Couples Swept Away

We had an incredible stay, the place and people were amazing, so relaxing and fun. Would absolutely recommend, the one of a kind long gorgeous beach which was raked and kept pristine at every time. The atmosphere is relaxing and fun, and very laid back. Our room on the first floor was recently renovated and kept sparkling clean with fresh towels and nice bathrooms and walk out balcony. Being returning guest and Jamaican expats we enjoyed the delicious meals which were varied to include Jamaican dishes prepared to perfection. A big shout out to the delicious patties, daily soups and the friendly staff at Scotch Bonnet too. The resort is well treed, lush gardens to wander around in and friendly chats with the gardeners who were more than proud of their work. Most important, the friendly warm staff at every moment of our stay, who would not want to return as soon as possible! Thank you for making our stay out of this world, we soon come.

This is resort is a 12/10. The location is perfect on the pristine soft-sands of 7 Mile Beach in Negril. The water is perfect in colour and temperature. The atmosphere at the resort is relaxing and fun, not chaotic. Rooms are clean with fresh towels and nice bathrooms and balconies. The service was top notch with the friendliest staff I have ever seen. Great value for your money. We were not bothered by any noise despite our room being down the hall from the amazing night club. I highly recommend going there for a nice adults only vacation

First time at Couples. Overall, It gets a 3. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The unit was clean and comfortable. The green jungle atmosphere was very nice. We had nice massages at the spa. Unfortunately, the food was below average with many “out of stock” items. The resort is very out-dated and many things were broken; 3 out of 4 jacuzzis were out of order. The mens steam room was also not working. It was hard to relax at the beach with constant interruptions of locals trying to sell drugs, jewelry, etc. the drinks were too sweet, watered down, and use of cheap liquor. Couples Resorts really needs to invest in this resort to get it up to par, especially with what they are charging. We won’t be back.

This was our 3rd visit to Jamaica, 1st time to Negril. We stayed at Couples Tower Isle in January 2020 and then at Iberostar Joia Hall in Montego Bay in 2024. Both resorts were very different, but exceptional and we agreed that we would visit them again. As a traveler I enjoy visiting different resorts and areas so we decided Negril was the next destination as it is known for its beaches. Since we had such a great experience at Couples in Tower Isle we decided to stay with the brand again. I will start with the positives of our 6-night stay. The service and staff were friendly and exceptional staff were smiling and laughing despite not having electricity at their own homes as the island recovers from the recent hurricane. Shout out to Sherika, Orlando and Calesha (Bartenders), Paulina (housekeeping), Dennis and Michaela (Entertainment), Yunneshia (Guest Services) and all of the other staff members. Housekeeping came twice a day, which is unnecessary in my opinion, but others may enjoy it. The variety of water activities was a plus. I enjoyed the guides for the glass bottom boat. The amount of activities was great and the entertainment staff worked hard. Our favorite dining experience was the Jamaican Beach night. The food was delicious (one of two nights we enjoyed the food), performance was lively and the staff worked hard to put the show together. I like the fact that the resort seems to care for the kitties and they maintained the plant life. If you are looking for a party resort this is not it. I am young, but an old soul and me and my partner enjoy a low-key relaxing resort. Now for the most disappointing part of our trip was the food. We are both "foodies" and the variety of food, only having two ala-carte restaurants for the entire resort was a disappointment. I am not sure if the food options were related to the recent hurricane or the quality has gone down since the pandemic. At Couples Tower Isle they were a much smaller resort, with more ala-carte restaurants Asian, French, snack bar, buffet, etc. Food is what makes our trip and we were very disappointed. Again not much variety, food was not seasoned, it was not flavorful and just pathetic for the cost of the trip. We did attend the repeater's dinner and it was ok, but lackluster. I will say that I enjoyed certain items such as the creme brulee at Feather's, the lobster tail and cheesecake at the repeater's dinner, but the food as a whole was disheartening. The gym equipment needs to be upgraded and I was not a fan that it was outdoors. The rooms are also outdated, but comfortable. In conclusion, we would not stay again for the simple fact of the food and the distance from the airport.

If you are looking for an opulent shiny new resort, you’re looking in the wrong place. No giant high rise buildings, no fancy shmancy ballrooms, no Japanese chef with a blowtorch. Numerous low-rise dated but decently maintained buildings. Nice accommodations but nothing special. So why have we been there 9 times? And why have countless others returned 20+ times? In short, activities and food. Multiple tennis and pickleball courts with included clinics and private lessons. An olympic sized pool, scuba dives included, great beach with numerous water sports. Obviously, food is a matter taste, but it lines up with our taste buds perfectly. We love it. Going back next week.

Overall this is a really wonderful resort. The staff were extremely friendly and attentive, going out of their way many times to make our stay even better. Our one and only complaint is around accessibility. The resort is accessible IF you can manage some stairs and choose the right kind of room. The "right" kind of room needs to be one of the walk-out rooms as all others will have you climbing to the second or third floors of your building. You will also find it difficult/impossible to visit one restaurant that's on the 2nd floor over the main buffet since it's a long staircase. All other restaurants are barely 1/2 a floor away from the paths between buildings. My wife rented a scooter ($500USD for 7 days) and was able to get around quite well. We arrived in late January and the weather was perfect for 6 days, and then it got "cold" (22C), but from our perspective, it was wonderful, the staff was less happy. We're told that late January is the only time that "cold" weather bothers Jamaica, so that means year round is potentially fine weather (excluding Hurricane season obviously) One thing to mention is that if you don't like spicy food, or seafood, you will have limited options from the menus, but that's a reasonably common worry for anything in the Caribbean.

I had an amazing experience at the resort. I got married there last week and everything was great. I especially appreciate the staff specifically the wedding staff (Rochelle and Desmont) who were very professional and accomodating. They made my day go so smooth and I'm grateful for that. The night entertain (I do not remember the band's name) but they were awesome and full of energy. The massages at the spa across the street was great and I usually hate massages. The makeup artist the day of my wedding did a fantastic job. I showed her my inspo photo and she did exactly what I asked for. The atomsphere is just relaxing and I honestly wish we would have booked more time there. I almost forgot to mention that the different varieties of food was great as well and I highly reccomend the private dinner on the beach. The beach in the daytime is absolutely breathtaking. We were extremely pleased with everything and may spend our 1st anniversary there.

Spent seven days at this all-inclusive on seven mile beach. The beach and the staff make this worthwhile. The rooms are adequate - the ac works great - hot water is tricky. There is limited breakfast room service; however, it makes obtaining coffee convenient. The crowd is older, and the resort caters to that population. The spa is wonderful, and the sports complex across the street from the resort is spacious. The staff that work tirelessly at this resort go beyond expectations, and their efforts should not go unrecognized. Depending on what you are looking for in a resort, this may or not be your ideal vacation location.
