This is one of my favorite restaurants! If you want clean, fast organized service, with contemporary dishes this place is not for you! But if you want an experience, you can remember, quirky strange happenings and some of the best streamed Chesapeake Bay Blue crabs then this is the place for you! The atmosphere is phenomenally unique, surrounded by working farms on a peninsula where a car might pass every two hours if that then yeah! Memories of grandfather taking me crabbing on his boats are some of my first and very best memories! He was a retired National Can engineer, a machinist back in the day, turned grandfather and watermen and he taught me about the important things in life; respect everyone, be kind, have a laugh, enjoy life and find beautiful isolated places that offer a unique perspective… We head down and stay at the refurbished motel Pier 450 for a week every summer so we can enjoy crabs and the owner’s and staff at Courtney’s making us breakfast every morning. The owner is often the only one there so she seats you, as she’s setting up the buffet and salad bar with many of the vegetables she grows right outside. She takes your orders, serves you, then takes the check too! It’s beyond laid back and personal! It’s hard to find a place this intimate these days but it pays off for us with lasting friendships and amazing camaraderie. The crabs??? I’ve been eating them every summer my entire life, fifty plus years, and I had three jumbo’s out of our dozen this year that had the sweetest, most delectable, sweet buttery crab-back-fin flavor that puts you in a hypnotic trance! Absolute Perfection!

You're at your own risk! Half of a zucchini 12.00 perch I hope 3 piece with fries 17.00 25% tip 40.000 bill.

Ok let’s start with the obvious, this place is a dive. With that being said, we enjoyed our food and the waitress was friendly.

Google
Such a cool “locals” joint. It’s a place you don’t find much anymore. My friend and I had never eaten Maryland crab so the owner/waitress/cook (yes she was all 3) even took time and showed us how to eat them. They were fresh and delicious. Definitely a great place to relax and enjoy a meal and drink! We also got the blackberry cobbler to go and it definitely hit the spot later.

Google
Because this is a local mom and pop shop. I will weigh in a little lighter because I support local businesses. They were working hard to keep up with the lunch rush. However, this place has seen better days. Floors are dingy, restrooms are scary dirty, ice water has floating pieces of algae. Seafood tastes fresh and cooked well. But quantity is lacking, you will leave hungry... 6 pieces of fried Oyster for $16. 4 pieces of small crab balls for $18. Bowl of soup for $10. 2 pieces of lumpia eggroll cut in half to pass for 4 pieces for $11. I looked forward to eating here when a friend told me about this place. I'm sorry I left disappointed.

Google
Ate there a couple of weeks ago and had the best fried oysters I have had in a long time! I only with I had ordered the crabs too. Place is not a dive. It might be a little rustic but the restaurant and restrooms were clean.

Google
Incredibly disappointed. The menu prices are not accurate; our bill arrived and the entrees and sandwich we ordered all $2-5 higher than listed. My son ordered honey dipped chicken and got 3 small pieces of chicken and less than a handful of fries. It was listed on the menu for $25, but it was actually $28.99. For 3 small pieces of chicken!!! My husband and I got seafood platters and none of it was fresh. My portion of fires was also embarrassingly small. The platter was listed on the menu for $35 and was actually $40. I nearly cried when I saw the bill and saw what I was paying for such small quantities and mediocre food. I was truly hoping for a fresh seafood feast on our last day in Maryland and we did not get it.

My girlfriend and I were staying at a nearby hotel and decided to grab some dinner at Courtney's. We had never been there before. The place was homey and comfortable and the staff was friendly and helpful. We had a table with a great view of the bay where we could watch the light change as the sun went down. The food was incredible. We each got the specials with my girlfriend getting the rockfish and me getting the perch. Both were caught earlier that day by one of the owners of the restaurant. The fish was incredible - fresh and very well-prepared! We each also got Orange Crushes to drink. I had never had one of these local cocktails, and it was delicious. The vibe was not fancy but comfortable - much more our style. The server was nice and helpful as we tried to decide what to order. I would definitely come here again!

