Probably the worst hotel expierence ever. - Rooms smell like cigarettes and urine - window was broken open in one of the rooms and the toilet constantly ran - mold throughout the building - HOTEL MANAGER DECIDED TO WALK INTO ROOM AT 1130 AT NIGHT, NO KNOCK & DO NOT DISTURB ON THE DOOR - breakfast sucks - exposed wires laying on floor in room - pizza crust and other foods just swept to the base of the bed when we walked in - Blood? On floor - key cards didn't scan into the room 80% off the time. You have to stand there for 3-4 minutes trying to get into your room And we only spent 2 nights here. We will NOT be back.

Booked the inn for 2 nights but we just couldn’t do it. Got there around 6:30pm, checked in and the horror began. Walked up to our room (219 #beware), opened the door to just gross. The door had clearly been broken into, the chain bolt was popped out, floor was sticky, sink cracked, bathroom moldy with stained tub and shower rod loose. We did not even check to see if there were bugs so can’t confirm but….. Went to dinner, booked another hotel while there, came back, packed up and left. I will be fighting for a refund. To his credit, the office personnel did offer another room but the damage was done. I couldn’t put my kids at risk even if we couldn’t get our money back. So, Please consider your own health and safety when looking at this Inn.

Google
Terrible stay. Front desk couldn't even give you enough time to voice a concern so I called Expedia and I was denied a credit. There was black mold in the room, pubic hairs in the shower, shower faucet not attached at the wall, wall paper coming off, walls never been wiped down, every room had been smoked in. Absolutely disgusting. Spend extra money for your safety as the front door handle was broken too. Did not sleep well at all and left as early as possible. The free breakfast was a joke too. The bagel I got was as tiny as they can get and there wasn't anything else I would eat. Milk was out on the counter in gallon jug. Not sure that's health code acceptable. I'd taste this a zero if I could

Filthy, odorous. The place was awful but we decided we were just going to sleep anyway. but after 30 minutes in the room we both had headaches due to mildew. the carpet was filthy and sticky, the underside of the lid of the ice bucket had mold on it!! The door had been broken down so many times the lock was barely attached. We checked in and went to dinner. When we returned we quickly decided we could not stay, and I offered to pay for one night instead of 2 and this was agreed upon. Then the owner only refunded 1/3 of my payment. he kept $195 of the $330 I had paid. We didn't mess up anything, just in and out.

We stayed here a little over a month, and were very happy with our stay! Our room was very clean, and the staff was awesome -they treated us like family! They are very friendly and accommodating. Really good coffee, and sodas available for purchase in lobby. Would definitely stay here again!

Positive: Very nice for the price and nicely cleaned. Negative: There is always a thing or two but, not to complain about it!

No problem checking in the suits where very clean.

Google
Great location, staff were great also. Rooms are what you would expect from a low cost hotel. Had a water leak under the sink,no tissues or toilet paper but it was super clean, no bugs. Very quiet place.no noise.the only problem I have is they advertise as per friendly and Continental breakfast which they do not serve. And they have a no pet policy.

Yelp
We booked a room here over the summer and according to more recent reviews it looks like nothing has changed. Before I booked the Country View Inn, I thought people who made a fuss about "roach motels" were over exaggerating. How naïve I was. As soon as we walked into our room, we felt grimy. The doorframe looked like it was moldy or dirty, the floors looked like they hadn't been vacuumed in weeks, and to top it all off, we found two dead bugs, one of which was a COCKROACH! An actual dead roach in a motel room. We quickly packed up our bags and put them back in the car. We talked to the front desk to get a refund for our disgusting room, but he told us we had to go through Booking.com to do so since we had booked through them. Long story short, I'm so glad I paid with a credit card because in the end Country View Inn refused to refund us and I disputed the charge via my Chase card. If you've ever watched Hotel Impossible on TV (in which they rescue gross and failing hotels), this place would make the host Anthony Melchiorri lose his mind. STAY FAR AWAY!

Yelp
So I booked this place from Expedia which was quite affordable for $107 for the night. The 4 things very good about this place is the customer service of the lady and gentleman at the front desk. They was very much friendly and down to earth. Number 2-4 is the microwave, refrigerator and cable in the room. That was it to list the good. But the room smelled like mildew when we walked in. We had a 2 queen size bed room (which was really two full size bed and we know this cause we have a queen size at home. We both couldn't fit in this bed comfortably). My wife notice a spot on the far right bed and she slept with her clothes on cause she didn't trust what the bed had in it. The sink isn't in the bathroom which is strange but not uncommon. They should change the name especially being down the room from the Country Inn and Suites from Raddison. I felt extremely itchy after waking up. Either it's the sheets or me but I'm sure it's the sheets. We definitely won't be back and I would suggest no one else return here too. Read the other reviews before you come here.

