. Love going to eat there for it’s cosy atmosphere. Also missing the layered custard cake. Can’t wait to go back in person.

Best schnitzel I’ve ever had! Tried the chicken breast schnitzel which was 10/10 and the wiener (veal) schnitzel which was 9/10. Breading was super crispy. The lemon really adds a nice touch to the schnitzel. Coleslaw was vinegar based but good. Fried potatoes were decent, not super crispy. Mashed potatoes were not super creamy - added butter to it. Would definitely go back. Service was okay - 1 server taking orders and answering the phone. Poor guy was running around. There were about 10 tables on a Saturday lunch hour so we attention wasn’t there. It’s also cash only so be prepared!

Pretty busy on a Father's Day lunch time... Food was pretty good, the platter had everything albeit potatoes were not cooked-frued so well. Final receipt included a 20% gratuity apparently (without former warning..) This place is closing down Aug 1, 2023 (tried to get a final taste from them...)

I love this place, this has always been my favourite restaurant where and when I can’t get home cooked food at home I come here and it takes me back home to Hungary. Everything has its original tastes full of flavour and the quality is far from being beaten. Prices are very fair for the quantity and quality of food.
