The Best Grand Canyon Hotels, Airbnbs, and Glampsites | Condé Nast Traveler

"A cobblestone façade and rustic timber beams help this elegant, centrally located Flagstaff stay blend into the high desert, while light‑filled, contemporary rooms keep things modern. Just over an hour from the park, it’s ideal for travelers who want outdoor access with amenities like an indoor fitness center, a bistro bar, and futuristic seating areas with plenty of outlets." - Emily Pennington

Had a great 3 day stay at this Courtyard. Room was clean, modern, and well equipped. The bed was comfortable and hotel amenities were all good. Ample parking on site with quick access to the highway. Highlight of the stay was front desk agent Brandon. Our trip to Flagstaff was last minute with the only plan to go to the Grand Canyon. We inquired with Brandon for things to do and he delivered! Buffalo Park for our morning walks, Sunset Crater, Wupatki National Monument, and Walnut Canyon. Thank you Brandon for the great recommendations!

Clean and spacious! The hotel room and facilities were clean and well kept which is my priority. The room's decor was simple and to the point. Enjoyed the lay out of a mini couch in front of the tv. They had a Tesla charger station on site which was helpful since we rented one during our vacation. Would highly recommend!

Google
This would be a great hotel if you didnt hear EVERY SINGLE DOOR shut, or EVERY SINGLE PERSON go up and down stairs. I’ve never stayed in a hotel that felt like it was constructed like a cardboard box. Expect to be woken up at 6am and the noise will not end until checkout time.

Google
This place was a Godsend We stayed a week after surgery in Flagstaff which was out of town to us. The handicap room was perfect. They have thought of everything possibly needed for comfort. It was so much better than trying to handicap our home temporarily. Safer and possibly less expensive. They were so accommodating and the food available was super good. Unlimited Ice and laundry available. Thank you and good job! I highly recommend!

Google
Nice hotel, room was very clean. Lobby area is comfortable. Weird that parking is not included, I get that it’s near the university, but it’s not an urban hotel. Also odd to not have any complimentary breakfast or coffee for a hotel like that.

Google
Lovely hotel, great views from all areas. Check in was simple and the reception staff very polite, friendly and helpful. The room was ideal, nice size, had small fridge and a coffee machine.||Plenty of onsite parking, small indoor pool and gym area.||The courtyard outside has a firepit with a view over the town||Located just off the freeway easy to find and access. Ubers Will pick you up right outside the lobby.||Has a small bar area that serves food too||Highly recommend, would love to visit and stay again

I have been a loyal Marriott member for over six years, and this is the first time I’ve been truly disappointed with my stay. First, as a Gold Elite Member, I am entitled to early check-in; however, even at 4:00 PM, my room was still not ready. I was asked to wait 30 minutes, but it ended up taking over an hour. The staff member assisting me was not friendly or apologetic about the delay. Second, when we finally entered the room, there was an unpleasant smell, and the door lock did not work properly, causing another delay while maintenance came to fix it. Third, since my son uses a wheelchair, we parked in an accessible parking space. In most Marriott locations, accessible parking is complimentary, yet we were charged over $8.00 per night, despite plenty of available spaces. If this were a downtown location, I would understand—but this was in Flagstaff, Arizona, where parking is not typically an issue. Lastly, when I made the reservation, the total price clearly included taxes. However, upon check-out, I noticed an additional tax charge on the final bill, which I was told was due to a local “city tax.” This was not disclosed during booking. Overall, this experience did not meet Marriott’s usual standards of service and hospitality. I hope you will review these concerns to ensure better service for future guests.

Google
The staff is very attentive! I had a bit of an issue with my door lock and the staff collaborated well together to fix the issue. They even gave me extra hotel points, a cocktail and a water! The front desk lady, gentleman and new maintenance fella as well as the supervisor are excellent. The supervisor went above and beyond to attend to this matter and came back to the hotel after working hours. Very grateful and would stay here again. It’s also very quiet and pet friendly!