Yelp
I would suggest before booking here you try the casinos when I came in the room it was ok until I noticed the curtains had multiple Holes on them there was left over food in the fridge and I stepped on left over food from who knows where there was a stain on the shower wall ,i called about it the first thing front desk said was did u call the night before (I did no one answered ) then after room service came the stain was still on the bathroom my boyfriend had to clean it off ,THE couches and chairs had stains all over it I didn't sit on them at all ,the only good thing is that I was able to get last minute because everything else was booked but I recommend you do not stay here until they get cleaner and it don't make any sense because the place is nice ,it's just a little too dirty for them to be charging the way they do !

Andrew R.

Yelp
So I called the hotel and explained I was from out of town and needed a room and would pay for early check in. I tried to book online but the room would not reserve. With a valid ID and cash in hand, why was I told no, that I could not stay there? What kind of shady, illegal hotel is this?

Yelp
It is very very dirty I will never get there again, they didn't change the sheets and towels and the pictures for my arm and feet ,a lot of bugs there, plz don't book there, hopefully it will help

Yelp
If I could give 0 stars, I would. This is somewhat of a long story but I really suggest you take my experience into consideration before being scammed out of money and treated like garbage. My boyfriend and I booked three nights here through Hotels.com, paid for in full because we were having an emergency and needed somewhere to stay last minute. Upon arrival the outside was seedy and dirty looking, all of the windows in every room were left open and it was unclear who was in charge in the front office. We get to the room, its in this weird side hallway thing attached to another room. When we walk in, the air was so stuffy and smelled bad due to them keeping the window open in 90 degree summer heat and turning the AC completely off. My boyfriend was using the bathroom and I was putting our things down when I spotted multiple stains on the comforter. I looked closer and my suspicions were correct, it was 100% SEMEN. No doubt about it. I'm not joking. Body fluids all over this comforter. I screamed and showed my boyfriend, we immediately picked our stuff off the floor and went down to the office to demand and full refund and leave at once. The man at the desk (his name was "Sam") didn't seemed shocked nor concerned when we told him there was literal semen on our bed comforter. When we told him we need a full refund and will be leaving, he pretended as if he didn't hear a single word we just said and replied "I will have the comforter changed".......yeah, a little late for that. We told him no thanks and that we're leaving. He then offered to change our room and we, again, declined angrily. We never received a SINGLE apology for this from him or his colleague "Nick". Not to mention they LIED to hotels.com about how much we paid for the 3 nights so our refund through Hotels.com was less than half of what we originally paid. Jokes on them, we called the credit card company and disputed the transaction overall. They won't be getting a cent from us. Please, avoid this place at all costs. They will completely rip you off and will pretend they don't speak good enough English when you have a legitimate complaint. I am also looking into calling/notifying a county Health Inspector as well. I was very close to throwing up I was so disgusted by this place. Let's hope they get what's coming to them.

Yelp
This has to be the absolute worst hotel my husband and I have ever stayed in. First, let me state that we booked our stay with Hotels.com (horrible) we arrived a little early around 12:45 pm. We were told by the front desk receptionist that we weren't allowed to check in early unless we were willing to pay an additional $10.00 fee ????!!??!?. We had already paid $106.74 for (1) night. That's so awful for that price noting all the other hotels on the same strip were approximately $48-$58 a night on weekends. The room was not cleaned properly from previous guest(s), the remote control for the television didn't work. She stated, if we were interested in continental breakfast it would clearly be $10 additional...REALLY!!!Why the hell would we want food from there....No Thanks. We will never stay there again or recommend anyone... #DISPICABLE #DISGUSTING #DISGRACEFUL

Yelp
Terrible. Swamp water pool (green water) the eggs for breakfast taste like plastic (barely any good breakfast) Beds were dirty, nasty pervert kids looking through the GIANT windows at me and my sisters in bathing suits. Disgusting. The tiles were yellow, the tv was barely even working, had roach traps under the cabinet. BLEH! If you have plans for going there, here's a very important tip, DONT!!!

Yelp
My husband and I booked a room thru Booking. Com for a week, through the Memorial Day weekend. The room cost about $882 because of the holiday. We took a cab from the train station to the Motel in Galloway, about 20 minutes away and an expensive ride. When we tried to check in, the Indian owner refused to give us a room! First he said, we can only stay for 5 days, we booked for 7 nights. Then he told us he just canceled the reservation, without any discussion or reason. My husband is disabled from a massive stroke and I'm not sure if that was the reason but I'm guessing yes. I immediately called booking.com with all our luggage and the cab outside, and was told a refund would take 5 business days. Mind you, this was the Thursday before Memorial day weekend and everything was booked and super expensive. We put out $882 we had been saving for this trip and as I said my husband is disabled and has a fixed income so we had to search for a different motel still running the meter on the cab. Plus we didn't have a lot of $. Almost all were booked. We were able to find the last room at a nice hotel, but just for Saturday it was $200. So we cut our trip 3 days short and went home on Monday. A very disappointing experience. DO NOT go to this Motel!

