Hello World

Google
The clerk on check in day was nice but only advised the bistro's hours of operation and nothing else about the property. The AC unit wasn't working notified the front desk clerk luckily maintenance was still on property to fix it. The internet goes in and out( unit TV connection) due to the weather (windy conditions) according to the front desk clerk. The shower had very, very, very low water pressure and had to take a long shower. The unit was clean and in order with no discrepancies noted by the customer ( pictures taken) on check out date for customer reference. The day of checkout I was charged $10.00@day for parking even though a parking pass was given on check in and displayed in my vehicle throughout the stay. The front deck clerk never stated on check in day a parking fee would be applied. In my opinion that is unprofessional and deceitful not to advise the customer of such a charge. A formal complaint will be submitted on the $10.00@ day parking fee in which the customer was not advised by the front desk clerk on check day. Overall rating is 2 stars.

I didn’t do very much in and around the hotel, the room was ok, a little outdated regarding the furniture. The placement of the couch was complete hazard as we continued hitting our legs and ankles on its edge being that it was super close to the bed. The location was near some pretty decent food options and not a long drive to and from the beach. The Bistro attendant was a bit less than friendly when visiting to get coffee one morning and wasn’t very knowledgeable about the menu items.

I stay at this courtyard every quarter as I travel for business. This past trip I had to go back out to my car to put parking paperwork on my dash. Clerk said it was a new policy. Reviewed my bill and was charged $10 for parking. This will be the last time I stay there. It’s not like I was parking in a parking garage.

Bad customer service. I wonder why it’s so hard for hotels to put someone who can smile on the front desk? Set the tone for the stay. Leaky shower poured all over the bathroom floor. One of the cleaners was polite but other than that… I’ve paid less at hotels for a better experience. Hotel itself is adequate. I’d avoid this spot if you’re fortunate enough to read this prior to booking.

I do not write reviews for compensation. I write reviews to "pay it forward." Follow me and tell others too.||Here is my review:||Found this hotel on a Thursday afternoon, just prior to the Memorial Weekend. Was the least expensive close to Panama City Beach (PCB). This hotel sits to the front left of Towneplace Suites (for reference).||Note: Pier Park, Front Beach Rd, Downtown PCB about 15 minutes away, with little or no traffic. ||Exterior of building was not flattering on first look. But no issues or concerns throughout our stay.||Newly renovated hotel! I repeat... newly renovated (Jan 2024). Parking on 3 sides of building. Pool and hot tub in rear. Pool clean, but hot tub needs a good pressure cleaning. Lobby was quiet. Breakfast must be ordered and is not free. Beautiful astethics. One elevator. Three floors.||Rooms were quiet, very functional, full with amenities. Comfortable beds and pillows. Great lighting or lamps all around the room, lots of TV channels, good size fridge and microwave. Clean and hot shower. ||Eric and Robert were extremely helpful. From entrance on day 1 to exit on day 4. Whether it was questions about local eateries, or activities, their personal assistance was above reproach. Took time to open a visitors map and guide around the area, and answered all of our questions. Customer service is top notch and these gentlemen deserved to be recognized. (We had driven from 3.5 hours away, and not familiar with the area).||Primary road (23rd Street) is less than a block away. Most chain restaurants and shopping is located on this road, which runs parallel to the hotel. Tyndall Credit Union and Navy Federal Credit Union bank and ATM are within walking distance. Ask the hotel for a visitors map. It helps too.||I would most definitely recommend!

We stayed one night at the Courtyard in Panama City. It was a great price considering it was spring break. The whole hotel appears to have been renovated recently. The hotel and room was clean; however, we were given a two-queen room rather than the king room we booked. Overall, it was a decent place to stay but nothing particularly special.

Recently renovated interior - lobby and rooms. The front desk was polite, respectful of my room assignment request, and helpful with answering my questions about the local amenities. I was happy to see that this is now a dog friendly hotel.

I'm a big fan of Marriott hotels for many reasons, and this location did not disappoint. The hotel is centrally located to shopping and restaurants. My stay was during a quiet week, so I had little interaction with other guests. I was provided a room with a balcony on the 3rd floor, and it was so nice to be able to leave the sliding glass door open and feel the cool breeze come in as I sat at the desk doing my work. The employees were so nice and accommodating. Theresa who works at the front desk was so kind and thoughtful when assigning me a room. My room was spacious, clean, and the bed was very comfortable. They do have a Bistro downstairs where you can grab your favorite Starbucks coffee on the way out in the morning. Would definitely stay at this location in the future.