Yelp
Loved this place, the staff is super warm and exhibited a master class in hospitality. It has a beautiful courtyard on the first floor with a great view of SF Mtn. Same amenities you'll find in just about every other Courtyard but with once again a staff that really wants you to be satisfied and displays high level service.

Yelp
My husband said that this hotel looks like an LLC owned place that is being run to the grown. I can't agree further....this place definitely needs a face lift. First of all the rooms are very small. The smallest of the room could be due to the plentiful furniture and size of the size of the furniture within the room. It was difficult to walk around all sides of the bed. The amount of space between the bed and wall was limited. With two people in the room it felt too tight. To make matters worst, after a long day out, I was disappointed to find my room unmade. When I called down to the lobby to ask about by room, after being on hold, I was informed that rooms are not made everyday and this should have been explained to me when I checked in. Note the person who said this to me on the phone, was the one who checked me in. Lastly I didn't appreciate waking up to the smell of food in my room. I do not care to smell like bacon grease all day. Nor do I care for my clothes in my suitcase to smell like grease. The hotel needs a better ventilation system that does not go through guest rooms. Note I was on the third floor-the top floor. Based on my experience, I would not stay here again for the price. Flagstaff offers a lot of options for hotels within the Marriott and Hilton chain.

Yelp
If you are traveling through, this is your stop. This location is perfectly located off the highway and they have a little cafe so you can get your coffee and breakfast and head on your way. For you EV drivers - Tesla Supercharging station with plenty of chargers (whether you stay here or not). Each employee that we encountered was very friendly. The rooms were large, beds comfy, and plenty of outlets everywhere to charge everything and then some! We had a balcony and could let the fresh air in - very peaceful. There was a mini fridge (but no little freezer), no microwave, but a mini coffee brewer. Sufficient. The rooms were clean, but attention to detail could be improved. For instance the sliding glass door to the balcony had lots of handprints from the last little human exploring the room. If you are noise sensitive, be prepared. The AC was loud and a tad rattly and the fan didn't work in the bathroom so you could slightly hear other people chatting, and you could feel vibrations of people walking. Get a few people at the pool and it echos. Not enough to disturb us to not want to stay here again - and we can be a bit sensitive to that stuff. We'll be back for a solid stay and consistency you can count on at Courtyards.

Yelp
My family stayed at this Courtyard hotel a few weeks ago when we escaped the Phoenix heat to spend a few days in Flag. It's everything you would expect from a Courtyard hotel including friendly staff, decent beds, basic bathroom amenities, a mini retail area and on-site restaurant bar, exercise room, etc... This hotel is conveniently located, has plenty of parking and car charging stations too. There are plenty of hotel options in the area, but you can't go wrong staying here.
google avatar

Yelp
Excellent customer service, friendly hotel, clean facilities, quality amenities, prime location with great views, reliable Tesla charging, plenty of charging ports, and convenient access to nearby restaurants and attractions.

Yelp
We stayed at the Courtyard Marriott in Flagstaff for the Triple Crown baseball tournament with our baseball team. We blocked off a group of rooms for our team. Two weeks later we were charged an incidental fee, with the manager, Theresa, claiming there was damage caused by kids. What's unfair is that multiple teams were staying at the hotel. We saw other teams running around unsupervised in the courtyard, yet our team was singled out first and blamed. Later, the hotel ended up charging all the teams, which feels like they just spread the cost without properly investigating who was actually responsible. On top of that, the hotel lacked some basic amenities--no housekeeping because we only stayed two nights , no microwave in the room. We expected more professionalism, clear communication, and better hospitality from a Marriott property. Sadly, this experience was disappointing and left a negative impression. I will never stay at a Marriott again.

Yelp
Great location for a one night stay if you are travelling on the 40. Lots of restaurants around to choose from. Nice and clean property - nothing fancy.
google avatar

David C.

