Courtyard by Marriott Clearwater Beach

We had our youth hockey team stay at this property while in Tampa for a tournament. Everything was awesome. Thank you to the staff for making us feel welcome and taken care of. The amenities, location and value was fantastic. Pool - awesome Rooftop Bar - awesome Lobby - awesome Gym - awesome Flipside Pizza - awesome Valet Staff - outstanding, especially with lots of families coming and going at game times!

The hotel bathroom floor needed to be cleaned better. The floor had hair along the baseboards and under the toilet. The fridge had to be reset every 2 hours, which is a problem for food to stay edible in the morning. I wish it would have just stayed on the whole time we were there. And the microwave door wouldn’t work unless we pressed the clear button, which we didn’t know until the handy man came. The view was nice. The sheets were clean and the customer service was over all satisfactory. It is a nice place, but needs a little attention to detail.

The hotel is in a very convenient location. Just across a parking lot is a street full of restaurants, making dining extremely easy. The beach is also very close and within walking distance. The room was clean and well maintained. The staff were friendly and thoughtful—since we tended to wake up late, even though we did not request housekeeping, they still made sure we had fresh, clean towels prepared for us. Overall, it was a comfortable and pleasant stay.

We stayed at this hotel for two nights and were disappointed with several aspects of our experience. It seems the hotel may be understaffed during the off-season, which negatively impacted the overall service and guest experience. While the rooms are spacious, they clearly need better maintenance. Several items were not functioning properly, including some lights, the iron, and the bathtub faucet. Additionally, there was no full-length mirror and no convenient place to hang bath towels, which was inconvenient. The valet service is extremely expensive and very slow. Even on a regular day, we had to wait over 10 minutes to receive our car. Breakfast service was by far the most frustrating part of our stay. Ordering two breakfast sandwiches took more than 30 minutes. We had breakfast twice during our stay, and this was easily the slowest breakfast service I’ve ever experienced. Considering the high room rates, I would not recommend this hotel. There are likely better options available in the same price range.

The Courtyard is a great place to stay in Clearwater Beach! The location is fabulous - it’s near Pier 60 and super walkable to the great restaurants on the strip. The experience started off nicely with the friendly and very helpful front desk staff, Karmalita and Seselli. I frequented the front desk often throughout my stay to get new keys and was taken with Niqua’s gentle and knowledgeable demeanor. Thank you! A big shoutout to the chef who prepared delicious morning breakfasts served by Betsy with an engaging smile. I look forward to my next trip!!

Very nice, clean hotel near the beach. The pool was amazing and wish we had more time to use it. The beach was walkable distance and conveniently located to both Walgreens and CVS. The breakfast situation was the only thing wonky as they go by tokens and not per diem. So we didn’t know how much we could spend a day as we had two kids with us. We did get charged for the breakfast at the restaurant that we already paid for when we reserved the room and hoping to get refunded. I would recommend avoiding to pay for your breakfast when reserving your room as to not double pay.

Clean and updated rooms except some outlets didn't work. The roof top bar was closed and that was a big reason we stayed here, to enjoy the view. But our room had a great view to watch the sunset. Very friendly staff.

My husband and I decided to get away for a night and stayed here last night. The hotel is clean, up to date and the staff is very friendly and accommodating. It's in the perfect location, close enough to everything, yet not right on the main strip. Definitely will stay here again!

What a great find! Excellent views on either side of the hotel, with ocean or bay and marina views. The rooms were huge and both the bedroom and living rooms had very large TVs. Soft beds, clean rooms, and has small kitchen with fridge. Perfect for long stays. Our room had an incredibly large balcony overlooking pool and ocean. We will definitely be staying here again. Disappointed rooftop bar closed this weekend that was one of their selling points. And no alcohol allowed on the pool area. I feel this can be remedied by only allowing drinks sold in the market or bistro when it is open, and only allow plastic cups or cans. Also the elevator situation is what knocks down the review one star. Some elevators only go to floors 1-4, 4-8, and some for 1-8. I understand they probably thought it would lessen wait times to get to the lobby on the 4th floor but it really slowed down the elevators going all the way up and down.

For the roof top bar! 5 stars- the Zac Efron lookalike bartender took excellent care of some weary travellers, scrounged up some mint for some excellent mojitos and shared a family recipe for mint syrup!

I just checked in and was heavily disappointed. First of all the parking is Valet only, which is already kinda stupid as my family comes and goes from the hotel several times a day, but I got over that quickly. HOWEVER, when we went to check in we were told the valet charge was NOT included in the already outrageous price and was $31 A NIGHT!! Are you kidding me? That was already outrageous. Additionally, the room is tiny, there are no trash bags, no "do not disturb" option, the fridge wont fit one McDonald's meal, and there is VERY minimal storage. Like 3 drawers and a tiny closet. I am HIGHLY disappointed and will not be booking with Courtyard again. This may be an overreaction to some, but trust me this hotel is definitely not worth the price.

The staff is the best, they go above and beyond for the guest. Special acknowledgement to Naomi, she is not only help, bit bends over backwards to make certain that the guest was taken care of. Thank you so much for being kind, helpful, and gracious.

Travelers Beware!! Items of clothing missing from our room. I notified management and nothing was done, I was told to file a police report by management. Untrustworthy housekeeping staff. Other guest have also reported missing items. Zero star rating

Where do I even begin!! Highly recommend this hotel! 5 minute walk to basically everything including the beach! Super clean! Tameka at the front desk was super friendly and helpful! Jared at the rooftop bar was so great!! I wish I knew the names of the sweet men at the valet! This was our second time back at this hotel within two months and I don't think we would ever stay anywhere else while we are in Clearwater !!