Yelp
Don't be truned off by the decor, the food was amazing. The Courtney family run this restaurant, from catching the seafood to home cooked food. The grilled oysters were the best we have had. The crab cakes were full of lump crab meat. And don't pass on mom's homemade blackberry cobbler! So glad we took a catch on this place!

Yelp
Been hearing about this place for a few years. The only reason we made a stop at a nearby marina for the night. Lived up to what I've heard. Great service. Very friendly. Met the owner/cook as we left. Stuffed fresh caught rock fish. Yum!!

Yelp
Do Not Eat here, I do not recommend it. Food was NOT that good, they were quick to take your order but slow as molasses to get your order to you. We ordered appetizers which arrived two mins from our bringing out our food order. The restaurant was hotter than hell they claimed that their air conditioner runs round the clock, yet there were no fans around to circulate the air. I think the flies enjoyed our meals and the heat more than we did. The place is very outdated and run down. One would think that you want to keep the few customers (that give you business) happy. If you are looking for a GREAT Restaurant, Great food choices, great ambiance, I highly recommend Pier 405, Capt. Pats or SALT as better eateries.

Yelp
The Rockfish was flavorful and delicious along with the sides. Our service was prompt and efficient and the ambiance is old school Md. we loved it! They have a large selection of beer and wine and full bar.

Yelp
Arrived from DC at 6 PM last Tuesday and had the picnic tables all to myself. Went inside the cinder block restaurant and put in my order with Mrs. Courtney (head chef). She told me to go back outside; that she would call me when the fish was done cooking. About 20 minutes later, she did just that The rockfish and sides were excellent. The sunset was lovely. On my way out, Mr. Courtney (owner and waterman) spoke to me. He's got the rugged face of a longtime fisherman. He catches the rockfish in his pond net in the Chesapeake Bay, the old fashioned way. He then brings them to the restaurant by 7 AM. You can't get much fresher fish than that--it's caught the day you eat it. This husband and wife team has been serving the public at their namesake restaurant for over 50 years. I respect what they do. Yeah, the fish is a bit pricey, but these folks are dedicated senior citizens who earn their keep the hard way. It's not received a Michelin star, but if you want to witness the authentic waterman culture of St. Mary's County in action, Courtney's Restaurant is a good example.

Yelp
Wife and I were in the area we were going to goto a restaurant around the corner for my birthday but it was closed, when I looked at 10am while I was at the eye Dr it showed they open at 11 when we got there it was closed. So, I went on Yelp and saw Courtney's was around the corner so that's where we headed. When you first pull up your going to think HMmm we sure did, when pulling up to the restaurant there's some nice old homes and then you see a bunch of travel trailers rite on the water and what looks like a building that is in bad shape on the left and the restaurant on the right. The restaurant could really use a good paint job on the outside so I parked in front of the building, my wife and I looked at each other and we said well we can at least go in and get a drink and look at the menu. When you walk in the door it's a bar and the kitchen is straight back, well when we walked in there was a bag of groceries on a table with lettuce and cheeses and other items. On the floor was a 40-50lb bag of potatoes on another table was a 30lb bag of panko crumbs. We heard talking but couldn't see them I looked in the kitchen and there were 2 lady's when I finally got the attention of the lady on the phone she said just sit anywhere. Well we walked in the dining room and it is dated very old, the old wood floors would look fabulous if they would clean them. They need more than a mopping they need sanded down, I don't think this place has ever been remodeled since it opened. In the back corner of the dining room is an area that looks like an office with a large screen tv on the wall a desk and computer. We noticed a small salad bar in the back so we went to check it out, it looked really good and fresh with a good amount of items on it so we sat at a table close to it. A lady came over with menus told us about the fish they had for the day and took our drink order. We decided to stay after looking at the salad bar, the wife had fried shrimp dinner with the salad bar and I had the soft shell crab dinner with salad bar it also had soup on it. I got us both soup it was a vegetable crab and then we made our salad plate, again everything was really fresh and lots of good things for making a good salad. The soup was delicious it could have had a little more crab meat in it but it did have a really good flavor to it. I asked the server if she made it and she said no her mom makes it, we asked who Courtney is she said that her dads last name. At first we were the only ones there by the time our food came there were 4 more tables. Our food came out it looked really good and smelled good also, there were 8 shrimp on my wife's plate and 2 soft shells on mine. The shrimp were very good, I wish they hadn't flattened the shrimp I would have liked to had seen them maybe butterflied a little or just left alone and a lighter batter used to fry them. Now the soft shells were battered very nice the only issue I had was the large crab had already passed it soft shell too much the claws were kind of papery the legs were just not good to eat. Now the meat inside the large crab was good but not as good as the smaller crab on the plate, 3 small crabs would have been better than that large one. Over all the food was good and that salad bar was by far the best you'll find in St Marys probably the only one. We will be back to eat again for sure that salad bar and soup really was nice and try something different for a main dish. Afterwords we took a walk around I've included some photos.