Yelp
Hotel wise, it's basic, but service is very good. Not fancy, but clean. Service from some individuals can be hit and miss, but nothing to egregious for a Courtyard. I do want to say they honored my SNA's which is rare in the US. That is a Marriott Bonvoy insider point. I guess March is the off season, but was nice as other US properties seem to deny my request even when I know they have capacity. Anyway, my review is really as much for the Bistro which I couldn't find a menu for online. When you are tired from driving, the last thing you want to do is wait in the lobby to figure out what everyone wants. Would have been nice to view the menu from the comfort of your room, then call in the order. Anyway, hope the menu pictures helps the next road warrior. Food is good to really good. Menu is limited and prices are on the high side, but if you get the Bonvoy vouchers, it makes up for it. Mostly had breakfast here and can vouch for the avocado toast and sausages. Eggs and potatoes were fine, but not something you can mess up. Biggest surprise were the wings. Best wings I've had in quite a while. Flatbread pizza and hummus were just ok.

Yelp
My room was old, beat up and smelt like sweat. It seemed like all rooms had a balcony, except for the only room available when I was checking in? I was on floor 0, my room had a horrible view and the hallway reminded me of a dungeon. This hotel is definitely not executive level accommodations. The employees are upbeat, friendly and knowledgeable.
google avatar

Yelp
Beautiful setting. Cooler than Phoenix by about 15 degrees. Nice, warm welcome. Clean lobby and room!

Yelp
My husband and I stumbled onto this Courtyard by Marriott while traveling to Colorado. We liked it so much we decided to stay here again on our way home. Very nice clean hotel, friendly staff, safe. What more would one want. I liked it so much we joined Marriott Bonvoy!
google avatar

Sarah S.

Yelp
We loved this hotel. The rooms are very clean and nicely decorated. Beds are super comfortable. Balconies are a nice addition too. Shower pressure on point however, bath towels need to be much bigger. We liked the bar downstairs in the lobby. We spent both nights down there and had some drinks. They had little private tables with tv screens and that was perfect for watching football. The outdoor firepit was also a very nice addition. We would definitely stay here again if we were in the area!

Yelp
We stayed at the Courtyard Marriott during Move-in for our Freshman son. We were here for three nights. The room was very nice with a couch/ottoman that folds out to a bed, although we didn't need that. Really the room has everything except a microwave. Gorgeous property inside and out. So many different places for seating. As someone in the industry, i'm always looking for what can be improved. With so many nice areas to sit in the lobby and outside, why not offer your guests breakfast. It almost seems like the lobby area and hosting breakfast go hand in hand. A little disappointing but it was never advertised breakfast was served. just a great opportunity for Marriott to give your guest a great experience. Instead, you are welcome to order limited food at the coffee bar and you will pay handsomely for it. One of my favorite activities was getting a drink at the bar and sitting outside to watch the sunset. Absolutely gorgeous. The outside area is pretty and expansive. Many of the lights were burned out however and the fire pit wasn't lit the second night (maybe out this task on a checklist). Friendly staff for all three days. 6.00 for parking which seems like a money grab. There was plenty of parking and many empty spots. Overall a great stay.
google avatar

Amy M.

Yelp
Openly practicing discrimination under the ADA with service animals. I have never given a one star review but this manager and the GM of the property deserve it. If you are disabled and ask for a reasonable accommodation the GM has suggested that the manager refused service. Meaning you and your family have a reservation they will turn you away upon check in leaving you stranded. They know this practice is illegal and are unapologetic for it. My service dog and I have over 1,000 stays at Marriott hotels and have NEVER had a problem.
google avatar

Becky D.

Yelp
If I could give this hotel less I would. The check in lady was rude practically speaking over us, and talking to someone else while checking us in about how someone checked out but left a dog in their room. Anyway the reason we booked this hotel was the indoor heated pool, broken. One elevator was broken, but only the buttons you can go up the elevator but not down it. Our room was filthy! There were a white stains all over the couch, the footstool was stained brown like someone tried to wash it but it was gross! We had to call to get sheets to put over the couch so we could put our luggage on it, so glad we upgraded to a king with couch... which we did. The walls had some substance on them? I wiped them down with Clorox wipes along with most surfaces since everything was super dusty. The outlets by the bed don't work so you have to search out other chargers.