Yelp
Candice was fantastic upon check in! There was a mistake with my room and she went above and beyond her way to correct. I appreciate her customer service. I am a Titian Elite Marriott member and stay regularly with Marriott. I greatly appreciate how Candice handled the situation! Thank you!

Yelp
I came to this Courtyard by Marriott in Panama City (not PCB) for work. It was fine. Nothing wonderful, nothing terrible. Check-in was a breeze and the staff was nice. There's a breakfast in the am and the bar area I believe was open from 5-9pm daily. The hotel featured a pool but I saw no towels to use and it looked a little dingy back there. The room was good. Nice size. Had an area for me to work. The bedding was comfortable. The bathroom was a little dated. It had the separate sink/toilet. The towels were decent- some hotels have the cheapest towels. The area of the hotel was so-so. It had a lot of chain restaurants and a dead mall, but nothing really in the area to do. It was great for one night, but multiple nights would not be a place I'd stay. Overall it wasn't bad. I wasn't miserable, it just was an okay hotel.

Yelp
I came here for a quick overnight work trip in PC. The hotel has been updated at least once but isn't the newest tier of Courtyard. The front desk was welcoming and the room was clean. Water pressure and temperature were great in the shower. It was a good hotel but the rate was a bit high in my opinion.

Yelp
The people here are lovely, however, I cannot decide what bodily fluids are on my sheets. I'd rather have rude than concerning stains on my sheets. Maybe change those puppies out for new ones if Spray N Wash doesn't do it? Cheers to fluids.

Yelp
Came here for our first Florida getaway with my daughter and the overall experience was horrible. We literally had to leave the day after arriving. Besides the bug infestation that occurred (ants in the first room and roaches in the second), lack of accessibility to the actual beach without an Uber or rental was disappointing. There was an Air Force convention/training going on so cab's we're barely even available (where you could get one every few hours if lucky). We literally felt stranded and disgusted. Only positive here was informative front desk employees who tried their best to switch us to a decent room.

Yelp
Check in process was dissappointing and customer service not the greatest from Taylor. Rooms are not good, pillows horrible, wall AC struggles. Needed another night so I went up to desk to ask and spoke with PAULA. Horrible attitude and didn't even look in system to check availability, just said if it's not online then I can't help you. Save your money and stay next store where the rooms are better and the employees are nicer.

Yelp
Check-in was easy - carts are avail to help you move your stuff. The rooms are large. We had 2 queen beds. There is a large dorm fridge plus a microwave. There's also a coffeemaker and unlimited coffee is avail - just ask the maids or the front desk. The room was clean and the furniture was well-maintained. Hot water and great water pressure...and we were on the 3rd floor. The location of the hotel is in a very busy area where you can get anything you want. Restaurants, shopping, malls - you name it and it's 5 minutes away. There is a "Bistro" downstairs that cooks meals and makes coffee but we like to go to the grocery and get our own food to save some money. The employees were very friendly. We'd go back for sure.

Yelp
Enjoyed this stay..... Spacious room, roomy enough to accommodate this stay especially since we had our granddaughter.... The location is great ...

Yelp
This was a fine Courtyard with the usual functions and features. I have only one complaint and that's the elephant who was in the room above me on the third floor. Maybe he was wearing hob nail boots or maybe he liked stomping his feet, but listening to him walking around was loud. At least it wasn't for long. Plenty of parking, several restaurants within walking distance and the mall is right across the way.

Yelp
I booked 2 nights through Hotel Tonight at a great rate, and was skeptical after an endless search for an affordable hotel, in a convenient area but the Courtyard did not disappoint and I'm glad I chose to stay here. Smooth check-in considering same day booking through a third party, no hassle, or headache of being double charged. They did place a hold on my account for incidentals, but it was a small amount. Clean rooms, spacious enough for 2 people and I loved the decor! Our room was on the 2nd floor and we were lucky enough to be facing the pool. Enjoyed the fitness room, hate I didn't get a chance to check out the pool and hot tub. This hotel was about 20mins from the beach which may be a con for some but I didn't mind being away from the crowd. Being a short distance from the mall, Target, and other stores and restaurants made up for that. The only con was the 8.95/person for breakfast. They did have complimentary coffee, hot cocoa, and tea by the front desk. Skip the breakfast and head to ihop or any of the other endless restaurant options in the area.

Yelp
Yes this is where I stay when in Panama City Florida. Since the renovations it is perfect. Always Friendly and helpful. I have been using this hotel for over twenty years. My trip here is to visit my Parents. It is clean and well maintained. Bummer when they stopped the free coffee and breakfast however a "sign of the times" Yes I recommend Courtyard Mariott

Yelp
Decent place, but no breakfast, don't love the neighborhood and it is getting old feeling. Not terrible by any means, but not my favorite place. I like staying at another location.