Yelp
You get what you pay for. Got a Friday night room for about 100. About a 15-minute drive to the boardwalk (taking Route 30, not the AC Expressway) on the north end. Had no problems checking in. Room was small, but had two queen beds and a functional bathroom. Beds weren't that comfortable, but slept well enough. Simply handed over the key to the owner when checking out; that was convenient. I've encountered no extra charges (yet), so I assume everything's kosher. There's an online offer for a Denny's coupon with reservation. It's 20% off, but you need to have your room key to take advantage of it. We checked out as soon as we woke up, so we couldn't take advantage of it. Oh well. Best to come here with the expectation that you just need a place to sleep, and you have your own wheels to get around. I can't help but laugh at those who book the jacuzzi room here... sorry.
google avatar

Stephanie C.

Yelp
Stayed here twice! First time I booked a king with a jacuzzi tub. Room was a little out dated. Bed was comfy, room smelled nice and clean! The second time I booked a room with double beds. The beds were VERY uncomfortable! It was like sleeping on the floor. And had no fitted sheets. I wouldn't recommend the double bed room.
google avatar

Rebecca S.

Yelp
We booked through Kayak/Booking.com & paid the rate quoted on the website. Rooms are clean & smelled nice but the furniture is a little dated. Jetted tub worked really good, AC worked really well, plenty of towels, not a lot of outside noise. Staff was friendly & very polite. Bed was comfortable & water pressure was very good in the shower. The property had a smoking area. We do recommend confirming the rate quoted for room booked at the front desk when checking in to avoid any surprises.
google avatar

Allen D.

Yelp
Very clean. Pleasant safe. Very affordable. Just outside of AC. And they have a nice little continental breakfast in the morning.. and very inexpensive and clean

Shawn C.

Yelp
Cannot reiterate the other reviews here enough. The places stinks to high heaven, the front desk guy knew it and made it clear he didn't care, about the smell or his patrons. They lied to me three times in the first five minutes I talked to them. Find another place, literally any other place. Absolutely a horrible experience.
google avatar

Yelp
I made a reservation for a check in on a Friday because we were potentially going on a trip. We decided not to go, and I called to cancel the reservation on a Wednesday. I was told that I would be charged a 1-night + tax "penalty" for cancelling because it was less than 2 days. Their cancellation policy reads "modify or cancel by midnight 2 days prior". I took a quick poll around my office to make sure I wasn't crazy. Count on your fingers with me... Wednesday - 1 day. Thursday - 2 days, Friday - 3 days. Midnight 2 days prior is Wednesday at midnight. Thursday would be too late. Nope!!! Not according to them. I sould have cancelled on TUESDAY to avoid the fee. WHAT??? I spoke to the "manager" (a man with a HEAVY Middle-Eastern accent) and within 60 seconds of trying to explain he was yelling at me, telling me that if I didn't like it then "THAT'S YOUR PROBLEM!". He wouldn't listen, loudly talked over me, cutting me off every time I spoke. In addition to the fact that I'm being charged a 1-night + tax penalty, they also authorize your credit card for your entire stay 48-hours before arrival. So I have an auth. on my bank check card for $274!!!!! I have contacted their corporate office regarding the wording of the cancellation policy and the way that the manager spoke to me. We'll see what happens...
google avatar

Candi B.

Yelp
I got a really good rate on Hotels.com. Had the room booked. When the hotel saw the rate I got they cancelled my reservation without my permission. I called immediately to fix the situation and neither the hotel nor hotels.com would honor the rate I was given.

Yelp
STAY AWAY - THEY ARE CROOKS!!! I had booked a reservation for this hotel September 4th and check out September 5th, 2016. Due to tropical storm Hermine, the Mayor of Atlantic City cancelled all beach concerts (http://www.fox29.com/news/200345866-story). I called to cancel the hotel on the morning of September 3rd as soon as we found out and got our Ticketmaster refund. They REFUSED TO REFUND ME. I had booked the hotel weeks before hand, was cancelling due to SEVERE WEATHER WARNINGS and these thieves still refused to issue a refund. They even told Hotels.com that it was "same day booking" which is a straight up lie because 1) I was calling approx 36 hours in advance and 2) I have proof it was booked on August 4th, 2016. I was not about to drive 3 hours in a storm with my husband and 1 year old daughter just to stay in this hole-in-the-wall. You should be ashamed yourself for stealing money from a family.

