This place is uniquely decorated and has a relaxing atmosphere to it. You can either dress down or dress up. This bar has the décor to either bring an intimate night for 2 or a casual get-together for 6. The drink menu is large but unique, so there is something for every taste bud. The food menu is short, as this place is very much a small plate bar. If you're looking for restaurant size portions, this isn't the place for that, but the food is actually tasty and tends to pair well with the drinks. Coupe and Stein is a bar for any occasion, and it's definitely worth coming back to.

Such a cute hangout! I went alone on Saturday and was immediately greeted by Riley at the bar. I had the shrimp cocktail which was so fresh and the mango salsa was everything! I had two cocktails the 1901 (my fav) and the Basil-ly (something I forget lol) which were good too. There was a sip & paint event wrapping when I showed up but I will definitely try that out next time they have it. I will be back with my girls. Loved the vibe. Make sure to see Riley!!!!

We brought our daughter here to celebrate her birthday and really loved the vibe of this place. Amazing seating options for great conversations. We had a mini cake that was amazing and the drink menu was fun and had a ton of options. The staff was super friendly. This place may be off the beaten path but worth finding!

This place has such a unique and fun environment! I love the pink piano and all the decor! The staff was also very kind and full of personality! The wine menu was super unique with a lot of variety in options for different price points and flavors! I tried the Bubble Bath and Cosmo Blanco cocktails and both were FANTASTIC!! And their snack menu had good variety too. I will definitely be returning here with some gal pals! I saw them give out complimentary glasses of champagne for the birthday at the table next to me, so it would be a good place for a celebration!

Amazing twists on food and drinks. Prepare for a wonderful journey of taste and treats! Absolutely love their dessert, which changed every week. Cannot recommend the red velvet tiramisu. Their drinks are amazing and tasty. They have tons of bubbly cocktails. Their food is great and the charge board is one the best I've ever had. Stop by for date night or bring some friends for a wonderful time. Also their music is amazing. The decor is fantastic and service is top notch.

Some people mentioned hard to find and maybe bc I went with daylight but here's a few tips. When you come in, drive around buildong to backside of Golden Belt. Park and you will see the outdoor seating for Coupe & Stein. The sign is above the stairs which may lead you to think it is upstairs, it isn't. Look to the right and you'll see ateps taking you down to their entrance. The food/snacks are pretty good. The Carolina Bullets are rather tasty but they absolutely shine when it comes to their dessert. The chocolate tart is one of the best things I've ever eaten. Absolutely ridiculous. Light and delicious. Their cocktails are fun but can run on the sweet side. I prefer their glasses of bubbly for my main drinks and randomly partaking in one of their fun, themed drinks. I got two glasses of Cava for $12!! I am personally not a big espresso martini gal but I tried their salted caramel version served with chocolate chip cookies and...WOW. so good.

Had a wonderful time visiting with my family to celebrate my wife's birthday. Drinks, aesthetic, and service were excellent. Special shout out to Liz for reading our table well and noticing that one of our loved ones who has been feeling sick could use some extra care, making sure they got a nice drink they would enjoy in spite of feeling unwell (they loved it!) That level of attention to detail always warms my heart and creates the kind of memories that will keep me coming back.

Psst... Found Durham's hottest new secret! This hidden gem of a speakeasy is tucked away behind Hire Wire Brewing and serving up serious champagne vibes. 🥂 (Shout out to Lizz the GM for the killer drinks menu!)

Yelp
Such a cute new spot, came here with a friend & we loved it! They have quite the extensive drink menu. Got the: - Pining for Passion (Spirit-free; amethyst grapefruit basil, passionfruit, pineapple juice, lime juice, splash of soda, purple pineapple slice): I simply cannot turn down anything passionfruit-flavored haha. This was delicious, perfectly sweet & tart; I did not miss the alcohol. - Red Velvet Tiramisu: Perfect size to share~ It was delicious! Great balance of coffee flavor, moist red velvet cake, and refreshing cream. Went on a Friday night & it was busy, but not overwhelming. There's tons of comfy space/seating (that's all pink!). Location was a bit hard to find, but basically it's at the back of the Golden Belt building. Really nice service, great ambiance (so pink!). Lots of free parking available. 10/10 would recommend!

Yelp
Really cool vibe at this "Champagne Bar", situated in a basement. As others have stated, feels like a "Pink Speakeasy". Lots of feathers, pink, chandeliers, and rhinestones (including our champagne glasses). Menu included champagne and cocktails, and small bites for food. TIP: Uber really struggles when dropping off and picking up here, helps to put in "The Cotton Room" as your location.

