I arrived with my wife at the hotel and was surprised that my room was entirely filled with marijuana smoke. It was so strong I felt nauseated. I called the front desk and was given an excuse about why. Finally a person came and verified the smell. The staff member said he definitely smelled it but could not address the person they believed was smoking even though it was against the hotel policy. He said there were no other rooms we could be moved to. He finally said he would try the ozone machine and we reluctantly said we would find something or somewhere to go for a few hours to see if it would help. We came back and it was not as strong but our clothes now smelled like the marijuana along with the bedding. I paid for an extra night when I arrived and the front desk clerk messed up the cards and also never noted that we were going to stay in the same room. The house keepers kept trying to come in. Later I was called and told I needed to bring my card to the front desk and I already did that authorization the night before. We were locked out of our room and the lady made us wait in line behind all the check ins and could not make a room key because my credit card was in my room that I was locked out of. This fiasco was continuing until she decided to go with me to my room to let us in. As she had trouble getting in the room and then we came right down and was made to stand in line again by the same staff member. This was not only a waste of time but my wife has a bad leg. Woke up at 6am to smell of marijuana filling the room. We decided to leave and the front desk worker said she would have the manager call us. Update I guess a 380.00 per night room equals only 15,000 points for a messed up room and experience. Spent at least 600.00 dollars or more with stay and on the food and drinks. For 2 days. What a joke!

This hotel was fantastic. Really clean spacious rooms with a huge balcony. The hotel was modern and well equipped. Every member of staff we met were friendly and helpful. The pool area and hot tub were really nice. Lots of space and a great bar. We had a great time staying here and couldn’t fault it!

Rooms are very comfortable, spacious, and set up well with mini fridge, microwave, and plenty of USB charging ports. Not noticeably dirty at first glance, but closer inspection of the showers showed a lot of grime buildup, and if you walk barefoot on the room carpet, you'll feel sand and other little particles stick to the bottom of your feet. Other than that, a nice place to stay, overall. Help at the front desk was exceptional. Located very close to the beach, and not far from Fernandina town center. True to the Courtyard brand, no complimentary breakfast (otherwise I might have given 5 stars) but offers a small bistro downstairs that will cost you $$. The pool is very inviting.

The hotel is nice. The food is pretty good. The room is spacious for 4. And the parking is pretty decent. For the money it's a good deal. Not on the beach but pretty close to shops and food places. The service at the bar is really good.

We had a great week! The room was perfect, the front desk crew and the guy bartender on Sunday and Monday night was absolutely awesome! My only complaint was housekeeping only came to our room once and we had to go down to the front desk to get towels twice due to them not coming up to our room. Other then that everything was perfect and we will be back!

This was our first trip to Amelia Island. This hotel fit what we needed. It was in a great location. The hotel is nicely designed and the room is really nice. The bathroom in the room is very spacious. There is a lot of parking which is great also. The only downside we experienced was at the outside bar which is why the service score is low. We came back around 8:30pm tonight (yes just 30 minutes ago on the 4th of July). We asked the lady at the front desk for a wrist band to go out to the bar at the pool. She was nice. However, we went out to the bar and stood next to two chairs to be served. The bar tender walked back and forth by us and never acknowledged us. He did not say one word. It was not busy. We were standing right there. He then left and walked inside. He was a larger guy with a beard I believe. We went back in and told the lady at the front desk. This was very unprofessional and not a good ending to our evening.

The property itself is very nice. with a nice pool. Now your room is something different, the carpet wasn't vacuumed from the last guests. Nor was the room Cleaned. We were so tired from the flight we just got into bed, woke up in the morning to find we slept in someone's dirty bedding! They just flipped the comforter over so we couldn't see the medicine spilled on it or the feces on the bed! The sheets... had little black spots all over them! I immediately got in the shower to clean the nasty off. To see the walls and ceiling have mold! I am highly allergic to mold! I called downstairs let them know of this situation, I got oh sorry, I can't send anyone till 8am or after! I asked the manager for a call she said she would give me 50 off! Which was very insulting. She said she would have our room fully cleaned. Let me say when we returned our bed was made that's it. The fake eyelash was still on the bathroom floor from the previous person, the carpet wasn't even touched it has garbage all over the floor. Not to mention the absolutely disgusting sofa that I wouldn't even let a dog go on! So disgusting and disappointed in this hotel.

Really clean and fresh hotel. Staff were very welcoming, and parking was a breeze. The rooms were a nice size and ours had a view of the ocean down the block. The location is great. Very quick walk over to the beach. The kids loved the pool. A great place to stay.

Yelp
Nice newer hotel just a few hundred yards from the beach. Room was clean and well appointed. Public areas are clean. We had a problem with the water pressure in our room. I called the front desk and the engineer arrived and fixed the problem within minutes. Great response. Thanks! The bar hours seem limited. We'll come back.

Yelp
Stayed here for a wedding. The manager was rude at check-in making fun of our names. They also don't clean rooms even when requested. Ubers were difficult to obtain, and the manager kept pushing calling her friend. Marriott made it right with points, but there are better places to stay. Highlight was the gym and pool! Bartender outside was lovely and pool had a great vibe.

Yelp
Great Property! Very new and modern, but fits the beach vibe - from the outdoors, to the lobby, bar and lounge to the pool area. Steps away from the beach including a wonderful beachside park. Lots of dining options surrounding property. Great hotel.

