"This all-inclusive whose name means "no worries" in French is a tropical oasis on 35 acres atop the cliffs of Jamaica's emerald coast. British colonial-inspired suites offer Caribbean views and Gilchrist & Soames toiletries, and are decorated with intricate latticework and white woven furnishings. Secluded stone pathways and natural mineral springs make the grounds anything but cookie cutter. Friendly staff give spa treatments in private cabanas at the cliff's edge—it's a beautiful spot in which to be pampered. At Casanova, European cuisine gets a Caribbean makeover, hence dishes like the jerk plantain-crusted rack of lamb."

Amazing resort, with fantastic staff! ||Having been to the Caribbean previously, we tried Jamaica for the first time, and what a treat. Couples San Souci is an amazing resort, where the staff genuinely want to make you feel at home. ||The rooms are spacious, immaculately cleaned with brilliant air conditioning! ||The resort itself is clean and tidy and the two Gala nights (Tuesday & Friday) are well worth being a part of. ||The Palazzina restaurant is a buffet, but with a menu option too, and very tasty food. We ate here most of the week, but did manage to book a table at the Casanova one evening, which served up great food also. It’s definitely worth trying to book a table before arriving as we struggled other than the one evening. ||Carol in the Palazzina restaurant for breakfast serves great omelettes whilst singing some of the classics, a great touch s the morning. ||We decided to sunbathe around the pool, with no issues getting sun beds. The pool bar created a good atmosphere and the daily quizzes from the entertainment team are great to take part in. ||A visit to the spa for a massage is well worth it, and worth booking in soon upon arrival as they tend to get booked up. ||Overall, a great relaxing holiday, would highly recommend.

Always a great time! We come every December. Staff is amazing and food is tasty. Rooms are clean and spacious. The entertainment options are numerous from music to tie dye to trivia by the pool. The grounds are lush and green and fun to just stroll around.

It's almost impossible to find anything to criticise about Couples Sans Souci. It’s an excellent hotel/resort, catering (obviously) to couples. That, and the fact that it’s relatively small (about 150 rooms), makes it a tranquil choice. Rooms are large and comfortable with beautiful views over the gardens and sea. Catering is largely excellent, with 3 restaurants and 3 bars, and all the staff we met were lovely and helpful. Two of the restaurants are by reservation only, and can be full up for a week ahead, so I advise guests to make booking dinners a priority after arrival (especially Casanova, which in my opinion has the best food!). Tuesdays and Fridays are event days when restaurants are closed and everyone dines on the lawn, enjoying the entertainment – but there’s plenty of that the rest of the week as well. We loved the beautiful gardens and two lovely beaches (one of them catering to naturists), and a lake with birds and turtles. Just one warning – the hotel is set on the side of a cliff, with a steep road or stairs to get from bottom to top. There is a lift, but that’s reached by lots of steps too, so if you’re challenged by steps or inclines you will be dependent on calling the bellhops to transport you up and down by minibus, which they do cheerfully. |Just the one criticism – the bed linen is thin and poor quality, and the pillows are foam-filled. |It's an easy 10 minute journey to Ocho Rios town by route (shared) taxi (perhaps not after dark), where, despite the rather down-at-heel centre, there’s a nice waterfront and plenty of touristy shops catering to the cruise liners that come a few times a week. There are a few worthwhile excursions – Martha Brae river for a pleasant hour rafting down the river, and Konoko and Dunns River falls, both pretty basic but somewhere to go. We also did Kingston and Blue Mountains in a long day tour.

The staff at this resort are very friendly and the housekeeping had outstanding service! Thank you to all the staff who made our experience unforgettable.||FOOD:|Breakfast buffet is on point and was the highlight of the stay. Lunch - a la Carte located by the beach and also a smoothie & snack bar beside the gym. Dinner had 3 restaurants where you have to reserve ahead of time. You can book them yourself by scanning a QR code. Make sure to book the restaurants in advance once you arrive. If you are unable to book a restaurant they have a buffet/a la Carte area that you can eat at as well. Our favourite night was Caribbean night which was an outdoor buffet, the BBQ jerk chicken was amazing!! So delicious! ||BEACH:|There are two beaches located here. One is the main beach and the other is a nude beach. We did not know this resort had a nude beach until we arrived. We didn’t go on the nude beach as it is optional. There are a lot of water activity’s included within the beach at this resort. I highly recommend to go snorkelling as much as you can!||POOLS & SPA:|There is one pool located by the beach and another pool which is located beside the gym. The pool located beside the gym has a special mineral pool and jacuzzi!! Which are great minerals for your skin. Located next to these pools is a sauna. This is a great area to relax as if you are at a spa. We used these everyday and they are even open for you 24/7.||ROOM:|We had an ocean suite room. It was very spacious and modern, it even had two shower heads. Not all rooms have two shower heads so make sure to inquire about this before booking. Overall, our room was very nice.||You are able to book excursions that cost extra as well if you feel you want to leave the resort for a day. There is a gift shop and a jewelry/cigar shop located at the entrance of the resort. My only recommendation is that I wish there was more Jamaican food offered at the restaurants as I only really got to experience this on their Caribbean night (more jerk chicken needed).

We visited Couples Sans Souci for the day as part of the Trading Places program with sister resort Couples Tower Isle. We had a fantastic day exploring Sans Souci and enjoying its amenities.||Couples Sans Souci is an incredibly scenic and lush resort and completely different than it's hotel-style sister Tower Isle. It is built into a hillside, so note there are a ton of stairs. You will get a work out in walking the resort. The resort's grounds are sprawling and completely magical to stroll through. There are so many beautiful spots for photo ops such as the jungle paths, the mineral pool grotto, and the waterfall.||The au naturel beach is massive and a completely different experience than the small nude island at Couples Tower Isle. You'll find a more social crowd at Sans Souci's nude beach, as well as a huge pool, bar, dining spot, and a massive beach area to enjoy. The crowd is older overall but more mixed in age than we saw at Tower Isle.||During our visit, we were able not only enjoy the grounds, but have lunch beachside at the Beach Grill, which was very good.||Note that when you arrive for the Trading Places experience, you will have a mandatory guided tour of the resort from a staff member, which will take you from the top of the hill down to the very far end of the resort at the nude beach. The information about the resort was definitely helpful, but we would have preferred to explore on our own. We wanted to start our day at a different part of the resort so had to double back and climb all those stairs again when the tour ended.||Whether you are staying at the resort or visiting for the day, we definitely recommend Couples Sans Souci. Make sure you register for the free Romance Rewards program in advance so you can book the Trading Places experience. Being able to swap resorts for the day is definitely a great perk!

We had a great time and plan to return. Staff were all wonderful. Massage was the best that I’d ever had. Food was delicious. You can be social and active or plenty of space to be alone too. Loved it!

Spent a week here and wanted to love it, but compared to similar resorts (Excellence, Secrets, etc) it doesn't measure up. The no tipping policy really hurts the service outside of the restaurants. No one comes to you on the beach to get you drinks, towels, food, etc. Dinner options are very limited (3 options, plus room service). Room service was hit and miss (cold dinner, good breakfast). I know they said the rooms were updated - our beachfront suite had unpainted walls in the bathroom, patch marks in the sheet rock, falling apart wall around the A/C unit, etc. We had to constantly request mini bar refills. The grounds are beautiful, however. Both beaches are small. Overall, if we go back to Jamaica it won't be here. If you are expecting 4 or even 5 star resort, this isn't the place.

Celebrated our anniversary and had a great time. Our bartender Duncan made us the best drinks every time. Each time he made our drinks it was really good. Food, hospitality and spa was up to par. Will definitely return