Yelp
My husband and I stayed here for one night before meeting our family for a week vacation at the Jersey Shore. While we booked this motel with the expectation that it is "only a place to sleep for one night," it was extremely disappointing. Upon arriving at two and expecting to be able to check right into our room (because two o'clock was the check in time noted in the email confirmation), the man at the front desk told us to come back at three and shoved at us two Denny's coupons and told us to go eat. We weren't hungry. We were tired and wanted to clean up and rest. So, after some frustrating back and forth, he handed over a room key. Our room was in a tiny back corner of the motel. (Probably because the front desk was mad at us). There was one large fluorescent light that hummed loudly and one or two "pot lights" that did not work. The sink was TINY and propped up by two wooden planks. The toilet and shower were crammed next to the sink and the door separating the toilet/shower from the sink had clearly been punched through. We booked a queen bed but only received a full size. When we turned down our bed sheets, we saw red stains on one side. So, I called the front desk and asked for a new set of sheets. A boy delivered a clean fitted sheet (which really wasn't fitted or entirely clean but it was better than the first set) and he STOOD there and watched us remake our bed before snatching the dirty sheet from us!! What customer service! Other highlights of the room included gross gunk smothered across the TV, a very loud AC unit, a dirty, small fridge and disgusting grimy spots all over the wall/baseboards. I find it extremely difficult to believe this place opened (or was renovated) in 2009. Management clearly doesn't keep up with the cleanliness of the rooms. Overall, I felt itchy all night. We ended up paying under 100.00 for the room on a Friday night in AC during the summer season, so I guess the price was right. We did enjoy a day shopping at the nearby AC outlets (because I sure as heck wasn't spending a day in that hotel room!). If we had to do it over again, we'd pay the extra 20 bucks and stay at a reputable, clean and friendly hotel--of which there are plenty on the same strip of highway. Here, you get less than what you pay for.

Yelp
I stayed there for a week and it was a pleasant surprise to see clean rooms, updated tv and ambiance. The free Wi-fi really works and has good service at all rooms. Do not expect to be in a 5 star hotel, because this is one motel that has good amenities and clean rooms / bathrooms. But the overall experience is pleasant. I have stayed in others that are close to it, and similar setting, and this one definitely stands out for being a nice and clean experience. I plan on staying there for my future needs .

Yelp
I'm really surprised after reading all of these old negative reviews. I guess they switched owners because our stay this past weekend was excellent. -The staff was super friendly and courteous. -Room was decently sized for a one night's stay -Bed was more comfy than the bed we stayed in at Harrah's the night before (hurt my neck) -Very easy check in and check out and we even arrived 15 minutes before check in with no problem. I will definitely stay here again, especially since the room cost me 55 on expedia

Yelp
Stayed here for 2 nights while visiting Atlantic City for the weekend. Paid over $400 for two nights which I feel is a bit pricey. But for the most part got what we paid for. The bed was comfortable and we were upgraded to a King Bed room upon check-in which was awesome. Very clean & man at front desk was very attentive and genuinely cared. Maid service came when needed and room remained very clean. Brought our own pillows to sleep on just due to personal preference, but the pillows they had seemed very comfortable and fluffy but firm! Everything worked in room and the shower was average; water pressure was good. The only complaints I have besides the price was that the cloth shower curtain had a bit of mildew on the bottom and the towels provided were kind of dirty and we ended up just using our beach towels because I didn't want to trust the towels they had. The walls of both the bedroom and of the bathroom could use an update; messy paint and staples on wallpaper in some spots that must of came off. The room had a very nice window and also had a roomy dresser, very nice & big mirrors, rails to hang towels and clothing along with hangers provided, an ironing board which came in handy, night stands on both sides of bed, lamps that put out a comforting & warm light, very clean sheets and carpets, great flat-screen TV and lots of channels. The main light was LED and too bright so we did not use that one but the lamps were great. We also loved that it was a non-smoking facility altogether & there was a $250 fine if you smoked! Made for a good and safe night's sleep and definitely will look back to this hotel for next year's vacation and will most likely be returning!!!

Yelp
Average motel, but newer and clean. Flat screen TV. Continental breakfast. Staff was a little rude, not very pleasant to deal with. Price is good. 10 minutes from Atlantic City, minutes off the Garden State Parkway.

Rayne L.

Yelp
If could rate 0....we had this booked for days. Got in a little early. The guy couldn't find my information with my photo id in his hand. He kept wiping his nose with his hand....he wouldn't let us in til exactly 3. And when I finally got my id back he had snot all over his hands holding my license. Disgusting! We didn't even come back at 3.

