Courtleigh Hotel and Suites

We stayed just for a night for a layover; the staff was very nice and welcoming. The lobby smells wonderful and is very inviting. The continental breakfast had a nice variety and was included in our stay. Only downfall was that the pool was closed when we arrived at 2pm, but was still able to sit next to it, and the cleaning staff starts at 8am (so ensure to put a DND sign up). Otherwise, very lovely stay and short walk to emancipation park.

I recently stayed at this hotel during my time in Jamaica, and the experience was exceptional from start to finish. You can tell they take pride in making guests feel comfortable and cared for.||The atmosphere was relaxing, the property was well-kept, and everything I needed was handled quickly and professionally. Decent size rooms but overall a good experience! Several parking spots and the view was amazing from the balcony! Drinking water available from 11am-8pm only, after that you’ll have to buy it! Our stay at the hotel was absolutely amazing! The room was spotless, and my husband couldn’t stop praising how clean and well-maintained everything was. A special thank you to Sharon Powell and Javan for making our check-in process completely seamless. Their professionalism and friendliness set the tone for a wonderful stay. We truly appreciate the excellent service!

Close to all the Kingston attractions, this is the perfect place to stay. It’s small-scale with all the amenities including a pool, lively Friday night bar with DJ, and a great restaurant. Their breakfast porridge was delicious! They also collaborate with a driver, Mr Watson for airport transfers - but he can take you anywhere for a reasonable fee. He took us to Devon House and to the National Gallery. Would have travelled with him more if we hadn’t booked a tour guide.

The breakfast is very good and varied. However, the customer service was terrible and the treatment, hostile. They offer no help if problems arise with a Booking.com reservation. I arrived at the hotel on a Sunday and, even though I had paid ten days prior, they had no record of my reservation. While they supposedly looked into it with Booking.com, I had to make a $200 USD deposit to be able to check in, and I gave them all the reservation details. The next day (Monday), the receptionist asked me for another $200 deposit, which I refused. The hotel had not contacted Booking.com, so I had to call customer service myself for about two hours; they confirmed my reservation and payment were in order and that they would open a case. I informed the manager about this and sent her all the proof, expecting her to investigate. To my surprise, on Wednesday the manager, in a hostile tone, practically accused me of fraud without having checked with Booking.com. After a heated conversation, they finally contacted Booking.com and the matter was resolved. If they had done this verification from the beginning, I would not be writing this review.

Arrived at the hotel mid-afternoon. The staff was courteous and pleasant. My room was ready when I arrived, and the ancillary staff was helpful and assisted me with what I needed. I will be going back soon, and I plan to stay at the Courteligh on my next trip
