Courtfield Hotel

Had a lovely time here with my fiancée and family for a weekend stay. It was a great base for the short time we spent in Cardiff as it's just a short walk through the park from the hotel to the centre. Full cooked breakfast was excellent both days and vegetarian options were readily provided. Our host Keith was absolutely lovely and very friendly. Rooms were spacious and comfortable.

Keith was a wonderful and attentive host from the very beginning of our stay! We were made to feel so welcome, the rooms were clean and had everything we needed for our stay. Our breakfasts were lovely and even though we were a group of 7 with different dietary requirements and preferences, Keith remembered every detail for our second morning at the hotel! Great location in Cardiff and we’d all highly recommend!

I visited the Courtfield hotel and stayed 2 nights while I was visiting friends. Keith gave me a fantastic welcome and made sure my stay was perfect. My room was spotlessly clean and also had an extra heater waiting for me as it was particularly chilly on the Friday night! | |With free parking on the streets in a quiet area, it’s the best place to stay in Cardiff when you want away from it all. Having a strong Wi-Fi signal in my room also meant I could use streaming services on my iPad with no problems. Courtfield hotel will always be my first choice of hotel whenever I stay in Cardiff.

What a fantastic weekend celebrating my 60th birthday with my children and their partners. It's the first time we have all been able to get together for over 2 years and it was lovely to have somewhere that suited our needs so well. Keith was friendly, welcoming and provided us with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The location is great, it's a lovely walk down through the park into the city centre or to catch a boat or bus down to the bay. Lots of restaurants and cafes to choose from within walking distance. In the evening we could sit in the lounge and when we had a takeaway Keith offered us plates and cutlery and even washed up after us! We hope to return.

From my first phonecall with Keith back in January when I booked our room to leaving this morning he has been the most charming, helpful and lovely host, we left feeling like we'd known him forever. We were made to feel so welcome and he was really helpful advising of the best way to get to our restaurant booking, where to park etc. The breakfast is the BEST I've had, so tasty, fresh and well cooked. The Courtfield is perfect for attending any event in Cardiff or if you're visiting the area for a few days. We will definitely be back.

I stayed at the Courtfield hotel with friends to attend Pride Cymru and once again I had an amazing stay with Keith and Norman. The hotel has had a refresh and it is clear that a lot of work has gone into the hotel over the last few months. My room was immaculate with comfy bed and Keith’s legendary breakfast is always the best way to start the day!||When in Cardiff this will always be my first choice hotel to stay in!

Yet another perfect stay at the Courtfield Hotel!! My room was spacious, very clean and comfortable. Keith was as always the perfect host serving a delicious breakfast every day. The hotel is perfectly located in a very quiet area but not far from the city centre. I really would not stay anywhere else

I came down to Cardiff for a weekend away and on a budget. What I expected was a comfortable stay, what I got was over and above. Lovely, cosy room, slept brilliantly, excellent breakfast and the hotel is beautiful. The best part though, was the service. The owners are very friendly, helpful and add a great personal touch. Old fashioned, hands-on service, could not do enough for me. I highly recommend this place to anyone, more than any 5 star expensive hotel. It was also in a good location, close enough to town and stations, right next to stunning Bute Park and the river bus so you can get a great scenic view of Cardiff Bay and the River Taff. Will definitely be coming back.

Really, really outrageously bad decor. Our room was painted shocking pink, with mustard carpet, green bedspread. The whole place smelt damp and musty and the welcome table had a bowl of boiled sweets all sticky with empty wrappers the whole time we were there. Shower temperature uncontrollable. Strange welcome area. Definitely overpriced and uncomfortable. Definatly a miss, not worth the price at all.