Yelp
The seafood doesn't get any fresher than Courtney's. Tommy Courtney catches the fish that very morning, serving it at lunch and dinner. It is simply prepared, but very delicious. You won't find fancy, elaborate meals here, just fresh, tasty and honest food. Don't expect to get out of there quickly, though; this isn't a place you go for a quick bite to eat. If they have fresh homemade blackberry cobbler as a special, DON'T MISS IT!

Yelp
unpretentious atmosphere, food tastes and feels homemade (including the bread!), service is pretty laid back. courtney's is found at the very end of wynne rd. it is ran by a husband and wife team, with the husband crabbing and fishing, and the wife cooking. i love the peace and quiet of eating here and just watching the gulls and the water.

Yelp
Arrived late at Marina and had to walk the miles and a half to the restaurant but it was well worth it. The owners and staff were so courteous and accommodating. We called ahead to make sure they would still be open and they said they would wait for us. The food was amazing with momma cooking in the kitchen. Topped the meal off with homemade blackberry cobbler Prices reasonable for fresh local food. Highly recommend

Yelp
After finishing up a fishing trip with colleagues, some of us stopped to grab a bite to eat before getting back on the road. We found this place online and decided to check it out. After a 20 minute drive which seemed to go to nowhere, we stumbled into this place. Not much to look at outside and the same can be said about the inside. It has that old grandma that lives by the sea charm to it. Customer service, lets say, it was an experience. The bar had that old cowboy saloon feel. What I can tell you is that food is awesome and they have ice cold beer. This apparently is a popular spot to visit, per the locals. The outside picnic tables over look the river/bay. Cool views. Worth the visit if you end up there.

Yelp
My husband and I were in the area for a weekend getaway and were looking for a local restaurant for some good & affordable eats & this place delivered! It's no frills and tasty. If you're looking for fancy, this is not the place, but if you're looking for friendly, good, and like you are in a local and welcoming corner shop, this is your place. We ordered a soft shell crab sandwich, local caught fish of the day in a fry basket, half a dozen oysters, and spicy margaritas and everything was good. Nothing was leftover on our plates. We felt welcome here and the view out front was lovely. Would recommend a visit here to others!

Yelp
Great food looks like an old road house type place but friendly and reasonable pricing .
google avatar

Yelp
Excellent local fare in a hole in the wall spot. Amazing scenery on the outside tables, you have a perfect view of the water. Service was friendly and quick. Owners have filipino heritage: they actually had delicious lumpia. Rockfish was delicious, if not on the smaller side. If you're passing through or in the area for point lookout, this is definitely a great spot to dine if you're hankering for authentic local cuisine, as long as you don't mind payin a little higher than a average mom and pop place would charge

Yelp
This place has THE BEST soft shell crab sandwich (called soft shell crab slammer)! Don't just take my word for it, my mother-in-law grew up helping her dad crab on the Chesapeake and she was raving that she never had a better soft shell. The tarter sauce had a very unique and tasty seasoning, they should patent and sell it! The tomatoes were fresh and flavorful. The crispness of the bacon melded so well with the crisp on the outside of the crab. This was all neatly stacked on what looked like a fresh baked brioche bun. Don't go here in a hurry. This is a really comfy, low-key local gem. Seems to be a somewhat small scale operation (looked like one person cooking, one person front of house). There are picnic tables out by the water where you can easily take carry out from Courtney's and social distance during the pandemic (and still support a local business)!

