“Courgette – A Masterclass in Fine Dining!” We returned to Courgette today, and wow—did they pull out all the stops! After our visit last week, we provided some feedback, which was welcomed with genuine openness and transparency. This time, we had the five-course menu again, giving them the perfect opportunity to shine—and they absolutely did. The standout dishes: • Lamb – Simply superb. The depth of flavor was on another level, making it incomparable to our last visit. Honestly, this dish alone made the day! • Quail – A tough act to follow after the lamb, but still an excellent dish in its own right. • Prawn – A special grilled prawn dish was prepared just for us, and let’s just say the only thing left was the plate. • Grade 8 Steak – This one gave the lamb a real run for its money. Rich, perfectly cooked, and bursting with flavor—it was nearly impossible to pick a winner between the two. If I could personally hand out Michelin stars, Courgette would be getting one. The team’s dedication to excellence, their willingness to take on feedback, and their passion for delivering an outstanding dining experience are truly commendable. Today was nothing short of fantastic! Highly recommend to anyone who appreciates exceptional food and first-class service.

We went there on Friday for our wedding anniversary. When I booked I specifically asked to be seated near the window with all the green plants etc the guy said yeah that’s fine I know where you mean. When we got there we were taken into the Boardroom and sat in the corner in front of a timber cupboard…the glassware didn’t seem to fit the fine dining experience … mine even had two chips in the base. Food was fantastic but the fine dining experience was not.

Visited Courgette for birthday dinner. They have specials for birthday dinner. Ordered the 5 course meal. All the dishes were excellent The staff were friendly and the atmosphere.was great. The cocktails were great too.

I think the food was underwhelming for both the price point and the overall feel of the place. Had a good glass of wine. This after I struggled to have a good mojito. from the dessert offering the chocolate mousse is wonderful. We did speak with the chef about the level of salt. Definitely too high.

First time guests at Courgette and it certainly won't be the last. We have been scouring ACT for an establishment that offers fine dining with exceptional service and cuisine that leaves you wanting more. We have found it. Celebrating our anniversary, and served by the head chef himself, we were introduced to some of the most amazing flavours of Modern European cuisine that Canberra has to offer us. The best we have seen here yet. Staff were exceptionally attentive and the meal turnaround was perfect. We each ordered separate meals from the 3 course menu, and proceeded to relish in every single bite. No regrets on meal choices, being served 6 phenomenal meals is a feat no other Canberra restaurant has given us. I would do anything to have that quail and the cheesecake all over again.

There's only 2 things I would fault here, or it would be a 5 for me. One, there was only the option of tap water or sparkling. I prefer still mineral water. Two, the finger carrot was raw and not tasty. Otherwise, every other dish was perfectly matched and delicious! The staff were attentive and friendly. I will be back, and hopefully, by then, you will have a mineral option. 😊 Update: Came back a year later, and still no option for non sparkling mineral water. The menu seemed the same set menu as last year , and even though it was delicious, I would have preferred to try something different this year. Maybe the following year?

Beautiful food, as always. Weren't hungry going in but ended up ordering the 7 course dinner anyway. Worked perfectly for us as it meant both of us could enjoy the meat and seafood dishes 😆 They catered for the dietary requirements we had without any issues. The service was discreet and attentive, ensuring we had privacy but never lacked for anything. Definitely returning! Always great. Love thos place. Even simple food that tastes just like every day food at home somehow is filled with flavour here.

Google
Still one of the best fine dining places in Canberra. We had the express lunch and after 2 courses was very full. Service was outstanding and the food did not disappoint.

Yelp
We had a group dinner event here and all was fabulous! The presentation and flavors were delicious and everyone was happy with their selections. Highly recommend!

Yelp
It is the worst restaurant I have ever been to. There were not enough waiters and it took forever to be served. I had been waiting for ages before he kept serving the throngs of people sitting next to me. The food is ok but for this price, it is not acceptable. "Bad" is not suitable to describe this restaurant, "awful" is a better word. This is a dreadful restaurant, don't know why it has four stars, terrible service and such awful food quality mean I WILL NOT BE COMING BACK.

