Couples Tower Isle, Jamaica - Hotel Review | Condé Nast Traveler

"Modern decor and brightly colored murals are the aesthetic at this 226-room, adults-only, all-inclusive resort in Ocho Rios. And when we say all-inclusive, we mean everything —spa treatments, a catamaran cruise, short off-site excursions to Dunn’s River Falls, and golf greens fees, and transfers. Rooms, with ocean or garden views, have furnished balconies and yellow and green accents. Couples also offers access to a small private island where guests can sunbathe in the buff. At the end of the night, go for cocktails at the ’50s-style piano bar—themed music parties are a big deal here. A packed daily schedule of activities could keep you busy all day, but take time out to languish in your private plunge pool if staying in one of the Spa Villas."

"Style Bytes I’m not usually an all-inclusive-hotel fan. I like the intimacy of an inn or a boutique hotel. I can really appreciate when some of the larger hotels pay attention to details and style that makes for intimacy in a more mass market setting. Couples Tower Isle in Ocho Rios is such a success story. “All inclusive and style?” you question……..yes, the perfect couple here! The rooms include fabulous vintage styled rattan furniture and their vignettes in their main lobby area in particular are wonderful and indicative of this new breed of large hotel. Pops of colour, cozy corners and modern artwork were among my favourites………..Oh and the porridge as well at the breakfast buffet! By Tracy Barry"

This is a great resort for a getaway, it's peaceful and clean and has a lot to offer if you're one who likes activities. Even though I think the rooms are a bit dated, they are so clean and comfy I really doubt anyone would mind it. I had a deluxe ocean view on the forth building and the walk to and from there was really easy as it's a relatively small hotel. I'm definitely going to be going back as soon as I experience the other couple resorts.

We recently stayed at Couples Turtle Isles and were absolutely blown away by the exceptional experience—this resort truly deserves every one of its five stars! First and foremost, the housekeeping services were extraordinary. The meticulous attention to detail and consistent excellence set a new standard for hospitality. In fact, the housekeeping team’s dedication and high standards could serve as a global benchmark for how hotel housekeeping should be conducted. A huge shout-out also goes to the executive chef, who went above and beyond to accommodate our special dietary requests, particularly our craving for breadfruit,. His thoughtfulness and culinary expertise made our stay even more delightful and memorable. Additionally, the bellhop team deserves special mention. Their warmth, genuine hospitality, and eagerness to assist created a welcoming atmosphere right from the moment we arrived. We also want to extend a special thanks to our wonderful driver who took us back to the airport at 7 AM on June 9. Though we unfortunately don’t remember his name, his amazing sense of humor, friendly demeanor, and safe driving made the typically tedious airport transfer exceptionally enjoyable and memorable. The resort itself provided incredible entertainment and a unique, relaxing vibe that’s both chill and effortlessly cool. Couples Turtle Isles offers an experience you simply won’t find elsewhere—one that’s enjoyable, stress-free, and genuinely special. We can’t wait to return!

This was our second visit here and it was even better than the first!! |This resort has many, many positives and for us, only 2 negatives. ||The negatives:|The beach is not great|The water pressure was not good at all. ||The positives:|Room is clean, comfortable and cold!! AC works great, plenty of closet space. Free mini bar. Room service all day!! Our room attendant did a great job. |The food is fantastic!! We did not have bad meal anywhere. Everything is so fresh and delicious. |Coffee shop 7AM-10PM! |Bar service is top notch. Most bartenders have a special drink or shot they invented themselves. Make sure you ask!|GO TO THE ISLAND!!! |Pools are great. |The staff is awesome. So friendly, good morning, how are you, what can I get you etc. |Go to the piano bar and get an espresso martini. Fabulous!!!!|Resort is small, easy to get everywhere, nothing is more than like a 3 minute walk. |Treat yourself to a massage. It was soooo relaxing. |Everything is included, food, drink, water sports, catamaran cruise, scuba and no tipping!|Plus a lounge at the airport and a free shuttle in a nice cool van to the resort. Make sure you tip your driver, he doesn’t work for Couples. ||I seriously could go on and on about Tower Isle!||Some people that really stood out:|Sanjay “Da Man” at the island pool bar. Make sure you have him make you a Jamaican Fire Girl. Yum!!!|Kirk the bellman who will start your vacation off on the right foot!!|Terry-Ann and Antroy at the Patio, always hustling!!|Audrey and Samantha at the spa |Devon at Verandah|Rashard and Ajay at Bayside, I have an extremely sensitive palate and they made sure my meal was perfect!!

Love location, is space for improvement on service and hospitality. Let start with the good things. Eight rivers restaurant is the best, food is amazing. There is definitely there is the hand of executive chef Valentin M. Staff need training, are few amazing and some they don't have a clue. Water Staff, helpful ,friendly, amazing team. Lovely place ,all together. But . If you forget to leave tips, your room will probably be done poorly. At the bar , grate yang funny team. I dislike the way SOME team leaders treat the staff or treat the customers, Asian restaurants need attention. Food is not what is named. In general, food is not what is named, good but rong named. Lovely location , is space for improvement on service, hospitality

Getting service is like pulling hens teeth. You constantly ask for the same thing every day and they don’t deliver. You have to call them several times before they will deliver anything. As far as location it is in the mountains of Jamaica so the beach is small. Food is so so at best. Will not stay at this place again. One and done. I have started at Couples Negril and Barbados before and it was great. It has been a few years, so maybe they are not what they used to be. Barbados is now a Secrets. Thinking I am done with Couples after this trip. Have a couple of days before I go home.

We had the best vacation we have ever taken together! Not to mention we had the best honeymoon! The people we're so kind and you get so much included. The spa was amazing, the pool bar was our favorite, the beach was nice. I think the best part was the kindness and how well taken care of you are from the minute you step foot on the resort. It was so relaxing, the food was good but I wasn't blown away or anything but that didn't take away from how wonderful it was.

We stayed in a Deluxe Ocean View room, which I believe is located in one of the original buildings. Many of the original features—such as the floor and wall tiles, stair banisters, and finishings—have been preserved, giving the space a unique, boutique-style charm. It truly felt like a classic Jamaican experience. Both the property and the room were exceptionally clean. The staff, despite a no-tipping policy, were incredibly friendly and accommodating. They made an effort to remember our names and checked in on us daily. It’s thoughtful gestures like these that made our stay especially memorable. There were plenty of all-inclusive activities to enjoy. We went snorkeling, took a glass-bottom boat ride, and participated in a tie-dye shirt activity—all of which were a lot of fun. The food was excellent. The buffet changed daily and offered a variety of flavorful options. A highlight was “Jamaica Day” on Wednesdays, featuring a full Jamaican-inspired buffet and local vendors by the poolside selling souvenirs. Overall, it was a fantastic and charming place. We can’t wait to come back.