Yelp
My husband and I stayed here for the past two nights. The motel was 20 minutes away from Atlantic city and Ocean city (Ocean city was such a better city overall, but Atlantic city was nice at night on the boardwalk). The motel room was very clean but could use some updating. You get what you pay for though, cheap but clean towels and sheets. They had free wifi, that was pretty fast. The staff was super friendly and helpful. We got the breakfast for $5 per person per day, and the front desk lady even made waffles for us(totally unexpected!). This is a great place to stay if you can't afford a fancy hotel!

Yelp
Booked this hotel for a week in a regular two-bed room, and we still have one more awful day here - I don't even know why we haven't gotten a refund and went somewhere else yet. I'm a local that lives here in Galloway, but needed to get a hotel with my family while we move from one house to another. To start, when we booked the room, the manager made an attempt to rip us off and charge us much more than their website price for the week - we could've easily booked it right then and there in the office and let him know, so he decided to cooperate. The room was for THREE ADULTS AND TWO CHILDREN UNDER 3 YEARS OLD. The next morning they're standing outside our door, trying to look in and as we're carrying our 4 month old baby out, the manager tries to argue that the room is only for two adults. So, my father calls him from work to argue and ends up proving we're right and he leaves us alone. Second, when we check into the room, the showerhead is rusty, both beds are broken and fold like tacos, bathroom door handle broken, door doesn't lock right, and on the tv, the sound is faster than the picture. Not to mention they monitor the internet connection for the rooms, slowing it down if you watch two 10 minute videos or something every day (good luck watching more than two videos, they slow it down to the point where the videos don't load anymore), and the air conditioner doesn't keep the room cool very well. We leave to go to work and what have you, and come back and the bathroom doorknob is mysteriously fixed, but nothing is out of order. We have a Do Not Disturb sign on the door, but they came in and fixed it anyway...not too bad, but still coming in when nobody's there when they aren't supposed to. Then, we come back a few minutes ago and the door is unlocked. Our sign is still on the door, and we're sure we locked it before we left. Upon coming inside, all the appliances are turned off, or unplugged, or what have you. My father's bag of medicines (for thyroid, blood pressure, etc) has been gone through, too. I send my husband to the office, and they admit coming in to "save some green" and turning everything off: again, without permission and with the Do Not Disturb Sign on the door. There's so much more to complain about and good reasons why nobody should EVER stay here, but alas, it's far too much to write out for you all. If I could give this place 0 stars I most certainly would. Entering without permission, trying to steal/cheat you out of extra money, invading people's privacy, broken appliances and furniture, and harassment. If you're looking for a place to stay just outside of Atlantic City, trust me, there's a good 15+ other hotels right here within walking distance!

Yelp
I'd like to say that I stumbled upon the Country Hearth by accident back when they first opened and it has been my go-to spot for overnight stays near Atlantic City ever since. I've come with friends, my spouse and there were times where I was just by myself - it suits all occasions. The one thing that characterizes this place above others is that it is CLEAN and FRIENDLY. The offices in which you get your room key, the rooms, the surrounding grounds - everything is properly taken care of, there aren't any odd stenches or stained walls, no trash or debris and everything feels as though you are in a safe place. I've never been greeted with any less than a genuinely kind and inviting welcome when I come to stay and when I check out. If you're looking for a hotel with over-stated elegance and tons of "amenities," you should expect to stay on the strip and pay your $200/night to feel like the spoiled American character you think you need to overnight as in order to enjoy yourself. However, if you're looking for a place that is simply amazing for a comfortable overnight stay and you don't necessitate anything more than the standard TV, bed and bath - this is your place. I can afford to stay elsewhere, I could be picky and want more than I need .. but ever since I discovered the 'Hearth, there just isn't any getting-by the fact that for approximately $70 (post-taxes) you can stay in a warm, clean, quiet and comfortable room while totally skipping the annoyance of staying at a big hotel and the price tag that comes along with it. Whether it's 1-night or a 5-day stay, I'd recommend Country Hearth to any rational consumer. -Zach Bennett, Pennsylvania

Yelp
Please do yourself a favor and stay anywhere else. This place is beyond disgusting, and quite frankly it's the hidden stuff that worries me the most. I stayed here (was planning on 2 nights) and made them change the sheets as soon as I checked in because there was blood on the sheets. The girl at the front desk became very defensive and told me that it was not blood and basically that I was insane for thinking as much (I have photos). The next day I came in to stay for the night and guess what there is bed bugs crawling on the sheets! (I have video!) This place was the most disgusting room i've ever stayed at in my entire life. I truly regret spending the first night there, but I didn't see any bugs until the next evening. Additionally, when I recorded my conversation with the front desk the girl tried to smack me and grab my phone out of my hand, so I called the police to report the assault from her. Stay far away and save yourself the trouble!!!

