Great hotel in a super convenient location! Parking was easy and right next to the building. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful from the moment I arrived. I had a minor issue with the door lock, and they sent maintenance up immediately and it was resolved in no time. The hotel was quiet, clean, and the beds were SO comfy. Pool was temporarily closed due to maintenance. Would definitely stay here again!

Parking was plentiful but there needed to be better signage. Similar to other reviews, the pool was closed, but the front desk did provide a solution, which we appreciated and used. The room was great, and the beds were really comfortable. You can't beat the location for downtown Keene. Tip: The co-op that's within walking distance has plenty of great food if you want to skip the Bistro. My family and I had breakfast there and they had bagels, sandwiches, coffee, and a comfortable eating area. Not sure if we would stay there again, mostly due to the disappointment from the pool being closed.

We had a wonderful breakfast this morning! The food was absolutely delicious, fresh, and well-prepared. Everything we ordered was flavorful and exceeded our expectations. On top of that, the service was outstanding—our server Mr. Scott was incredibly friendly, attentive, and made us feel truly welcome. Scott and us had a good conversation and made my family feel really good about the whole place. The warm and inviting atmosphere added to the overall experience. We’ll definitely be coming back and highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great meal!

Parking was a nightmare since the hotel was full. Hall carpet was dirty. Room was out of body wash. When I tried to reach the soap on the sink from my shower I got tangled in the shower curtain and smashed my face on the counter. The air didn't have a way to keep the fan on so it turned off and on all night (loudly) Bed was creaky. Pool was closed for unknown repairs. Looked like it was just being used for storage. There was no free breakfast. I recommend the Diner two blocks away or one of the many coffee shops or even the CoOp next door over the hotel food.

This hotel is just OK, however the service and the way they treat guests is terrible. We were staying here for our daughter’s graduation from college. They have a nice lounge area and we went there for a drink on Friday night. My wife asked for hot water for tea and the bartender said to her “you can’t brew it in your room?” We wrote this off as him being tired and overworked. The next morning, we went down to the lounge for breakfast. The same worker was serving and when he saw my wife he referred to her as “the hot water lady.” It was starting to make my wife feel uncomfortable. We couldn’t tell if he was joking or not, but we spent $80 on a mediocre breakfast in which they “forgot” to bring my wife’s order out to her. After the commencement ceremony, we returned to the hotel and we wanted to relax in the lounge with my brother and sister-in-law, who were also guests there. This time, we all brewed our tea in our rooms and went down to the lounge so we could sit together. The employee saw us with our tea and told us we could not sit in the lounge because the management does not allow food or drinks from outside vendors. We were forced to sit in the lobby waiting area. We spoke with the hotel supervisor, who told us because they serve food in the “bistro“ management does not want food from other vendors eaten in the lounge area. However, keep in mind, we were drinking tea, which we made in our hotel room. And, the bistro was not even open for dinner when we went down there. They did tell us we could sit in the lounge but our wives were so upset and uncomfortable from the way we were spoken to, they did not want to go back there. This was one of the strangest, most unfriendly experiences we ever had at a hotel. We have stayed at this hotel several times but we will never stay there again. I strongly encourage people considering to stay overnight in Keene to look for better, more accommodating options.

Location is fantastic- a block off the historic Main st with plenty of options for food & shopping. Lobby is nicely appointed and even has a pool table. Pool was out of service (which is frustrating when you book places based on having a pool), it would have been nice to have been notified prior to check in. We'll likely visit again.

Came to this Courtyard for a quick one night stay while visiting Keene. We picked it for the location and ease to walk downtown, and it delivered. Couldn't ask for an easier place to park and stay if you wanted to browse the main street. The hotel was decently clean and seemed on the newer side of things. Our sleep quality was okay, even for a night with a lot of hockey families in town, it was pretty quite. I would say the challenge for us on the stay was that they seemed a bit overwhelmed by the occupancy that day. We did have to wait till the check in at 4 p.m. which seemed a bit later than "normal" and they had a room full of people waiting so when 4 p.m. hit it was a bit of a cluster checking in and they still didn't have all the rooms ready. That was really the downside for us in the experience. Other than that it was a good stay and I think for the location of the hotel we would stay here again for that reason.

A convenient hotel located in the downtown area. Easy walking distance to plenty of entertainment spots, shopping, restaurants and breweries. The hotel is a block back from Main Street but not very far from everything. The hotel is located on the Cheshire walking trail. There's also a small market next door. The room was clean and the bed was comfy. The gym had easy to use equipment w TV on the wall and treadmills. There's a Starbucks where you can get breakfast off the lobby area. A bar and pool table are there too. The pool was not open when I was staying there.