Linda H.

Yelp
don't let the outside fool you, Courtney's restaurant has amazing freshly caught seafood, great appetizers and delicious desserts. service was outstanding at this family owned Restaurant. we can't wait to go back

Yelp
Great little restaurant off the beaten path. We stopped by on our way to Point Lookout State Park and we're promptly seated and served. We sat at a table near the window and could see the water from our spot. The lady working was friendly and quick with the four tables of customers in the restaurant. It's definitely not the fanciest place, the interior is a little cluttered and dated, but that just seems to add to the charm! Rockfish was the fresh fish of the day and I thought my plate was delicious. The batter was crisp and perfectly seasoned. The sliced tomato was fresh and so was the roll. My husband had the soft shell crab sandwich and found it equally as delicious. Bottom line: Would return if I was in the area!

Yelp
T Great restaurant with amazing views . This is a family owned restaurant. Just had the soft shell crab Sammy and was delicious!

Yelp
My friends and I decided to take a quick Sunday Funday day trip to support local businesses in the area. The weather was so beautiful as we approached Courtney's. I couldn't believe how close the water was. The food was super tasty especially the drinks (check out my photos) I will definitely be back again. All I can say is don't judge unless you actually experience this hidden local foodtastical gem.

Yelp
As some reviewers have said, this was an interesting dining experience! At the end of a road less traveled, you'll find a restaurant whose exterior has seen better days. There are picnic tables across the parking lot with a nice view of the water. The door has signs bashing CNN and telling you to "forget the dog, beware of the owner." Fox News is playing behind the bar. The restaurant is empty (11am on a Monday), and an elderly Asian woman comes out with my To Go order. She slowly warmed up to me and was amused by my husband playing with our dog by the picnic tables. She offered to give me a plastic bag for my dog's 'business' and warmed up to me even more when I told her we already had some. I honestly didn't know what to expect after my experience inside, but the food was GREAT! Biscuits and gravy was delicious with the softest, melt in your mouth biscuit. The french toast was good, as were the home fries. The egg and sausage sandwich wasn't anything to write home about, but overall good, affordable food with a view!
google avatar

Alex M.

Yelp
We enjoyed the food. Had a crab cake, rockfish basket and crab soup. The interior is dominated by right-wing posters. The day we stopped in there was a flyer on the bar about how COVID is a hoax (I wish!). There are picnic tables outside where you can eat looking at the water. Again, pretty setting but not a welcoming vibe.

Sara S.

Yelp
Love the crunchy breading on the fried fish. Everything is cooked to order, and you can taste the difference compared to other restaurants. Quiet little restaurant on the edge of the water, lovely views.
google avatar

John C.

Yelp
This is hands down the best soft shell crab sandwich I've ever eaten. This plus an jce cold bud lite on a hot day? Unbeatable. A+

Courtney C.

Yelp
when arriving the place was dirty and only an older couple was there running the restaurant. the salad bar has scarce food on it that did not look appealing. The appetizers were expensive and they didn't give you sharing portions at all for these. my boyfriend ordered a cheeseburger with onions rings and he was only given 4 onion rings with his meal. I ordered the stuffed rockfish and there was a small piece of fish and as my "dinner roll" I was given the top of a hamburger bun that was placed on the stove to warm it up. I was supposed to get two sides with my meal and didn't get any and it's was $33 for a small piece of fish and the top of a hamburger roll. Needless to say they need to retire and shut down.

Kevie N.