Yelp
I love bubbly so of course I had to check this place out. I came on Saturday around 730pm with a girl friend and we had a good time catching up and enjoying some drinks. We were seated along the wall at a low two top. I had a couple glasses of house bubbles (can't beat $6/glass) and we shared the naan flatbread with shrimp and mushrooms. My friend enjoyed her espresso martini and we spent about an hour and a half there. It's in a good area (with EV charging!) by Hi Wire, Cugino, and an ice cream shop. I enjoyed the bubbles and food but to be honest, I can't quite put my finger on it, something seemed to be missing. Service was decent, not overly friendly, and not necessarily rude, maybe just feeling impersonal if that makes any sense.

Yelp
One of my new favorite cocktail bars in Durham! Obsessed. Could not be more cute. On one hand, I want to tell everyone and their sister about it, it's so cute. On the other hand, I want to keep it on the DL because I don't want it to get too popular that I can't get in! The decor and ambiance is A++ - love the pink and glam of this place. The drinks are EXCELLENT. Tons of great champagne cocktails, other cocktails and wine and spirits. Also a large and yummy selection of mocktails! The food (mostly small plates) is okay but the dessert is scrumptious! Service is friendly. Perfect place to go for a girls night out, bday party or even Bach!!

Yelp
I heard this place described as a "pink speakeasy" and that is pretty accurate. I had seen signs around Golden Belt for this place, but even with signs it is hard to find (it's on the other side from Hi Wire, look for umbrellas and couches and lights). Once you go in the place is very large and feels very fancy (lots of pink and feathers). There were not many other patrons when we went but I think a lot of people don't know it exists. The host and server were both exceptionally friendly (granted there weren't a lot of other people to wait on). I appreciated we got a complimentary fruit bowl. The cocktails were about the same price as other cocktail bars and I was impressed by the funny names. I got "the bathtub" which came with a rubber ducky! I wasn't as in love with the food but they just opened. We had two appetizers and both felt like they were missing something like a dipping sauce. The desserts looked amazing although I didn't try one. As we were leaving the owner (I'm assuming) told us that they are owned by the same people as the Cotton Room one building over and that this bar is the "Coupe" part. Later they hope to open the "stein" part as a beer garden. I look forward to having a new option (especially before lots of people know about it)! There's plenty of parking on that side of Golden Belt and the patio is also dog friendly!

Yelp
I've been wanting to go here ever since it opened and i finally got to have a nice night out with friends! To start the decor is bright and fun! I love the decor with the bright pinks and golds with sequins and the fun furniture. We ordered drinks and popcorn and we did not have any other types of food. All the drinks ordered were really tasty. Our first drink ordered was the pink piano and it was massive. It was tasty but took a while to drink. There wasn't a bad drink in the mix of all the ones we ordered. I like that they have different types of cocktails from the regular ones, to the bubbly ones, to special ones just for the season. The popcorn came in a large order and was tasty. When I went it was garlic parm flavored but they change their flavors. They did have some interesting tapas and food items but we had just came from dinner. The service was great and our waitress checked on us multiple times and we were always asked to refill our drinks. The music stood out the best, with them playing all my high school jams. It was a really fun night out and I want to go back with Family soon!

Yelp
We had read about a new champagne bar opening in the Golden Belt complex in Durham and drove over on a whim on a Saturday evening to take a look. They are on the quieter side away from the art galleries and brewery so it took us a while to find them. Once we stepped inside, it felt like we were in a fancy hotel parlor. Yes, it is a little girlie but also elegant. We tried two sparking wines and a very sweet almond coconut cake, but they also have some light bites and tinned fish. They also have champagne cocktails, regular cocktails, plus wine and beer. Our very pleasant server also brought a complimentary fruit cocktail for visiting in their first few weeks. I give them credit for opening a new concept that isn't like anything like it in the area. Right now they are only open Thurs-Sat but I'm sure that will change as they settle in and find their groove. Definitely check them out.

Yelp
Amazing! It's a vibe. Take pictures, enjoy the drinks and the entire staff. We went for a friend's birthday and it was such a good time.

Yelp
I love the atmosphere and ambience. The staff was very transactional and not personable often speaking amongst each other in an environment that was far from crowded. There was limited seating with 10+ reserved tables that never were occupied in the hour's time I was there. The charcuterie board was nice but the ratios of cracker ham cheese and jelly seemed disproportionate. The Carolina Bullets however were amazing and I would order those again. The location was off the beaten path and difficult to find (opposite side of hi-wire). I know the place is new but I have no desire to be back anytime soon. It falls in the bucket of been there and did that. Good luck!

Yelp
Me and my friend went there last weekend and it's like a speakeasy type of place we had a couple of drinks there and they were pretty good! We tried their red velvet tiramisu and omg!! It was soooooo freaking good! The bartenders were lovely and the place was not too loud and they were playing some pretty good music too!!