Yelp
Checked in on Friday okay. Woke up on Saturday noticed the comforter had a large stain on the inside, took a shower the water didn't drain out and almost overflowed, the toilet was not cleaned... Reported this to the front desk on Saturday as we were headed out to celebrate my birthday. Returned after a great day out and it was obvious someone had been in the room, they made up the bed with the same sheets and the same nasty comforter, this is horrible..... I just called to the front desk around 1030p and its going to be an issue to get a clean comforter (they don't have any). The poor girl is the only one here and has to go find a clean comforter. I will never stay at this property again!!! We stayed here about a year ago and that experience was great, I don't know if it's the current staff or what but never again.

Yelp
The fear when visiting Panama City is that you are going to get stuck in a filthy room that was last inhabited by a bunch of frat boys who puked and pissed all over the room. There was no sign of that here. In fact, this is a great little hotel. Set back from the road, it isn't easy to see when passing by, but that also makes it quiet. The rooms are clean and spacious and nicely laid out. The front desk staff was very polite and professional. My only complaint is about the wifi. They have a free wifi, which was useless. You can also pay $5 per night for "faster" wifi, which was also nearly useless. All things considered, however, it was a nice stay and we would definitely stay here again.

Yelp
Pros: Only giving it 5 stars because it's conveniently located to the beach businesses shopping & activities area and of course lots of different types of eateries & bars the gym is great and very friendly staff as well now personally I don't really think that it's an expensive place to stay but you might disagree Cons: They have a very small breakfast tray with mostly all things made with eggs/bacon which is not so bad I like eggs and bacon but I also love a lot of variety as well they also have a very small bar that from what I can tell does not really have a set time frame to open but they usually close it down by 7-8pm :( but it's cool lots of nearby bars within walking distant can't go into the pool after 11:30pm but you can party there though speaking about that the last time I was there I saw at least two frogs in the water around closing time

Yelp
Stayed here for our first family spring break vacation and it was WONDERFUL!!! The staff was very attentive, even down to remembering our names and room! Will be staying here again

Yelp
We booked two nights to evacuate Hurricane Matthew. When we arrived we decided to make sure our power would be on when we returned we should stay an additional night. Our room rate went up an additional $50. How nice when people need to leave their homes to escalate the price. Not to mention that we are Gold Elite members. Our last morning we chose to have breakfast. We spent $30 for 2 coffees and 2 eggs breakfast. Both staff in the restaurant belong in an another field of work. Customer service is not for them. We left without eating. The eggs weren't cooked completely, bacon was rancid, toast was burnt and cold and the potatoes had to have been left from the day before. They were hard as rocks. The room was your basic Courtyard. No sound goes unheard. We were on the first floor. The elephants were above us. Front desk staff were pleasant but overwhelmed with a full house.

Yelp
For a Courtyard this place rocks. Normally I've never been really impressed with a Courtyard. From the moment we walked in to check in I was impressed. Ben the front desk guy was superb and super friendly. Would highly recommend this hotel. Rooms are nice although a trademark problem is the bathrooms are often small. Doors get in the way of getting in and out of the shower/tub and well just generally small. Breakfast is $8.95 per person plus tax I assume. Wifi works great in the room.

Yelp
Beautiful hotel, perfect location and extremely professional staff. Did not have a single issue here, their food is a bit pricey, but no more than you´d expect at a hotel. Plenty of great food options within walking distance.

Yelp
We are in town for military promotion and thought we could have grandchildren over to swim but it's Day 4 and pool has mold and algae growing after asking to have it cleaned upon arrival. It's Labor Day week end and thought it would be clean to swim. We are Marriott members and very disappointed in the lack of caring in getting problem resolved.