Yelp
Where to begin? We had a wonderful experience staying at the Courtyard Marriot downtown Keene. It was walking distance to the local stores and resturants. We had no idea about Keenes famous pumpkin festival which took place over the weekend of our stay. The hotel was nice. Cllean. Great ammenities. The hightlight of our stay was meeting Scott! He was our barista in the morning and our bartendar in the evening. What an EXCEPTIONAL HUMAN BEING!! Truly a top notch employee who became our friend. He should either be the ambassador for the Marriot, a tour guide or even the Mayor of Keene. His professionalism, friendly spirit, smile, helpful nature made our stay extra special. He made sure that every single person even the kids staying there were taken care of. Now that we've returned home our family was bummed out this morning not being able to banter with Scott while he made us our coffee drinks. And we didn't get our Scotty sprinkles. Not often does one stay at a hotel and actually get treated like family. We now consider us our friend. The staff was super helpful and always greeted us with a smile. If we ever visit Kerne we'll be sure to stay at the Courtyard Marriot. Thank you Scott & Tia for your incredible hospitality. Yelp
I wish I could give this place a higher ranking because our room itself was nice and the location was great, but we left with a very bad taste in our mouths after a negative experience. We are frequent travelers, and my husband especially is in different hotels every week and have never had an experience quite like this: we arrived a couple of hours before check-in, probably around 1:45pm....so not first thing in the morning, but at a time when one could reasonably expect a room to be ready, or to be ready shortly, for a 4pm check-in. What we were met with instead, was a packed lobby full of angry patrons. It turns out they had not allowed anyone to check-in that day, which we've never herd of before in all our travels at hotels.....they would not let a single party check in before 4pm, on a rainy day when we were all stuck in the lobby with crying babies, dogs, etc. It was a nightmare. As 4pm approached the line at the counter grew and grew so it was another nightmare once they finally allowed every single party to check in at once. Many customers complained, to which the employees insisted the manager was unavailable. As previously stated, the room itself was fine, the location had great walkability had it not been pouring rain, but the level of dysfunction, unprofessionalism, and overall chaos leaves me feeling like this 2 star rating is pretty generous. Terrible experience and definitely would not stay again. We are gold level with Marriott and I still wouldn't stay, even though we didn't pay for our visit. A free night isn't worth the drama!

Yelp
My family and I stopped in here on a late night driving through New Hampshire on our way to Vermont in New York. Got here about 1130 at night just need a place to crash. Unfortunately this hotel was one of the worst ones that we stayed in while we were visiting 14 different states this summer. The room itself was in a weird position where our bed was facing not the TV but a wall so that was unique and strange the room was really small they did not have coffee they did not have breakfast and it was not in the best location so overall not really too impressed with this place

Yelp
Horrible!!! They gave away my confirmed room type to someone else. I had a confirmed reservation for Monday - Friday. Then they put me in a Handicap room. I'm not handicap. I'm sorry if I took any disabled persons room. I was told that I could have my room on Wednesday. Who wants to unpack then pack then unpack again just to have the room I requested. I stay in a different hotel every week. Im not gonna stay at a Marriot again. The front desk said another employee changed my room without giving a specific reason. I specifically selected this hotel for a specific room type.

Yelp
We stayed overnight here for an early business meeting the next day. Parking is a bit of a pain, the hotel is rather oddly configured location-wise - relative to the parking. It was incredibly cold out - down to about 10 degrees - so parking as close as possible was desirable - but with the way the parking is at this location - was not possible. The closest lot to the building was filled when we arrived. When we arrived in the evening, the staff person at the front desk was engaged in a rather long phone conversation with someone - and she paused to ask us to wait. We waited for about 5 minutes. Not a long wait, but after a long day it would have been nice if there were a second staff person manning the front desk. My room was on the 3rd floor - very clean and comfortable. The room included a digital thermostat control - which worked well. The room was way to warm and stuffy when I arrived - I was able to easily get the room to the temp I desired. Free internet access is provided - but was somewhat on the slow and poky side. I had a hard time keeping my iPhone connected to their WiFi - their network was acting a bit wonky. This is the first Courtyard where I have encountered a pool table in the lounge. So we played a few rounds of pool while I quaffed a delicious local Pale Ale from the bar (Resonation Pale Ale, Great Rhythm Brewing Co., Portsmouth, NH). The lobby/lounge area has a decent amount of seating, you can get the usual limited Courtyard meal offerings here, as well as coffee, tea, bar offerings. I would stay here again. I think this is probably the nicest of the hotels located in the Keene, NH area...