Yelp
Courtney's - small place with excellent food. The margaritas were good - a little tart. The fresh rockfish stuffed with crab - great!. I had fried rockfish which was breaded in panko and it was not greasy like so many other fried fish plates are. The fish was fresh and delicious. Had apple pie ala mode in a parfait glass. That was unusual, but the pie was warm and wonderful. Will definitely be back!

Yelp
Stopped by after visiting the nearby Point lookout SP, wanting to try some of the famous Maryland blue crabs. This place is the classic hole in the wall, middle of nowhere vibe going on. The beer is cold and the crabs were amazing! A friendly local at the bar instructed me in the ways of cracking the crabs. Don't go here expecting white linen experience, but it was definitely my kind of out of the way place.

Ashley M.

Yelp
Tommy and his wife Julie are great! He catches it all and she cooks it up! My husband, our pup and I enjoyed picking crabs and sipping drinks at their picnic tables near the water. We got to-go lumpia's and a crab cake sandwich so we could enjoy at our Airbnb late night. Super nice folks, great service and great seafood. Will definitely return on our next trip to the area! I recommend calling ahead to see what specials/fresh catch are.

Lori P.

Yelp
Currently staying at the marina and it's currently the only restaurant open on Monday's & Tuesday but I have to say, we'll be hard pressed to go anywhere else! Dinner last night? Excellent. The garlic butter oysters (which I'm sure were locally and recently caught) were amazing. Breakfast this morning? Just as good. The french toast with it's touch of cinnamon was delightful and the side of home fries wasn't from the freezer! This is your home cooked meal away from home in a relaxed casual setting. The owners are hardworking, friendly and make you want to just sit at the bar for hours, or maybe that's just me.

Robin S.

Yelp
There is absolutely no reason to ever eat there unless you are starving to death and can't find anything else. Prices are outrageous. I don't understand how the Point Lookout Park can suggest this place to eat.

Sl S.

Yelp
At all if I could rate this place less than a zero I would. I paid $50 dollars for 2 slider sized crab cakes that I was not sure it was even crab. Talk about hole in the wall, my only mistake was not turning around when I saw the Junk in this restaurant. Never again, take my word, run the other way!!!

Yelp
As part of a motorcycle rally in Solomon's Island, MD we visited Courtney's Seafood Restaurant in Wynne MD for a prearranged lunch Saturday, June 25th, 2022. The restaurant is at the end of a spectacular piece of real estate, surrounded by water at the end of a peninsula. The ambience, both inside and outside did not belie the descriptions from some of our local riders: it was a folksy, if not extremely dated mom-n-pop place. The day of our visit Courtney's appeared to have opened early to accommodate our rally visit and seated everyone immediately. My first impressions were that menu prices were surprisingly high for a fairly run down, quaint mom-n-pop place ($32.99 for my crab cake dinner.) Our orders were taken surprisingly fast, with drinks served about 10 to 15 minutes later. As expected, food delivery took about 45 minutes. My wife ordered stuffed rock fish and it looked and tasted good. I ordered the crab cake dinner and was immediately underwhelmed: The two crab cakes were about 2" in diameter and looked surprisingly like the Mrs. Paul's frozen crab cakes that are found in the frozen food section of the grocery store. Bland would have a generous description of these tasteless disks; they appeared and tasted like they were 95% filler with possibly some crab stock mixed in? I stopped eating them after about half of the first one. Our server never revisited the dining room after delivering our food and only much later to deliver our meal checks. She quickly and perfunctorily asked as she was moving away if everything was alright and I said "well actually, I'd like to talk about the crab cakes." I related that I was happy to pay for them and wasn't looking for a discount or anything but was disappointed that there was little to no actual crab meat in them and defied her to find a speck of crab meat in the uneaten crab cake. She replied "That's just how grandma makes them" and just walked away. I really wanted to love this place and indeed visit many small, quirky places for food and drink, but it was hard to find much to love about Courtney's ... expensive menu prices, poor customer service and fairly average to mediocre food. (I certainly would have liked to have further discussed this with them prior to posting a negative Yelp review but there's no link on their "website" to interact with them.)
google avatar

Terry H.

