I stay in 10-15 courtyard properties a year while traveling for work, so this rating is based on this being the worst courtyard property I've stayed at in the US in the past 5 years. Let me start off by saying that the staff here were very nice and did whatever they could to be helpful. However, they just can't make up for the poor state of the property itself.
To begin my stay, I noticed that this was the first Marriott property where, as a platinum member, I wasn't offered a bottle of water at check-in or in the room. You will find that nothing here is complimentary. I grabbed a glass of water in the lobby, and it tasted like the fruit had been soaking in warm water for two days. It was still there the next day, so I'd avoid that free water. Neither the Wi-Fi nor the phone worked during my entire stay in my room. The phone not working became a problem when my bathroom door locked itself shut, so at 4:30 am, I had to get dressed and walk to the lobby to find someone to help open it. The bar/restaurant is run by one person who is completely overwhelmed in the morning, so you can't get a coffee or breakfast here before you start your day. The gym is tiny. I was inside working out, and another person walked in. We both laughed as he had nowhere to go and just left. There was one towel on the first day and none on the second, so the gym being an amenity is an afterthought.
I can't recommend enough that you find another property to stay at. Other than the nice staff, there is nothing good about this property. The location is bad, and there is no reliable internet (or phone..) The room is run-down and falling apart, and the gym is unusable. The breakfast option is inaccessible, and you will be nickel-and-dimed for everything, including water, so the cost of staying here is not cheaper than other options close by.
