The rooms were very clean and everything worked correctly [even the sockets - rare that they all work these days!]. There was no split bathroom so toilet, shower, mirror/sink are all behind one door which did slow us down getting ready a bit - such is life but worth noting. The front desk staff was very helpful and kind! It was very nice to have the outside street seating to sit and take care of work and other things during breaks between sightseeing jaunts.

The hotel standard hotel with comfy and spacious rooms was comfortable after long travel hours. The room has the basic things you need to be comfortable. Rooms are clean and technical support is available. Internet is not a problem and TV experience was good. The hotel can work on its customer service as my first experience was not too encouraging. The other person at the reception was however nice. This is my first hotel experience in the US and I am unsure whether other hotels do not provide complimentary breakfast. I'd wished this was provided as part of the package.

Had to right a review since older reviews scared me before we left on this trip. The broken elevator mentioned in previous reviews seemed to be fixed. So no issues waiting on an elevator. Also rooms were clean (showers had older tiles). Staff was SUPER nice. Loved that they gave us each 2 bottles of water on check in. Also because I used AAA card, the parking was discounted. The location is great if you are going to the Arena Stage for a show. If the weather was a little warmer, walking to the Mall would be a nice 20 min walk. Would definitely stay here again.

Nice hotel situated in a good location with very walkable restaurants and shops. Surprised by the lobby restaurant/bar and the fact the food was really pretty good. Don’t let the looks of it persuade you from eating there. Overall, good visit for work!!

Absolutely appalling. Shame on the Marriott. Do not trust high reviews. Do not *ever* pay for/use their gated parking garage --later found out it's not actually owned by them; it is a full on scam. Marriott plays dumb and will not help you, but they have no problem keeping you locked in against your will, demanding payment.

Location was convenient for events I was attending. Check-in was easy, staff friendly, and room was clean. Took a nice walk to the Senate Building which was fairly close. |Various Coffee Shops close by, along with a Harris Teeter and Whole Foods. Metro Stop is one block away.

Conveniently located, efficient service. Renovation makes the room very usable. Many nice eating places nearby. Christopher Henry is especially the best. He is always there to solve problems & help out & makes the stay very comfortable. He is an asset for the hotel.

After a full day, I returned to my room and discovered there was no room service. It was at night. I called the front desk for some coffee. The clerk said she only had decaf, not what I hoped for. Also, housekeeping had left and wouldn’t come back till 9:30 am the next morning. When I checked out the clerk made no eye contact, didn’t answer my questions, said no single words to me. I thought Marriott would have better customer service than this.