Yelp
Starting from the beginning of the check in was a nightmare!! The desk clerk SAM was very rude and acted like he owned the place. Would not even consider early check in even though the hotel only had one car in the parking lot. Being a National Motivation speaker, I stay at hotels all around the country and never experienced someone like him. Threatened me by saying "Hey man ... don't push me" ... what kind of a remark is that from a desk clerk. All I wanted was an early check in. If I have choices of Holiday Inn, Hyatt, Marriott, Wynn hotels ... moving forward Country Inn is last on my list. Although, Radisson hotel are great!! I can't say how the room is as have not checked in as of yet, however based on the reviews, I think this is a place you should avoid. Walk out if you encounter SAM ... nothing good will happen with him.

Yelp
Don't be fooled by the Grand Opening sign hanging on the building or the website that states this is a newly built hotel. My family and I stayed here for two nights. Although it states that it is a non smoking facility, there was a man smoking a cigarette on the balcony directly in front of our room when we arrived. The room is small for four people. We had to request towels each day because, although we had booked for four people, they only gave us two. Warning: there is no complimenrary breakfast! They charge $5 per person! At check in they don't make that clear. Overall, not a bad place, but I wouldn't stay there again.

Yelp
It was our first time here and it was worth it- quiet and right next to Denny's. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean- I will definitely book again! AND the staff was very nice to us!!

Yelp
Booking this hotel was the biggest mistake I have ever made. Over a month and a half ago, I put in a reservation with this place through Expedia. When I got to the front desk, I handed them my printed out itinerary and credit card, and the lady behind the desk looked at the guy standing next to her, I think he was the owner, handed back my stuff and said "Sorry, your reservation was cancelled for today". When I asked why, they said my "credit card was declined and that they sent me an email last night". Funny thing was, I never gave Expedia a credit card number, it was a pay when you get there reservation. Well, when I pulled out my phone to show them I never received an email they said they would pull it up on their end and that "they didn't send it to me, Expedia did". They pulled up an extremely bogus and fake looking email that was dated THAT day at 1 in the morning!!! Of course, being extremely upset, I asked them how could they not call me, I would have given them a card over the phone, and how could they accommodate me, considering I never got said email. That's when they said they were booked, couldn't help me, but could "hold me a room at their other location down the street". Guess what the reviews were on that place? HORRIBLE. All of the reviews said there was mold and bugs. Yeah no thanks. Now, I know Atlantic City is a rather large place, however we were there for a 40,000 person event and pretty much every hotel with a good review was sold out or $500 a night. Thats when we thought it would be best to call Expedia. Long story short, after being on the phone with them for 3 hours and have spoken to many supervisors, it was confirmed that this hotel did not actually send us an email. They lied. They never told Expedia they were cancelling my room, and Expedia never sent us any email as they claimed they did. What they think happened was they sold my room to someone who was willing to pay double or triple the price that I was, and just cancelled mine, because they were receiving other similar calls about this place from people having the same complaint. Thankfully Expedia was willing to give us a free credit for our trouble and friends of ours staying in Atlantic City let us stay with them so we weren't stuck at this hotels run down recommendation down the street. Best advice I could give to anyone thinking about staying here, is don't.

Yelp
I am an commercial airline pilot that often stays here when commuting. Many pilots stay here, The office people are very friendly. The rooms are clean and do not smell like old cigarettes like many of the other hotels. There is free Wifi, microwave, mini-fridge and a full spectrum of TV channels. Nearby are plenty of places to eat, fast food, local owned, grocery store and wine/beer/liquor, The hotel is quiet and has lots of business - a testament to its popularity.

Yelp
We stayed one night on a casual weekend trip to Atlantic city. The beds are typical of an affordable motel - but the rooms were clean and spacious and the staff was incredibly nice! Also- tv has over 300 channels including HBO!

Yelp
This was the worst experience in hotels ever. We booked the jacuzzi room for our stay. The room was good when we walked in, appeared clean and such. Then we were sitting there eating our lunch and saw a roach run across the floor ! Disgusting! My husband trapped it in a plastic cup and put it down on the front desk, the Indian lady working said it must have come in from outside and she wouldn't do anything about it. There was a gap under the door so my husband told me maybe it did come in.sooo no matter how unlikely I thought it was(like there is a herd of cockroaches waiting to sneak under the doors.) we put a towel under the door blocking it. When we woke up the next morning we were getting ready to head to the beach when we saw another one!!a huge one! We left and will never ever ever go back there again. Disgusting room and even more appalling staff

Yelp
I booked a reservation on-line week before Labor Day weekend based on good reviews and was looking forward to staying here after some AC entertainment. I booked using my credit card and tried checking in late Saturday night and found to my surprise the front lobby was locked with 'no vacancy' sign. I knocked and tried calling their number and nobody picked up the phone. I went next door to Ramada and called it a night. When I called the next day to confirm the cancellation, the Indian gentlemen rudely told me they would still charge for the night. In addition, they informed me the front desk was staffed 24/7 which was clearly not the case. In the end, they sold my room, charged me for the room, and told me to 'Go ahead, go talk to your credit card company, we don't care.' Stay away from this place