Yelp
This is wonderful if you know what to expect! Authentic Mom & Pop place with mediocre food and service set in a glorious, secluded location. Come here for the ambiance, not the food.
google avatar

Bee J.

Yelp
Let me start by saying the food was okay. Unfortunately nothing else was. Service is literally dead! One very old gentleman (Courtney) was serving tables, taking orders, and serving food alone while four tables of patient customers waited, and waited, and waited. I think this is the norm from what we've been reading. So, moral of this review is don't bother coming here if you are hungry. If you have no where to go and like to sit and watch snails tavel then this is your place!
google avatar

Nadine B.

Yelp
Poor service (if you can get any at all) and messy.(as in very disorganized). But I'm hoping the food is worth it; it was highly recommended.
google avatar

Michelle S.

Yelp
Had some really good and meaty crabs here. Weirdly a lot of guts. They have pleasant picnic tables allowing for waterside dining. Nice to be outdoors! It's right next to a trailer park which was a little random but the food was good! Seems like a good local spot just a bit dirty.
google avatar

Charlene S.

Yelp
We stopped in for lunch on a day trip to St. Mary's City. What a treasure this place is! The food was fresh and delicious. Owners and fellow diners were so friendly, even when our 15-month-old started shrieking in his high chair :) Don't miss it if you're ever in the area.
google avatar

Rubie M.

Yelp
Were very disappointed going to this restaurant, have no idea how others rate it as high as 2,service is very poor, place is dirty and the worst is the poor quality of food, paid so much for nothing, not recommended at all, worst restaurant experience

Kennedy W.

Yelp
Extremely expensive. 8 dollars for each can of beer. It's too bad that there's no effort in making things reasonable to come back. One and done.
google avatar

Julie P.

Yelp
Interesting ambiance. Mom and pops type of place. The food was ok but overpriced especially given the quantity. We got the crab cake sandwich, fish basket, chicken tenders, and cobbler - all were ok. The picnic tables outside were nice.

San S.

Yelp
A wonderful family-run restaurant serving fresh seafood right on the water. We sat at the picnic tables and ordered the soft shell crab slammer and the fish basket (fish caught in the AM). And beer. It's a beautiful place to go near sunset.
google avatar

Phil R.

Yelp
Was passing through and enjoyed some of the best seafood I've ever eaten. Incredible food, very sweet people, family-run. Check it out, highly recommended.
google avatar

Vinit R.

Yelp
Perfect location, unassuming simplicity, welcoming Maa'n'Paa service, a 0guy that catches fish every morning and a wifey that turns the raw fish into deliciousness kinda cooking.. what more would you expect from good old bayside southern Maryland.. we had bacon'n'cheese grilled oysters that were simply delicious.. followed by fresh rockfish that just melts in your mouth.. concluded with blackberry cobbler with vanilla ice cream.. then we chatted with other patrons that gave us a brief history and life of the town, leaving us in almost a pity of our day to day urban ways .. All in all, I'd come back here anytime anyday..
google avatar

Kristopher M.

Yelp
Some of the best fish I've ever had! A modest setting with nice views (assuming you get the right table). Very mom-and-pop business. I had the fried rockfish basket. Was full of tons of buttery goodness. It's pretty amazing to me that the owner gets on a boat in the morning to catch the fish of the day, brings it back, and they cook / fry it up fresh. Prices are reasonable but not great, but food really makes up for it in my mind. I'd definitely go back regularly if I lived in the area. Burger was only decent: I would definitely order seafood if you go here, since that's what they do best. Service was fine in my mind. I see a lot of other reviews bemoaning it, but I don't really want a server hovering over me anyway. Happy to give this place 5 stars. I heard that it was a picturesque traditional fish place, and it lived up to the expectation.
google avatar

Ken S.