Yelp
Based on this stay, I have to give them 3 Stars, however, it's been better. I have stayed in this Courtyard by Marriott Flagstaff several times over the past few years. Checkin was extremely slow as agent didn't seem to know what she was doing. The rooms were reserved and pre-paid, and we had the confirmation numbers. She said she had the rooms but we had to pay for them again. Resisting that, and showing the the rooms were pre-paid, another agent came from the back room, and showed this agent how to do the checkin, and we finally got our rooms. I would say a total of at least 15 minutes of mostly watching the agent stare at the computer screen and making inaudible comments we could not hear or understand, even after repeatedly asking her what she was saying. It was frustratingly slow, but we finally got our rooms. They have rooms, with decent views, some of the courtyard and others of beautiful Flagstaff area. The rooms are a bit smaller than typical Marriott rooms. They have a tiny fridge (no freezer) and typical amenities, however, they do not have a microwave - for me a necessity when they do not have a restaurant. They do have a small snack store, with a very limited offering of products. That could be changing, as their is construction going on the the lobby, that may be a new restaurant - I am hopeful. The pretend Starbucks in the lobby has very limited hours, and a tremendously limited menu. Many of the regular Starbucks menu items are not available here, plus their service is not Starbucks quality. I ordered a toasted bagel, and it was hard as a rock and went straight into the garbage. Hotel is in a great location, near shopping and many mainstream restaurants: Olive Garden, Red Lobster, Sizzler, and Tommy's Burgers are within easy walking distance on their nice woodsy trail down the hill from the Courtyard. The Courtyard is very nice with a fire pit and lots of chairs and lounges for a comfortable relaxing break. The pool is a smaller indoor pool, and the electronic lock on the door doesn't seem to work between 8 AM and 1 PM, according to the front desk, and you have to be let in after waiting in line at the checkin desk. A very frustrating issue, as the lock has been broken for some time, as my last two stays it was the same way. They have a very nice fitness center. I wouldn't hesitate staying in this location again, in spite of my negative experiences on this specific trip, as I am excited to see if the new construction is indeed a new badly needed restaurant. I had several other negative issue this trip that I don't really need to share, and have never had before at this location.

Yelp
Clean hotel easy check in no big deals the best of cars was the Tesla supercharger in the parking lot.

Jon V.

Yelp
DO NOT STAY HERE FOR TESLA CHARGERS. Management doesn't care who parks there and will not enforce. Stayed here for a charging break, but out of the 12 available spots, 7 were occupied overnight with rest being teslas. The front desk staff wasn't helpful; they claimed not to know about the situation despite charging for parking and issuing dash slips for monitoring. I won't choose this place again. The front desk promised the manager would call me at 9 AM, but no call came through. It's frustrating, especially since many Tesla users rely on their app to find available chargers. Arriving to find 7 spots taken by non Evs with rest filled by teslas, and occupied for an extended period from 9 PM to 8 AM, was quite bothersome. Talked to manager. She said anyone can park at the hotel, with no Enforcing of parking fee or who can park in Tesla spot for any amount of time. So anyone that shows open spots on Tesla app for this location, you have a high chance of all of them being taken due to non Evs.

Sam D.

Yelp
This hotel is seriously outdated. Beds were fine but rooms and other areas like fitness center and outdoor seating are dirty and old. There's apparently only one water heater controlling the entire property as told to me by front desk staff when I complained my husband and I were both burned by scalding hot water because the temperature couldn't stay consistent in the shower. Nothing was really offered to accommodate this either just "we'll have someone check it out" and said it wasn't a normal occurrence with other guests even though there's only one main water heater on property. Find that hard to believe. Very lackluster in terms of amenities and definitely not worth the nightly rate they charge. Only the location is the plus.