Yelp
I will give this place an overall 3.5 to 4 stars. It is overall a good hotel but leaves some room for improvement. First off, I believe you should have complimentary coffee and breakfast. Atleast have complimentary coffee, it is inexpensive for the most part. Luckily I had gotten the breakfast and stay combo. However, I feel the breakfast were limited and nothing special. The room was very clean and spacious. The staff was overall nice and professional. I utilized the gym and it was your typical gym with mostly cardio machines. The pool might as well be a big hot tub since it's only 3 ft deep and maybe 15ft long. Some of the positives here are the rooms are nice, Internet is free and fast, and staff are overall nice. Another good thing is you are surrounded by a bunch of bars and restaurants within a 1-2 mile radius.

Yelp
We stayed in Keene for 2 nights over Thanksgiving to visit with family. We brought our dogs and the Marriott was okay with that. I gave them a star for that. Otherwise the place was clean and orderly, that gets them another star. I'm big in pillows, they lost a start for that. The bed was a little stiffer than I care for. The bath towels were very small. They had good quality product in the showers and the staff was friendly and helpful. These are people working over the Thanksgiving weekend and we really appreciate them being there. My only other complaint was that we were trying to watch Netflix on the TV and bandwidth was an ongoing issue. This was Thanksgiving night and probably everyone was back from their dinner and using up the Wifi. Still annoying. But a 12pm checkout and easy parking makes up for stuff like that. Can't give them 4 stars but 3.5 is probably what they deserve.

Yelp
I am more than disappointed in the courtyard. I went to school in keene and am very familiar with this hotel.... which is why we stayed here one night visiting friends, but it was horrible. In addition to this, I was told we would get an email from a manager following up about our concers which were not addressed whatsoever. When this promise was made, my husband explained that if we do not hear, we will leave a review. 5 days later...... here I am. First, we go there at 4 o'clock which is check in time and we could not check in as no rooms were ready for us. But we had plans so this really threw a wrench and made us late for our plans. Not to mention that the front desk tried to pass off a nice breakfast "on the house" as an offer for the inconvienence.... but this is already included with the stupidly high price we paid to stay here. Next, when we finally got a room, the bathtub would not drain when my husband showered... gross. When we complained to the same front desk person, she said "they didnt leave me a maintenence person" well, we need to use the shower. They NEVER sent someone. Next, we needed to shower the next morning, so we just had to take out chnaces with the gross dirty water form the night before........ When we ran the shower, the alarm starts going off in our room. the front desk calls to check in and tells us that its the steam from the shower. Well..... it was 730 am and just terrible. Upon check out, my fiance complained to the desk to explain our overall horrible experience in a room that cost us $350 for one night. This is where nothing was done, they checked us out and told us to keep an eye out for a "follow up email" it has been five days with no word. So now I am writing this review. At this point, I just want my money back and people to know that this place doesnt care about your stay.

Yelp
Booked a room here on a Saturday night in February. Two queen beds. It was very cheap (about $129 total). Prices are much higher with warmer weather and in the fall. As we checked in, we were greeted with a smile and the man working the desk was very kind and friendly. Our room was clean besides when we were packing up to go we noticed another guest left their.. ummm.. pipe under the bed. Housekeeping should double check that! ;) but overall, everything else was great. They serve Starbucks and breakfast in the mornings. This is not complimentary. They also have a small bar open at night. Great location. Easy walking distance to many restaurants and bars. Plenty of parking as well. I would definitely stay here again!

Yelp
With one child's boyfriend currently attending Keene and another child soon to be attending, we've visited a few times over the past 6 months and have always stayed at this Courtyard. The proximity to downtown is really awesome. Pretty much walking distance to everywhere even if you're not a big walker. But honestly, the walking thing is Keene is what Keene is all about. And the chances of getting mugged are SUPER low. As a few others have said, the parking can get dicey. Our thing is basically to get a spot at check-in time (when there usually are plenty), and then just leave the car for the duration of the stay. (See above for the walking thing.) We've never NOT been able to get a spot, but there were a couple close calls. As far as the rooms/service/pricing/all the other stuff goes, never had any issue with any. Nice clean rooms, friendly staff, and the pool is actually pretty nice. I'm not usually "swim in questionable hotel pool" guy, but this one impressed me enough that I went in multiple times with no ill effects to speak of. Your options for accommodations are going to be somewhat limited as it's a pretty small town. But for us there really is no other option needed. This will be our "go to" for the duration.

Yelp
Stayed here and was impressed. Not many Courtyard Marriotts have a pool table in the bar/restaurant area...pretty funny actually. Overall the rooms are nice, cool showers with rain down shower heads. I recommend this place.

Yelp
Two night stay for a wedding. Marriott Fairfield on the square was full so booked here. Room had torn carpet, loose fixtures, tub needing a deep cleaning, etc. Staff was nice though so it squeaks in at 3 stars. Would stay somewhere else next time.

Yelp
If you like to watch TV in bed, make sure you don't get a king bedroom. In none of the king bedrooms do you have the ability to watch TV in bed. I can't ever remember being in a hotel room with the TV that there wasn't viewable from the bed. Wouldn't feel as bad of, the sofa was at least decent.