Yelp
Perfect food. That's the two words to describe Courgette. For entree, the most delicious fish in the world, fresh and exploding flavour but not overbearing. Perfectly balanced with a sweet but tangy sauce. For main the lamb chops were juicy and tender but didn't quite have the delicious flair that entree had. I would recommend a stronger wine based sauce and possibly some vegetables. Still, the best cooked lamb chops I have ever had. Dessert was very nice as well, leaning towards the sweeter side on the cheesecake spectrum but all together fabulous and a great way to finish the meal. The whipped butter with bread was absolutely gorgeous but with a slightly commercially ham taste incorporated with the butter. Superb meal with great service with friendly but not overbearing wait staff. Definitely returning. Expensive but completely worth it.

Yelp
This was my third birthday dinner at Courgette in three years and I will keep coming back. The flavours and presentation are always first rate. There may have been a change of staff during the past year as the service seemed a bit disorganised this time. This time I let the new somelier pair wines with the courses and I think I will go back to single bottles in the future. Several of the wine offerings were not to my personal taste. My previous two visits I had a different somelier who actually remembered me between my yearly visits and he truly understood my tastes and always selected perfectly for me.

Yelp
So overrated Food is not good. That's all I can say for it, not good. Bad sauce. Not a good menu. It's not so much the chefs fault, more the produce is bad. Wine list is also about $150 for a bottle that costs $14 at dan Murphys. Only reason it's not 2 stars is because it's nice decoration

Yelp
Hi, We have been to Courgette a couple of times. Last week we went to Sage on Friday and then Courgette on Saturday (due to out of town guests). Wow, what a difference in the service. The service at Courgette was cold, impersonal and ineffective. At no point did the servers even ask if we enjoyed the meal. In comparison the service at Sage was just brilliant. They were personable, fun, engaging and described the meals when served. These are both well respected restaurants but the difference was staggering when it came to the service level. As for the food, Courgette was good but again, compared to the Sage, it fell short. Sage had their five course test menu but in fact, they provided about 8 dishes in total and they were all great. I can't say we will be going back to Courgette but will definitely be going back to Sage.

Yelp
Near flawless. The food is divine, the venue is very nice, the staff are perfect. The best food I've eaten in Canberra, except maybe Chairman and Yip.

Yelp
Absolutely stunning. Romantic setting with great food. Not too expensive either (except the drinks). Excellent wait staff. Highly recommended for that romantic evening, to impress visitors to Canberra and for anyone looking for an experience with their meal.

Yelp
I have eaten at Courgette a couple of times in the past 6 months and the first time I couldn't fault it but the second time, regrettably, I was left a tad disappointed. I had the set four course menu on both occasions and I didn't leave hungry on either if those nights. However, if you had a big appetite I reckon you'd be swinging by Maccas on the way home, they are not huge portions. Where they lack in quantity they more than make up for in quality and this was particularly true during my first visit. The desert stands out in my mind as bring one if the most memorable dishes I've eaten but sadly this couldn't be said for my second visit. In fact, I was bitterly disappointed with my 'cheesecake' which was from the specials menu as it lacked the smooth creamy texture that you've come to expect from a cheesecake. I was also really disappointed with the wine menu, I felt it lacked choice and didn't offer some of the more commonly favoured wines like Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand. They had an Australian Sav Blanc but in my humble opinion it paled by comparison. Now I love fine dining but not when there's style over substance and I feel this was the case with my second and most recent visit. I'm going to give them the benefit if the doubt and say they (or maybe I) were having an off night because the memories if my first visit are enough to get me back there again soon.

Yelp
can't believe it took us so long to discover this place, (think it used to be home to fringe benefits back in the early nineties which is when i was there last!) The set menu provides fantastic value and everything was superb