Yelp
This hotel has the newly renovated Courtyard look. Building appeared to be very well kept and staff was very friendly. Like all Courtyard hotels, breakfast is not free but they have lots of options for breakfast and dinner at the Bistro. The bistro also has a bar which is always a plus after a long day at work. Beds are not super comfy but are not uncomfortable either. Rooms have a desk area as well as a sitting area. Hotel has a outside patio area to hang out by a fire pit.
google avatar

Michelle M.

Yelp
I come through town regularly and this is one of the places I stay the most. The last time was during the epic three-day snow storm of February 2024. At the point when I finally could leave, my car had been packed in by the snow plows and with too much on top to take off the cover. I was trapped. The front desk staff member jumped in to help - she tracked down the maintenance person, and this angelic man (who had no doubt been shoveling literal tons of snow since before dawn) helped dig me out so I could leave. And hey - young woman running the bistro restaurant on Thursday night, who made sure that dozens of stranded guests got at least something to eat as the food ran out and DoorDash shut down...I see you! Hope you got a break after that crazy night. That storm was an ordeal but you made it a lot less of one for your guests.

Michael C.

Yelp
As a Marriott Member with pet, there's an expectation that you should receive excellent customer service, "Thank you" bag, pet treats, and additional service. That was NOT the case in my overnight stay at this Marriott hotel.
google avatar

Brittany H.

Yelp
Booked through a third party for a last minute check in for my trip to Arizona. After an 8 hour drive from Los Angeles and arriving at 1am - knowing I had to be up in a few hours to head over to the Grand Canyon, I didn't have the energy to make a complaint to the FD who, according to their unprofessional manager on duty, would have come up to inspect the room in the middle of the night to tell me if it was up to their standards. Room smelled like smoke, bed was dirty, night stands had dust and sticky stuff all over them. However my problem now isn't that I was dissatisfied with the accommodations. It's the lack of customer service I've received from Kimberly, the manager on duty. Waiting on a call from their GM to discuss further. In short, save your time and spend a little extra money to stay somewhere else. Hands down the worst Marriott experience I've ever had.

Yelp
I recently stayed at the Courtyard Marriott in Flagstaff on July 23rd at the suggestion of a friend. I usually stay at the Springhill Suites in Flagstaff. All I can say is "Wow". It is definitely more updated and has a nice bar in the lobby. Also the rooms are very nice with some having balconies. Based on my stay, my first choice will be the Courtyard. If you have a large group that are considering a stay in Flagstaff, please contact Allison Howard. She will take good care of you.

Yelp
I have stayed at this hotel many times on company visits. The hotel staff and Director of Sales and Marketing Janis Russell are the BEST! The rooms are so clean, the views amazing of the mountains and great customer service. If you are are thinking about hosting a corporate retreat and association meeting, or family reunion this hotel and staff go above and beyond. I love visiting Flagstaff when I can stay at Marriott Courtyard!

Carly M.

Yelp
We like to stay at this Marriott location in Flagstaff because of the Tesla charging stations. It's also a convenient location to restaurants and hiking trails. We stayed during the Covid closures. The hotel front desk had the plexiglass installed which was nice. All the furniture was removed from the lobby and restaurant area. We were told the rooms sit for 48 hours before they are rented out. It did seem weird staying in a hotel again. Nervous about riding in an elevator with someone so we always took the stairs. We brought our own cleaning products to clean the room before we got comfortable. Everything seemed very clean the staff was very knowledgeable of CV. The hotel definitely was taking precautions and I appreciated that tremendously. I can't wait to come back again.
google avatar

Ken P.

Yelp
The hotel is nice, a little outdated but still a nice place to stay. When we were checking in ....the lady that checked us in thought she is too good for this job. May comments that could be taken wrong by a man with a service dog. We did get a nice view and the room is cleaned.
google avatar

Kathy V.