Yelp
I'd give this puppy a four star. Here's why: Benefits: Great Location, Good Parking, Nice Staff, Clean hotel, Modern Design, Nice Furniture in rooms. Downfalls: Very Cheap Pillows (Bring your own, if possible!), No breakfast, No views out any windows, cheap shades. Overall: The benefits far outweigh the downfalls. For Keene, NH, you're not going to get a better deal than this.

Yelp
Fantastic front desk service. Ideal location. Clean, spacious and quiet room. I cannot rave enough what a pleasant experience my husband, me and my pup had during this visit. I highly recommend this hotel, a stone's throw from good eats and shopping Main Street.

Yelp
This hotel is in a great location. Honestly though I was pretty confused when looking for the parking because the gps brings you up behind the hotel, I think some more signs would be beneficial. The lobby is very nice and even has a pool table. The rooms are large, but don't have the contemporary / recently renovated look. The shower is pretty awesome though. I wish the windows were bigger , the curtains make it seem like they are large, but it's a facade. The employees were nice and I really appreciated that housekeeping did not knock on my door in the morning when I had the sign on the doorknob, some hotels don't honor that as well. Checkout is at noon which is awesome. I would stay again, but hope they adopt some vegan options for the menu, even a veggie burger to sub for beef.

Yelp
Excellent hotel. I've been staying here for the past few weeks as I am a consultant and do a lot of traveling. Without a doubt, this is none of the nicer hotels I've been to. Very clean, very very friendly staff. The rooms are decent size and comfortable. Con: no microwave. You have to go down to the lobby to use one... That's really the only problem I could find. All in all, if you're in town, I recommend the stay

Yelp
The front desk person named Amanda I believe began by telling us we'd showed up a day early for our one night stay. She persisted that the error in booking was ours, even though I explained we'd booked over the phone speaking directly with the hotel. She said she was "shocked" we were there the wrong day. So much for 'the customer's always right'. She proceeding to act surprised that we "only wanted a king size bed" with a group of 4... (2 married adults and 2 daughters). I explained that when booking the room originally I'd requested a pull out couch as well.... (Which I believe is a fairly standard option?) The room: Hairs in the bathtub, and pink stains on the shower curtain as well as one of the towels. No big deal, but worth mentioning. The king sized bed was firm and comfortable, but not the fitted sheet was not put on properly (inside out and not tucked all the way around the mattress) which led to it coming off in the middle of the night. Annoying. The pull out couch. We pulled it out, and found a single pillow, a fitted sheet, and a blanket which needed washed in the cabinet. A flat sheet, clean blanket, and perhaps an additional pillow would have been nice since the bed was being slept on by 2 people. We requested additional pillows from the front desk, and was told they "would try and work on it." Pillows arrived an hour later. We requested a 4th towel (since again, there was 4 of us), which never arrived. The rooms decor was very nice- Lovely that the pictures were of local surrounding. There was however some visible dust, the ice bucket was half full of warm water, and the 2 glasses left on the mini fridge were unclean. I washed lip-prints off one of them before use. Gross. Although quiet time was supposed to begin at 10pm, people were out yelling drunk in the hallways at midnight. Lovely. Additionally, the walls were thin so we could at times hear neighbors, and the shower water the following morning was lukewarm. Oh, We had to laugh at the 2 small bottles of water left in the room with a note stating we'd be billed $8 if we'd consumed the water. And the fact that if you wanted high speed internet, you would need to... yes... pay extra! Too funny. Was it $5.95 a day or some other arbitrary amount? What else? Oh! The TV was not HD, and was a pretty crappy picture. No big deal though, really. Oh, and you can't see the TV from the bed, so don't think you'll be watching TV in bed. What was ridiculous to find though was the lack of USB ports on electrical outlets. Really? This is 2018, and you're a "new" hotel... People have devices! So, if your planning a stay, make sure you bring plenty of plugin USB port to stick in the sockets. One last annoyance. We were charged $25 additional for our dog staying. Fine. Whatever. I get it... Some dogs damage things, urinate on carpets, etc. But, here's the thing: Where exactly does that $25 go? Because our room smelled distinctively of dog.. right down to the blanket my daughter slept with on the pull out couch. There doesn't seem to be much in the way of deep cleaning going on! Perhaps clean linens and maybe a little baking soda in the carpet prior to a vacuum would justify the extra charge. Just a thought. Oy! Sorry... One more thing. The food is expensive and ho hum. There is no complementary breakfast. Aaaaand the fridge is college dorm sized. Normally, we would have chosen a more budget friendly option for a one night stay somewhere. However, we decided to treat ourselves and spring for the nice new hotel downtown. That, was a mistake. I believe next time we'll settle for The Best Western, or some other place. Maybe one that has a pool more than 3 feet deep at the deepest. Sadly, we ended up paying more for a disappointing stay.