Yelp
On July 14, 2019 my family, and I stayed at the Courtyard By Marriott Panama City Fl. We had two rooms, and their was problems in both rooms something you would never expect from Marriott. As always when we check into a hotel or resort which 99.9 percent a Marriott hotel or resort, we always clean up the room with cleaning products, and check the beds for bed bugs, blood, or hair and spray the beds, chairs, or couch down with Lysol. When my daughter cleaned her toilet in her room their was human feces left on the toilet. Now hold on things got worst. We leave our rooms after cleaning up to eat, and look around town. After returning back to our room. Hold on tight! You wouldn't believe what I saw on the floor! A baby roach crawling on the floor. I'm like what! I never seen anything like this in a Marriott hotel. I get a napkin pick up the roach, and take it down stair to the front desk, and report it to the staff member at the front desk. She said I'm so sorry, we have had that problem since hurricane hit in 2018, Now it's July 2019, I don't know what to do but I will report it to management. I said really, and ask if someone can come up, and spray our room? She stated no one was on staff to do that, and we have small children with us, and she don't want the fumes to harm the kids. I said they are in another room, she said I will have someone spray in the morning, I said we are checking out in the morning, well thank you, and have a good night. I went to our to prepare for the night afraid baby roaches might get in our luggage, and we would take them home with us, and if you know anything about baby roaches you need a professional exterminator to get rid of them. On the next morning when my husband awake their was another baby roach crawling around in our room, so I handed him a napkin, and he took it down to the front desk, and the tall staff member said ok, like what you want me to do. Well when we arrived we asked for a late check out, so we had until 2:00 pm to check, I said to my family oh no we getting ready, and checking out of this roach hotel at the regular check out time. Before we went downstairs to check out, my daughter informed me about the human feces on her toilet, and she had roaches crawling in her room. When we arrived downstairs I ask to see management. Ms Candice came out, I explained what was going on. She said I'm so sorry, I understand your concerns. May I give you some points? I will give you 5000 points, but I'm so sorry. I said ok, and you have a nice day. Now remember I had two rooms, and there were problems in both rooms, and my husband is a gold member, and I'm a platinum elite. To me 5000 points wasn't enough, and yes we used point to stay, but dealing with roaches, and humans feces left on your toilet is too much for me, and I will never stand, and argue with anyone about a issue, I will walk away, and write a review so everyone will be aware of what's going on at this Courtyard by Marriott in Panama City Florida. Again Beware before checking in they have baby Roaches crawling around in the guest rooms, and if you really think about the situation they are in the kitchen because this has been a problem since 2018. So check your food before you eat. I will never stay at this Courtyard by Marriott again.

Shaketta J.

Yelp
My and my two little girls stayed here absolutely loved it. Great staff very welcoming. Everything was nice and clean no loud noise. It's close to everything.

Yelp
Nice rooms and good customer service. No wi fi in rooms which is strange for luxury hotel. Also, small decor issues show that rooms were renovated, but not completely. Doors between rooms are thin. A bit pricey too for what you get. Nice secluded location.

David P.

Yelp
I am a very frequent traveler. I stay in hotels approx. 200+ nights a year. I am also a platinum rewards member, been one for years. I always tried to pick stays at a Marriott until I just checked in at this hotel. I made reservations over a week ago, but was not able to check in till after 9:00pm. When checking in I was assigned a handicap room, which I feel very uncomfortable being in (for personal reasons) and requested a different room. None was provided. It was either take this room or none at all. I called around to other hotels, all were booked. So I took room and called customer service and initially spoke with a CSA named Ana Lease who was indignity over the fact that I was actually complaining, and her tone and demeanor were offensive to me. She stated "I am sorry you feel that way," which is not an acknowledgment of my issue, but just a sorry you have an issue. I told her not to say that as it was inappropriate, yet, she did nonetheless as if to tell me to bug off. I asked her to speak with her supervisor. Finally, Evelyn her superior comes on the line, and states the same response, but continues to over talk me on the phone before I can explain my position why I will never come back to a Marriott. I ask her multiple times not to over speak me, but final I say to her that her talking over me is akin to a child over speaking his/her parent while the parent was talking, and as such that was disrespectful. She then stated since I compared her to a child, she was done and hung up. Unbelievable. I am done with Marriott. And, in the bathroom there was a dead bug squashed on the bathroom floor and the bathroom light switch was visible dirty (I took photographs of this for future reference). And my room telephone did not work. But I never had a chance to discuss that as the supervisor took her first opportunity to end the call, on false pretenses. Never again at this hotel. Never again Marriott. In my opinion choose another hotel, if at all possible. Good bye Marriott.

Yelp
Worst customer service I have ever experienced. I work in the hospitality industry and I would never ever speak to my guests the way Stephanie(AM) and especially Scott (GM)spoke to my dad and I. We stayed here July 4th, our hotel room was 200 dollars a night, and there was construction going on the ENTIRE time we were there and we were not informed about this before getting to the hotel. We did not sleep. We drove eight hours to get to a noisy hotel. We complained and they did not offer to move us. We complained the next morning, because they woke us up at 8 am. Once again, did not move us. They offered us an eight dollar breakfast.(ppppfffffftttt...) Don't go here. Worst money I have ever spent in my life. The room is nice, but if you want to be treated poorly then this is the place to go.