Yelp
Pretty ok. We stayed here for one night on our way from Page to Phoenix. Check in was simple and easy. We were given bottles of water upon check in, which was actually very much welcomed. The rooms were clean and well-appointed. We had pretty much everything we would need for a stay. Beds and pillows were comfortable and the water in the shower was hot. I was glad to have a Starbucks partner in the lobby (though you can't use your Starbuck points/rewards in a redemption way). It meant I didn't need to go anywhere else to get appropriately caffeinated. I appreciated the ongoing Covid protocols, but almost all of the hand sanitizer units in public spaces were empty. But, it being Thanksgiving weekend, it was probably busier than usual and they hadn't refilled them. (I hope....I am giving the benefit of the doubt.) Conveniently located, by all the mass of major brand hotels all clumped near each other just off the highway. Certainly worth considering if you are passing through and need somewhere to lay your head.
google avatar

Charlie L.

Yelp
We stayed here purely for proximity to NAU. The hotel isn't crummy, more like a notch below mediocre. The view from out our window was of the dumpster and there was garbage strewn all over the enclosure which admittedly only a few rooms can see, but it was still incredibly unappealing for us. Several outlets in the room wouldn't hold a plug securely, the pillows needed to be refreshed, the carpet needed a good steam clean, the TV remote didn't work, and there was a weird smell off the lobby by the elevators. Also, why in the world was there a $6 parking fee? The lot is poorly lit and the driveway has no street lightning. At least the gentleman who checked us in was efficient and courteous. Marriott needs to up their game because this place was not up to standard or worth the expense.
google avatar

Yelp
The purpose of a hotel, at it's essence, is to sleep and bathe. Without that, all the marble and internet is pointless. It's 4:00 AM. I have thousands of miles ahead of me. I'm bone tired. I'm awake. Why? The hotel desk clerk put us in a room that smelled like a tart's boudoir. When we complained, he moved us to the room next door. It doesn't stink. We went to bed. After falling asleep to the slamming of the emergency exit, chatter in the parking lot and god-knows-what going on outside my locked window, I woke unable to breathe. The absence of ventilation and bug bites from my new friends made sleep impossible. So, I thought I'd make the best of it and have a hot bath. I know you see this coming but, that's right, no hot water. I'd leave in a huff, but, as I said, it's 4:00 AM. Besides, I'm a little afraid of that parking lot.
google avatar

Ken K.

Yelp
The young lady at the front desk with the tattoos can roll her eyes at me all she wants. We are paying good money for our room and to sit here and wait until nearly 4pm is ridiculous. Your 4pm check in is like stealing because people are paying for the entire day but only get 8 hours in the room if they are lucky to check in at 4. How about having the the cleaning crew early in the morning so that people that drive hours to get there may have a chance of checking in instead making them wait for 6 hours because they haven't even started cleaning the rooms. Additionally, don't give me the "we were sold out last night " crap with only 11 cars in the parking lot.
google avatar

Lisa T.

Yelp
We stayed 2 nights in this hotel, and it was conveniently located. The beds were super comfortable and the room was clean and quiet. Staff was very friendly. The only negative aspect (which is the reason for 4 stars instead of 5) is the lack of a continental breakfast. We've stayed in a lot less expensive hotels and most offer a selection of breakfast items for guests. This hotel does not. We did enjoy the courtyard area with the fireplace, and areas for those of us who smoke to also enjoy the scenery and beauty of the area. If we are ever back in the area again, we'd definitely choose this hotel. Thank you.
google avatar

Kathleen W.

Yelp
I redeemed points for this stay. I was venturing to Petrified Forest National Park, and I needed a place for the night. I had a bunch of points, so I cashed them in. My room was recently remodeled, and was very nice. The view was of some trees, but that's okay. The tv was large, and it was March Madness, so I appreciated that. I did not eat any food at this hotel, so I cannot comment on that. The hotel lost a star because a week after I checked out, my credit card blocked a couple of charges from the hotel at small numbers as if someone was testing the card. For that, it is a loss of a star. Not cool.