Yelp
Great hotel, as gold Elite member stay in a lot of hotels. The staff was great all the way from check in staff up to GM. The rooms are clean and very comfortable. My only reason for not giving a 5 star is they have complimentary coffee in the am, but unless you see it by the business center . You will end up purchasing from the Bistro. When asked was told the difference is it wasn't Starbucks, however when the pots were empty they filled my cup at the bistro. The only other is no gold elite benefits, but overall great hotel and by far best option in Keene.

Christina B.

Yelp
Check-in was easy, and the rooms were very nice, and it's close to the main drag, any number of restaurants and shops within walking distance. I wish we had the chance to try out the pool...perhaps next time. However, our fridge wasn't very cold, and the windows didn't open enough. I'm guessing that's a safety don't-fall-out-the-window feature but dammit, I like to sleep in a cold cave with warm blankets instead of letting the heater dry out my sinuses.

Yelp
Sticking with my 4 star review - my only real knock is the noise level. We were on the 5th floor this time (last time we were on the 2nd) and it was still loud so now I know the walls are thin. The doors slam too because people just let the handles go & they close quite forcefully...and the noise echoes all the way down the hall. I don't think free wi-fi is available in the room but it IS available in the lobby according to the sign that was in our room. I looked around and did not see any microwave in the room, as I suspected before. Once again our room was spotless and that is always the most important thing to me. One minor complaint though regarding the lights - there were 3 light switches in our room inside the doorway...only one worked and the light that did finally come on was very dim. My eyesight is not that great in the dark so it would have been nice to have lights actually come on when I flipped the switch...but really - it's no make or break deal to me. The hotel now participates on Priceline so DO check ahead before you book with the hotel directly...though it probably wouldn't include breakfast, which you can do with the hotel website.

Yelp
This Courtyard is a solid 3.5 stars verging on 4. The front desk staff is delightful, engaging, and friendly. The lobby is clean and spacious. The rooms are nicely appointed with comfortable beds, free internet, and in-room coffee. To tip the scale to that fourth yelp star some staffing assistance on the breakfast and coffee bar would do it. When it gets busy someone needed to help the lone woman who was rushing between orders, making coffees, table service, the kitchen, and bussing. I genuinely felt bad for her and can only imagine how bad it gets when it's really busy. Overall this is a great place to stay when in Keene NH.
google avatar

Bob T.

Yelp
Location is right downtown, walking distance to restaurants, etc. Parking is limited but wasn't a problem. Rooms spacious, common areas very clean, staff very friendly. Prices very reasonable (especially through Priceline). Why only three stars? Hands-down the worst pillows I've ever encountered at a hotel. There were six on the bed which held some clue right there as to how "napkin-like" they were. Headache city. To top it off, no complimentary caffeine.
google avatar

Bill S.

Yelp
We think the Courtyard is the best hotel/motel in the Keene area. It's comfortable and conveniently located and has a friendly and efficient staff. Our recent stay went well, though be advised parking can be an issue; it's too often difficult to find a place nearby. That aside, the rooms are clean and roomy, especially the suites. We found the free wi-fi pretty swift for downloads. Check-in and out went quickly for us. There's an indoor pool (which we didn't use) and a pleasant lounge area where you can get a drink in the evening. The hotel is only a few steps from downtown Keene restaurants and shops. And the prices are typical for Marriott lodgings. We'd recommend a stay here.

Yelp
Very nice hotel. I am a Hilton member but stay at this hotel when in Keene because there are no Hilton options as close to the city. Breakfast is decent for the price. Over-all a good hotel and a great location to downtown Keene.