Yelp
Let's rate this place on the price. We stayed here 2 nights with a hotels.com reservation of $27 a night. Taxes and "Fees" came to $88 Look, no one comes to your room with warm slippers and fresh Egyptian cotton robe but the basics are solid. Everything looks super cheap but you get a room with comfortable mattress, smell free, bug free' w cable tv flat screen, coffee maker and fridge. -Good water pressure in the shower and plenty of hot water, comes with soap and shampoo although many will want to bring their own. It has everything you want for a budget motel. The towels are the cheapest white towels money can buy. They could have gotten a five star from me except there was no thermostat in the room. You have to manually turn heat on and off. When et arrived in 20 degree weather it was probably 50 in the room. We had to turn the heat on and wait for it to warm up. The heaters work well and the small room heats up quickly. So if you have the heater on and go to sleep, you're going to wake up in the middle of the night and turn it off at some point, took a star for that but otherwise excellent for the money.

Yelp
Do not waste your time. The savings are not worth it. My booking was wrong, I had to spend $10 extra for an additional bed. My money was taken out early. I was hoping to check in early (was worth a shot) and was told my room was still being cleaned. Well that was a joke because it certainly did not look it. There was a dead hermit crab on the floor. The wifi was not great and the wiring for the cable was just as bad. The railing going upstairs was loose. The "parking" around back was a joke. The curtain was failing off. They charge you $5 if they feel that you stain their linen so we ended up going down the street to a store and buying our own and there was only 2 for 3 people. The ice machine, vending machines, washer and dryer were out of order. The microwave didn't heat up a thing. The outlet and plug for the heating/ac was melted

Yelp
Good, clean budget motel option in a safe neighborhood in the Atlantic City area - recently renovated. an easy 15 minute drive to the casinos in A.C., a 10 minute drive to the AC airport . Stayed here for 3 weeks after starting a new job in the area while looking for an apartment.. Room had iron and ironing board, coffee machine with coffee replaced daily when I used it, a small microwave and refrigerator, flat screen TV with a decent selection of channels, pretty reliable and easy to use wireless internet (the internet connection stopped for awhile on a couple occasions during my 3 week stay, but other than those 2 brief episodes functioned well.) A lot of good and inexpensive restaurants nearby, a good Indian restaurant next door with a good lunch buffet and a Denny's a couple doors down the street where guests get a 20% discount with the roomkey.. the "continental breakfast" is only served on weekends, or at least in the slow winter season that is the case, it consisted of coffee, an "orange juice" which was really I think Tang, a couple types of little sweet muffins, cheerios and Fruit Loops, and milk.. there is not a dining area for this modest "breakfast", but trays are provided so one can take one's items to one's room for consumption.. This is a budget motel, the soap bars provided are very tiny and the blanket on the bed is pretty thin (in winter you might want to bring your own wool blanket with you).. Daily room "service" is a bit perfunctory, towels are changed if needed, soap and shampoo and coffee are provided if they have been consumed, but the bed is not made daily necessarily... Bed was made about once every three days (although I assume it might be made more often if one requested persistently) . Anyways, the price is quite reasonable, the location is good, and the room was clean and pleasant, so I found this to be a good option for my extended stay.. I think for those on a budget and wishing to visit the casinos or in the area for work, this is a good option also..

Yelp
Clean, modern, and quiet. Great place to stay for a night or two if you are in town visiting family or need a place to stay to get to the AC airport early.

Yelp
There are a lot of bad reviews that made me feel reluctant to begin with. Anyhow, there are also a number of good reviews just 2-3 months before I went. So I gave it a try. I think I went right after recent renovation. My room was almost brand new. The carpet was super clean. The bed was comfortable. Bathroom was clean. Hot and cold water as it should be. Flat screen TV with many more channels than many 5-star hotels. There are a small fridge, a microwave and a coffer maker in the room with choices of coffee and decaf. It is the type that you can insert the pre-made coffee tray to brew and use a provided cup to receive the coffee. So some complained about no coffee pot, that is not the case actually. There are also a hair dryer, an iron and a board. It was such a surprise for a budget hotel. My price was also breakfast included. And it was not only muffins and coffee as some said. There are a lot of other items too, but some were covered with clothes which I guess to avoid direct sunlight.