Yelp
Food was great and super fresh, loved the quiet and cozy atmosphere. Prices were fair and service was great. When in the ares stop by and have some fresh southern Maryland seafood

Yelp
Hidden gem, the restaurant is before you get to Point look out. They are about 300 yards from the water, think on the Potomac and can you believe, they literally catch fish daily to cook and serve. This is a Mom and Pop Seafood restaurant. Mom is in the back cooking Pop is out front serving and being charming. I have to say, looks can be deceiving, if you are looking for glamour this is not the place. If your looking for peace, goog service and good food this is the place. They have a soup and salad bar, that has the Best! Crab soup I have ever had!, normally I only like the crean of crab but this was a vegetable crab soup. I liked it so much I brought some to take home. My intention was to take it to work, but when I got home I ate it:). My friend had crabs, she loved them! I had the catch of the day, perch, fried clams and scallops. After dining at this place, my thought is when seafood is fresh you don't have to cover it with a bunch of seasoning. The fish was so fresh and pure I ate it without my usual (hot sauce, mayo and old bay lol). As we come to the end of the summer give this place a try. I must say it is nice dining in a non chain restaurant, a place were the menu is truly the catch of the day. Give Mom and Pop a try and taste the best crab soup in the world served up by some of the nicest people. Until next time remember good seafood doesn't have to be drenched in mayo and old bay lol VJ

Yelp
Courtney's is an institution. Their seafood couldn't be fresher, and it's well prepared. Their servers are friendly and helpful, and if service is on the slow side, just chalk it up to the cook making delicious creations from scratch. (It's worth the wait.) The decor is plain and the atmosphere casual, but those aren't bad things; they're what you should expect from a crab-and-fish shack by the water in St. Mary's County. The clam chowder is divine. Since this isn't a local specialty, that's all the more impressive, and it's a good predictor that they know what they're doing with seafood across the board. In my experience, this holds true: from oysters to rockfish to soft shell crabs, seafood is always a safe bet at Courtney's. There are two downsides: the portions and the prices. There's obviously a correlation between the two, and it may be that I'm expecting too much, but I'm not used to finishing a $50 dinner and still feeling hungry. An all-you-can-eat option at the salad bar would help, as would larger sides and a second dinner roll. So expect to wait for your food, expect modest portions, and expect some degree of sticker shock when the check comes. It's all right; the seafood really is worth it. One final caveat: Fox News is liable to be playing over the bar. If you're someone who doesn't find unctuous nitwits fawning over orange would-be despots conducive to a healthy appetite, just ask for a table at the far end of the room. You'll be fine.

Yelp
Stopped by this place on our way home from Point Lookout State Park. After an afternoon under the sun and in the water, we were thirsty and hungry, and Courtney's served up cold brews and fresh, tasty seafood. I had the Boston clam chowder and rockfish basket, and enjoyed them both. My wife particularly liked the tartar sauce.

Yelp
Went for lunch yesterday. The restaurant is not hard to find, but to be truthful, it's old and rundown. The Crab cake sandwich was okay, and my wife's Rockfish was dry and tasteless. The wine however was good. Also, for what you get, it's too expensive. This place has been around for 40 years, but I honestly believe it's time for this place to call it quits.

Yelp
I can't give it a 5 because it's just too quirky for that. But we'll be sure to come back when in the area. Authentic, down to earth spot with outstanding fried fish and oysters. The people were nice. Don't be in a big rush.

Yelp
Looks like a dump, it's in the middle nowhere, and the service is fairly slow. The salad bar is what you would find in a Golden Corral. The crab soup was tasty, but the chowder needed a ton of seasoning. However, I'd be back in a heartbeat. My broiled platter of rockfish caught that morning, shrimp, and scallops was so delicious. As mentioned several times, the dad catches in the morning, the mom cooks, and the kids wait the tables. The service is not fast, especially when busy, but it's worth the wait. The fish could have been bigger for the money, but the taste was so great I overlooked it. The soft shell crab of my tablemate was cooked well with just the right amount of crust and seasoning. They actually have a decent beer selection including Troeggs, DuClaw, and Flying Dog. It's worth the drive to the end of the strip.
