I was trying out a LOT of things in order to bring family when they visit. It's a meat and 3 but I ordered 2 extra veggies to try. Hand breaded chicken fingers, squash casserole, hashbrown casserole, deviled eggs, baked mac n cheese, fried okra, roll and sweet tea. 😋 It was great. Some of it reminded of family dinners. I would recommend and will go back to try other things.

I try to find the positive in most situations, but I have very little nice to say about this place… PROS veggies and sweet potatoes were fantastic CONS onion rings are not cooked… see picture Our server took our order and I guess clocked out because we never saw her again… My wife’s chicken was cooked with 0 spices… like not even salt and pepper… this is the south, not England!?!? Size of the “Large burger”, imagine a normal size bun you get at the store. Now imagine the patty you would get if you thought it was a large burger… this thing was as thin as a quarter and the tomato was wider than the patty. I think there was at least salt on the patty, but that’s about it… to say it was mid is an understatement… Price, almost 40 dollars for the most disappointing, un flavored, no service meal is criminal… This place is one of my wife’s childhood memories and it sucks that this memory is now shattered for her… I hope yall don’t have to experience what we did if you chose to come here

We use to love this place. Not sure if ownership changed or what but not for the good. We went in tonight and they served my daughter raw chicken tenders! Not just in the middle raw but pink visible from outside. For four of us we spend around $85 dollars when we go in . And even after raw chicken zero discount was offered. Not good customer service. By the time my daughter got new plate of tenders she couldn't eat the other one because she was just disgusted. We won't be back and thats sad because its one place we all could agree on that we use to love.

Countryside Café is absolutely my favorite place in town to eat! Yes, it’s a small business, but that’s what makes it so special. The interactions from staff are delightful and everyone there is respectful. The food is delicious and the dessert is even more amazing. My wife and I come here at least once a week and don’t regret it ever. If you want good country cooking and happy faces, come here, don’t go to Cracker Barrel, where it’s fake and not genuine.

I don't what they do to the food, but it is the best I have ever had! Whether it is the mouthwatering creamed spinach, fried okra and perfectly seasoned grilled catfish or the banana pudding, it is like no other! Worth the 90 mile one way just to eat there! The service is amazing, they truly work as a team to make sure everything is perfect. Can't wait to go back!!

So my husband and I have just left countryside. Very disappointed. Me being in a wheelchair it’s harder to get in and out of places like this but there was absolutely no way to even get to the door to even try the food. We drove for an hour to eat here. We knew the food must be good the parking lot was packed . We would have been incredibly loyal regulars if we could have gotten inside to a table. But I refuse to try a restaurant by ordering it from door dash if I can’t get in the door. Super disheartening for sure. Would give 0stars if that was even an option we went all around the building and no way at all to get in . All I wanted was to go in sit down and enjoy dinner with my husband . And it was purely impossible!. First, we went by the big swing, which I thought was absolutely beautiful and very well crafted. Then the spiral columns were absolutely beautiful as well, but there was a bench in the way so you could not get through between the bench and the spiral when you go to the other side where there’s another ramp, you have signage there you have like Informational stands there the whole brochures and stuff and the spiral column there and you cannot get a wheelchair through there we tried both ways. We went around the building. See if it was a back entrance. We worked our way around the entire place and there was so much clutter around the entrances that we could not get my wheelchair through There And we tried for 30 minutes so I don’t know how if I call and someone will come out and assist I mean, I know how to operate my wheelchair. My husband does too. I appreciate the offer, but until the clutter is removed from out in front of the building, there’s no way and the parking spots in the front there needs to be one that is left open for someone in a wheelchair to get through but the cement bumper in the front you can’t get a wheelchair between those if I could have then I would’ve been able to make it

We went to the restaurant for lunch today, the food I ordered was meatloaf with Mac and cheese, green beans and okra The meatloaf wasn’t eatable, pink and barely warm. The Mac and cheese was also barely warm. The green beans and okra were good. My wife had turkey and dressing, her dressing had an odd taste. We’ve eaten here usually once or twice a month for the past 15 years but this time is our last.

Food is always tasting good and fresh even if some of it is out of the can, great desserts and choices. A little higher prices especially when your order out and pickup and tip and you’ve spent 30 min driving to find out they’ve left something out! 😡 Friendly folks and atmosphere. I’ll go back but they just need to tighten up on checking orders before they get picked up. And if there is a daily special running on food they will run out of it early, Due to all the Old Heads that go early.