Yelp
I booked a five night stay for approx $1800 dollars, specifying an ocean view room. When I checked in, the front desk manager said with a smile, "You have a really good room!" When we walked into the room, the "ocean view" was blocked by 2 hotels, and actual view was a decrepit, empty parking lot, and angas station. The Marriott would not even acknowledge this, and insisted that "you clicked it, and you got what you ordered. Needless to say, we didn't stay there and after 2 hours on the phone with Expedia/Hotels.com we got a full refund. When I asked the front desk manager and the general manager for a check out statement, they said that I was "harassing" them and they threatened toncall the police. In all of my 70 years, I have never been so poorly treated by a hotel staff. Perhaps the once-great Marriott chain is in a state of decline. Sad.

Yelp
Had a wonderful long weekend here. Dennis was so helpful at check in, even gave some recommendations for fun island spots! Not only was the pool tons of fun, we could watch the waves break in the water from literally our pillows. Yes you read that right. From the comfort of your pillow, beach views. We even watched a storm roll through one night, and it made for hours of lightening watching. Absolutely gorgeous. And both guys bartenders by the pool were amazing!!! Including the girl bartender in the lobby area. 10/10 recommend here

Yelp
Stayed here to attend Shrimp Festival. We did not take advantage of everything the hotel had to offer. However, the room was nice and spacious, there was ample parking, the noise level from the pool died down at a reasonable hour, and the common areas were clean. This hotel is connected to a Fairfield. All guests can use the common areas. They had a guy playing guitar an singing at the pool which was a nice touch. I'd stay here again.

Yelp
Clean establishment. Good drinks. Bar staff are rude. Food is sub par. $18 burger. Someone tell me why it's frozen & why it has nothing on it.

Yelp
I typically love Marriott hotels and this being a new one, I knew it would look good, which it does. I think they are severely understaffed...a sign of the times. The pool is awesome and the outside bar is sweet, but only staffed by the bearded dude who is absolutely slammed all day and night! Coffee bar could not be any slower. Obviously their kitchen staff is understaffed as well. We waited 45 mins for two hot teas and two desserts. I felt bad for the barista. The room is beautiful...I love the decor, however, the luxurious showers are majorly dysfunctional. One shower floods the entire bathroom and they are "aware of the issue". We reported it twice and had to get a bunch of towels to clean up the flood! The design needs to be modified ASAP, before they start having mold issues. There is no cleaning service during your stay and you have to put your dirty towels in the hall , then go downstairs to get more. I guess this is the sign of the times. A lot of self service. Hopefully, people will start going back to work once the pandemic unemployment funds stop. This place has great potential and is quite beautiful but they need staff to keep it that way. Walls and floors are super thin. Starting at 8:00 am, it sounds like a bowling alley above is and a constant dripping from the shower issues above us. If you expect to sleep in, good luck. I hope they resolve all of their opening issues because I'd love to come back here if they can iron out these issues.

Yelp
My wife and I just got home from Celebrating NYE 2024 and my old College buddy's 58th Bday. The moment we arrived we fell in love with the 1400 acre gorgeous property... The hotel staff, Valet, bellman and front desk staff were all 5 star friendly and professional... We loved our 5th floor clean room, SPECTACULAR VIEW, bed, pillows, awesome shower and balcony. They just need more cell phone charging stations.. The NYE celebration was over the top and we are from Las Vegas. The drinks and food at Sea Glass were excellent we loved the DJ and NYE fireworks. Overall an EPIC NYE celebration and we will be back next year.. My wife and I really hate the 3 star haters of this property!! Ofcourse drinks and food will be pricey this resort is a very expensive property located on a drop dead gorgeous beach! If you are a Yelper and can't afford a nice weekend at this property trash your checking account not the resort. See ya Next year Omni WE LOVE YA!!!

Yelp
This brand new hotel is still trying to get organized. They may have opened a little earlier than they should have. We had issues with doors not opening in stairwells, hotel phone not able to call front desk, very thin walls, no notepads or pens in the rooms, tissue and toilet paper in the room was half empty Bar staff at the pool (bearded gentleman) was extremely disorganized and somewhat unfriendly. Colette was great and I recommend her assistance. As a Marriott Gold elite member, this is not what expect from a Bonvoy property.

Eleanor Y.

Yelp
Brand new hotel. The beds were comfortable. The food was good and the pool and spa area were wonderful. They are only cleaning by request during your stay, but we found that not to be a problem. This hotel was close to the beach and right across from the entrance to Fort Clinch Park. We will stay here again!

Joe P.

Yelp
Rude and unprofessional staff. They do not respond to call to guest services. Don't stay here. Marriott should be ashamed.

Yelp
Best place to stay on island. Fantastic location. Great service. A little understaffed but super friendly and caring. A very short walk to the beach. Starbucks available for a quick breakfast and lunch. New hotel so overall wonderful ...some small issues with the room. (Floor wasn't clean and the shower drain was clogged) overall no better place to stay on island for the value. Comfy beds and nice pool. Attached to Marriott Springhill.

Yelp
We have stayed at nearby hotels in the area and this by far had the best service! Our whole family loved Johnny & Colette at the pool bar. Everyone was super sweet and made our daughters birthday special :) we will definitely stay again and highly recommend!