Yelp
I recently stayed here at the courtyard Marriott in downtown Keene and I would like to share my experience with everyone so that they can make an informed decision when choosing a hotel. The rooms were very nice but me and my friends who shared the room had problems when it came to the service, especially when dealing with the GM, Megan, who turned out to be nothing more than a human version of a form letter. When we were in the room on Saturday night the mirror fell off the wall after being brushed by a duffle bag, it fell and broke. Turns out it was barely hung up by three very tiny hooks making it very easy for it to come off the wall, almost like it was designed to fall. It cost $250 to replace that mirror. A price I still think is ridiculous for any mirror even a "standard courtyard Marriott Mirror" which was the reason it cost so much. I would very much like to know who is picking out these items for the room and how an international brand can't find a better price for items in the room. But okay it was broken and we paid for it the following morning during check out. This is when the real problems with service and especially the GM, Megan, started. I looked at my bank account on Sunday, the morning I had checked out and paid for everything in full, I was not only charged for what I paid for during checkout, in addition to that I was charged another $260. When I called the hotel back and asked why I was charged the additional $260 the front desk associate said it was for incidentals. I couldn't understand why the hotel was holding that much for incidentals. The front desk person, who I called, couldn't figure it out either so I asked to speak to manager to see if she could help me understand why. I was told the GM was in a meeting. I tried called back a few more times hoping to catch the manager when she got out of her meeting over the course of about 2 hours or so and she was still in the meeting. Not wanting to stay on hold until she was free I left my name and number with the front desk person and asked them to have Megan give me a call when she got out. I waited a while longer and called back thinking it was odd I hadn't received a call yet. When I called back a fourth time I was told she had left for the day. She completely ignored my message and just decided to go home for the day after her meeting. This made me upset that Megan the GM just ignored me so I asked to be transferred to her voicemail where I left a message for her to call me back in the morning. The problems did not stop there. I waited on Monday morning for a phone call from Megan to address these problems that I had described to her in the voicemail and by around 11am I decided she was either ignoring me again or just didn't see it as her problem. So I called again where I was transferred to her voicemail again after being told she was in her office. I left a second voicemail explaining the urgency to call me back and received a phone call from her about 5 to 10 minutes later. She explained that the $260 charge for incidentals (specifically to cover the mirror) was being held just in case my card didn't go through when I had paid the morning I checked out and that it was an automatic charge because not everyone checks out as pays in full like we had. Megan had released the money back to me but it would take about 3 to 5 days for me to see it in my account again and kept repeating that this is "standard at any respectable hotel". This was not explained to me when I checked out by anyone and I have never had this type of problem anywhere I have ever stayed. She offered no additional help and never addressed how much trouble this had caused to my travel plans and personal life. I have worked in hotels before and I have never heard of a GM offering so little to ensure their customers are happy. I will say this, they really make sure they (the hotel and Megan) get paid and look out for themselves. I guess repeat business and retention is something they do not care about. But like I said nice rooms just don't brake anything.

Yelp
BEWARE OF HIDDEN FEES!!!! I made reservations for myself, my boyfriend and our dog for this past weekend (Halloween 2015). When I made the reservations, the woman failed to tell me I would be charged an additional $25.00 for each night my dog stays. I was also surprised with a weight limit that they have- must be under 70 pounds!! They're just lucky we have a Retriever and not a Shepard- or else we would have had to find another hotel room that night (while still having to pay for the current reservation)! The hotel was not nearly worth the $120.00 per night- especially when there wasn't anything complimentary! The pool was tiny and there weren't even vending machines- you have to pay $3.00 for a damn Snickers!!! Needless to say, we ended up spending a lot more for our stay than intended and we will NOT be returning!

Yelp
I tried to make a reservation for an overnight stay at this hotel for this past Saturday night. (through Expedia and had a lot of difficulty scheduling) long story short I thought I had a reservation.. When I arrived.. Nope. The reservesation desk asked when I made the reservation and I said last weekend. When they check.. They said oh you had a reservation for last week. Why would I do that? Any way, TN e hotel was totally booked and they did not help me find another place to stay. Hence, that goodness I live 1.5 hors away.. Drove home and back again. With no refund. Even Expedia tried to get me a refund.. But noooooo. It's not like marrett lot money. Especially during this time if year, 2 colleges in the area....

Yelp
Had a really nice stay here for a friend's wedding. New hotel with a contemporary style. If you like what Marriott has done with their hotels recently, as I do, you will like this place. Nice lobby area with a pool table, which is a cool touch. Convenient location, very easy walk into downtown Keene. Small knock in that I got stuck next to some families with small kids who were very loud very early, but that is a danger of any hotel you will visit.

Yelp
Good: Very clean, has little cafe to buy hot and cold breakfast -- serves Starbuck coffee, they have pool table, parking is great, great location. Bad: When we made the reservation, we wrote down we had 5 people -- 4 adults and 1 child. When we went into the room, we were surprised to find out that there were only 3 sets of towels and 1 set of shampoo/conditioner, etc. While going out to dinner, we requested the cot to be brought in and some extra towels and shampoo/conditioner since we have 5 people. The woman who checked us in had a total bad attitude saying, she was not in charge and didn't know anything about it and that the people who was in charge was not there... When we got back from dinner, cot was there, extra towels and ton of shampoo/conditioner, etc... No extra coffee, tea, etc. etc. Here, you have to spell it out for you. One morning, we asked the person to clean the room to come back in 1/2 hour to clean the room -- they never came back... Walls are very very thin and you can hear people talking, people upstairs walking around, people talking outside... You can hear EVERYTHING.