Yelp
Truly disappointed with our experience here on this visit. As a Gold Bon Voy member, I'm more accustomed to upgrades instead of downgrades. We reserved and paid for a King room - we received a Queen room with no explanation or apology. We were dead tired and it was late, so we didn't have the energy to deal with a room swap by the time we crawled into the bed. When showering in the morning, the bathtub had a slow drain so we had to stand in 4" of other people's filth. It was truly disgusting! Room location, pillow, and towel preferences from my Bon Voy profile were completely ignored. This is not what I've come to expect from the Marriott brand or Gold-level Bon Voy. The front desk seemed un-phased by our feedback, nor did they offer any concessions. I was so mad, I just walked out. Pathetic experience, Marriott.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I stayed at this hotel over the weekend on a whim we wanted to go up North and this was one of the only hotels with rooms. Our stay was fine. The staff was friendly, the rooms were quiet and clean, and there was ample parking. Upon departure however, we were charged with a "smoking fee" when there was no smoking that occurred in the room. When I called to dispute the charges, I was told the room "smelled" and that there was trash in the trashcan indicating there was smoking. We emptied out a bag from our car, into the hotel room trash can. We never smoked in the room. I informed the hotel of this when I spoke with them on the phone while questioning the charge. I was told they would refund the charge since there was no evidence of actual smoking in the room. The charge was never removed and we never heard from them again on why they decided to still charge us for something we didn't do. So if you stay here, be weary about bogus charges to your credit card with zero evidence.

Yelp
Decent stay here at this property. Good location with lots of plazas and dining or shopping options close by. Semi far drive to Grand Canyon. Was lucky not to experience the other bad reviews that the other Yelpers experienced. - Rooms. Typical of any Courtyard property. No frills and nothing special. The one thing that stood out when we checked in the place was that smelled clean and disinfected. That immediately put us at ease. Actually, the entire hotel smelled clean. - Customer Service. Very good experience. We have been contacting them before and throughout, and they were helpful in helping us get ready for our Grand Canyon trip. Very attentive staff. I can not thank them enough for all the help and assistance. - Others. Only reason why I didn't give them 5 stars is the parking! Kinda unfair to charge guests to park in the property, in my opinion. Hope management reverses this and removes this unnecessary charge. TIP: Go to Freddy's across the street for fast food. Very highly recommended and check out my separate review. Good spot but may lodge closer to the Grand Canyon next time. Will stay here again though as Flagstaff seems to be a good spot to break out the drive. Highly recommended lodging facility.

Yelp
The room was decent. However to ask customers to pay for parking, breakfast and everything else seems like a stretch. I was not impressed. Furthermore, the parking lot is so narrow only one car fits at a time which seems unsafe since you have to come up and down a hill to get to the front. We have used other hotels and this was not the policy. Just a heads up.

Yelp
Drove Tesla up from Phoenix so supercharger in the parking lot was a big plus. Checked in at 11am even though it was a Saturday. There are many parking spaces, but got charged $6.00 a night for parking. No free breakfast so I went out to nearby restaurant. Hot water for shower even though freezing out. No microwave in the room just mini fridge, and tv volume is set really low and you can't change it. 3/5.

Yelp
***This Courtyard, which sits on a hill, provides nice views and has a slightly outdoorsy exterior look that reminds me of properties in Denver and Boulder. Once you are in your room, it is really similar to any other Courtyard, but it is clean and comfortable. Room rates are decent, but with the nearby outdoors activities, the area can get busy with lots of traffic making getting in and out of the hotel not easy sometimes*** While most Courtyards offer free parking, you will have to pay parking for here. Parking is self parking.

Yelp
This place is honestly not worth your time nor money. I have stayed in many Courtyards and was expecting a lot more from one in Flagstaff. The air vents were making loud humming all night and at times more shrieking. Needless to say I did not sleep much for the two night i was there. Super small bathroom and the $6 charge for parking, which you do yourself and is plentiful, is just an added uncharge that I think can be avoided. Especially given the room rate was about $320/night for this place. The one star does go for the front desk people who kindly took my advice to have maintenance check it out and for the Tesla Supercharger to be on premises, a perk we intentionally planned to utilize b/c of the car. Otherwise, go almost anywhere else.

