Courtyard by Marriott Osaka Honmachi A great hotel in an ideal location. The whole place is very modern and functional, and the rooms have everything you need to feel comfortable. Extremely clean, very quiet — perfect for a good night’s sleep. The bar on the ground floor is also good and offers plenty. Breakfast is tasty, with a large variety of different dishes. One thing to keep in mind: you need to stick to your selected time slot. For us Europeans that’s a bit unusual, but in Japan they are strict about it — when your slot is over, you really do have to leave your table. The location is perfect. You can reach a lot on foot, and the metro is literally a one-minute walk away. The team on site did a great job. Just a big “thank you” from my side. Well done, Team Courtyard Osaka Honmachi!

With access to a train station just around the corner and plenty of nice restaurants nearby, this hotel seems to be a popular choice. The room is not as spacious as I would've imagined but it is comfortable and very clean. The front desk team was very friendly and made the check in experience fun. We had a full, well informed itinerary so we didnt really engaged them so much for assistance. The lobby isn't very big as well but they do have a lounge and there is a coffee machine there for guests! They also have a gym, which my nephew had used once or twice in the late evenings and I had forgotten to take some pics there ha ha!

Great hotel in a convenient area. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The rooms are a bit small but have everything you need with very nice fixtures. The steam shower was wonderful! This is a very high end Courtyard at a great price. Would highly recommend.

Very near to Sakaisuji line and a bit further from Midosuji line. The beds are very comfortable. The area around Honmachi is not lively unlike Namba or Shinsaibashi. The breakfast is not worth it but the staff are very helpful including helping me to arrange luggage delivery to Tokyo on my check out date. It has a small gym with two threadmills and other exercise equipment such as weights. Access to gym is included unlike some hotels in Tokyo (5 stars) who charges for usage. Would definitely consider this hotel in future.

I booked a Courtyard King room as a Titanium member. On check in I was told by the front desk that I received an upgrade to a higher floor however it was the exact same room type. It seems to me that all of the non-suite and non-collaboration rooms at this hotel are the same room on different series of floors so I did not consider this an upgrade. ||The room itself was simple, clean, modern, and what I needed out of a room and nothing that I did not. It met my expectations for the Courtyard brand. Definitely an upgrade over a local business hotel.||The hotel itself is located right next to Sakisuji-Honmachi Station on the Osaka Metro Sakaisuji Line as well as the Chuo Line. I actually leverage the Sakaisuji Line quite often so this hotel is convenient for my purposes. ||This Courtyard is a bit strange in that I was told breakfast is not an option for elite members and instead a daily credit is offered. This is closer in line to the US domestic model as well as the international Moxy model. Incidentally there is a Moxy a few blocks north of the hotel however the Courtyard is much closer to the subway station so this is more convenient. Elite members get a discount off the breakfast buffet however the daily credit is still insufficient to cover it. If you’re an elite member and breakfast is important then you will need to cover the difference however if you prefer the flexibility of a daily credit then the option is here for you.||The facilities were sufficient for my purposes and I liked the convenient location next to the subway. There is also a Saizeriya and 7-11 on the same block. For a good rate I think this is a good hotel.

We spent two rooms and five nights at this hotel during my brother’s birthday trip. Initially, I had a negative impression because the staff wasn’t fluent in English when I called to arrange the surprise party. However, upon arrival, the hotel was pleasant. The location was the main reason we chose it—the subway station was just a short 50-meter walk away. The only downside was that there was no elevator or escalator on this side of the subway. The breakfast was average, and the gym was located on the B1 floor. I personally found the underground gym unpleasant because it made me feel uncomfortable. Finally, I want to give special thanks to Darai Laxmi, who checked us in and was incredibly generous. She understood my needs and delivered them as expected.

Good experience with family at this Marriott hotel.. Good size room with everything in great condition. Special thanks to Aakriti for making our stay comfortable, attending to our needs and Jun Hyung for going extra miles to assist to me to look for new golf club due to language barrier.

We stayed at the Courtyard Marriott Honmachi for five nights during our visit to Osaka and had a wonderful experience. The hotel is ideally located between two metro lines: the Red Hommachi Line and the Brown Sakaisuji Hommachi Line. Dotonbori is about a 25-minute walk away, though it could take longer if you enjoy window shopping as much as I do. Therefore, it's more convenient to take the metro, just two stops away. Our King-size room was spacious and well-equipped, featuring a shower stocked with shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. Our room rate included daily breakfast, which was absolutely delicious. Each morning, I enjoyed a traditional Japanese breakfast with options like miso soup, udon, grilled fish, sweet tangerines--so healthy and satisfying! The staff at the lobby were exceptionally friendly, courteous, and fluent in English, making our stay even more pleasant. Traveling from Kansai Airport, we took the Nankai Airport Express to Namba Station and then used the Go Taxi app to reach the hotel since we had luggage. Thank you for an excellent stay.

Don't stay here. We shipped our suitcase to this location from another Marriott located in Tokyo and our suitcase was opened and the lock was missing. Luckily nothing was missing as all the important and expensive items that was worth any money was with me; the only thing inside was dirty laundry and some candy that I bought to bring back to the U.S. When I brought it to the attention of the staff, I was given a letter stating, we are sorry but we cannot confirm when the lock was missing so therefore there is nothing they can do. Basically stating I'm out of luck.

Stayed in room 704 The hotel is literal minutes from exiting the train station.. I wish all the hotels we stayed at was that easy. It's close to transportion but it wasn't near attractions like Dotonburi or Universal. But again, you're near a station so you can walk outside to the station and get on a train to wherever. During our stay, free soba noodles were available in their restaurant for a mid-night snack. And it was vegan.. The room was standard, I think. There was pajamas in the room! But unlike the other pajamas in other hotels we had stayed at, it was a long white shirt/gown. There was self laundry available.. I didn't use all the facilities when I stayed but for the location right out of the train station--- 5 stars. And it's a really nice looking Courtyard Marriott.. I also had an issue and needed a translator to call and speak for me and Claire at the front desk was amazing. She spoke English well enough to communicate with me and middle man my query.. She even followed up with me. Great service.

Beautiful modern property. Centrally located. Great buffet breakfast. Incredibly clean and sophisticated. Great customer service as most places in Japan are. I had to knock off a star because the fitness center is located on the same floor as the smoking room. You couldn't get away from the smoke which was terrible. The smell from the smoke made me nauseous especially as I was running on the tread mill. Other than that I would definitely recommend this property.