Yelp
Called and spoke with the gentlemen at the front desk to ensure we could check-in after midnight and that there were no travel restrictions before making reservations through a 3rd party site. He asked how many people and confirmed there would be no issue with securing a room. We drive 25 minutes to the location, I wait about 5 minutes after ringing the bell twice. I figured he was taking care of another guest, so no big deal. He comes around the corner with his phone in his hand, unlocks the door and I enter. He greets me by saying "I spoke to you on the phone", to which I respond yes. We begin the check-in process, he asks my name and checks the computer only to respond that he does not have my reservation. Asked when I made it and the dates it was made for. I pull up the reservation on the Booking.com app confirming the information I shared when we spoke on the phone and what he's seeing on the reservation. He tells me we'll have to wait for the reservation to come through, my response is how long does that typically take? He says it normally takes about 30 minutes. We continue the conversation and he says what time did you make it? It was made 1 hour prior to my arrival (showed email confirmation with time). He says the reservation was not completed because I did not pay, which I show him the confirmation email with the policy to pay at the hotel. He then responds that I would have to wait until 4 pm to check in because the rooms have to be cleaned. My response is to get understanding because now I'm not understanding the progression of this conversation. I confirm that he's saying that he does not have a room available, that people cannot check in after midnight and he's not sure why they would allow me to make the reservation that way with something they do not have available. He confirms that is what he's saying. Perplexing situation with a changing story with each question I asked. Not sure what happened from the phone call to my arrival, but I can definitely say I have my theories. Needless to say we didn't get a room and are turned off from Courtyard by this whole experience.

Yelp
Okay what is up with a nice hotel like the Marriott in Keene not offering free breakfast. For the price that we pay for a room breakfast should be included. You used to at least offer coffee and tea in the lobby. Not even doing that anymore. What a shame! My boyfriend and I come in to Keene often to visit with family. We always liked staying at the Marriott best of all the places we could stay. We will go back to staying at The Best Western where the room are less expensive, although not quite as nice. However, The Best Western serves a very nice breakfast for FREE! The Marriott only offers breakfast that you must buy from the Bistro. We did not think the food was that good. Just a little disappointed. Gotta keep up if you want to keep your guest coming back.

Yelp
The hotel itself was a nice place to stay. However, don't bother ordering any room service from the Bistro. They do not have room service. You have to order then go down to the bar to pick it up. The food, eehhhhh. Nothing spectacular, Not to mention the fact that they messed up the simple order 3 times but then they couldn't even get the food right. For example, they forgot to put the bacon on a Cobb salad. Ordered a Rueben sandwich and they forgot to put the sauerkraut on it. It took over 45 minutes to make 3 salads and 2 sandwiches. They were not even busy which made it worse. If they had been busy I would have understood.

Yelp
Nice facility, BIG opportunity with their HR and Operations Management. I reserved a King suite, and upon confirming, a few days before our stay, found out that there was a mistake with the reservation. They were happy enough to fix it , but I was informed that I couldn't get the same price as previously contracted because the computer wouldn't let them. I was offered two free breakfasts for each day of my stay as compensation. Since it was only about a $50.00 difference, I thought that was fair, When I checked in, they knew nothing about the complimentary breakfast, but after explaining the mis-que, I was told that it was fixed and it was all set. The room was fine, but when I got home, sure enough, there was a restaurant charge on the bill. I called right away to try and resolve and after explaining the situation for what seemed like the tenth time, I was told that I would see a $50 credit plus 9% tax refund on my credit card within the next 3-7 business days. Two weeks later, and still no credit, I called back and explained once again the situation, I was assured by the GM, I think his name was Alex, that he would personally issue the credit to my card right away. Well, another week has passed, and still no credit. I don't think I will waste my time calling them again, (It's only $50.00 after all). I should probably bill them for all the time I spent on the phone trying to effect resolution, but I think I have wasted enough time and energy with the Courtyard by Marriott in Keene NH. What a shame that such a pretty spot has such poor communication and management.

Yelp
Stayed for over a week since no choice since local business in the area. The breakfast was awful. I ordered one day and it had to be re-made 3 times. How hard is it to make an omelette with no cheese. The gym was also so HOT that it was probably dangerous. It was over 80 degrees on the internal thermometer (for over 4 days - makes people sick) and I had to tell them to turn it down. The two treadmills were broken - one didn't work at all and the other one was questionable (it doesn't incline/decline and the speed doesn't work either). PLEASE upgrade this hotel. And the ventilation was terrible. I couldn't sleep without turning the air off.