Yelp
Bri at the front desk was wonderful! We wanted to extend our trip without going way over budget. We took the kids up to Snowbowl and waited for her call. Bri was so helpful and accommodating and found us a great deal that was perfect for us! The room was spacious, clean and very comfortable. Anytime we're in flagstaff, this is where we'll stay. It's in a great location with plenty of chain restaurants around but also a good distance from downtown and a lot of local spots!

Yelp
It's a mixed bag here. And based on the previous reviews you either get lucky or don't. If you are used to staying in Courtyards this location is no different. The rooms are all updated with the standard layouts and the lobby has the Starbucks and full service breakfast - but due to Covid they were offering a very limited menu (mostly cold options). The rooms were clean and the employees were polite. I booked through American Express travel which for all Fine Hotels and Resorts guarantees late 4pm check out. Marriott is not a Fine Hotel and Resort but it is a partnering vendor with Amex. When booking the night they said the 4pm late checkout would be honored. When we checked in the front desk I asked about the late checkout. They said I had to call in the morning to request. So I called down in the morning and they basically said no, they could only accommodate until noon. I honestly should have just booked somewhere else. When traveling with a little one who naps we were trying to plan for her to nap in the room - well that didn't happen. I honestly told my hubby I didn't want to be a Karen and call Amex Travel to call the front desk. It just seems like they didn't really care anyway and was just moving along to the next inquiry. If you are passing through, no need for hot food and are comfortable with the check in and out time this location checks all the standard Courtyard boxes for you. There are many hotels though in the area much cheaper that I would check out next time. One plus side - there are Tesla Supercharger in the parking lot.

Yelp
The window with the view that we were supposed to have.Had handmarks all over it from being filthy and was distorting the beautiful view of the snow outside also there was a knock in the wall at about 5:30 in the morning that kept me from sleeping and I was trying to sleep in till check out time.I know That when I took a shower the knock came back so it is a water hammer that needs to be addressed. I told the manager so much for some good sleep. You would think for $200 this place would have been a little better.

Yelp
Do NOT STAY ON GROUND FLOOR If I could give one star I would. This was the worst hotel I've ever stayed at in my entire life. I had to book last minute which was about a week in advance and I requested to be on a certain floor level when I arrived.. However, when we arrived, we were placed on the ground floor. We got no sleep that night because their were Babies crying, dogs barking, and people stomping above us. We reported it numerous times and requested to be moved but it never happened. This was literally a nightmare and I would never stay here again!

Yelp
Comfortable, clean, and quiet stay. For me, perfect. It was an unusually attractive property and had a ski chalet vibe, given the surrounding mountains and architecture. The staff were excellent and the parking is free and plentiful. The property is up to date. About the only differences I notice across these properties are the ones in need of a face lift. Most are great.

Yelp
This is a little gem nested in the heart of flagstaff right off the 17. The location is ideal as there is a Walmart across the street and it is situated off the 17. The tv Boeing area is extremely comfortable, as well as the market/bar area where you can get a beverage or salad. In addition, there is a outdoor open pit fire area where you can sit and enjoy the crisp air! The rooms are tidy and up to date. The staff is accommodating and kind.

Yelp
COVID 19 review: Had a great stay but was disappointed that the mask policy was not remotely being enforced by the front desk staff. During our 2 night stay we witnessed guests talking on their phone in the lobby without a mask, working on their laptop without a mask, etc. I even saw a guy walk in without a mask, chat with the front desk staff for a few mins and they let him walk away (presumably to the elevators to go to his room) without asking or reminding him to put on a mask. This is especially dangerous now that we know the virus is airborne. The hotel is nice and we love that they have Tesla chargers but won't be staying here again until it's safe.
