Courtyard by Marriott Bridgetown, Barbados

This is a business hotel not a beach resort. The staff are excellent. Food is good. Was a good option when our flight was cancelled. Pool is nice. Hotel is across the road from the beach and so you have to carry beach chairs and towels down a flight of stairs to a rocky beach. Entire hotel is no smoking which I very much appreciated. Located next to two very nice bar restaurants

Staff is fantastic. I had two surprises I have not yet felt like are resolved. After checking in awaiting clearance to fly post surgery. I immediately stepped on glass in the bathroom. In the morning my reservation - which when booking clearly, in bold print, stated breakfast was included, did not include breakfast adding the cost of an additional night to my 9 night stay. Shaunae, Shadae, and Shaquille at the desk are lovely, attentive, and very professional. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and large. Generally, the hotel has an air of great service and professionalism.

We were a little concerned with booking at the Courtyard due to the wide range of recent reviews. We are glad we gave it a try. Contrary to some recent reviews we found our room to be clean and well maintained. The staff were uniformly friendly and helpful. The location was good for us to do some self guided walking tours. We felt very safe in the area. Plenty of good restaurant option easily walked to on the boardwalk area. We would not hesitate to book here again if we didn't want the all inclusive large resort.

My booking specified repeatedly in bold that breakfast was included. Upon arriving not the case. Staff is lovely. Shaunae was super helpful checking me in. Shadae this morning also. Staying 9 nights to recover from a surgery while unable to fly. Immediately stepped on glass in the bathroom on what was my better side. Informed staff of both these things and they did not have the authority to address either satisfactorily but were very kind and responsive.

We spent two nights at the Courtyard by Marriott in Bridgetown before a cruise. We had a balcony room on the 2nd floor right near the pool. The room itself was clean and very comfortable. Water pressure in the shower could have been stronger, but it got the job done. Cute little beach across the street. We had absolutely outstanding service in the on site restaurant/bar. Our server, Temesha, was particularly lovely and even introduced us to some other people who were going on our cruise! The hotel offers a free shuttle on weekends to nearby Carlisle Bay (one of the most gorgeous beaches you'll ever see), either to Harbour Lights club or The Boatyard. We've been to Harbour Lights several times and were happy to return, so that was a lovely way to spend the day before our cruise. Since we were there on a Friday, it was suggested that we go to the fish fry at Oistins fish market. We arranged a taxi directly through the hotel (there is a desk in the lobby), to take us there and come back for us. Our driver, Daniel, was fantastic and even took us on a walking tour of the market and pointed out his favourite places to eat there. All told, our stay at the Courtyard was a great start to our cruise. Absolutely will stay again when we're in Barbados!

Quiet comfortable stay. Staff were very friendly and helpful for being a visitor, offered up suggestions and any help you could ask for. Rooms were nice. Great location for Bridgetown as well as Saint Lawrence Gap. Nice restaurant area without outdoor seating. The patio is nice. Pool area is also nice. Although the pool itself is small, its very adequate for hanging out and relaxing.

The taxi ride from the airport to the hotel was great, and the front desk staff provided excellent service. My room was clean, spacious, and maintained daily. The staff at the restaurant were outstanding they took wonderful care of me and my needs. The buffet breakfast offered a nice variety and was a great way to start the day. |||However, dinner was disappointing. During my week-long stay, I found the dinners unsatisfactory each night, ranging from overly fresh salmon and overcooked steak to bland shrimp served with the Caesar salad. ||Additionally, I requested Hennessy on Monday night after the bottle they had was finished, but by my departure on Saturday, it still had not arrived.

I’ve been a loyal Marriott guest for 20+ years and never had to wait on line for 20 minutes to check into a hotel until I arrived here. The property is conveniently located in Bridgetown, but is lacking adequate staff and/or training. ||In addition to the poor reception upon arrival, we found the restaurant staff to be completely inadequate. After being seated for breakfast by the delightful hostess, we waited more than 15 minutes for a server. We asked for coffee to start, waited another 10 minutes to get served, and she never returned to take our order. ||If you need a place to stay in Bridgetown, there are many better options to consider.