Yelp
My biggest complaint here is the 'kitchen' in the King Suite. Most chain suites have exactly that, a small kitchen or kitchenette. This hotel only has a microwave, a tiny refrigerator (no freezer) and a sink. When you are traveling as a family of 3 with a small child, a kitchenette really helps (which is why I booked a suite). They should really take the word 'kitchen' out of the description on their website. It's misleading and not having one was a big issue for us during our stay with our 2yo. The other issue were the windows that did not lock or have screens or guards of any kind. They should really fix that. Also, no breakfast? We usually stay at Hilton Gardens and there is breakfast (complimentary). This hotel has a "Starbucks" (basically a kiosk that brews Starbucks coffee) with very limited offerings for breakfast to purchase. Muffins and pre made fruit cups. We were disappointed. Other than those big problems, the hotel was extremely clean and the staff were very helpful and friendly. We had no issue with the location, I thought it was excellent location wise. The Main Street in Keene is lovely to stroll and there is an awesome, I repeat awesome Children's Museum on West Street. Overall, I would probably find a more family oriented hotel for next time and I felt a little misled by the information on their website.

Yelp
Stayed here back in January its a newer hotel in a convenient location. The pool is only 3 feet deep which makes it impossible to swim in. A hot tub would have been a better choice

Yelp
Stayed here on business for one night- thank goodness! The hotel was undergoing some interior construction and the outside areas surrounding the property were under major construction. I should have gotten a free car wash with the room since my car was covered with dirt/dust from the construction trucks. I asked for a nice quiet room, my first room was facing the contractors, in a smoking room with a bed that had not been completely made. Not a good first impression. After my complaint, they moved me to a new room which was much better. I would stay here again, primarily for the excellent restaurant located right next door.

Yelp
The hotel was clean. The hotel looks very dated. Parking was ok. They have a lounge which is pretty empty. Pool table with no cues or balls. Starbucks station which was closed for most of the day. The primary reason for two stars was the staff seemed overwhelmed at best with more than one customer. Housekeeping woefully understaffed. On 2nd day returned to room at 4pm and nothing was done. Waited another hour for fresh linens etc. location is close to downtown but in the Keene hangout for panhandlers.

Yelp
So happy with our choice of hotel! Conveniently located, plenty of parking, friendly staff, very comfortable room. The bed is so comfortable that I wish I could take it home with me! My only criticism is that the water-saver faucet and shower head out out so little water that I end up using them for twice as long, which pretty much defeats the purpose...

Yelp
This courtyard is just like any other courtyard... you get what you would expect. One complaint that I do have is their habit of over booking and then offering an "upgrade" to their "sister" hotel. I'm not sure if Marriott owns any of their courtyards or if they are all franchised out but the sister hotel is not a Marriott brand but is owned by the same company/management company as the courtyard in Keene. I don't consider it an upgrade and if I wanted a room there I would have booked one. As I am a regular customer I can typically get a room without too much fuss but that just means that someone else is being forced out. I cannot agree with this business practice. That being said rooms in Keene are few and the options are minimal so I continue to stay.

Yelp
I'm sorry but you need a seeing eye dog to find this place. Who would put a major hotel brand behind three other buildings and a parking garage?! I guess the person who picked this location missed the class talking about the number one thing needed in real estate... LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION! Drive down main street, take first right on the commons/traffic circle, pass the YMCA on the left, go around the parking garage on the right, and hopefully you will see a brick building that looks like the other 100 brick buildings at 11:00 pm at night so you can check in. With so much accessible land in the Keene area I can not believe Marriott put their name on a hotel located here... I know stay at the Hampton Inn in Brattleboro when I am in the area on business... at least you can find the place and not pay for parking.

Yelp
A phenomenal place to stay on business. Clean, new, friendly and helpful staff. Parking was not great... I had to walk kind of far when I arrived late at night because the closer lots were full. Within walking distance of tons of restaurants and shops on Main Street. Also backs right up to a great walking/biking trail.

Yelp
Nice hotel, nice location, clean room, staff very nice. Amenities? Awful. Bar closes at 10pm, restaurant closed early. Closest place for a cocktail was an overly loud sports bar that was more of a nightclub with a DJ.

Yelp
I'm very upset with the original service I received from the woman at the desk when we arrived for our one night stay for Alumni Weekend. We love to stay at the Marriott because it's so close to downtown and convenient to everything. I made a reservation on May 8th and got the last room with two queen beds for friends and my Fiance and I. When we arrived on June 6th the woman told us we had not booked a room, which in fact we did. We asked her to check different spellings and she clearly had no interest in helping us. She or the shift manager did not offer us any thing to ease the inconvenience. We were forced to call multiple hotels to find a room as everything was sold out and forced to spend 80 dollars more on a room further from downtown and with only one bed. The next morning my Fiance's card was charged by the Marriott with a No-Show. We went back and this lady was able to find our name right away with my last name spelled with a F instead of an S. This was very easy to find for her. The manager did speak to us and apologized but nothing was done to try and rectify the situation. I was very upset with how things were handled and the lack of interest the original woman had in helping us on June 6th at 12:00.

Yelp
Friendly staff and a hotel that is in a nice quiet location - just off the main street.