Yelp
***** FRAUD ALERT!!!! ***** I made a reservation on1/27/17 on the hotel's direct website for a 1 night stay that was supposed to be on the evening of 2/24/17. My plans changed and on 2/18/17 (6 days on advance) I called the hotel's location direct to cancel my reservation. They told me I could not cancel with them and that I had to call the 800 number of the corporate offices to cancel. I did that and received an e-mail immediately that my reservation was in fact cancelled. On 2/23/17 (the day BEFORE my original reservation) I was charged the full amount of the booking. I noticed the charge on 2/27/17 and immediately called the same 800 number to ask why I was charged and to receive a full refund. They told me that they don't handle the charges, only the reservations, and to call the location direct. I was very upset at being given the run around and asked the 800 number people to verify whether or not they actually sent the cancellation to the hotel before I tried calling them. They did verify that the hotel did in fact receive the cancellation and mentioned that I never should have been charged. They also told me they didn't understand why the hotel's direct location did not take my cancellation to begin with and said they totally could have. I immediately called the hotel directly to ask for a refund and the man who answered the phone with a very heavy Indian accent told me I was charged because they never received the cancellation. When I called his bluff and told him that I new that he was lying he became belligerent and stated "we refunded your card on 2/24/17". I again told him I did not believe him and that he was committing credit card fraud. He started screaming at me and then hung up on me. I called back again and told him I wanted a refund and again he hung up on me. I called my bank immediately afterwards and they confirmed for me that I was charged the day before my actual reservation was even supposed to take place and that there was NO REFUND that was in process on my account. They are now on alert with Bank of America for FRAUD!!!!!! To the owners of this hotel who are probably reading this, YOU MESSED WITH THE WRONG LADY!!!!!! I hope it was worth it.

Yelp
My fiance and I travel to Atlantic City every couple of months for either a night or a long weekend if we can get away. I am always concerned about the cleanliness and safety of where we stay. I found the Country Heath Inn online just about a year ago and called and spoke with the Manager (Nick). What a pleasant and honest man! He said that the motel had recently been renovated and reassured us of the cleanliness. After comparing prices and reading reviews, we decided to give the "Country Hearth Inn" a try, it was only for a 1 night stay. When we checked in, we were quite pleased with the staff and the cleanliness of the room. Every room has a flat screen TV, refrigerator, and the showers are always hot. Checkout is also later than most of the other places we contacted! The price is very good, you will also receive a discount for Denny's after you checkout. You will not be disappointed. Since then, we have stayed there on three additional visits and will not look to stay anywhere else.

Yelp
The place was very clean and comfortable. The continental breakfast that was included was very extensive. The management at the front desk was over-the-top accommodating. I highly recommend this cute little reasonable motel

Yelp
Checked in yesterday when I got to the room at the end of a small dark hallway. The room looked nice at first glance. Went to put my clothing away and the top drawer did not open. Went to check the bed for bedbugs only to find there was no blanket on the bed. I called the front desk and they told me they had them at the front desk and I could pick one up. Then I went to lock the door only to find no dead bolt lock on the door only a chain lock. The same kind you would have at your home. As a lark I went into the hallway to see if I could open the door with a credit card slipping it through the crack of the door frame and door. NO SURPRISE I GOT IN. This hotel IS NOT SAFE AND BLANKETS SHOULD NOT BE AN ITEM YOU HAVE TO REQUEST. In conclusion I have worked in hotels for over 30 years as a Director of Housekeeping I never seen anything like this before. My husband and I checked out immediately.

Yelp
Recently had the misfortune of staying at this hotel. We were afraid to move about the room without shoes on! The towels & sheets were all stained. When we asked for more towels we were treated rudely & hung up on. We were uncomfortable sleeping on the sheets, so we took off the comforter & top sheet & layed down our beach towels to sleep on. We covered our pillows with t-shirts too. We got up at 5 AM just so we could get out of their asap. Pictures on-line were VERY misleading. Not worth the over $200 we paid for 1 night. We were unable to contact customer service to complain because the email address they gave us didn't exist!

Yelp
Stayed here 1 night July 4th sat nt since I couldn't get a room compt at the casinos because of the holiday weekend. It was "o.k".. It's more of a motel then a hotel. Very basic rooms. The sheets seemed clean, the a.c pumped very well we had to lower the temp twice... I paid $208 after tax and fees on Expedia.com which was high for this room but it WAS a holiday weekend.. Shower was clean. I did see 2 dead bugs on the floor of the bathroom.. I didn't want to look too hard because if they were roaches I would have freaked out therefore, I didn't investigate it since I knew I was "stuck" staying there regardless of what they were. It was just one of those situations where I was better off not knowing lol.. They did have a flat screen with Cable. If you really itching to gamble and can't get a room I guess I'd stay again in a pinch, just not sure if I'd pay $200+ a night ... More like $120 tops.. I checked in late like 10pm and asked for a 12 check out instead of 11 and they didn't hesitate to say yes. I think they may offer some kind of muffins and coffee in the morn but we opted to have breakfast at Dennys which was a few blocks down on way to the Casinos..
